Warriors land receiver, two linebackers

Two JC linebackers and a receiver accepted scholarship offers from the Warriors this morning. They are:

• Julian Gener, 6-0, 230, of Mount San Antonio College.

• Tevita Lataimua, 5-11, 230, of College of San Mateo.

• Wide receiver Stacey Howard, of San Bernardino Valley College.

Also, wide receiver Terrance Polk reaffirmed an earlier oral commitment to the Warriors.

Of note: The surfing instructor on this trip? Quarterback Taylor Graham … of Ohio.

Gonna be kinda crowded in that LB group this Spring.

Like the news about the potential QB1…need good footwork to ride da waves!

    Good morning everyone!

    Aloha to the new Warrior!

    Ohayooooooooooooooogozaimasu!!!!

You looking for a recent Hawaii winner on the mainland? Online search for one <b}Matthew Hashimoto — Hawaii dentist[!] — who sang At Last at the challenge of all challenges, The Apollo Theatre (Apollo Live TV show on BET). Incredible, shocking . . . and he WON his round!!!!

Yes. That Etta James’ (not Beyoncé’s, please) At Last.

  12. d1shima December 9, 2012 9:27 am

Are Polk and/or Howard the “field-stretching” kinda receivers?

  13. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 9:27 am

I’ve learned a new phrase: “Trigger.”

These are trigger linebackers. They quickly identify the play, then they attack.

  14. Chicken Grease December 9, 2012 9:28 am

Cripes, d1shima, post are not Doritos chips. 🙂

  15. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 9:29 am

Polk and Howard can get deep. Fast.

I’m still hopeful that Billy Ray Stutzmann and Trevor Davis can step up big next year.

    ST & Tsaiko Blog Dogs:

Much thanks to JJ and the rest of the unnamed Tsaikos for setting up the annual Xmas party. Fuud was guud, so was the beer, and the Tsaikos who were there to join in the camaraderie.

  19. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 9:33 am

    d1shima:

Did you go to the party last night? You weren’t there when we arrived.

  20. d1shima December 9, 2012 9:35 am

How would I actually know you arrived?

  21. d1shima December 9, 2012 9:36 am

Yep, I left with Jason. One of us needed to be in church early this morning.

  22. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 9:38 am

    d1:

Well, I would be walking in, while locked arms with DPK, while Bruddah Iz’s Hawaii ’78 played.

  23. d1shima December 9, 2012 9:38 am

Although, I would have liked to have seen the room light up when you folks showed up in your “Club Clothes”!

  24. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 9:39 am

    d1:

We would have been there earlier, but we had to do our Gangnam Style dance.

  25. Old School Dave December 9, 2012 9:39 am

Good Job Taylor!! Welcome new Warriors!!

  26. d1shima December 9, 2012 9:40 am

Well, with the way things went for Hawaii favorites in the ring last night, I suppose DPK getting you in an arm lock wouldn’t have been beyond belief….

  27. d1shima December 9, 2012 9:41 am

OSD liked the Grammy Awards Concert Show?

  28. Chicken Grease December 9, 2012 9:42 am

How was the party, everboty? Hope you had fun. You Tsaikos and Tsaikettes deserve to have fun. All conscientious, hard-working people.

ST and d1shima, no fight, OK? 🙂

Look for Bob Costas on that lousy NBC football show (wish Al Michaels would leave that show) today to call for a prohibition on cars and driving, but, that NFL football players should still be allowed to drink alcohol. R.I.P., Jerry Brown and go straight to jail, do not collect $200, Josh Brent.

  29. d1shima December 9, 2012 9:42 am

…from the “Low” rent district to the highs of the Gangnam area?

  30. d1shima December 9, 2012 9:43 am

    CG,

No fight is always fine with me.

  31. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 9:43 am

It seems redshirting was the best thing for Graham.

He got to immerse in the lifestyle. Even on karaoke night, he was near the front, singing and dancing away with the redshirts.

  32. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 9:45 am

    d1:

    # 28, meaning, that show should be google times greatful they HAVE Al Michaels. He’s the best.

    # 30, d1shima — OK, fight a GREASE instead, then, c’mon, bring it. Hahaah, nah, it’s the holidays, no time for fighting. Bless you all.

  38. Old School Dave December 9, 2012 9:57 am

Geez! A team resembling the SD Chargers is leading the Steelers 27-10.

  39. Old School Dave December 9, 2012 10:10 am

Looks like the UH linebacking corps will be very competitive in 2013.

  41. el burro sabio December 9, 2012 10:14 am

Nice, that makes 12-14 verbals depending on how you count. Hoping for verbals from some offensive linemen.

  42. kapakahi December 9, 2012 10:14 am

    #15,

I’m just hopeful that TD is still a Warrior next season.

  43. kapakahi December 9, 2012 10:16 am

Might even be nicer IF Warriors can eventually secure a commitment from that 5th visitor from this past weekend.

  44. 3-Prong December 9, 2012 10:17 am

d1: ……by the way, Happy Hanukkah!

  45. kapakahi December 9, 2012 10:22 am

    #43,

Actually not really a true “visitor”…..since only really a short drive away.

  46. SteveM December 9, 2012 10:24 am

    d1shima:

    December 9th, 2012 at 9:45 am

    SteveM,

    Wea wuz you last night?

Smart money said last night you wouldn’t be able to ‘splain dat on this family blog!

Really? I was hoping for a last-minute $699 cruise but was at home just like the last 4 parties…having found the usual venue niche too confining for more than 25 people. So stopped going to not exacerbate things more by adding to the body count…and some of us have large bodies. 😐

But I received a couple messages that there was sufficient space with good fuud last night. I am encouraged for next year.

  47. kapakahi December 9, 2012 10:24 am

    #41,

That “visitor” would definitely be one of those coveted.

  48. sl1322 December 9, 2012 10:32 am

    #43,

    Any hints? Koehler?

  49. el burro sabio December 9, 2012 10:36 am

kapakahi, how many other “visitors” in addition to the 5 you mentioned yesterday?

  50. ai-eee-soos December 9, 2012 10:40 am

#40 kapakahi: thanks for the vid.

WR Stacey Howard – ” goes across the middle”, and also blocks well.

Looks like we got a player !!!

  51. kapakahi December 9, 2012 10:41 am

    #49,

The earlier hints were apparently all that were needed. Looked to be lone local “visitor” this past weekend.

  52. el burro sabio December 9, 2012 10:46 am

    Thanks kapakahi

  53. Warrior Dave December 9, 2012 10:47 am

So glad Chow getti g some new players in to compete, especially at wide receiver position. I love Davis and Stutzman but they need to take up a few notches.

  54. kapakahi December 9, 2012 10:48 am

    #50,

Was premature on the Arizona visitors.

Now only one (that fills the desired position) is still supposed to visit soon…..apparently this coming weekend. The other one is apparently now pending.

  55. kapakahi December 9, 2012 10:49 am

    #15 & #54,

Just repeating that….I’m just hopeful that TD is still a Warrior next season.

  56. Kekoa December 9, 2012 10:59 am

Table #2 was looking to each other for the ‘cue’ when Mr. Tsai made his grand entrance. Since it was prolly the 1st time any of us have seen him in a suit since forever – we weren’t sure what the protocol called for. Not knowing wether to bow at the waist or genuflect as he passed our table, thank goodness I received a Xmas hug from Wena to lighten the mood!

We salute you ST! We raised our glasses in appreciation for your constant pursuit of Warrior news. We were happy to toast our fearless Blogmeister with a liter of our fave adult beverage. Prost-Prost-Kamarade!

  57. sl1322 December 9, 2012 11:01 am

    Thanks Kapakahi.

Is Moala still scheduled to transfer?

  58. innocent observer December 9, 2012 11:09 am

thought that chow is looking for size – 6 feet or less linebackers are not bigger that those we have now. size and speed should be the requirement.

  59. DoubleB December 9, 2012 11:23 am

@59 5’11” 225 looks quick and solid. I watched every second of all 3 JC guys vids… And Lataimua looks like a very good get to me, my favorite of the three.

  60. DoubleB December 9, 2012 11:26 am

Mahalo Kapakahi really appreciate the info you provide.

  61. Kevin December 9, 2012 11:28 am

Where does one surf in the state of Ohio?

    Oh yeah, nevermind.

  62. DoubleB December 9, 2012 11:35 am

    Kevin,

One thing about surfing I almost forgot while rearing 3 kids and working 2 jobs ( I wasn’t able to surf for years ) it’s great excercise, basically free as long as you have a board, and highly addicting. Oops that’s 3 things.

  63. Derek December 9, 2012 11:55 am

Tevita looks like a bad a—-. What a hitter and he runs like a RB. Reminds me of Manti. Need OL, DL, DBS , Punter, and LS, and a special player.

  64. Slugger December 9, 2012 12:08 pm

Nice! Looking forward to seeing these recruits on the field.

Mahalo, JJ & crew who helped with the par-tay! It was great to hang out with the Tsaiko ‘ohana. I actually tried their Aloha Brew red, not too bad. For those of you who have never seen me drink a beer, you missed it.

K, off to meet an AZ friend for another one of the F’s… Fuud…

    Laters…

  65. wafan December 9, 2012 12:19 pm

    Good Sunday afternoon!

  66. wafan December 9, 2012 12:20 pm

    Welcome to the new Warriors!

    Whoo-hoo!!!

  67. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 12:23 pm

Actually, there were more recruits here than Kapakahi has stated.

  68. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 12:25 pm

    Trevor Davis is staying.

    Cecil Doe is staying.

UH isn’t cutting any scholarship player.

  69. iwonderwhytheyhateme December 9, 2012 12:29 pm

    So nice of UH.

  70. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 12:31 pm

I was a junior at UH when I was hired as a part-time reporter at UH.

Covered everything — canoe races, high school sports, marathons, half-marathons, surfing, Samoan banquets, boxing, etc.

Some shifts my job was to file photos. I’m fairly certain I put some Pete Rose photos in the Jimmy Connors folder.

On UH football nights, I’d edit through the middle of the third quarter, then drive to Aloha Stadium and get quotes for “Ferd.”

I was passed over four times for a full-time job.

Managing editor said Bart Asato and I should go to the mainland if we wanted full-time jobs.

But we stayed, and a new managing editor (Gerry Keir) and sports editor (Clyde Mizumoto) hired us as full-timers.

That’s how it is at UH. People can paint a picture of the future. It’s up to each whether it becomes a reality.

  71. iwonderwhytheyhateme December 9, 2012 12:35 pm

Picture of 5 recruits who took their visit here. I think its Howard’s instagram account.

  72. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 12:38 pm

    IWWTHM:

    A) Number is still off.

    B) Why are you following Howard on Instagram?

  73. Bryson December 9, 2012 12:42 pm

Great news on the JC commits also Ronald Fields sounds like he’s a Warrior still…

  74. iwonderwhytheyhateme December 9, 2012 12:42 pm

    ST,

Link was posted on another board’s thread. Thought it was a nice pic though with the new “H” in the background and such.

  75. d1shima December 9, 2012 12:43 pm

Nice analogy, Stephen…for UHAD and practically anywhere else, too!

  76. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 12:45 pm

    IWWTHM

Actually, it’s good that you’re able to post updates. I appreciate that.

  77. iwonderwhytheyhateme December 9, 2012 12:48 pm

    ST,

No problem. Not really an update since it appears the post is a few days old. Then again, its better than my usual questions. lol.

  78. iwonderwhytheyhateme December 9, 2012 12:50 pm

    d1,

How were the shrimp cakes last night?

    …Oops, that didn’t last long.

  79. Stephen Tsai December 9, 2012 12:50 pm

    IWWTHM:

Aw, I like how you question things.

That’s why I thought you should have stuck it out in politics.

You remind me of Mark Takai when he was younger.

  80. DoubleB December 9, 2012 12:51 pm

    @74 Mahalos

  81. Lockdown December 9, 2012 12:54 pm

I’ve heard that former Campbell h.s WR Daniel Masifilo is planning on transferring from Arizona State to play at home

  82. iwonderwhytheyhateme December 9, 2012 12:54 pm

    ST,

Who knows what the future holds. More questions. More pictures. More campaigns. One thing for sure, I will task Pomai with being my campaign manager.

  83. d1shima December 9, 2012 12:56 pm

    iwwthm,

Shrimp cakes were terrific! As was every other selection carefully selected by (J)J. 🙂

  84. kapakahi December 9, 2012 12:57 pm

    #71 & #72,

JMHO but that big fella on the right end of the photo looks every bit as physically mature as the rest of the fellas….even though he’s the only one still in high school.

While he played RT this past high school season, definitely better suited to play OG at the next level.

  85. Capitol -ist/WassupDoc December 9, 2012 12:57 pm

In case you are interested in how collegiate football players become pros, get ahold of the book ILLEGAL PROCEDURE by Josh Luchs and co-writer James Dale. Josh started his career as a professional sports agent trainee when he was in high school and continued until 2008 when he was suspended by the NFL Players Association.

Think politics is dirty? I had no knowledge of how the pro recruiting system works. The book also gave me another look at what happened – or didn’t – to one of the Warriors’ stars even though he is not mentioned.

The pro sports industry is HUGE – not just what is paid to the players and coaches but also to the people who benefit from collegiate and professional sports – like restaurants, hotels, car rentals, and clothing retailers.

  86. jm2375 (iPad) December 9, 2012 1:07 pm

    Howzit Tsaikos!!

    Welcome to the new Warriors!

Had a great time last night at the pahtay. I also tried one of their beers. Pretty good. Haven’t had one in a while. Thanks to te organizers. Highlight was seeing ST in his monkey suit. J/k.

  87. kapakahi December 9, 2012 1:15 pm

    #81,

Nice to hear!….about one of David Veikune’s cousins.

Just hoping that another cousin (Pun soph starting LT #58 Semisi Uluave) will also consider becoming a Warrior 2 years from now.

    Ninahz!

  91. Da Punchbowl Kid December 9, 2012 1:31 pm

Sounds like a good party last night – sorry I missed it.

We had a family thing at my brother’s which was rescheduled at the last minute to next week, to accomodate the the family members who changed THEIR Oahu visit dates at the last minute. In Nov./Dec. we have six birthdays in our immediate family, and our anniversay, along with the regular holidays. Next year we’re going to have a Scorpiopalooza birthday bash with a couple dozen mainland family members flying in.

  92. Capitol -ist/WassupDoc December 9, 2012 1:31 pm

In #85 above, I left out the complete title of the book: ILLEGAL PROCEDURE: A Sports Agent Comes Clean On The Dirty Business Of College Football.

  93. Da Punchbowl Kid December 9, 2012 1:31 pm

    Welcome to the new recruits.

  94. wowlaulau December 9, 2012 1:38 pm

    Ron Fields to UH?

  95. Sterbegeldversicherung December 9, 2012 2:23 pm

I enjoy, cause I discovered just what I used to be taking a look for. You have ended my 4 day long hunt! God Bless you man. Have a nice day. Bye

  96. PurpleMaple December 9, 2012 2:27 pm

Recuiting quota must be at near max with the thirteen verbal commits, plus the report that no scholarship players will be cut. Also note only one OL in the group of 13. This tells me there were greater concerns other than the offensive line.

  97. kama krab December 9, 2012 2:58 pm

    Howzit Everybody,

    Kapakahi #87,

That Punahou class of 2015 is stacked. Semisi is just one of maybe 6-7 kids from that class that could see themselves in a D-1 program. I think Hawaii has a chance at all of them.

But yes Semisi is a beast and he is just a soph. Wait till his senior year. He will be bigger, stronger, and nastier. The boy will not only be a top ranked prospect in the state, but also in the nation. Same for a couple of his teammates.

  98. TM December 9, 2012 2:59 pm

Ronald Fields has recommitted to UH!!!!

    https://twitter.com/Rondigga/status/277895535619358721

  99. kama krab December 9, 2012 3:00 pm

    PurpleMaple #96,

I think the 13 count was before the defections. I think we now have close to or more than 20 to give out. I am sure once all is said and done, we will have our 25 to give out.

  100. gobows December 9, 2012 3:03 pm

    kapakahi:

    December 8th, 2012 at 5:39 pm

Looks like the following JC prospects are now tripping here….

    – WR Stacey Howard (San Bernardino Valley College, CA.)

    – LB Tevita Lataimua (College of San Mateo, CA.)

    – OT David Griffin (Mesa Community College, AZ.)

    – TE Tristan McClelland (Mesa Community College, AZ.)

    – OLB Julian Austin Gener (Mount San Antonio College, CA.)

  101. gobows December 9, 2012 3:24 pm

tevita appears to cover side to side, and likes to lay out receivers. all his highlights come on passing plays or receiver runs. all his highlights the offense is unable to get a hat on him. opposing coaches are lame. they probably would have more success if they tried to block the guy.

  102. gobows December 9, 2012 3:29 pm

howard looks like a possession receiver. catches the ball with his hands. at 6-4, probably not a blazer, no highlight of him beating a man deep. had plays where he’s wide open down field appeared to be broken coverage. didn’t see him going over the middle, but does catch the inside slant like trevor davis.

  103. gobows December 9, 2012 3:32 pm

i guess not a lot of running in the jc ranks. smart. easiest way to score is through the air. can’t win games without scoring.

  104. tommui December 9, 2012 3:43 pm

    GOOD AFTERNOON HAWAII!

Guess our crazy season didn’t scare recruiting.

hi Im Ron Fields corner back at the university of hawaii. CB # 21 #TeamStrive #Team 916

ron fields is already at UH

    http://hawaiiathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11542

UH roster lists samson anguay as #21

  106. PurpleMaple December 9, 2012 3:46 pm

Kama crab, thanks for uipdate. I think we need a couple of Offensive Tackles and would be good if David Maka, center prospect, signs with Hawaii. Need depth at center. Also OT David Griffin is listed by Rivals as a commit to South Alabama. Why would he commit there? Hawaii just whopped them.

  107. Da Punchbowl Kid December 9, 2012 3:48 pm

    Tom –

Guess you’re right! 😉 Let’s keep that snowball rollin’ and buildin’!

Hope the reports about Fields pan out.

    GO WARRIORS!!!

#111 – they might have done that before finding out he wasn’t cleared. You can find Justin Turner too, but he’s not on the roster either.

  115. kapakahi December 9, 2012 5:46 pm

    #97. KK,

Gotta agree that the Punahou Class of 2015 looks stacked (Fitisemanu, Kaumatule, Lakalaka, Noa, Uluave, etc.), but those also a few others in the ILH Class of 2015 too….

    ….at the Kapalama-Oahu campus….

    – FB Sala Wily (Aofaga’s younger bro)

    – RB Kaulana Apelu

    – DE Mika Tafua

    ….while the Crusaders have….

    – OL Fred Ulu-Perry

  116. kapakahi December 9, 2012 5:51 pm

    #106,

Maka offered by UCLA, Utah, Utah State, San Diego State, Colorado State and UTEP, while Griffin supposed to be tripping here soon (see post #54).

  117. kapakahi December 9, 2012 6:00 pm

JC WR Vasquez Haynes (Blinn College, Tx.) apparently was or is still tripping here….

  118. al December 9, 2012 6:37 pm

    Nice pickups.

  120. Hawkpeter December 9, 2012 7:24 pm

That bidding went a bit nuts there at the end for the Wounded Warrior jerseys. #71 went for over $1000, #1 went for at least $700, I was going for #66, someone bid $800. Crazy. #13 and #42 also raised good money.

  121. Treva Morneault December 9, 2012 7:30 pm

I have been exploring for a bit for any high quality articles or blog posts on this kind of area . Exploring in Yahoo I at last stumbled upon this web site. Like the commits! Keep em coming.

  129. tommui December 9, 2012 8:34 pm

    AL re 118

I thought you left town already.

  130. tommui December 9, 2012 8:38 pm

I was talking to a teacher at Punahou who says that athletes and non-athletes have to take the same (core) courses and there is no separate but equal track.

  131. Derek December 9, 2012 8:42 pm

Looked like one of the recruits visiting this weekend was Reeve Kohler. The commited recrulits all look pretty good on tape. Are they joining the program in January or in the summer? I thought linebacker was not a position in need for the program right now! Including these 2 JC guys, there is also Drake Miller, Rashaan Falemalu, and maybe David Manoa, unless he’s a DE. Just asking.

  132. d1shima December 9, 2012 8:46 pm

    iwwthm,

  134. al December 9, 2012 9:18 pm

Tom…I am in the city of broken dreams.

  135. vk December 9, 2012 9:38 pm

Used to wonder why June Jones had 17 OL, 12 WR and 6 QBs on the roster. Then you see the injuries we had this season and you understand. He built competition in camp and kept it going, and he had the depth as well to survive the season. Got’ta get back to that level of recruitment.

  136. WarriorMojo December 9, 2012 9:43 pm

Well, I completely forgot that the UA Wounded Warrior auction ended tonight. Anyone win?

  137. dino December 9, 2012 9:48 pm

as coach chow says, recruit, recruit, recruit. in the meantime, i shall support the hawai’i bowl, SMU vs Fresno State, purchasing game tix before kickoff. hawai’i hasn’t been in the bowl for 2 years. the bowl is required to have an average attendance of 25,000 over a three year period.

  138. yojimbo December 9, 2012 9:50 pm

i thought chow dog was looking for big boys? these linebackers are not the prototype that i thought he was looking for. whats up??

  139. Kaimiloa December 9, 2012 10:08 pm

Scout.com has a 4* DE visiting next weekend.

  140. kapakahi December 9, 2012 10:15 pm

    #131,

    Yup about Reeve. Discussed earlier.

While LB supposedly not high priority position for recruiting, no returnee really claimed the MACK ‘backer position. TJ started the season there but got moved to the SAM; GDL got lost in the shuffle; and Brendan Daley was the one mostly getting reps at the end of the season after Benny Fonua got dinged up (while transitioning from mostly playing the SAM in high school for Kahuku). Even Kamalani Alo was getting some game reps at the MACK on passing situations in addition to the WILL for the last 2 games. With Daley a senior next season, looks like Lataimua will compete at the MACK. Also, with Art Laurel a senior next season, looks like Gener will compete at the WILL. Drake Miller could play either the MACK or the SAM, while Rashaan will likely compete at the WILL. Rashaan showed great range in the HHSSA D1 State Finals when he lined up at free safety and rover.

David Manoa recruited by Powell to be a DE.

  141. Chicken Grease December 9, 2012 10:32 pm

Hahahahahah, a Grease had to laugh at that, too, re: triple choclate cake calries. Whoooooo-hooooooooo, sounds great, might try it!!!

Gonna have any beer recipes? Found some good ‘uns inspired by Game of Thrones.

  142. jm2375 (Infuse) December 9, 2012 11:02 pm

Iwwthm – dude, you know where we are. No excuses.

  143. ai-eee-soos December 9, 2012 11:26 pm

posted Dec. 8th, on the coaches hiring forum …

” Colorado: Keep in mind that sources have informed me that Tim DeRuyter and

Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo do have interest in the Colorado head coaching job”

  144. al December 9, 2012 11:28 pm

so UAL flt was delayed to LAX causing us to miss our connecting flt to LAS. Frustrating because we could see our plane sitting, still attached to the jetway.

then the rud agent tells us next flt in 7 hours.

we complain to customer services and they hook us up with American air. flt leaves in two hours, no problem no worry bags to transferred. yah, right. we waited until 1:00 am for our bags. UAL forgot to transfer them.

ah, but in the end we get an upgrade to a $900/nt suite for a small fee.

oh, and we had a late eat at holstein’s shakes n buns. best burger in las vegas. tom would love this one.

  145. al December 9, 2012 11:34 pm

don’t forget we got that tight end in january.

obviously, we lack something with our lb’er core. need to get smarter and quicker. run defense was marginal thus the lb pickups. also, depth is an issure here.

we actually have a legit shot at getting that kalaepohaku oline man and a couple more local boys.

  146. It be really nice of you if you just take a few minutes and take a look around the website. I personally really enjoy this site since its so damn exciting. haha well thats all my biased opinion. However, trust me aye, Check out the Website you will NOT regret it.

  147. slenzi December 10, 2012 2:35 am

Wow, Alex Green, the beast of Green Bay, running through the Lions like they wuz New Mexico. For the record, Mantei Teo got robbed. I feel lots of Heisman voters will be disappointed they did not vote TEO after the bowl season. Manziel was entertaining and captured lightenin in a bottle one Saturday in Tuscaloosa. Based on all the reasons that he won, Colt Brennan should have won too.

  148. maddog50 December 10, 2012 3:01 am

Congrats to the rcruits/New “Warriors”…..got some speed, some stout, some quicks…..Go Warriors-

  149. wafan December 10, 2012 3:21 am

    Have a super Monday!

  150. Moocher December 10, 2012 4:19 am

I hope heisman people did not base their decision on manziel beating alabama….because if ND beats alabama and manti has a good game-it’s not like they can say-oh, try wait, i like give ’em to manti instead.

true, manti may have a bad game as well…who knows?

but maybe this is where the heisman should follow the weekend after the national championship game??? to be fair to all considered???

the way it is now, it’s sort of like naming a president before all the votes are counted…oh, we do that too huh?

  151. popusti December 10, 2012 5:05 am

Very good article! We will be linking to this great article on our site. Keep up the great writing.

  152. d1shima December 10, 2012 5:44 am

    Great Morning All!

Good to see that the staff is jumping on the recruiting trail hard in lieu of bowl game prep.

Hopefully, this will be an anomaly in years going forward…
