BYU rallies to win Set 1 25-21. Baylor led 18-14.

Baylor hangs until the end of Set 2. Tied at 22-22, BYU scores final 3 points. if Jones-Perry isn’t the tournament MOP something is very wrong with the voting.

  3. Hapaguy September 9, 2017 4:03 pm

If Jones-Perry can get into positive hitting number for the rest of this match. Jones-Perry is hitting negative this match. Miller has been more steady carrying the team in this match and through the tournament. She’s had positive hitting numbers in every match she’s played in this tournament.

MOP is based on entire tournament. Been impressed until the latter part of today’s match. Think she’s taken a lot of swings.
Anyway, Baylor wins Set 3 25-18.
BYU switched to Robins-Hardy down 13-7 in Set 3

Some great defense on both sides
Baylor holds off one set point, needs three chances to force Set 5. Bears win 28-26.

  7. Maverick September 9, 2017 5:10 pm

Cindy, IYO, is BYU overrated a little, or is Baylor underrated a bit, or a little of both?

  8. ballerz September 9, 2017 5:12 pm

lets go bears! 8-6, gm 5

  9. Cindy Luis September 9, 2017 5:20 pm

    Baylor takes Set 5 15-10
    7. thought BYU a bit overrated. UH could have beaten them.
impressed that Baylor came back after losing in 5 to UH.

  10. Hapaguy September 9, 2017 5:22 pm

    4. I understand it’s based on performance the entire tournament. If you read my comment I did say that Miller has been more steady this entire “tournament”.
    Miller’s Tournament stats: 54k 13e 130a .315
    Jones-Perry Tourney stats: 53k 20e 150a .220
If BYU is tourney champ and MOP goes to player on tourney champ team Miller should get MOP based on stats….IMHO…..

  11. Maverick September 9, 2017 5:23 pm

Baylor should get points after this weekend. I wonder, who wins the tourney if UH beats NV? BYU, UH and Baylor would all be 2-1, and Nevada 0-3.

    new thread up
    where I explain the tie-breaker
Hawaii needs to sweep Nevada and allow fewer than 58 points. which is what the Pack scored when being swept by the Cougars.
    At least that’s my understanding
