St. Johns sweeps Creighton! They get to play #12 Marquette tomorrow for the Big East Championship.

Wisconsin vs Penn State: Set 4 PS 25 UW 22. 5th set tie-breaker.

    Penn St wins in 5.

Wahine beat St. John’s earlier this year. Their win vs Creighton has got to help the Wahine’s RPI

The UCLA vs USC game is still onging. The stat tracker was broken with the wrong info before.

    6. thanks. I’m using the scores from RichKern
Gametracker has UCLA up 25-22, 25-17

IMHO, Creighton being knocked out of Big East final may have given Penn State a subregional and knocked Creighton out of hosting.
Also, Wisconsin losing likely drops them to 5 in the RPI.
Will the committee give top 4 seeds to both Baylor and Texas? The others going to Stanford and Pitt?

St. Johns winning the BEC tomorrow and therefore getting the AQ means one bubble team will be left out of NCAAs. Thank goodness the Wahine are not a bubble team again this year. RPI will at least help Hawaii remain in the Top 16 in RPI. But what I think Hawaii really needs to hope for tonight is UCLA to pull off the win at USC.

    UCLA swept SC
I don’t know if Hawaii needed that but it doesn’t hurt. St. John’s winning helps. Hawaii has been holding steady at 11 all week.
As for the Wahine being a bubble team the last few years, it didn’t feel like they were. they just didn’t have the AQ. a little less stressful this year.

Cindy, was just thinking about Hawaii’s RPI staying steady in the 11-16 range, and although St. John’s winning helps, UCLA playing away and winning at USC who has been solid this year, would possibly help just as much or even more than St Johns since the “away” wins seem to advantage a team more than with “home” wins in the RPI game. But anyhow would love to see the Wahine put the committee in a place to where they can’t help but award a home subregions to them. Staying at a solid 11-13 in the RPI ranking will certainly do that IMO.

Can I just also add that I hope Missouri does not get upset tomorrow. Not sure if their winning helps, but them losing will NOT help at all.

    Top 16
    1 Baylor. 2. Texas. 3. Stanford. 4. Pitt. 5. Wisconsin. 6. Kentucky. 7. Nebraska. 8. Washington. 9. Florida. 10 Minnesota. 11 Hawaii. 12. Marquette. 13. Texas A&M. 14 Penn State. 15. Rice. 16. Western Kentucky.
It will be interesting to see what committee does with Rice & Western Kentucky since Western Kentucky is the AQ after winning the C-USA tournament, as well as the regular-season title. Rice finished second in the tournament and regular season.

I’m really excited for Sunday to come! I really wanna know how Na Wahine will be handled by the committee. I’m hoping St. John’s will win, but that may knock out UCSB from going to the tourney.

Bruins look really good against the Trojans – very improved across the board.

    14. More like Cal Poly. I just checked out that Figstats link for the updated rankings and the Gauchos are in a really good position to make the Tourney; based on their current ranking they look more than safe.

Cal Poly on the other hand can’t afford to fall too much. If they happen to fall just a few places into the 40s things could look tight. But that’s if something freaky happens. Remember the committee doesn’t ONLY use the RPI when making selections.

I think if Utah can win tomorrow that would be good for Cal Poly in the RPI.
