Tuesday in Manoa

It rained. It was early. It didn’t matter.

After an intensive weight-lifting session, the Warriors ran 14 120-yard sprints.

Nobody complained. Nobody barfed.

Training camp opens in 45 days.

  4. H-man June 23, 2015 11:38 am

Wow, great photos. Players look ready. They must be in great shape to run 14, 120-yd sprints in this heat. Go Warriors !!!

  5. Da Punchbowl Kid June 23, 2015 11:52 am

    Nobody barfed – dats good.

These are some fine and fit Warriors – ready for battle and lookin’ like rock stars.

Keelan Ewaliko need a Hollywood agent. Doesn’t he look like a Marvel Super hero or something?

  6. Inyoface. June 23, 2015 11:53 am

Can’t wait to see the offense in action this year. Seems like we’re loaded at the receiver positions, as well as, veteran players.

  7. jeezy33 June 23, 2015 11:58 am

Hope the coaches are studying Dri Archer film and use Harris accordingly

  8. SteveM June 23, 2015 12:56 pm

    Nice photos, ST!

Always heartening to see the dedication of the athletes!

  9. nutmegger June 23, 2015 1:40 pm

  10. BigFan June 23, 2015 2:38 pm

Archer ran a 4.26 at the combine!! That’s moving.

  11. Stephen Tsai June 23, 2015 2:46 pm

I guess the East Coast-West Coast rivalry ended if Diddy’s son attends UCLA.

  12. Old School Dave June 23, 2015 3:04 pm

I feel bad for Combs’ son after his dad got into it with the UCLA coach. That can be an awkward situation for the son to be in.

Speaking of sons of celebrities, didn’t Antonio Fargas’ (Huggy Bear from “Baretta” fame) son, Justin play at USC? Later, he played in the NFL, I think.

  16. tom-warriornation June 23, 2015 4:42 pm

Who do you think will be the impact players of our team? Here are my choices to name a few:

    Harris & Ewaliko as returners
Collie, Kemp & Stubblefield as WR’s
    St. Juste as RB
    Hagger as TE
of course–QB Wittek or Woolsey or Zwhalen(x-factor?)

Can someone add the Defensive players and OL?

Season sneaking up on us. Get Excited People! Go Bows!

    Great Afternoon All!

Hoos gonna win today’s CWS game?

  19. Stephen Tsai June 23, 2015 5:22 pm

    It was really warm today.
I think they should redo the seasons.
    Summer — June-September
    Autumn — October-November
    Winter — December-March
    Spring — April-May

By the way, folks, check out the Farmer’s Market every Monday (4 p.m.-8 p.m.) at Olomana Links.
There are food trucks, alcohol, and a 1970s cover band.
    Did I mention alcohol?
Also, there’s an amazing crab chowder (with Kahuku corn).

Like the past 4 years; I am doing group tickets for Hawaii fans for Ohio St. and all road games—if anyone wants to sit with other Hawaii fans; email me at: tomkitaguchi@yahoo.com. For Ohio St., I need to know by July 8.

Last year, I had a group of almost 350 Hawaii fans at SDSU & SJSU; and almost 300 at UNLV 2 years ago.

  23. Akamai Okole June 23, 2015 6:14 pm

    Mahalo tom!

  24. Ipu Man June 23, 2015 6:34 pm

    Study hard.
    Play hard.
    Eat hard.
    Sleep hard.

  25. 3-Prong June 23, 2015 7:57 pm

….did you say alcohol ST?? Hmmmm.

  26. H-man June 23, 2015 8:31 pm

Okay Tom, I’ll take a crack at my nominations. Defense – Penitito Faalologo, Kennedy Tulimasealii. Luke Shawley on the D-Line. The entire line backing group and the entire secondary. They are good two-deep. But we’ll see how they perform against Ohio State’s J. T. Barrett and Ezekiel Elliott. Slowing Ezekiel is a huge task. I realize some people are predicting a 70-0 score. Maybe. Ohio State’s defense is awesome.

  27. BigFan June 23, 2015 9:11 pm

NSF, you gotta try the shave ice out by Fumi’s shrimp truck. Little pricier; about $3 for plain and $1 more for premium ice cream. Little longer drive for you but enjoy the scenery and no long lines like Matsumoto’s. I think it taste better although nice to help the Matsumoto’s business. He’s probably a millionaire already so he can probably afford it :).

  28. BigFan June 23, 2015 9:13 pm

Btw, I think Aoki’s re-opening their shave ice business next month. Across the street from Matsumoto’s.

  29. NorthShoreFan June 23, 2015 10:52 pm

BigFan…Aoki’s opening again?…Dang it, Mike neva tell me about it. I know he been trying to get it going but permitting regulations was one big pain in the okole. Hope he got through it.
Aoki’s got the guud kine syrup from back in the day. Stanley can retire but Matsumoto’s is the place where everyone hears of and goes to so gotta keep um going. I think everybody go Haleiwa way to stop by Matsumoto’s and Paala kai Bakery in Waialua, home of the Snow Puffies and now the cinnamon almond fingers….hoo getting hungry now.

  30. kapakahi June 23, 2015 11:55 pm

Former ’13 Kamehameha-Kapalama QB Cid Makoa Camanse-Stevens possible walk-on for UH at WR???

  31. Old School Dave June 24, 2015 8:07 am

Shimazu Store on School Street (right off H-1 going West) has good and big shave ice. Gotta get the “Larry.” Only thing is you gotta follow the owner’s way of ordering (on the wall). If you all hamajag kine when ordering, he going get huhu.
