UH awaits project’s opening
If everything goes according to plan, the renovated athletic-training facility will be fully operational by Aug. 1.
That will be just in time for the opening of the Warriors’ training camp on Aug. 4. It also will provide relief for achy players. The facility’s iced-water tubs are not yet available to players participating in the offseason conditioning program.
UH is awaiting final inspection from the vendors. When approval is finalized, UH will accept the project.

Lunch owa.
Great Pics.
We’ll be waiting near the tv or pc in the fall. Eric Hannum is 6-2 ft. Former uh place kicker. Taller than expected. Surprised?
Linebackers galore!
Instead of the ice water tubs they need that liquid filled tub that they used in the movie “Wanted”. Or maybe a hyperbaric chamber.
I am not very good with the English language, but I try the best I can.
What’s a noun or pronoun or adjective or conjunction? who cares? get my message? this is the only thing that counts!!!!!!!!
New post was up 11:47 am, but papajoe2 beat it at 11:39 am .
I love our linebacker group. The more I see of Faalologo the better he looks. He’s just a huge mass that will be hard to move in the middle. He may not get many tackles or sacks but he’ll be tough to move with his low center of gravity.
Regents keep committee to oversee UH athletics
By Ferd Lewis
POSTED: 11:45 a.m. HST, Jul 16, 2015
The University of Hawaii Board of Regents will retain its Committee on Intercollegiate Athletics, the board said Thursday.
The Board had been scheduled to vote on a proposal to “reclassify” or downgrade the two-year old panel to a “task group” according to the posted agenda.
Instead, Regent Jan Sullivan proposed deleting any change in the committee’s status. Sullivan told Regents it was “premature to convert this committee to a task group.” She said she became convinced, “there are important unresolved issues” still to be dealt with regarding athletics.
The board established the committee in 2013 in the wake of the so-called “Wonder Blunder.” It is charged with oversight of the athletic programs on the Manoa and Hilo campuses.
Does anyone know if Norm Chow has anything else? sports showing for high school athletes, guest appearances for the program, UH presses, and other outings? Do you know it is the community of the football club that has accepted him. So in a Nutshell, UH Manoa fans and anyone else buying tickets or sending their kids to play sports for UH are the make up of the athletics at UH. Another projected year in the red ink? Not coming out of our pockets. They’ll need to keep coming up with new fans and supporters every year. Think about who makes up the core of support.
Football, football, football… Waiting… Waiting… Waiting… Go Rainbow Warriors!!
I doubt Eric Hannum is a day job. midweek newspaper. Research is a day job. It’s a job, so someone is doing it. What’s the pay? See the photos on midweek newspaper, does it increase profits? Only day job sees this profit. UH athletics are night people. See the point in economics?
ST, nice pics. Is Makani Kema-Kaleaiwahea cleared to play?
#5, A-House, what’s your comment referring to? Didn’t quite understand it.
They need to make sure that the patients take their meds.

ST:

what bout the Colorado St transfer?
does McKenzie out of Mililani have another year to go before joining the team?
guess the lure of the PAC 12 is making an impression on Lavaka!
ST, you using a new gizmo camera?
A tablet?
Great pics.
Great photographer.
🙂
islandman #6~ I was very fast. Reminds me of the joke about who’s father was faster. The 3rd boy’s father was so fast that he pau work at 4 but he was home at 2. 🙂
A-House~ MacKenzie is now a senior at Mililani High.
Mckenzie Milton may be too small for UH football QB. Slotback is open.
17. papajoe2; that’s called uku pau.
I think the players are afraid to fly. This fall will be a duzzy,! Stormy seasons are coming in the fall. Even more so on the news and weather reports.
Tiki,
May I ask: what is your first language?
Once again great pictures. Regarding the info on Lavaka, would like to believe he will keep his commitment. Would like to believe the statement regarding is wavering is just false misinformation. Would also like to believe that if true, turn back the clock….according to the sources available he had very few offers. We made a commitment. Hope he honors it in keeping with the values I am sure are part of his make up! So Gus Lavaka looking forward to seeing you soon— Go Warriors!
I like the shape Pedroza is in…he will be a crucial player this year.
Good morning! Do watch Living808?
24. “you”
I think a lot of locals know her, Trini Koapuiki. That’s the fan base. Cooking?
26. Not with Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel. hehe…!
Trini knows how to convert inches to centimeters. :p
appears that Coach Beeman lost out on the Molina sisters out of Kona – oldest just committed to Washington State and State also offered scholarship to younger sisters
makes one wonder how much influence by the coach?
Lavaka:
if very little interest 2 years ago by D1 schools, why sudden interest by Oregon State?
Regarding Gus Levaka: No doubt that it’s OSU’s Gary Andersen and Kalani Sitake at work. They knew of him when he was in high school. Still hoping that Gus will become a Warrior.
