Warriors go clubbing
It’s summer, and several Warriors hit the club. They had fun, made new friends, and stayed past 4.
It was the Boys & Girls Club, and the Warriors and about 100 youths played dodgeball, pool, basketball and foosball way past 4 in the afternoon.
Lance Williams, a UH linebacker and co-captain, is interning at the Charles C. Spaulding Clubhouse as part of his family-resources studies. But for the Warriors, spending time with youths — playing games, giving advice — was part of the paying-it-forward cycle. Outside linebacker Makani Kema-Kaleiwahea used to participate in B&G activities in ‘Ewa. Offensive guard Leo Koloamatangi was involved in a similarly themed program in California.
One thing was apparent: The players had as much fun as the B&G kids.
Guud Morning Tsaikos…bootiful day.
Great game for Kolten and Greg yesterday.
Good to see the Warriors making a difference.
btw…Mahalo for the pics.
It’s rained in my neighborhood every day — well, except for my daughter’s wedding day — for about two months straight. But we can’t complain because most of the state is enduring drought-like conditions. Gotta count our blessings.
Better than living in California. Less earthquakes
than Oklahoma, too. Staycation is best. Avoid Tunisia…
We had some visitors from Redding.
One of them actually touched somebody’s lawn because he couldn’t believe the green grass was real.
Nice pics. Much thanks ST for your effort in taking these and posting. Leo looks game ready and huge. Penitito too. Nice to see Paul Harris really getting involved with the players so quickly. Real team player kind of guy. And cannot forget Lance, a team leader and captain.
Congratulations on your daughter’s wedding.
Hope you still have some change in your pocket for some beers and poke.

Islandman, you’re a very active blogger (different sites too) and reader who comes up with many, many articles to read. Thanks.
Congrats to Don Weir. Need people like him to keep the fire going. Many people have the want but not the do (including myself) like Don. I guess that’s why he’s successful in all phases of his life.
Too bad David Fangupo going to Utah. Another whiff
Farrington’s Manly Williams has grown into a linebacker, if the summer roster is accurate in listing him at 6. 3 220 lbs (still room to get bigger). Same with Mililani’s Dayton Furuta, now at 230 lbs. Both were greyshirts in 2014.
WINNAHS!!!!!!!!!!
Man it was hot today. Spent all morning brewing our summer ale. Should be ready before football season…Cheeeee!
Hey ST, congrats on your daughters wedding. Will be joining the club in giving away my #1 next month too.
