Picture day, happy birthday to Burns, scrimmage info

The 2018 Rainbow Wahine volleyball team. / Photo by Cindy Luis

Seniors are pictured in front row.

We are also shooting for our preview magazine.

As mentioned in previous link it is Burns’ 21st birthday. Thanks mom for letting us know.

Team had a fun team-building Saturday on the West side. Closed practice and delivering season tickets to several houses out that way.
Food and beach time! Had Sunday off.

This Friday’s scrimmage is 3-5 p.m. in the arena. Open to public. No admission charge. Don’t know if there is a charge for parking since it’s a state holiday.

Robyn needs to smile more, lol. Just kidding!

Can’t miss this opportunity to see the Bows a week before they get the season going! I’m there!

    GO BOWS!

There’s a charisma with this year’s team. Coach Robyn is doing a great job.

Cindy: do you enjoy your job as a sports writer? Curious. For UH.

    3. Agree…when I look at that team picture I see a great balance between some very good attackers, good middles, a very good Libero and back-ups, 2 excellent setters, and a couple of great All-American coaches (Robyn and Angelica) I do anticipate the unexpected! This is a thriving team that has the word ” HUNGER” written on their hearts. Lets Go!!!

Did you receive any NCAA funds? Playoffs.

At-large bid is a sure thing at 2nd place or 1st. Big West.

    new thread up for Tuesday.
    5. she was listed as 5-7 on the Olympic team roster.
    6. I do enjoy it. Been doing it a long time. What I like is that every team is different. One of my favorite UH teams to cover was the 1992 baseball team that was one win away from the CWS.
    8. Not sure what you’re asking about NCAA funds.
If they finish second in Big West it is not a given that they’ll get an at-large.
If they win, it is an automatic bid.
Personally I can see them winning the Big West. Cal Poly has the Van Windens back but they are rebuilding around them.
