24… I know… I don’t love em all either. I probably should have only made 3 plays but I’ve been pretty hot this season, so I figured I’d take some shots this week.

The Philly pick was mainly because of the trends.. Cowboys as usually over bet and there’s value the other way on most weeks. Definitely don’t love Philly caz their D is horrid, but I’m anticipating Romo to hand the Eagles a 4th quarter gift.

I view Boise vs Nevada as a complete mismatch. Boise grinds people down with their run game and Nevada can’t stop anybody… UNR requires the other team to stop themselves. UNR might backdoor cover, that’s the scary part.

I’m saying that Chow, Jordan Wynn and his offense took a lot of heat from us in the first 3 games and Kaumeyer’s defense was pretty darn stout. Then the defense went into regression and started giving up big plays and not stopping offenses on 3rd downs or penalties that extend drives. Which ultimately led to them staying on the field for sustained drives that led to 70 to 112 offensive plays defended. And 500+ yards given up in the past 3 games.

Since a lot of teams are going fast pace, up tempo, no huddle, fast break type offenses that is the same as Hawaii offense tempo. I don’t buy into the offense is scoring to fast or what not and the defense is getting left out to dry theory. Because the past 3 opponets defenses gave up a lot of points to Hawaii up tempo offense as well but played better than Kaumeyers defense. Kaumeyer needs to fix his porous defense that is giving up 300+ yards in the air and around 200 yards on the ground. Because there is not many offenses that can score more points the opponents with a defense like Kaumeyer’ s is right now.

For fun & games, how about bull-in-the-ring with the habitual unhappy self-proclaimed football “experts” taking turns in the middle:)

37. The offense isn’t scoring too fast. The offense is simply putting on the field too long of periods in a game… Scoring points is nice, but you need balanced scoring through out the game. Not just at the end of the game down 3 scores…

Where is the offense the 1st 3 quarters while the Defense is fighting to keep the game close? The score was 36-17 in the 4th quarter… That isn’t enough scoring… So Hawaii scores late once again and gives fans false hope like the offense is finally clicking…

Hawaii opened up the game with a 3 and out.. That’s awful. You script a game plan going up into that and hang a 3 and out. Hawaii didn’t score in the 1st quarter and punted on 1st 3 possessions… You think the defense likes that? Not to mention Bubba Luna almost takes it to the house and Hawaii comes up empty.

How about the offense move the ball throughout the entire game and not just the 1st 2 possessions(San Jose St) or final 3 possessions(UNLV) Its a 4 quarter game

48. Technically, you don’t hire grad assistants. The real mistake was hiring Price who didn’t work out and having to throw Wynn under the fire.

Regardless, I don’t know how much a difference it all makes. The team’s lack of discipline on both sides of the ball fall on the HC in my eyes and the only unit that is under control is Special Teams.

We draw up 1-2 creative plays a game whether is a reverse to Gant vs San Jose St. or Kwamane Bownes vs UNLV. We need to draw up more plays that give our best play makers the ball in space.

If Chow really wanted another OC then he could’ve went out and hired somebody else. It’s painfully obvious that the game has totally passed him by and we need an OC who knows and understands todays game.

I am not defending the Defense at all.. They have been bad….

But by no means is the offense performing either… The defense can’t simply be on the field for 100 plays a game. Especially on the road.

Whether the offense scores or not, they don’t sustain any long drives. Most of the time, the offense isn’t scoring though considering the amount of possessions they get.

Hawaii scored 2 TDs in a row in the 1st half. I wouldn’t call that scoring at will. Throughout the ball game, it can’t be quick 3 and out or quick score. There has to be some medium in there where the offense gains a few 1st downs and punts. Or move down the field and kick a FG. There are too many long droughts where no offense is being played and then at the end of the game the offense starts moving.

I really think that the reason that we are 0 and 6 is because of the “Swoosh”. Ever since we lost the “Swoosh”, we have lost our mojo. Bring back the “Swoosh”, and we’ll get our mojo back. Wins will follow..

I like what Hawaii is doing offensively. Their offensive split between run/pass plays has been real good in the last two games. I like that 35/65 split between run and pass plays. Unfortunately Hawaii hasn’t done as well on the average per run play as they could or should be doing. The 5.0 yards per rush is an adequate number. Perhaps we could continue for the rest of the season with that per rush average.

UH soccer team picks up first Big West road win

The Hawaii soccer team picked up its first ever road win in Big West Conference play with a 2-0 defeat of UC Davis today.

UH (7-7, 2-3 BWC) broke open the game midway through the second half. Junior forward Tiana Fujimoto scored the go-ahead goal in the 74th minute and it was followed two minutes later by an own goal on the Aggies (3-7-3, 0-2-1).

The Rainbow Wahine kept themselves in the hunt for one of four BWC tournament berths with the win, and will look for another on Sunday at Long Beach State.

Unfortunately for the Wahine, freshman striker Kama Pascua received a second yellow card in the 88th minute, equaling a red and automatic ejection. By rule, she must sit out the team’s next match.

UH was previously 0-6-1 on the road in Big West play since joining the league in 2012.

Fujimoto’s goal was the 20th of her career and career-best ninth of the season. Freshman goalkeeper Monk Berger, inserted back into the starting lineup, had six saves for her fifth shutout of the season.

Shouldnt compare jordan wynn with dave aranda. Aranda was already a defensive coordinator before coming to hawaii.

30% third down margin. We need to get that up to 40, 42, and better 45%. Of course as our expert Jeezy always says we need to do a better job on first down. We need to gain at least four yards on about 55 to 60% of our first down opportunities. That ‘ll give us a good chance of reaching our 3rd down percentage goals.

Hot dog with pork and beans is one ‘ono meal. Das how we grew up in the homestead. Dat was better than the corned beef with da onions (I used to get the head slap for complaining). On occasion when grandpa actually earned a paycheck, he would stop by da market at chinatown for roast pork, char siu pork, maui onions, dipped in hawaiian salt, and da nastiest three day old poi. Dat was da best dinner up da heights of Papakolea.
