Tommy Lee to retire
Tommy Lee is expected to announce his retirement today as the Warriors’ offensive coordinator and receivers coach.
Lee is a good coach and a good guy.
He was coaxed out of retirement last year to be on Norm Chow’s first UH coaching staff.
Lee’s retirement is part of a wish to spend more time with family on the mainland. He has a son living in Utah and a daughter in the Bay Area. Lee and his wife still own a house in Dillon, Mont.
We wish him the best.

Happy Post Merry Christmas and thank you Coach Lee.
aloha and mahalo coach lee.
al, know your Christmas dinnah was suppah, but did you leave enough for Santa??
Top ten, baby! Warrior fan for life!
Good Luck Tommy Lee!
Will Coach Chow hire a new OC or will he just hire a WR coach?
Any word on Daronte Jones staying or leaving?
Enjoy retirement and good luck. Thank you for your service to Warrior football.
Good morning, Tsaikos!
Mahalo to Coach Lee. Enjoy your 2nd retirement.
Hi Ho…
IF we’re smart & lucky get back Rolo…
(UPPER HALF RESULTS)
DEFINITION of Best Coach: Beat You with his, then take yours & beat his with yours…
Good Morning Folks!
Hope all enjoyed their Christmas!
Best wishes to Coach Lee for a happy retirement!
Have a great day everyone! Hi ho!…
Good morning!
GOOD MORNING HAWAII!
Best wishes to Coach Lee.
On to the Mall?
ST & Tsaiko Blog Dogs:
Hope everyone’s Christmas was merry and bright. Another recruitment action for the team…hopefully, it will result in a “good guy/gal”. You never know these days when a woman might be on a men coaching staff.
Mahalo Coach Lee for your contribution, blessings to you and your ohana 🙂
Good morning to the early riser Tsaikos and those that are still in a turkey filled slumber. We hope that yesterday was joyful and filled with good times and not only tons of food.
Looking at the weather in the mainland convinces me even more, “Hawaii No Ka Oi”.
Make memories, make memories, make memories…..always 🙂
My best to coach Lee.
Good Morning Gangeez!
A big Mahalo and Best Wishes to Coach Lee!
Aloha coach Lee: Even in retirement, I know you will forever be a Warrior mentor for life!
BBL ~ I have to work on compliance. I’ve been warned twice already to share my toys and it’s not even 07:30 yet!
Retirement is wonderful. There are lots of things to do. It’s the autumn and winter of our lives. Enjoy it. Good luck Coach Lee. Watching Football is great too.
I had the honor of meeting and talking story with Coach Lee, and yes, he is definitely a good man with tons of Aloha spirit.
Good luck coach Lee, Mahalo, and ALOOOOOOHA!!
Mahalo coach Lee. Enjoy your retirement and your family.
Now coach Chow get coach Rolo back!!!!!!!
A great young coach who u can mold and always willing to learn.
Great Morning All! A Merry 2nd Day of Christmas….
#7…WarriorNY
Huh? Coach Jones leaving???
let the speculation begin on who will replace Coach Lee!!!!!!!!
Mahalo and Aloha to Coach Tommy.
That house in Dillon served as a home away from home for countless Hawaii athletes during his tenure as HC at Montana-Western.
On to New Years prep work…..
Have a terrific day erryboddy!
Belated Seasons Greetings for the Holiday Season, and Best Wishes for the Coming New Year!
We had a few hours of rain early Christmas Day, and about 1-2 inches of snow from 1pm-5pm later on. There was slipping and sliding from then on – Texas has a lot of elevated cloverleafs and bridges – many of them could not be traversed because of the slope and ice. However the Texas Highway people were out in force with their trucks loaded with salt and sand so that helped travel by car.
Today, Wednesday, the temperature is about 29, the last time I looked but the sun is nice and bright. Lovely day, but cannot beat Hawaii and the beach.
Hawaii no ka oi!
Love to all,
Barbara and Midnight
You guys think Rolo would come back? He seems quite happy where he’s at.
Besides he already put an “X” of Rolo Candies on the H.
#25,
I remember ST saying something a few weeks ago about the possibility of Coach Jones leaving. And that he was “held in high regards” within the coaching fraternity… I didn’t hear anything after that…
Mahalo to Tommy!
Now that Tommy’s re-retirement is official, I’m hoping that Coach can find a way to officially place former Warrior great (and 8-year NFL vet) Ashley Lelie on the staff as the WR coach…..to expand on what’s he’s already doing with the Warrior receivers…..currently as an intern.
Ashley would be great asset for recruiting…..both locally and on mainland…..as a former local HS product and walk-on….who earned a full scholie as a starter….and became the go-to star receiver…..who then got picked in the 1st Round of the NFL Draft (19th overall selection)….and played 8 full seasons in the NFL…..with the experience and knowledge of multiple offensive sets…..having played in Norm’s Pro Set offense…..as well as JJ’s R&S offense. Ashley was already in the booth on game days assisting Tommy last season.
#32…
Thanks for ‘da scoops…
Hopefully Coach can find a way to get some of these Kahuku athletes (CB/P Jayven Mohetau, RB/S Devailo Motuga-Galeai, LB Matai Paselio, WR/CB/S Lasselle Thompson) to somehow join the UH program……possibly as greyshirts or invited walk-ons.
whitey…wow. we thought santa went moe moe for the day so, we ate his share.
i have to believe that chow has someone lined up to assume the position.
Good morning Tsaikos!
Best wishes to Coach Tommy Lee on his 2nd retirement.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas! On to the new year.
Good morning Tsaikos!!!
Hope all have a good one today!!!
Best wishes to Coach Lee.
Ho, good to have blog back…..small kine withdrawals! Hehe
😎 nice day with sun spreading its warmth. was it just me or was it cold last night?

may yu’all recover from feast #1 and make ready for #2 in a couple of day. 🙄 BEEG reminder stay safe at all times. like see you face in 2013
Is Chow going to hire another OC? or put Wynn in the box
Happy Holidays to all. Hope you are working off or recovering all of the goodies consumed yesterday :-).
Unconfirmed reports coming out that new Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre will not be retaining any of the 12 assistant coaches from Jon Embree’s staff. That group also includes linebackers coach Brian Cabral, who has served for some 20 something years at CU under 5 different HCs. Given the nature of college coaching, all good things eventually come to an end.

Based on interest last year, Daronte’ Jones would be the likeliest coach to be approached. Don’t know if he’s had any offers. But he did a good job last year, and he’s been pretty effective as a recruiter this year.
Chow, in essence, is the OC.
He can offer the title as a pay incentive.
mckerjwhxhjf online casino ,

afkdfm nxc kasyno online kmjqrjdfg.
Decisions, decisions:
what position(s) to advertise? OC? Receivers coach?
It would be extrodinary, but what if Chow goes back upstairs and call all the Offensive plays and has multiple lines to all the coaches so he can tell them what he sees; especially the defense. The US military, especially the Army and Marines, wherein the “Commander” is in a strategic spot to see the “battle field” and relays instructions to his “line commanders” and what to do. Yea, yea, I know it sounds like my suggestion where the OL “attacks” the DL rather than back pedalling on pass plays – but, what the hay, why not????
What is it about HC and/or OC at all levels that like to call consecutive running plays up the middle when inside the 5 yard line for a TD? must it be smash-mouth ball? America is known for “bigger is better” syndrome.
Until, international car companies began the initial push for “smaller vehicles” – then USA jumped on the wagon.
I will immediately clutch your rss feed as I can not in finding your e-mail subscription link or e-newsletter service. Do you’ve any? Please let me know in order that I may just subscribe. Thanks.
ST… You’re 100% correct.
Much like Rolovich at Reno. He’s OC in title but Chris Ault runs the offense. Doubtful Ault would let Rolo tweak his pistol offense after seeing Rolo tweak the run n shoot into mediocrity.
On a side note, did anybody notice June Jones completely out coach and out-plan Deruyter during the Hawaii Bowl?? SMU got two late defensive TDs to blow the game open but JJ mixed up his play calling to score on Fresno.
Who knew a June Jones offense could produce a 4,000+yd running back (w/ 3 straight 1,200+yd seasons)??? Zach Line also tied Eric Dickerson’s career rush TD total. Wow. Great coaches always adjust their scheme for their personnel.
Again, SMU (like Auburn v Oregon; Georgia v UH) proves that the key to shutting down the spread offense is the d-line.
Nick Fairly of Auburn broke down Oregon in the BCS game in 2010… Georgia’s DEs dominated Brennan &co in Sugar Bowl… Margus Hunt single handily broke down Fresno… Stanford shut down Oregon this year with their D-line.
Aloha Coach Tommy Lee!
tommui and everyone I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Planes late in and out of LA. Lucky we landed in Hawaii for Christmas. But it was a great day on the Big Island. Heading over next week to go see the dorm redecorating ( I can only imagine ) visit the Coach, of course we need new clothes for school. And of course the big celebration for getting 4.0 GPA this semester. Life is pretty good. And our other boy proposed on Christmas Eve…so now we have a wedding to look forward to. Life is good.
Sorry to see Coach Lee go. But family is so important. Hard when kids are across the country.
GO WARRIORS!

Daronte Jones is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. A predominately African-American Fraternity that has many famous athletes players amongst their membership rolls, including the likes of Ray Lewis, Steve McNair (dec), as well as Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal .
If he leaves, hire another member of Omega Psi Phi, and you will continue to get your Florida and Texas recruits. The football world is very familiar with Omega Psi Phi. Pros and college.
The Omega connections within the coaching fraternity are even tighter than you could imagine.

@Former UH Athlete
I thought I read that Coach Rolo was/is handcuffed at UH and UNR. What tweaks did he do at UH to make them mediocre? Please refresh my memory and re-enlighten me since I have difficulty recalling events nowadays.
@52 Jimmy the lock
That’s what I thought also……..
Good morning everyone!
Mahalo and best wished for Coach Tommy Lee!
Ahhhh, the world is looking better today with the Warrior Beat back on! 😀
“Much like Rolovich at Reno. He’s OC in title but Chris Ault runs the offense. Doubtful Ault would let Rolo tweak his pistol offense after seeing Rolo tweak the run n shoot into mediocrity.”
Yeah, Chris Ault thought so little of Rolo that he hired him ….. great logic there … why do you think he brought Rolo in ? The word here is “Think” ….. sheeeeesh
The weather is great and so is life in the aina. So many things to look forward to in 2013!
BG
Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to Tommy! Time to take care of the other priorities.
Mahalo, Coach Lee.
Happy Kwanzaa… !
Hiho!
You are in point of fact a just right webmaster. The site loading pace is incredible. It seems that you are doing any distinctive trick. Also, The contents are masterpiece. you’ve done a excellent activity in this topic!
so how many of you kept coming back to the warrior beat these past 36 hours
…just to see if a big time commit would be announced?
should be another quiet week in recruiting although we did lose out on a few good ones this past week.
Thank you Coach Lee.
@al
I’m not that anxious since all recruits who choose to become Warriors are big time commits in my book.
Also, congrats to our local All-State high school football players.
(#46 Former UH Athlete)
Normally I appreciate and enjoy your postings, however, this morning, well you showed something.
For this instance, you are clueless, almost to the point of ignorant regarding Nick Rolovich.
Running the R-N-S to mediocrity?
Wow, what a joke.
Check the numbers my friend, do a little homework, and that’s despite a head coach that was more in the way than part of the solution.
C’mon brother, you’re much better than that. I know it, I’ve seen it, I’ve read it before.
Wellcome!
1) Thank you for you strong work.

RE: #50 & #65 SPAM
😯 wow, the SPAM is getting sophisticated…
Agree with # 46. JJ is an unbelievable coach, a real genius. He out coached DeRuyter. We need him back at Hawaii.
#51 re the fraternity. You are right. My son’s friend is in the fraternity and he had to go through really rigorous initiation for one year to see if he was serious. He is not an athlete, but he stuck it out, proved himself and became a member. Most people drop out. Once you are in, you are a brother for life and the members help each other get jobs, pull strings, etc. When you are in a city, you call up the brother who is in that city and he will help you. It is a real brotherhood, unlike any fraternity that I know of.
Looks like the already graduated 6′ 5″ DL from American Samoa is holding out for a offer from Oregon?
True or False?
Al,
Any chance that Hawaii can land a few more good ones? What you think?
Any news on the “coconut wireless” on decisions by the Kahuku players who were “leaning UH way”?
The State Central committee met and decided on 3 candidates.
Congratulations to all those who applied. It was a really tough decision for us but it is finally done.
The Govenor is now the ball carrier.
Norm Chow should go get Rob Anae
And Simeon Thomas Safety from Florida has Hawaii as his favorite. He holds offers fro LSU,Florida,FSU,Rutgers,West Virginia,Clemson,USF
i like rolo. but i also know that
stutsman has been paying his dues on the mainland. i believe he is at memphis.
Craig Stutzmann, WAS at Memphis years ago.
Since then he was at Idaho St, Rhodes College, and is currently at Weber St
a house… that was a long time ago.
natty boy…it’s not over yet.
Bleed Green and White, last week you called me negative and not in the know when I said Ault is the reason behind Nevada’s offense, not Rolo.
Today you call Former Athlete clueless and his comments on Rolo ignorant?
I’m curious to your ties and inside knowledge to the Mack regime, especially your man love for Rolo.
thanks for the update bigwave 96744.
shoots, sorry bigwave. forgot to ask. is stutz OC at his current school?
Stutz I is the WR coach. He was never an OC anywhere and I think his only HC position was St Louis JV
Hello my friend! I want to say that this article is amazing, nice written and include almost all vital infos. I would like to see extra posts like this .
Jason Gesser for OC Recruiter with High
character!!!!!!!
What’s up with basketball team?
We need pt guard who can break
down a defense?
I’d say our biggest recruiting weekend will be when the Florida contingent checks out Manoa….If we can land a few of those Fla Speed athletes and keep our big commits like KT then I will be a happy camper…
After listening to Arceneaux this past season I think he has the kind of eyes that coach Chow could use up in the booth. I think that he would make a nice addition to the staff.
gesser
arceneaux
stutz
all st. louis boys, all good picks. i think UH needs some college coaching experience.
gesser
stutz
i would be ok with either.
Saw none other than Keith Amemiya check in to ALOHA SALADS downtown about 15-20 minutes ago.
A Grease would’ve mentioned once he saw an Amemiya open the establishment’s entrance door if the comment box was working properly. Tsai — wha’ going on w/SA blogs. Shed some light, hai, doozo. Pretty soon, smoke signals going be more effective. 🙂

Be nice if we did not have to read some of the opala on here from time to time..
Happy NEW YEAR EVERYONE..
Former Castle Knight Louis Wong, who played for on the oline for Norm at BYU, played in the NFL and head coached Timpview High to multiple State Championships would be a great Oline coach if that position ever opened up.
Fun fact.. in his BYU bio it states he was the only guy to leave the islands to play football. (In 1981). Assumes this meant only guy to take a mainland D1 scholie. My how times have changed.
Arceneaux please!!!!!Character???????
Wasn’t he up at manoa this yr for short
time,then he left?
Come on Uh rainbow warriors lets
get it together !!! Lets go Gib.Imua!!!!!
al: are you saying that the Kahuku players have made a “U” turn and now headed to the mainland?
I know we have 3 commits from Kahuku and hope they sign UH LOI.
@55 wowlaulau
think is right, maybe think outside the box! ault may have hired him but what was the difference from Nevada’s offense last year and Nevada’s offense this year…….you sooooo smart, Nevada rushed for more yards this year than last year and passed for more yards in 2011 while rushing for less……sure hiring a Run and Shoot coordinator that actually had a say in the play calling would produce those results……..YOU THINK!!! SHEEESH!
Nice blog here! Also your web site rather a lot up very fast! What host are you using? Can I get your affiliate hyperlink to your host? I wish my website loaded up as quickly as yours lol
Bring in this former NFL QB to be Norm’s Eye in the Sky

I’ve been exploring for a bit for any high-quality articles or blog posts in this kind of house . Exploring in Yahoo I finally stumbled upon this site. Reading this information So i’m glad to exhibit that I have a very good uncanny feeling I discovered just what I needed. I most indisputably will make certain to don?t omit this website and provides it a glance regularly.
Schatz is the one. He will be the senior senator from Hawaii. Come 2014 elections, will he remain as the senior senator? I don’t think so. And now we lose 2 years seniority for one senator. Aiyah.
Back to sports…
#92, I think instead on thinking outside the box you need to think…. and not ASSume. Read what the op posted and my response. Sheessh …
This is really fascinating, You’re an excessively professional blogger. I’ve joined your feed and sit up for in quest of extra of your wonderful post. Also, I’ve shared your website in my social networks
@96 Jimmy the lock:
Well, Mr. Schatz id get 37% of the votes in the previous primary against a fairly respectable field – Sen. Norman Sakamoto, Sen. Bobby Bunda, Sen. Gary Hooser, Rep. Jon Riki Karamatsu, and Rep. Lyla Berg.
And 57% of the voters did vote for him in the general election – true, he was on the ticket with Gov. A.
The only way he could lose in the 2014 race is if he goofs or one of our representatives forgoes her seniority in the House. If Representative Hanabusa runs, for example, she forgoes 6 years seniority as a House member. Of course there is always someone like Mufi etc that might take him on but it is difficult to knock out an incumbent.
Congrats Max Unger! HPA grad named starting NFC Pro Bowl center for 2013!
Is this the Big Island player that June Jones tried to recruit to Hawaii & move from OL to DL? If my memory is correct JJ made a comment after a recruit commited to Oregon as an offensive lineman. He said this recruit was throwing his future away if he stayed on the offensive side and that future success was on the D-Line. Anyone out there remember this? If not Max, who was it?
Thank you, I have just been looking for information approximately this topic for ages and yours is the best I’ve found out till now. But, what about the bottom line? Are you sure concerning the supply?|What i don’t realize is actually how you’re no longer actually a lot more well-liked than you might be right now. You’re so intelligent.
WOWlaulau
Think! You’re right i shouldn’t ASSume you are a thinker, saying that Ault hired him to do nothing but be a position coach and give him the OC title, great QB coach, but we’ll never know how good an OC he will be until he is given the reins to an offense with all decision making for the offense in his hands……..I think he would be great, I think he’s a great coach, I hope his last year at UH as OC was not a reflection of his Offensive Coordinator abilities, Don’t think he got his fair chance yet……..as an OC.
WOWlaulau
GLAD YOU KNOW HOW TO TYPE IN CAPS TO PROVIDE EMPHASIS ON CERTAIN PARTS OF WORDS! assUME nothing earn everything!
tommui #99
Tom, I told Kekoa that Hanabusa was a shoo-in…and I was confident that June Jones would never come to Hawaii. Moral of the story…on any of my picks, bet your house on the other horse!
Should Hanabusa run in 2014, I believe that a tremendous backlash against Abercrombie/Schatz will get her in. Many will view the selection of Schatz as a direct slap to Inouye (logic will not play a role here) and will act accordingly at the polls. I believe Abercrombie has made a serious mis-calculation in evaluating how deep the support for Inouye runs. That’s as much as I will say about politics until 2013. Life’s too short.
BG
Wish list for OC replacements.
1) Robert Anae
2) Coach Cav
Wishful thinking…
BG, #104
Sorry, but I don’t think so. 2 years is a long ways away.
@tommui
Thanks for the refresher from the Gov/Lt. Gov elections voter %tages. It may be difficult to knock out incumbents but didn’t Case get KO’d? Anyway, it’s only my opinion and that isn’t worth much nowadays (lol), I don’t think Schatz is going to have the “popular” vote come 2014. I also don’t think Mufi does either. In faq, I don’t know who will have the popular vote come 2014. Maybe and up and coming younger gun will appear in 2014.
Should be interesting come 2014 and 2016.
Maybe and = Maybe an
damn auto type fingers.
@BG
Would sure like to hear Abercrombie’s reasoning, besides being younger.
#108,
Proven statewide presence. Strong grassroots support. Ability to fundraise. Young. Just a few.
@iwonderwhytheyhateme
Thanks.
I showed some friends and family Schatz photo and they said “who dat”? Gave them the name and they said “who”.
For real now back to sports.
#110,
Ever seen the JayWalking segments on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno? Some people don’t even know who the President of the United States is.
Not surprised people would not know who the Lt. Gov is. Concerning but not a new problem.
Abercrombie will LEARN that you never honor a guy by denying him his “last wish.” People in Hawaii don’t forget that kind of thing and the “bachi” is already in place for Abercrombie not being reelected and Schatz being replaced in 2014…Dat’s just not the “local way”.
#106 WonderHateMe – Two years is a ways away, but I’m sure if Hanabusa decides to run, she (or her supporters) will remind everyone what Inouye’s last wishes were.
Pretty element of content. I simply stumbled upon your site and in accession capital to say that I acquire actually enjoyed account your blog posts. Any way I will be subscribing to your feeds and even I achievement you get admission to constantly fast.
Lingle must be smiling. Better get ready for that ad again.
Lingle. The best joke ever.
You know me.
Senator Schatz, please don’t miss any votes, and yes Linda, “We Do Know You”. Hehe
…………oh, and Go Warriors!
I have been surfing on-line greater than 3 hours today, but I by no means discovered any interesting article like yours. It’s beautiful worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the web can be much more useful than ever before.
Schatz will not survive 2014, Tulsi is a BETTER choice for Senate!!!! Go Warriors we need you in the 2013 Hawaii Bowl vs SMU!!
Thought I would respond to you with a sock puppet since that is what you like to do ….
Guess Abercrombie was trying to avoid a special runoff election for Hanabusa’s seat.
Attractive element of content. I simply stumbled upon your site and in accession capital to assert that I acquire actually loved account your weblog posts. Anyway I’ll be subscribing on your augment and even I fulfillment you get entry to constantly fast.
So creative….sock puppet, amazing…wow ate tooo many laulaus pat ur self on the back without wheezing
Interesting to see if Sen Tsutsui will take the Lt Gov position.
Mauiwarrior, heh, sorry, but, that ‘sockpuppet is entertainment when it comes around. ‘Sockpuppet of others appear mostly, so, no worries.
It IS the most wonderful time of the year . . . when ‘sockpuppet’s here!
OK Boys, time to Chillax! we wouldn’t want ST to have to rename blog the Warrior Beef! Hehe.

Nytal!
Folks, thanks for the political thoughts. I’ve forgone contributing further because we all know that political opinions being debated rarely (never?) result in anything positive. I’m having a great holiday season and intend to ride that as long as the wave holds!
Looking forward to LOI day. The recruiting has been mind-boggling and I’d like to see the final results. Keeping my fingers crossed for any players who want to return to the aina after finding the grass isn’t greener across the ocean.
a house…my reply was in reference to ekuale. he’s a solid commit. that Oregon stuff is history. you’re info is dated.
the kahuku boys are solid like a rock. in fact, we are in line for another one.
#107 jimmy the lock.
Case was an incumbent Representative when he decided to try to knock out an incumbent Senator. Shame – he would have had quite a bit of seniority in the House by now.
It would have been nice to honor Senator Inouye’s request to have Representative Hanabusa appointed for the remainder of his term.
She is a capable, hardworking individual. In the long run she would have been somewhere in her late 80s or early 90s before she built up any meaningful seniority in the Senate. I would have preferred another young candidate myself but Schatz will do if he survives re-election.
tommui…do you think that if abercrombie had one more election left in his career, would he have shunned senator dan’s request?
#69 no UH recruit will turn down a scholarship offer from Oregon or USC. These guys might love UH, but they’re not dumb.
For the conspiracy theorists.
The Punahou mafia strikes again.
If I were a senior senator who knew Inouye all my career, I might be inclined to help his replacement newbie senator out of gratitude and old times sake. But his state did not honor his last wish as to his replacement?
Well, whatever favors I owed Dan and his requested replacement…well, I’m off the hook. I owed Dan, not his state.
Excellent post. I was checking continuously this blog and I am inspired! Extremely useful info specially the last part 🙂 I handle such information much. I used to be seeking this particular info for a very long time. Thank you and best of luck.
Look. A Grease is happy with a Schatz appointment. X Generation . . . you thought we’d be meek. You thought the Y and game console generations would leap frog over us.
Best of all . . . you stubborn damned baby boomers who insist on ruining and ruining and ruining and content with your half-truths . . . heh . . . years are gettin’ on, eh? You’re slowly becoming that father you didn’t REALLY get along with. You’re having no choice. “We’ll hold onto it forever. You’ll see.” Well. See your Twilight Zone. You know.
X-Gen. We’ve always been here.
Well.. maybe in football and basketball.
Pride of Hawaii Sports has the Manti BCS Champioship Game Authentic Jerseys in stock. Cool but expensive, but hell, when was the last time a Hawaii guy won 7 of 8 major national awards and was on the cover of Sports Illustrated?
A Grease needs to chill. A Grease doesn’t really want to insult all us old guys does he?
Aloha to Tommy Lee and happy re-retirement.
:blank:
❓
One of these days I’ll figure out how to type a “blank” comment. Then again maybe not.
Re# 135
Anyone whose heart is set on UH and accepts an offer from usc or oregon instead IS dumb and/or IS getting bad advice. You can only sell your soul the first time once.
# 144, 3-Prong, aahaHah. Well, the gauntlet is thrown down and Gen Xers pick it up more quickly than you guys. Bet we end up having a better angle on the Palestine-Israeli thing later on down the road.
You guys have been in charge longer than China’s Mao; pun intended. But, no hoo-hoo — for now, at least — there STILL a number pile-of-ticians, proportionate to adolescent gal crowds on “Twilight” movie opening night, in the House and Senate ya’ll age.
We comin’, is all a Grease saying. We who have Die Hard and Star Wars and the 80s in heart and mind. Say good bye to the smelly ponytailed-The Beatles-“how many times must a man . . .”-Beatnik laden rhetoric.
Slowly, but, surely. We comin’.
Just thought id let you understand and keep up the great work some genuinely howling work on behalf of the owner of this site, dead outstanding written content
Would like to see rolovich hired to help norm chow add some run and shoot to his offense, it would be nice to have a more agressive offense to go with there defense.
I have some dates for October through January of rocket attacks and mortar attacks at Bien Hoa.

Hard to say: I rather doubt it. But it would depend on how much courage the Governor has.
Dan has always had the best interest of Hawaii at heart and perhaps that is why he was always being a “king-maker” endorsing this politico or that politico for office – whether the office was a political office, judicial or what-have-you.
But everyone has what they consider being in the “best interest” whether it is politics, or family, or even coaching or in choosing the best formation/system that the UH football should use.
I think the single-wing would be the in the best interest for UH!
I am hoping that Mr. Schatz would be elected in the next election and re-elected and gain the same type of influence as DKI had – this would probably be the best in the long-run interest of Hawaii.
That being said, Representative Hanabusa has the ability and knowledge that the late-Senator realized might be good for the immediate well-being for Hawaii.
So in my convoluted way, maybe if Gov. A was going to run again, he might be, in the interest of not offended anyone and in his best interest, influenced greatly in appointing Representative Hanabusa.
Excellent post. I was checking constantly this weblog and I am impressed! Extremely useful info specifically the closing phase 🙂 I maintain such information much. I used to be looking for this particular info for a long time. Thank you and good luck.
Hope everyone has a super last Thursday of 2012!
Slow day indeed.
Hope everyone is enjoying last quite week at the office or at home for the holiday.
I’ll be out will next year.
So, Happy New Year and Kanpai!
As for our new OC or QB coach to be.
Rolo has a better chance right now to be Nevada head coach than in Hawaii.
He already “X” out Hawaii when he left in September.

I read your post brother, and to that I respond.
It’s not a “man crush” on Rolo as you call it, instead a “man crush” on the system and it’s results. Period.
If the average fan knew half the crap that I know, and I’m sure Mr. Tsai knows much, much more, they would MARVEL at the success of the UH Football program under Greg McMackin, DESPITE Greg McMackin.
Not to be ugly or anything, but the truth is the truth, Mack was a horrible head coach, too selfish and self-absorbed to let his coaches coach. Like Dave Aranda and Nick Rolovich for instance.
Personally speaking, I do know Nick Rolovich, as a person before I do as a a coach. The guy loves Hawaii, loves football, and desires that all UH Warriors take away with them the same type of life-long memories he got take when his playing time was over.
The kids that played for him at UH, they have much respect and aloha for him. If you ever get a chance, go ask a few, then you will know.
His knowledge of the offense is top notched. Period.
Imagine, 5,000+ yards and what, 39 touchdowns by Bryant Moniz that one season, now imagine how crazy those numbers could’ve gotten had Mack not been the “bubblin’ idiot” of a head guy to get his own way…..to step on his own feet, to impede progress, to well, get in the dam way!!!!!
Okay, I grant you this BigWave, some of my words may make the picture look really ugly back then, truth of the matter is, it was. Do I believe Rolo would make a great addition at UH once again…? Yes! very much so.
Chow’s disciplined ways, which I love by the way, and Rolo’s creative approach….hmmmmm
It’ a little “outside the box” so to speak, but I could see that working. Don’t think I’ll see it happen, but I do see it working……
BG&W
I believe QB/WR coach slot is Open.
Rolo would be a wish list for anyone.
Even if Christmas is long gone.
GO Warriors in 2013!
As for Craig Stutzmann, who was at Idaho St, Rhodes College, currently at Weber St
He has a better chance going to SMU with JJ and TC and expand on R&S.

if the American Samoa player is a garan ball barren, reason for not signing his LOI so he could enroll in January 2013 and experience “spring ball”?
as for Kahuku HS, great, great if additional players will sign with Hawaii – great pipeline to keep open as is the Florida and Texas and Cali lines that feed UH – perhaps, we can increase the players for softball, volleyball, baseball, basketball, women’s track & field, swimming & diving, water polo, golf, etc.
would like to see the same for the Asia-Pacific region for viewership – all it takes is another Ichiro Suzuki to significantly increase the interest in UH academics and sports – best chance is China, Japan, and Korea.
