Today’s first day of UH’s fall semester meant the expansion of the Warriors’ roster. Please welcome:

> Wyatt Tucker, long-snapper, Chino Hill (Calif.) HS
> Evan Garner, linebacker, Mililani HS
> Payton Awaya, linebacker, Kalani HS

Also, quarterback Larry Tuileta has rejoined the Warriors after training with the national volleyball team.

    Great Evening All!

Very exciting meeting at the Willows today.

    Heard some good things…

    …they will be using an O-line 😆

Why does Tuileta even bother. Pretty obvious where his priority is.

  9. kalua pig August 20, 2018 6:13 pm

it’s getting so close to game time that i feel like setting myself on fire.

  10. Captain Ron August 20, 2018 10:57 pm

#8 rabbit ears – Rolo has said how good it is for the team to have Tuileta with them even if he doesn’t play. And, he is on a football scholarship.

  11. ai-eee-soos August 21, 2018 1:12 am

    per ST:

    Rolo confirmed that either

Cole or Chevan will start at Colo State.

hey ST i don’t blame you, that ball went right thru #24 hands… i woulda thought he was gonna catch that ball too!

    Kalani, wow.

I can only think of one Falcons player who made the UH roster.

    Erik Senter.

I went to school with a Nick Fineanganofo, who joined Dick Tomey in Arizona.

Kalani had A QB named Manzo who was featured as a college prospect in Street and Smith, but I think the talent, or lack of talent, that surrounded him sort of hurt his development.

Until the arrival of Cal Lee and the advent of DII football, those were the highlights of Kalani Falcons football.

Game notes up on Warrior website-no depth chart. A little gamesmanship? Of interest is Ilm Manning listed at 285-betting maybe a little more-GoWarriors!!!!

  15. CentralPa August 21, 2018 6:58 am

Ryan Fukunaga was a four year starter on OL back in th in the late 60s

  16. burro sabio August 21, 2018 8:01 am

#13 – Roy Gerela. But maybe you too young to remember him haha.

  17. suckkabooya August 21, 2018 9:13 am

Gerela. Cappie might have his Topp’s card next to his Lenn Sakata card. Go Falcons.

  18. Palolo2_LA August 21, 2018 9:30 am

    @ post 13
I played with Sione Tafuna. Played OT/DL at Kalani. Played C at UH during the Von Appens years.

There was a recent grad DL Vea whos playing D1 now.

The Warrior offensive line, at least projected starting line-up will come in at 6-4-305 lbs, per the program. CSU is about same with only one member having significant playing time. They will start 2 true freshman on D, one at NT and another a DB. If I read correctly one OL just earned a scholarship in spring. This being a conference game it is of the utmost importance. These two teams at this time have strong similarities regarding the starters-still sorting it out. Would like to believe that them being favored and the CU game looming in the background might offset some things for us-2018 version of Pride Rock has to show up big! GoWarriors!!!

  20. rabbit ears August 21, 2018 10:49 am

#10 Captain Ron. My point exactly. He is not even there. I’m sure he is a wonderful teammate when he is there. Still a wasted schoarship. Lots of hungry dudes on the team very deserving of a scholarship.

  21. Inyoface August 21, 2018 11:04 am

Might not have a game this weekend 🙁 If they don’t play they might have to reschedule the game during the bye weekend which mean no bye this season.

  22. islandman August 21, 2018 11:10 am

    20, ..Wby no game ?

  23. Captain ron August 21, 2018 11:11 am

@ #19 I suggest you trust the coach’s judgment, I do. They are much more knowledgable of the facts.

  24. islandman August 21, 2018 11:12 am

    21, Why no game ?
    20. He is here now.

  25. Inyoface August 21, 2018 11:41 am

    #24 Da hurricane

  26. azwarrior22 August 21, 2018 11:43 am

There is no hurricanes in Colorado.

When Kalani played in the ILH and before Kaiser was built, they had a lot of talent. Let’s not forget the Lee Brothers, or the Goeas family.

Four days baby! Four more days!!!

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  28. Inyoface August 21, 2018 11:47 am

Yeah but how would they take off, all planes will be grounded.

  29. NotNasti August 21, 2018 11:48 am

Inyoface, I think the team departs tomorrow.

  30. Da Punchbowl Kid August 21, 2018 11:51 am

A little rain from Lane would not be a pain! Prayers for all of us!
