Cindy Luis covers University of Hawaii volleyball for the Star-Advertiser. She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.
Starting a new thread since discussion began on the previous one. It should be interesting to see the matchups, and should become obvious early if Hawaii can counter Texas with some speed on offense, strong passing and serving. But, as they say, it’s why they play the game. And, no, don’t know how many tickets are left. Waiting on an answer

Lost on some other threads. Now open for this discussion. UH has led the nation in attendance since the Special Events Arena/Sheriff Center opened in mid 1994. With the opening of the Nebraska’s expanded Devaney Center for volleyball, Nebraska has sold over 7,000 seaxon tickets.
