Running back Melvin Davis is awaiting medical clearance and a waiver that will allow him to play this season as a sixth-year senior.
Davis has missed most of the past two seasons because of illness and a knee injury.
The Warriors also are hopeful for a speedy recovery for running back Genta Ito, who underwent s knee procedure last week.
