Cowell-Rosenmeier 13th at World University Beach

University of Hawaii men’s volleyball players Colton Cowell and Brett Rosenmeier finished 13th at the World University Beach Volleyball Championships in Munich, Germany, today.
Cowell-Rosenmeier, seeded 28th, upset No. 2 seed Mateusz Lysikowski and Mateusz Paszkowski of Poland, 21-18, 12-21, 15-12 in a match that lasted 43 minutes at the TUM courts at Olympic Park. Earlier Thursday, Cowell-Rosenmeir were swept by 17th-seeded Abramenka-Piatrus of Belarus 21-16, 22-20 in the quarterfinals of 9-16 classification then outlasted Chile’s Pablo Prieto Figueroa-Ignacio Zaval Vuletich, the No. 15 seed, 15-21, 21-18, 22-20 in the 9-16 loser semifinals.
The Rainbow Warrior pair went 4-3 in the four-day event.

    Good experience for the boys!! Nice job representing HAWAII.

    How’s the indoor roster looking ? Not much fire power coming in…. I fear, we could be in for a rough ride

    3. no surprises on the roster yet. mentioned Gaskin, Liva and Akiu earlier as one-and-done seniors
    One never knows about late additions.
