Nick Rolovich is inviting UH fans/kids to hunt Pokemon on the Manoa campus. It will be safe (Warriors will provide protection) and fun. It also will give kids a chance to be on a college campus.

The event will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, July 16) at UH’s Ching field.

No promises, but there might be some free youth-sized shirts to be captured …

This is what I love about Rolo. He is in tune with the vibe of what is going on around him and quickly incorporates it into community engagement. Personally Pokemon doesn’t do much for me. But there will be a ton of kids (who are the next generation of Warrior fans) who will associate Warrior football with fun. This is brilliant marketing IMHO.

#7 there’s a limit on the number of players in fall camp. Those guys might not show up on the roster until camp starts or the school year starts. They might also be grayshirts … or might not have been admitted to UH. Lots of possibilities, but like you, I hope they show up.
