After missing the entire training camp because of concussion, wide receiver Billy Ray Stutzmann received medical clearance and resumed training yesterday.
The Rainbow Warriors had only conditioning drills and a brief walk-through session yesterday afternoon. There were no footballs used during the session.
Stutzmann suffered the concussion in a one-car accident two days before the start of training camp. His car was totaled.
“It’s good to be back to business,” Stutzmann said.
Stutzmann said he kept fit lifting weights and riding a stationary bike.
As for transportation, Stutzmann patted his legs, and said, “I’ve got these.”

Analysis: James Starks looks like the odd man out. He plummeted down the depth chart after his fumble on Saturday at St. Louis. The Packers could see if there’s any possibility of trading Starks or Green, but they haven’t received any offers yet. Kuhn still has value as the lone fullback because of his blocking, leadership and special teams contributions.
I was reading a USC blog that says SC coach is trying to play mind games w/ Chow, by not naming his QB. He also says he’s not worried about Hawaii.
Good to read that Billy Ray Stutzmann can resume playing.

OC Warrior, et al. USC coach Kiffin did the same thing down here in S.E.C.-land, bad decisions followed by a jump to USC by bringing his dad with him as D-coordinator. I think that poppa Kiffin not wanting to stay in a kush job with his son speaks volumes. In the realm of leopards don’t change their spots; just wait until the NCAA violations start popping up and piling up. That is another Kiffin trait. Who are the AD’s who keep pandering to this guy.

I wouldn’t worry about SC’s quarterback controversy….cause we will have or own shortly with Graham and SS.
SS has one full year under his belt and can only be personally better and team better with the receivers he needed and more players with more understanding of the system.
Graham has zero experience except for what, high school? Not much in college.
For my money, I’d start SS. if the two are generally both in the same arena execution wise, experience wins out. SS has already played SC and did well in their house last year???? SS also has a full MWC season. It’s just my opinion but to toss that all on the side for pretty much no experience, it’s a big gamble.
It’s like your parents buying you a beat up hoop-d to drive (last year’s season with personnel) and your parents buy your younger brother a brand new car ( this year’s personnel, receivers) when he only has a driver’s permit (Graham no SC, MWC, or game time experience). ST has been saying SS looks good…maybe part of that is because of the upgrades at receiver. ST has been saying SS arm strength looks great. Anyone, how big a difference is there between the two QB’s?
However I will say this, no matter how it pans out we will have the best sustainable number 2 and probably 3 quarterbacks we had in a long long time.

Moocher, no sense discussing which QB should start. Chow said Taylor is the starter. Same as last year when he named Sean the starter. He will stick with his starter for the season. As to my take on the two QBs, I will first qualify my view by saying that I only attended the first two scrimmages, so I haven’t seen them in practice or the scrimmages at Pearl Harbor – Hickam. But based on their performance in the earlier part of fall camp, I thought that Sean showed he had a better grasp of the offense and knew what he wanted to do. No delay. Quick release. But we have to see Taylor under the lights. And I wonder whether Sean can bring “it” to the game. But as I’ve said before, I don’t care who plays. Just play the guy that can move the chains.

i agree, chow will stick with his man.
im just wondering if there is no real gap between the two QBs, wouldn’t experience play in as maybe the then biggest factor?
anyways, yes, win or at least compete. SS is battle hardened and has much better tools this year. If chow goes with Graham or SS, let’s just hope chow sees it fit to replace one QB and put in another IF IF IF its necessary. My opinion… chow stayed with SS all year last year in order to get him ready for this year…besides, what choice did he have.
Then again, Graham had all of last year to prep for this year…SS was in the line of fire, Graham was not…so if they are pretty much a dead heat, why not go with the battle hardened guy who played SC at their house and did a respectful job?

FYI—Alex Green had a really nice run last night versus the Seahawks—Running back Alex Green’s 31-yard run moved the Packers into Seattle territory following the Seattle score, and a pass interference penalty against Seattle on a B.J. Coleman pass that was intercepted, moved the Packers inside the Seattle 20-yard line.
