    10. Yes, I agree with you but for next year. I’d like Hawaii to host Cal Poly on senior night in 2018. I’d love to attend in person then. Adlee van Winden will be a senior then, making her last trip to Hawaii. Then both of her parents would attend. I haven’t seen them since they graduated from Cal Poly back in 1985. This year, Kelly Strand van Winden was unable to travel due to coaching responsibilities in high school. Next year, if the match happens in November, she’ll be able to travel since high school volleyball season will be over. UH should be better next year as Cal Poly graduates three star seniors that will be hard to replace.

  19. Warriorfan November 4, 2017 8:26 pm

I really hope UH makes it as an at large
This team is bound to finally beat a ranked team in 5 (hopefully in the second round)

  20. ignaciosaid November 4, 2017 8:28 pm

someone should suggest that the WAHINE have SENIOR NIGHT , every night , next season , if they will play like this! The girls are having FUN — TONIGHT!!!!

  21. HawaiiMongoose November 4, 2017 8:33 pm

  22. z November 4, 2017 8:36 pm

  23. Cindy Luis November 4, 2017 8:43 pm

Awesome ending with Guinasso getting a kill,in the front row, Greeley one out of hte back row.
    UH wins 25-10.

  24. H-Man November 4, 2017 9:10 pm

Gotta bring in the parents for key matches. They played lights-out in front of mom and dad.

  25. warriorwahine November 4, 2017 9:42 pm

nice segment they did on the commanding libero savannah kahakai now that i saw the game on

  26. Kaimukian November 4, 2017 11:43 pm

Congrats to the seniors this year, really solid match tonight! The energy was great and man I wish this was the team that showed up against Cal Poly. Gotta feel good about the senior DS’s getting some time in the front row xD. I really hope some high level recruits were able to tune in tonight! Also, this performance from Mags is sure to put her season average over .400, right?

    Way to handle biz ‘Bows!

  27. tongo November 5, 2017 4:02 pm

Wonderful senior night – such great young ladies who have and are going to achieve much in life. Everything came together last night for the team and a lot of credit got to go to the staf. It was clearly a labor of love – thank you coaches and staff.

Very nice touch for UH to learn and play the Canadian anthem. LOL – but band should perhaps have practice a little more. I am sure Emily’s family appreciate the gesture and effort. Just kidding.

Who would have thought that Mags would become such a dominant terminating force in the middle. Thank you Scott.

#13 If Robyn let the Aunties call it, IMO getting a bit silly. I sit in the ‘end zone’ 1st row of upper and I could tell it was AT LEAST 4 inches out. Couldn’t be used as a de facto time out as the team was way ahead.

  31. Robin November 6, 2017 8:39 am

#30 OK, I just looked at the replay…closer than I thought- I’d estimate 2 inches out.

  32. al November 6, 2017 9:10 am

Nice touch by Robyn having the seniors all in at the end. Putting Baby G and Claire Marie in the front row and giving them a swing or two was a class act in my book. It just shows how much she cares for her girls and this program.

    Coach Longy would be proud.

  33. al November 6, 2017 9:12 am

    What’s the word on recruiting?

Also, not being in the loop…what happened to Lipscomb?
I knew injuries at first, but, what transpired that caused her to pack it up?

new thread up for Monday. Still 49 in RPI

had no problem with her looking to the aunties. They had a better angle

they didn’t have all 6 seniors in. they tried but no way to do it with Kahakai still in libero jersey. can’t change that during the set. Only way to sub her was to do so for Burns but Burns was in front row so libero couldn’t go there.

mentioned recruiting earlier. NLI is Wednesday.
only one at the moment for a scholarship will be Castenda. but they may not announce ion Wednesday. they’d rather do it as a group and not trickle it out.
the 1 for beach is Kylin Loker (5’11”) Carlsbad High
Wade will have a couple for indoor

Lipscomb. left team. injured. still in school. may play beach.
