Cindy Luis covers University of Hawaii volleyball for the Star-Advertiser. She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.

The MPSF comes through again, both with sweeps UC Irvine defeats Loyola-Chicago 26-24, 25-19, 29-27 BYU defeats Penn State 25-21, 25-16, 25-22 sorry didn’t watch any of it. camped out at McKinley Saturday’s final should be interesting.

When there is something to report, it will be reported. Croson’s issue is between her and the coaches. Have been saying this for several weeks. Her decision to stay or go.

Some of you have said you don’t care but if you do, Today’s final on BYU=TV at 3 p.m. HST: Hawaii stations 409 Oceanic, 374 Direct TV I will be out at OIA water polo so will try to catch up when I get back At-large to be announced tomorrow. If BYU loses, they are sure to get it. I do feel that The Beach has the inside track over UC Irvine by virute of getting to the title game. […]

sorry, out at OIA boys tournament. Kaiser rallies past previously undefeated Kalaheo in 5. had a quick chat with Cougar coach Jon Stanley, Clay’s dad. Hadn’t seen him in a while. anyway, in Provo…. No. 1 BYU def. No. 4 UCLA 23-25, 21-25, 25-18, 26-24, 15-10 No. 3 Long Beach State def. UC Irvine 25-22, 22-25, 20-25, 25-14, 22-20 I think that the 49ers will get the at-large if they don’t beat BYU in the final Saturday.

Wahine home schedule update

Had earlier posted this with some comments about the Big West schedule being Fri-Sat and how unfair it was to Hawaii that the Wahine would play back-to-back and the opponent’s only match of the week would be Hawaii. And figured that it would be retweaked to the traditional Thur-Sat or Fri-Sun. Apparently not.
