Don’t expect Brian Beckwith to be a candidate for the vacant assistant coach’s job in men’s volleyball. He probably will pursue a pro career in Europe or apply for graduate school.
Happy Friday Tsaiko Family!
ST – are all of these players invited to fall camp?
Happy ALOHA Friday!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WR7WUDDGfEA
Cult of Colt Watch!
GO WARRIORS!
*sniff sniff*
Smells like football in the air! 🙂
Need two more QB’s.
…then each one can pair up with his own WR and SB!
Why did I think Carlson was pau with eligibility?
Good Morning Tsaikos and all the ships at sea!
Top 10!
Boy-o’boy!!!!, how many does that make???, just joking. and while I’m at it…..top tenzzzzys!!
David Katina, Dom Sierra, Tuu Lolohea???
Bummer if those athletes failed to qualify.
WELCOME TO THUNDERDOME!!!!
Thanks for the list, ST!
Nice in-depth analysis of Idaho in this article. Idaho opens with North Dakota and then has their paycheck game at Nebraska. Their next 2 games are against MWC teams (UNLV and at Colorado State) so I hope they don’t get too many injuries at Nebraska.
Here are a few snippets from the article.
(carried over and opining on Garret and MichiganWarrior’s posts)
I may represent the small minority here, but I have alwats thought our sports culture as a whole in this country is B.S.
Locally-speaking, as much as I’ve attended UH football games, I’ve attented basketball, wahine vball, men’s vball, baseball, and softball.
I find VALUE in all sports. Male or female. Especially at the college level where our female athletes do just as much justice in the classrooms and in their fields of competition to represent UH as their male counterparts and at the college level a successful mens volleyball team brings as much value to the university up front as a successful football program.
I’m not stupid and I do see that dollar-wise, it’s not equal and it is the FAULT of our country’s own sports culture, but I REFUSE to be a part of that majority.
Am I naïve? To most I guess, but I don’t care.
As a country, we like to win, but we’re also choosy as to what we want to see win.
It’s best to fly above the “radar” sometimes. One may find their life more fulfilling because of it. 😎
ST,
Thank you for the roster!
To answer Ronnie’s question, not all of those players can be invited to Fall Camp because when I counted them it was much more than the camp roster limit. For example, we know that Corey Nielsen is not going to camp but is invited to join after the roster limits end.
Scott Morifuji,
Mahalo for the numbers, the backward & forward links, and the name format. Next challenge: getting the blog over to the Star-Advertiser, and not opening up the blogs in new windows. Thanks.
I’d be very curious if all 3 kickers go to fall camp. Given camp roster limitations, 3 kickers might seem like a lot to me when others like Corey won’t get to go to camp. Plus, how much kicking will 3 kickers get to do if they split reps?
I do not believe all of the players are invited to camp.
For instance, I believe Kahai Choy is a first-day-of-school player. Same as Corey Nielsen.
Kazz,
UH Athletics needs more fans like you. If they had more fans like you that went to all sporting events, things would be much better for the Athletic Department.
Garret:
Good point on the kickers. For sure, Enos and Hadden will be there. Not sure about the Kaiser guy; then again, he didn’t get a good enough look in the spring.
Sierra is going to grayshirt. Lolohea, I believe, is still awaiting clearance. Katina also should be OK, although I do no see him on the list. Maybe a grayshirt?
Good morning everyone!
That’s a lot of info to gather, ST. Thanks!
Blackberry Users:
warriorbeat.honadvblogs.com will NOW bring you to the blog instead of the mobile version of the Star Advertiser.
What is the status of Macolm Lane? Thanks.
Wow!! Mahalo for the list!! Will all of them play this season if they’re in good health or wil a certain number be cut?
Returning to yesterday’s blog which focused on $$$$ issues:
First of all, if I remember correctly every sport at UH has a separate booster club or a fund set up to help underwrite the team’s expenses – including the cheerleading squad.
Second, until state laws are changed permitting naming rights on physical facilities such as Aloha Stadium, the various playing venues at UH, and the various appurtances such as scoreboards, the only way to get corporate underwriting support for UH athletics programs are through tournament & event sponsorships such as the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl or specific games & matches during the regular season. If I remember correctly, every single one held at The Stan for the past several years has had a specific “Sponsor of the Day.”
Perhaps someone from the AD’s staff could tell us what the corporate donation for a specific game or match donation go towards – visiting team travel? accommodations? SSC operating costs? UH travel costs? Coaches’ salaries?
In the meantime, perhaps Garret and others wanting to change How We Do Things Around Here could take some time to put together a packet of proposals to submit for consideration at the 2011 Legislature. As a FANatic myself, I’ll be more than happy to take part.
I’ll identify the key people to contact after the General Election and the State House & Senate have been reorganized. Hopefully, a new chair will be selected for the House Higher Education Committee. There’ll definitely be a new Chair for the House Judiciary Committee.
ST,
What do you think of Zach Masch getting into the rotation at DT?
Wow.. forgot all about Malcolm Lane… If he comes back into the line up we’ll have two experienced deep threats… Lane and Bradley.. along with Pilares and Salas… + Green and Dimude… with a solid O-line we could be contenders… QB? hmmm… which way do we go, huh.. which way do we go?
Got my question answered about the roster number.
But if he hasn’t turned up for unsupervised workouts… maybe he has no intention of coming back?
Utah State just signed a RB that will play for them *this* season! It appears to me that he must have been a late qualifier–he sure had a lot of recruiting options before it appeared that he wouldn’t qualify.
I don’t know if the coaches will allow 3 kickers on the roster, but kickers are a different animal. They almost always are on the side practicing on their own. They need to make Kool-aid. Make friends with Kool-aid make kool-aid with friends:))
Here is an article by Ferd in 2003 that shows how UH didn’t pledge loyalty to the WAC and resulted in schools like SMU leaving. For all the blame that Karl Benson gets here, the facts are that Dobelle’s attempt to get into the MWC resulted in the WAC imploding.
What I remember about Malcolm Lane is he has sooo much talent but always seem to drop balls thrown to him at crucial times.
Basically, Dobelle was lobbying publicly for UH to get into the MWC just like how BSU’s President lobbied 5 years later. For all the criticism we gave BSU for making the WAC look bad, UH did it first!
Nice praise for Chad Owens’ TD return by his head coach. That was a *great* way to make his new team happy they traded for him!
Yep… and Boise gets to take all it’s BCS winnings if they get an invite, when it leaves, too, eh? Ah.. the things you don’t do can come back and bite you in the fanny…
papajoe2:
Still Lane warranted full coverage by the defense and forced them deep. He and Bradley could really open up the inside or even the run game. Any pass they catch could be a romp to the end zone.
madeinhawaii,
BSU will get to keep its $3 million when it leaves if they make a BCS bowl. However, the WAC will get to keep the other $3 million of the $6 million earned to split equally with the other 8 teams left.
If 2 non-AQ teams make a BCS bowl and BSU is the lower-ranked team, then they will get $3 million and the WAC will get $1.4 million.
Chawan,
Thanks for the video of Chad Owens’ touchdown run (in yesterday’s blog)! Terrific!
Rich:
I do not believe Malcolm Lane will be back. He was put on something of an academic probation last fall. He didn’t do as well as expected, and thus was “suspended” for the spring ball. Since he has not participated in unsupervised workouts, I think he’s done. For sure, he won’t be invited to training camp. Too bad. I like the guy. Very personable.
Bad news about Lane…but sadly, this was kind of expected.
As if we needed more examples of what an awful President Evan Dobelle was. He also hired Herman Frazier if your remember.
It will be a challenge for Masch to get into the rotation. Meatoga and Correa were clearly ahead out of spring practice. Tuipulotu, who underwent shoulder surgery last year, is now healthy. Hanohano is coming on, and the coaches really like Manapuna. But Masch is strength guy, and you always need those in the trenches.
Dobelle could have been the right guy, with his ties to the Democratic Party. Unfortunately, there was a Republican in the White House at the time.
Too bad about Malcolm Lane. I guess he didn’t want it “BAD” enough.
ST,
I forgot about Dobelle’s political ties. It was probably one of the reasons he was hired in the first place. He was stupid to make that ad endorsing Mazie Hirono though, especially when Lingle won the election, and we wonder why Lingle always seemed to have lukwarm support for UH ever since then.
st…what is the deal with friel?
Frazier is smart and charismatic. But for some reason. he had difficulty finishing the job. He couldn’t finish schedules, and he couldn’t finish contracts. And this was in a robust economy with the full backing of the interim chancellor.
Despite rumors, last I heard he was still committed to UH. Think they’re waiting on clearance.
2007 was a good year for everyone — UH, fans, businesses.
And then the bubble burst.
while lane’s loss is huge…i think that we have a bright (darius) situation if he doesn’t do the redshirt thing.
billy ray is coming off injuries. pollard is ready to step it up.
bright’s redshirt is dependent upon the health of the hot rod.
if bradley is 100%, then i think bright will sit and become the newbie of the year in 2011.
good to know that we have reload options at wideout.
not to mention that we are loaded at slot even with the two’s and three’s.
tombo found a vid of Chad Owens’ punt return from yesterday
http://uhfootball.blogspot.com/2010/07/chad-owens-90-yard-punt-return.html
hope we can see a bunch of those this year…
“BAD” or “BADDER”? 😆
…speaking of 2’s and 3’s at SB, will ‘miah find his way on the field sometime this season?
if karma holds true, hopefully idaho’s keo “trips” on the aloha stadium turf this year….
Already in the fifties!
Where have I been?
Good Morning Tsai-kos!
Got great reports about Correa and Falemalu’s athleticism, from their performance at the kickball tournament. That’s definitely good news.
Chawan
you got mail
#23 Doc… Great info! Looking forward to hearing how all of the funds are dispersed.
#30 Garret… Great find!!!
#34 madeinhawaii… Can you imagine how big that bullseye is on BSU’s back this year? I think teams will be aiming for them and saying forget about the BCS paycheck. Would be good if someone else like Fresno State, Nevada, or even us, could supplant BSU in the BCS this year!
I no mo red slippahs, so I no can click ’em together.
If Moses Samia is committed to being a defensive tackle, then his baseball days are over. If he stayed lighter and played defensive end, then he might be able to play baseball for the Rainbows.
Consider it done. It will be the Warriors that will beat Boise State.
thanks for the Chad Owens video
Re: Miah
Big mystery.
He appears to be in great shape. But it’s tough. Salas and Pilares have the top spots. Ryan Henry has been playing well. Dustin Blount is ready for some extended time. Then there’s Sampson.
Great list, ST! We don’t realize how many athletes are going at it until we see it printed like this!
Thanks for doing all that you guys and girls do! This is what makes discussions here so fun and interesting!
Falemalu is looking good. He’s working out now with both the linebackers and d-ends.
#59… Aurite, Pride!!! Go, Warriors!!! Das what I’m talkin’ ’bout!
Gotta play great defense and special teams.
Cannot turn the ball over.
Need to score everytime from the red zone.
Don’t give up any big plays on special teams.
Play great sudden change football.
Eliminate penalties.
I don’t see Ikaika Rodenhurst on the roster. Not sure why he’s absent.
we will need ostrowski and the others since salas, pilares, henry and blount are all seniors.
What we need is Chad Owens to come back and return punts for a TD, again!
Frickin mighty mouse still gett’em
To re-ignite the discussion on WAC payout of revenues. Look at the WACSports.com website. UH is ranked way down the list in 2009-2010 Commissioner’s Cup Standings. Give points for standings in all “WAC” sports. UH doesn’t offer 4 WAC sports (M Cross Country, W Indoor Track, Gymnastics and something else can’t remember), and three of our sport teams compete outside the WAC (M Vball, Sailing and Cheerleading). So if the WAC passed out revenue sharing based on performance in the WAC, UH would still be in the bottom half…
Otto:
Don’t forget water polo.
I saw Samson Anguay. He actually looks bigger/taller than I thought. Again, something about slotbacks getting 2 inches taller. Samson is going to grayshirt.
The Boise State game started in January. Boys need to think that way. Luckily from what I hear, players have a great relationship with the strength and conditionng coach. That coach has had them working their tail ends off since January. The key is, has been quality work? To work hard just for the sake of working hard is a waste of time. Got to work hard and smart. The hard work put in during the offseason and over the summer should enhance their performance on the field. Too many times we see athletes with bigger guns and bigger chests but yet their play on the field isn’t improved. Yes they look good without their shirts on, but did their overall peformance on the field improve? Not only did they get stronger? But did they get faster, quicker, more agile? Did they improve their balance, their endurance, and stamina? Do they have better explosion, change of direction, vision? Can they play lower, with better leverage? All of those questions need to answered in a positive way? Luckily, with the present strength coach, I believe that the answer to all of those questions is affirmative.
The Wariors need to believe today that they will beat Boise. They need to believe today that they will be BCS busters. They need to constantly use self talk to remind themselves of what their goals are.
Gigi, we got Allen Sampson. Hopefully he can contribute this year.
#70 OTTO… That’s another reason why the final Director’s Cup standings isn’t used for end-of-year payouts.
Pride:
You are correct. The players get along well with Tommy Heffernan.
I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t wait for our football and basketball seasons to begin!
Samson needs to hang out with Pilares.
ST,
Now that you’ve seen the QBs throwing some, what’s assessment of how they look?
TGIF!
Happy 4th of July Weekend!
Go Warriors!
Roster looks very promising!
Step up men and believe!
Warriors unite and be ONE!
I believe in the Warriors!
I BELIEVE!
MichiganWarrior,
Better buckle up because every UH sport is going to buckaloose!
It’s going to be a great, great time for UH athletics!
What’s the word on Marcus Umu?
allen “al” sampson will make us forget about the mighty mouse when his career is done. we’ll be calling him “big al”.
al,
you’d give up your name for sampson? how nice of you.
in case you forgot…here’s “big al” in action last year. note that he ran a 4.38. at plant hs (believe katie grimes’ alma mater).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsYkN1KeHDY
gigi,
I didn’t mean to give the impression that Colt has a small chance of making the Redskins. I really don’t know. If Colt is clearly better than Bartel, Bartel would’ve been cut loose already. From reading the article on Bartel, he appears to be a “game manager” type of QB. So I infer that he likes to play conservatively, avoid mistakes, and pick his spots to go for it. We all know that Colt is a playmaker/gun slinger. He’s aggressive and takes chances. I’d like to see Colt be more selective on when to go for it. If he throws lots of interceptions, I would think the #3 position might go to Bartel. So I believe that Colt’s pre-season games are really critical.
c_c…why of course. in fact, i’ll offer sunday bbq’s as well.
Colt would be a star in Canada.
Stephen,
thanks for the response re: Miah.
Any chance that he and Gib “exchanged numbers”?
good to see all of the recruited olinemen on the active roster.
curious to know why dustin elisara is not being tried out at mlb???
Which Al ran a 4.38 40? Kimura or Sampson?
Georgia Bulldogs Athletic Director.
FTW!
LMAO.
Sorry Papa.
Al,
Those clips of Big Al are phenomenal. The guy can sure run fast.
#86 Curt,
OK. You make sense and I agree with you.
Looks like BSU has a recruiting pipeline to Canada, beating out Oregon State for their latest commit. Most of their Canadian recruits have been OL or DL.
UH used to have several good basketball players from Canada but I can’t remember football players from Canada. With the Warriors like RGM and Owens having success in the CFL, maybe some Canadian high school players might be curious about UH?

I saw Samson Anguay. He actually looks bigger/taller than I thought. Again, something about slotbacks getting 2 inches taller. Samson is going to grayshirt.
ST: What about Corey Lau? I sure hope that he grayshirt/redshirts; he needs to grow
a lot bigger. (has plenty speed)
Excited about the fall indeed!!!
Football, mens and womens basketball, and Wahine volleyball.
Three different sports, but FOUR different levels of expectations with the SAME goals.
That reminds me Garret. I like the way that coach Gib has put together his coaching staff. Gib has contacts in California, he has another coach that knows Brazil, and a third that knows Chicago. He just added another staff member with ties to Austrailia. I’m quite excited about the direction that the basketball program is going in. It’s kind of early to tell, but the program will be very good two to three years from now.
Garret,
I think Dane McArthur was from Canada. He was a great slot receiver for Hawaii. Anyone remember him? I was on the mainland at the time.
Pomai:
We need to go to a work out next week I will drive……………
re # 103.
Yep, Dane MacArthur was an excellent slot in Paul Johnson’s offense.
Played the Aloha Bowl vs. mich state.
Pride (#92),
I think Kimura-san can do the 40 in 4.38 MINUTES…easy. 😉
OT Jim Mills is from B.C.
Tall, 6-7 ? Played several years for the Baltimore COLTS.
someone said he now owns a saloon.
Pride: Do remember him?
He sat in the front passenger seat of my ’65 Volkswagen Bug during his recruiting trip. He was actually about 6’8″.
It’s 2010.
Saloons still exist? 😯
Pretty thin at corner don’t ya’ll think?
BIK
ai-ee:
Not sure if Corey Lau is out there. I believe he also is a gray shirt.
Re: Corner
It does seem a little thin there, and it might get thinner. Tank Hopkins probably will redshirt.
I’m having a senior moment (or eight). Which corners did UH lose from last year? Because with Steven Christian back, and John Hardy and Dee Maggitt added, I would think thee would be more corners.
ai-eee-soos. The most interesting passenger in that Volkswagen Bug was Wilt Chamberlain. He was a little taller than Jim Mills. Yes he did fit in the front seat…barely. His knees were hanging on top of the little handle, that sat right above the glove compartment.
That night reminds me of my dad telling me in high schol that nothing good happens after midnight. Dad was right.
Stephen,
Has anyone committed but has not been announce yet (UH Football)?
The young offensive linemen look like they may have some length to them. Looks good.
#112 Pride,
Hubby played a pick up game with Wilt Chamberlain in Klum gym back in the 1970s. Hubby was a grad student and Wilt had retired from BB and was with a volleyball team from the mainland. Fun game!
No solid commitments.
Yet.
My favorite Wilt Chamberlain story.
A guy asks him: How’s the weather up there?
Chamberlain said “it’s raining.”
And then he spits on the guy.
Or so the legend goes.
Pride: re #112.
Man, it MUST have been an “experience” to be out with Wilt !!!
” … That night reminds me of my dad telling me in high schol that nothing good happens after midnight. Dad was right. … ”
BTW, are you mentioned in HIS book?
haha, ST.
David likes to mention that Wilt bragged about the astronomical number of women he had slept with!
UNLEASH THE HOUNNNNDDDDDDSSSSSSS!!! OOPS!!! I MEAN
THE WARRRRRIIIIIOOOORRRRSSSSSSS!!!
Yes, Boise will be beaten!!!
Pride tried to recruit Wilt to UH??
re # 108 Kazz:
July 2nd, 2010 at 1:31 pm
It’s 2010.
Saloons still exist?
Kazz: saloons might still exist in the north-of-the-border woods.
Nah, frankly I don’t know; never been north of Vancouver;;; and that was in the 70’s.
You mean Murphy’s is not a saloon???
Braddah Kaika is no longer on the football team.
If Football and Basketball is the most popular College Sports. The Athletic Department should
ask the NCAA if they be interested in starting a new sport *Coed* Football and Basketball NCAA Sanction Sport doing the off season. It will draw fans and help cover the Expenses for all other sports. I forgot to add *Coed* Volleyball. Why not extented the season for the fans and their respective sport a little longer. Who ever is in charge of **Title Whatever** Committee this is the time to take sport to a new level.
PRIDE:
Rod Aldridge (sp?) who played basketball for the Bows had a VW Bug. He looked like the gunner on a B-17 bomber (bottom turret) looking between his folded legs which were higher than his head.
I assume you were thinner when you drove around in your VW. 🙂
Gosh, it’s tough getting a “decent” picture of a Long Snapper. 😆
Who’s taking the snap?
hello, Tom Mui, aka Watch Godgifu.
Anyone know how much Chad Owens is being paid by Toronto? I know there was a salary dispute with his former team, hence the trade.
GIGI (re #129) hello yourself.
Once AL figured out who Watch Godgifu was, the blog name was dropped – no fun when he figured it out.
Back to the old drawing board.
Tom,
I have been gigi-hawaii since 1997 — 13 long years!!! Don’t plan to change it.
Why? What happened to Kaika? Is he transferring to another school?
When I went to PCHS, there were no guys like Lefotu.
Kaika = Brodenhurst?
Lefotu is a big guy. He said he can bench 415.
Kazz – You went Pacific Coast High School?
Pride.,
Tell your nephew that Flagstaff gets good Hawaiian music sometimes. HAPA is playing there tomorrow and my halau is dancing hula for the show. Tickets only $12 advance/$15 Sat. Miss my hula ‘ohana. I hope the Hawaii kids who are still in Flag-town take advantage of this. NAU brought Pepper in for an outdoor concert several years ago.
Had to laugh at the picture of the Marine vehicle stuck in the sand at Nanakuli tracks. That ain’t no u-turn.

#111 – You need a media guide from last season… 😀
homey, #140
I remember our jeep being stuck in the red mud of Lanai’s pineapple fields. Pretty scary. I thought we’d have to spend the night there. Somehow, we got out by pushing the jeep.
Slugger:
Media guides, trust me, are no help. Always outdated.
But I do notice Darius Ward is among the missing.
The Beast isn’t listed, either, but I guess it’s because he has to sit out this season.
When I first read this I read “Pomai: we need to go workout next week I will drive” and thought to myself, he must be nuts, unless he’s making a cc call>>>>>>>>>>
ST,
Did Desmond Dean gain any weight since Feb.? Looks pretty thin for a DE, thought he would be a greyshirt due to his physical development.
So you were the ones ruining the pineapple field roads.
Interesting topic. I recommend you to visit and my blog and find what are you looking for Webcam Girls
Dean does look thin but he could be one of those that are wiry strong. Looks like he could pack on 60 more pounds of muscle. Tommy’s Gym should take care of that.
web cam girls – English is your second language huh?!?!?!
IMUA WARRIORS,
good off season training, coach tommy doing his thing…..the clock is ticking….
#143 The Beast
Coach Mack wants him ready in January 2011 and for him to hit the books this summer and fall and load up. He said it would be too frustrating for him to be on the field and not get reps; better for him to train in the weight room and be ready to roll in January. Also, with him going to DE/LB he can continue to work on his speed and power…he’s at a solid 250 and is looking pretty good according to the Pac 5 coaches that saw him work out last week. He’ll be ready to battle for reps 1/1/11/…………….
Let’s continue to support ALL the Warriors in their quest for a victorious season!!!
Bulla,
Can hardly wait to see “the beast” in action for the Warriors. We will ALL be proud as he makes memories!
Go Warriors!
haka,
all the Warriors make us proud, being a student athlete is tough. they got these guys going from morning to night, and that is the biggest transition for HS players besides the speed of the game.
a former coach for Tennessee and USC (asst for LB’s i think) said that for some players, the game is too fast for them, a blur….and they’re always out of position….for others, it is like the movie ‘The Matrix’, and those are the playmakers. They have that 6th sense, always around the ball and they can ‘smell’ the play.
January 2011 will be awesome, but this 2010 season will be a challenging but rewarding season for our Warriors.
IMUA WARRIORS 🙂
oh yeah, this season is going to be a lot of fun! you gotta believe!
yo warriors! come out and PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
Is that why cattle calls seem to go in slow motion?
Pride,
whenever i have had the good fortune to attend a CC, Homey’s chopsticks, custom i might add, are fast even in slow motion…and the disappearing food from DPK’s plate was definitely in slow motion, haha.
the slowest thing to move is the collective mind set of the people gathered, too many interested in sitting and talking story for extended periods of time….so slow, instead of jumping back into the hustle and bustle of chaos we call life. c’mon, time’s a-wasting you guys, you act like Senior Citizen wanna be’s……..cheeeeee
By the way Bulla. Hope that you have a mild, uneventful weekend in Waikiki.
For those who missed it yesterday.. Chad Owen’s 90yd touchdown punt return can be viewed on Tombo Ahi’s blog.. http://uhfootball.blogspot.com/
Be sure to come back now.. you hear?
San Diego Legacy: 2-0 in bracket play today, one more game tonight. Pearls 0-1, move to losers bracket. Kaikamahine 1-1, move to losers bracket. Kamakaze in losers bracket.
Either I am losing my mind or I just had a brief run in with Marissa Tomei…
Nah… cant be..
Bulla,
Da Beast at LB? Wow!!!
Has Ryan played as a LB before?
2011 really sounds like the “year” for the Warriors to finally arrive and make their mark. But we still gotta get through 2010. Get us to a Bowl Game.. win that… then keep on winning.. winning.. winning…

More evidence that Coach Mack is concerned about the individual athlete first and wanting them to make academic success their first priority. Sounds like Ryan will be the run stopping kick a$$ player Mack is looking for.
UCLA tosses 3 incoming recruits, 2 4 star and 1 3 star, from team and school. I guess some athletes will neva learn that crime does not pay.
Imagine if you are a member of the Big 12 and you get s rookie coach (Tuberville of TT) putting the Big 12 down. He hasn’t coached one game against any team for TT, then runs at his mouth about the Big 12. Why did he apply for the hc position at TT???
The NCAA will finally start publishing the APR stats for D1 schools.
This also includes the names of the head coaches. Will be interesting.
whitey,
i have the utmost respect for coach mack and his genuine concern for his student athletes, he has their best interest at heart. some people might not agree, but that’s my take on him.
Kazz: only at camps, more DE, but the Joker position requires speed, power, and ‘the smarts’…so we shall see….either way, just play your best athletes and let the chips fall
IMUA WARRIORS 🙂
Less than 62 days to the opener against USC… just a few weeks away from summer camp… already the anticipation is beginning to build.
Very interesting site. Thank you for recognizing the players north of your borders. Thank you Chawan and Tumbo for posting that http://uhfootball.blogspot.com/2010/07/chad-owens-90-yard-punt-return.html.
It makes us proud!
I hope I may contribute to this blog.

MIH,
Are you actually going to the games or watching them on PPV like me?
Bulla,
I thought your son was a student on the mainland — was it New Mexico? What brought him to UH?

gigi,
My wife works on Saturdays. Sometimes nights.. sometimes days. We just never know when. So I watch PPV or online.. if by chance, she has the evening off, we might go to Big City Diner and/or we try to catch a couple of games live.
We’re also saving up to open our own studio so, we really have to watch our expenses for a spell … my goal is to hopefully get season tickets for the 2011 season. I have a gut feeling that while this season will be a good one and a winning one, 2011 will really be the start of some really outstanding Warrior football on both Offense and Defense and I want to be in the Stadium for that.

any predictions for the Warrior season? I’ll be sheering for a 13-0 season, but realistically 8-5.
papajoe2
I saw only one other prediction and now yours.
Does that mean I’m guaranteed 3rd place prizes?
#191 OOOPS, sheering = cheering
Good Morning Gangeez! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Win ’em all, I say!!!
I mean, just look at the names above!
Win ’em all!
That TD return came at a good time for Chad Owens, who had fumbled after a catch earlier in the game.
With a wider field in the CFL game, I think Chad is going to have many great returns in the weeks ahead.
Go for it Chad!

a full scale carnival/event is a great undertaking…
a little over twenty years ago i was involved in the planning one of the state’s bigger events. it takes many to pull it off. for this event, a cast of thousands was required along with many resources up front. it still runs today and it still takes thousands to pull off.

Great job~
I have been blogging since 2007. For years I made a few bucks here and there with Adsense and some affiliate sells, but I wasn’t making enough to quit the day job for sure. I tried getting traffic from Adwords, SEO, Yahoo, article marketing, social sites, and even email. The problem was that I just couldn’t get enough traffic to really make anything. Then I found out about a new way to buy traffic for so freaking cheap that it was nuts. I could then send that cheap traffic (for pennies!) to my blogs, get enough sales to realize a 1000% return on my investment, and suddenly my life was changed. I’m banking $300+ on a bad day now, and the future is looking way better. If you’re sick and tired of only getting a handful of visitors to your blog, check this site out. I’m not some stupid foreigner trying to sell crap on DP. This is LEGIT! You will go from a few dozen visitors a day to thousands! —> Blog Traffic Secret

Great post compadre – keep writing!
Sorry for being off topic, but I am just starting my website/blog. Why did you choose WordPress over blogger or any other blog program? I am trying to figure out the best way, since I am not a techy.
Great read. Sorry to be a little off topic but I was wondering, I want to start a blog but was trying to figure out how to get a readership to it. How do you get search engines to find you like I found you? Is that hard?

I can certify that your headline “
hawaii news staradvertiser.com
…” is cool and I can state that you are a terrific person.
Really great site that you have built good info thanks.
Thanks for this post, I am considering talking about the same in my blog.
I can say that your headline “
hawaii news staradvertiser.com
…” font size does not fully formed on my browser, (I just wanna let you know) but perhaps it’s my linux debian system that is causing a issue other than that you’ve got a good topic.
Can I make a suggestion? I believe youve obtained some thing excellent here. But what in case you added a couple links to a page that backs up what youre declaring? Or maybe you could give us something to appear at, one thing that would connect what youre declaring to something tangible? Just a suggestion.
Sorry to be off topic, but I like your posts and I wanted some feedback for my blog. I have a hard time writing, but I do want to share my experiences. Am I stuck between a rock and a hard place? Or should I just do it?

This can be one of the most powerful article I ever read in a long time, I’m talking about this component of your article “… UH football roster. If a player is not listed, it means the player is A) going to grayshirt, B) is still awaiting …” it also made me think about the day I came across my wife.

Some loosers just don’t realize, like my friend who couldn’t realize the real meaning of this line on your article “… roster. If a player is not listed, it means the player is A) going to grayshirt, B) is still awaiting …” this is it, you just crushed it down buddy.
Keep up the work!
This could be one of the most compelling discussions I ever learned today, I’m talking about this section of your article “… player is A) going to grayshirt, B) is still awaiting NCAA clearance, or C) the blog host forgot to type …” it also reminded me about the day I met my long time friend.
After much thinking I think your title “

Wherever can it be, i like to read much more about this post, thanks.
My son was laughing at me when reading this line on your blog “… to type in the name. Defensive end Veni Manu has met the NCAA eligibility requirements, but …” it makes me to look more intelligent after learning it.
