Not-so-private practice

MERIDIAN, Idaho — The Warriors practiced for a little more than 2 hours at Meridian High School, whose nickname  is … the Warriors.

“That’s why we picked this place,” head coach Greg McMackin mused.

It was chosen, in fact, because it was about 4 miles from the hotel where the team is staying. And Meridian’s field is an artificial surface.

The Warriors went through their menu of plays, and the defense did well, with linebacker Corey Paredes intercepting three passes during 7-on-7 drills. “We’re going to make you a slot,” slotback Greg Salas yelled to Paredes.

The drama came with about 30 minutes remaining. The players noticed that a man, hiding behind a fence, was shooting video of the practice. Strength coach Tommy Heffernan was alerted. Heffernan, in full sprint, approached the guy, who began packing his video equipment. Heffernan received rousing applause when he returned to the playing field.

  11. Garret November 4, 2010 9:13 am

The WAC invited Montana State on Friday? Is this a strategy to get Montana to want to accept a WAC invitation? Does Montana State add anything to the WAC’s TV contract or football strength?

It sounds like the Grizzlies and Montana State received formal invites from the WAC on Friday – the same day the Big Sky invited in North Dakota, South Dakota and Southern Utah.

Garret, re #11, “sounds like” doesn’t mean a whole lot. I haven’t seen any information anywhere to corroborate that such an offer actually took place. In fact every indication (other than this columnist’s speculation) is that the WAC has no interest in MSU and MSU has no interest in the WAC.

the montana state/montana marriage was long considered since both are public colleges. it has been long mentioned that this was offered like this not so much as a travel partner, but, rather as being politically correct.

in the end however, the state of montana would probably opt for just one wac membership. the obvious would then be montana.

i am guessing that the feasibility study is in and the number crunching is taking longer than it should. perhaps montana is soliciting more money from its current supporter to facilitate this move.

Basketball – home team jerseys are white or at least the lighter color (depending on league rules).

Blackout, whiteout, greenout, whatever. Growing up and going to games, I thought it was understood, just wear green. My mom got me a yellow UH t-shirt once and I couldn’t figure out why… I wore it once to a game for her and then went back to the standard green.

    Howzit Gang!

Came across an interesting piece of gossip. It’s speculation, of course, but interesting nonetheless. Its from AOL Fanhouse (ala Graham Watson).

Currently, the WAC is looking at Seattle, Denver, Texas-San Antonio, Texas State and Montana as possible replacements. All but Denver would be making the jump from the FCS and Montana has not yet decided whether a move to the WAC is financially feasible. If Montana does come aboard, the WAC could add TCU to make the conference a 12-team basketball and nine-team football conference. If Montana can’t make the move, the WAC could still take the Horned Frogs by squeezing Seattle out. Seattle could join the West Coast Conference, where BYU’s non-football teams ended up.

  57. Shoko November 4, 2010 11:46 am

Dang, forgot to include the link (again)!

  58. al November 4, 2010 12:02 pm

    shoko…nice find. very interesting.

could byu return to the wac, too. i don’t know, but, i know the wac is talking it up in provo. they’d be fools not to. besides, with the pac12 and big12(-2) announcing that conferences games will be up to 9 games it will be harder to find quality teams to play in the western region for the likes of any independent.

even jd is beginning to change his tune.

if tcu and byu were to return to the wac, more could follow.

He puts up fairy tale numbers, but doesn’t put up their own padded stats:

Boise’s Opponents so far this season = (24-34). Hardly tough opponents. Only three have winning records so far…

Virginia Tech (6-2 in a weak ACC) got beat by D-IAA James Madison.

    Oregon State (4-3).

Toledo (6-3 in an extremely weak MAC) also lost to last place Wyoming at home.

Hawaii’s Opponents so far this season = (36-35). Four have winning records so far…

    USC (5-3).

    Army (5-3).

    Fresno (5-2).

    Reno (7-1).

See conference rankings for further scrutiny:

  61. Shoko November 4, 2010 12:09 pm

    Al,

Sure enough, the conference landscape is in a constant state of flux. It’s hard to keep track sometimes. Often at times, I find it bewildering, but you got to love the suspense. 😉

Anyway, from the Idaho Statesman regarding Salas.

Boise State junior cornerback Jerrell Gavins will give up 5 inches and 36 pounds if he gets matched up with Hawaii slot receiver Greg Salas on Saturday.

Gavins (5-foot-9, 174 pounds), the third corner, plays in the Broncos’ defensive package that features six defensive backs and likely will get extensive playing time against the Warriors’ run-and-shoot.

He expects to face Salas and fellow slot receiver Kealoha Pilares often.

“That’s a challenge to me,” Gavins said. “I look at it as, I always say I want to go pro. If I go pro, I’ll probably be one of the smallest dudes in the league. The average receiver is 6-2. Andre Johnson (of the Texans) is 6-5. That’s what I want to go against. Let’s do it. I can jump pretty high.”

The Broncos’ defensive backs are eager for the challenge presented by Hawaii, which leads the nation in passing yards. Most opponents have been throwing short passes, but there’s no doubt Hawaii will take shots down the field.

“The D-line has been dominating,” Gavins said. “The linebackers had their games. We’ve been waiting for our game all season, a throwing team. This is our game.”

I can only say to Gavins, get ready for the pain! 😉

What is the rating of the conference numbers calculated on? Does this rating has anything to do with AQ points etc?

  63. Capitol -ist/WassupDoc November 4, 2010 12:16 pm

Just came back from 9 am meeting to pick up stuff for my 1 pm meeting. From yesterday’s blog

Last night, I tried to find a story in the Star-Advertiser about Doris Sullivan – went back a week, but I was not able to find any reference at all by looking at the headlines in both the regular stories as well as the sports stories.

She mentioned during a conversation last year that she was, like all the others who worked in the PIAA, a volunteer and only received reimbursements for her expenses. I gather that must have changed.

Sorry to read here that she is no longer involved with PIAA.

Could someone here provide a link to a story as to what happened? If not, then how about providing the information here so that those of us who somehow missed the initial announcements can be brought up to speed.

BHF and others: As soon as Tuesday’s election is certified, all legislators will report to work. The new Committee chairs will be announced before Thanksgiving. For us sportsfans , the committees in the State House & Senate we will want to look at closely are Higher Education/Education, Economic Development (S)& Tourism (H)because that’s where Aloha Stadium issues are placed, Finance/Ways & Means, and Judiciary.

Neil & Brian will be sworn into office on Monday, December 6; however, they have already started working on who will serve in DaGov’s Cabinet and who will be core staffers with whom Jim Donovan & Virginia Hinshaw will be working.

The critical departments we need to track – especially who will head them- are the Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism and the Department of Accounting & General Services.

Because the University of Hawai`i is semi-autonomous, the Legislature and the Governor cannot directly intervene in either its day-2-day operations or its long-term planning; however, unlike Lingle who ignored the University System, it is my understanding that President Greenwood will be asked to be a part of the the Cabinet.

Click http://www.hawaii.edu/admin/regents/index.php to see who currently serves.

As for Regent nominations, it looks as if there are four positions – out of 15 – to be filled by next June 30th. That process is handled by the Regents Candidate Advisory Council. Click

https://www.hawaii.edu/rcac/ for more information about it.

With respect to the Stadium Authority, it doesn’t look as if Neil will begin to have an influence there for at least two more years. The Authority is way off most people’s List Of Things To Do except for a couple of legislators who have stepped up to take a much more careful look at the Authority’s decision-making process.

What I suggest is that we start collecting the names of qualified people to submit to DaGov’s office to be named to the Authority. As soon as I find out what the nominating process is, I’ll post it here.

Remember – all appointments to all boards & commissions as well as Cabinet officials must be ratified by the State Senate. The only exceptions are appointed staffers who work within the Governor and Lt. Governor’s offices.

If you have any process questions about how things get done at either the city or state level, please ask. If I don’t know, then I’ll be glad to find out and post the answer here.

Off to a round of meetings at 1 pm, and 5 pm and then the Wahine basketball season opener this evening. Won’t be back here until after 10 pm.

Have a GREAT rest-of-the-day. Happy Birthday Sweetie.

    #62… Not an Expert…

Here’s the link to the ESPN chart: http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings/conference

The ESPN Stats & Info conference rankings system uses a formula that equally weighs the rankings from the AP poll and the computer ratings used by the BCS.

  65. madeinhawaii November 4, 2010 12:19 pm

“The D-line has been dominating,” Gavins said. “The linebackers had their games. We’ve been waiting for our game all season, a throwing team. This is our game.”

That says it all.. Boise is ranked high on pass defense because there has been very little passes to really defend… say “hello” to Hawaii!!! If you’re nice, maybe the boys with the big H will shake your hands, too, whenever they make a TD!

  66. jm2375 November 4, 2010 12:26 pm

  67. Not an Expert November 4, 2010 12:36 pm

    Michigan Warrior:

    Thanks for the info.

Looking at this just gives more creedence that a conspiracy does exist among the BCS conferences. The MWC and the WAC being the number 5 and 6 ahead of the ACC (7) Big East (8). They realize the MWC and WAC were starting to creep up on the ACC and Big East over the past few years thus the plucking of UTAH, possible plucking of TCU, and having the MWC and WAC reek havoc among themselves, keeping them in the bucket with the rest of the non BCS crab wannabes.

It’s not too late for the MWC and WAC to merge themselves together and create one BCS conference and a sister conference of the lower tier teams of the conference. Keeping them a seperate entity not to disqualify the AQ status of the Big Brother. More money for the Big Brother same amount of money to the sister but big brother can help assist financially the growth and stabability of the sister.

The BCS has succeeded in keeping the MWC and WAC on the outside looing in. Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah wants an investigation if the BCS has broken anti-trust regulations. Although Utah is going to the PAC-12 he still wants this investigated. Hopefully it does and I bet as soon as it is the BCS will unravel and a new beginning will be born especially for the non BCS schools.

  68. Ipu Man November 4, 2010 12:49 pm

Last year, UH turned the ball over 6 times?

Shane Austin actually did pretty good but had 3 interceptions.

And I think UH only gave up one sack.

And UH forced a safety early in the game.

And before last year, UH averaged 30 or more points against

Boise. So guys, hang onto the ball. Watch out for fake punts

and wandering ends and even qbs.

  69. Michigan Warrior November 4, 2010 12:50 pm

#65… MIH… I’ve been going over the drives LaTech had against Boise. LaTech actually did a decent job of moving the ball against Boise. They had some long drives (80, 75, 73, 56 yards), but they couldn’t convert on third- and fourth-downs, and gave up the ball either on downs or turnovers while still on their side of the field, thus giving Boise super short fields.

LaTech threw for 222 yards and outrushed Boise with 172 yards (compared to Boise’s 163). LaTech also had 25 first-downs, compared to Boise’s 21.

  70. Souljah November 4, 2010 12:52 pm

Hawaii needs to win this game! There’s nothing bad/negative to beating boise. The money BSU might make by going to a BCS bowl game is going to be kept by themselves. The WAC is already guaranteed payout from Boise State regardless if they win/lose all their games.

I’m going to be extremely dissapointed, frustrated, and pissed off if the referees juice the game for Boise! It’s going to be WAC refs and the WAC doesn’t gain anything from Boise winning. So I’m hoping and praying the game is ref’ed fairly to both sides and let the better team win.

Go Warriors! Play to Win! No Mercy!

  71. Pomai November 4, 2010 12:58 pm

We are Hawaii. We are the Warriors. We have presence. We have confidence. We posture ourselves properly. When we walk into a room, we have a walk with a commanding presence. Boise state has to beat us. They have to play their best game to beat us. We are the leaders in the WAC for the year 2010. We are in the lead in the conference. We are at the top of the conference standings. Boise State has to beat us. They will need all of the help that they can get. They will need hometown advantage, they will need to paint their field blue. They are coming onto our field to try to beat us. Yes, our field. Every field that we step onto is our field. Everything between the lines is ours. We will own the line of scrimmage, we will own the field. No matter what city we go to, we will own the field. That is our posture. That is the culture that we are building as Warriors. Teams have to play up to us. Nuff said.

Exactly, I don’t want to hear any excuses either. Plus the game is sooo much more fun to watch win or lose.

  75. Michigan Warrior November 4, 2010 1:18 pm

Looking over the play-by-play of the Boise-LaTech game, LaTech gave up a number of points.

Trailing 28-13, they failed to convert on 4th and 3 from the Boise 9. (Might’ve been 28-20, but instead, it turned into 35-13).

LaTech then fumbled on the next play from scrimmage, giving Boise a short field and leading to a TD 42-13. (Should still be 28-20, or possibly with a long drive… 28-28).

LaTech then fumbles the next kickoff on their own 26, followed a couple of plays later by K.Moore’s INT.

LaTech takes that turnover, and drives the length of the field, only to turn the ball over on downs on the Boise 3 (Might’ve taken the lead 35-28, instead, it leads to another Boise score 49-13).

LaTech then follows that last drive with another stalled drive on the Boise 2 (Might’ve now been 42-35 or 45-28 in favor of LaTech!)

So, we can see that taking care of the ball, and not wasting our scoring opportunities is of utmost importance in this game.

I know our Warriors can do this. I think Boise is super worried about this game. We gotta come out solid, and not to give the Ref’s any hanky-throwing practice.

Happy Wet ‘n Windy Thursday, Tsaikos. Re #54 al – Dayton was in the booth this past Saturday; heard he was helping Associated Press with its football coverage. Maybe ST can verify; in any case, it was nice to see Dayton at football again.

I thought La Tech’s strategy of kicking an onside kick with the score tied showed no confidence on their part. My take is that they felt they could not play with up and up with Boise so they made a move in desperation which caused them to fall apart. That turned a tight game into a runaway. I know our team is going into this match with confidence. While they may throw in a trick play or two, I believe our coaches will not be playing scared like the La Tech coaches did.

  80. Michigan Warrior November 4, 2010 1:49 pm

All I can say, at this point is…

I can’t wait for game day to get here!!!

    Own Da Field!!!

  81. A-joe November 4, 2010 1:51 pm

I just got a pic from a friend in Boise of their Blue field and I let him know how disappointed I am. It’s just not Blue enough. It looks a little warn and faded. I specifically asked with ample time for Boise to have their field Bluer than Blue.

Oh well… on TV it’ll look blue. But up close to the players it’ll look a little ragged. =(

    Not so intimidating.

    Shucks!

    Come on, Boise!

  82. Michigan Warrior November 4, 2010 1:56 pm

Anyone got t-shirts made yet with Pride’s speech?

I’m serious… it needs to be made into a plaque… maybe koa wood, carved with “Da Speech” (black letters), and then laminated and put up in the locker room.

    Own Da Field!!!

    Go, Warriors!!!

  83. Garret November 4, 2010 1:59 pm

The WAC was creeping up on the Big East and ACC the last few years? Let us look at the Anderson computer rankings.

    2009

    1. SEC

    2. Big East

    3. Pac-10

    4. Big 10

    5. Big 12

    6. ACC

    7. MWC

    8. WAC

    2008

    1. Big 12

    2. SEC

    3. ACC

    4. Big East

    5. Pac-10

    6. Big 10

    7. MWC

    8. WAC

    2007

    1. SEC

    2. Pac-10

    3. Big 12

    4. Big East

    5. ACC

    6. Big 10

    7. MWC

    8. WAC

Most people don’t realize that the conference that was #6 in computer rankings in this AQ evaluation period (the MWC is #7 and needed to get into the top 6 to automatically become an AQ conference) was the *Big 10*, not the Big East or ACC. However, the Big 10 adding Nebraska put them safely above the MWC. The Big East and ACC are nowhere near being passed by the WAC or MWC, even with the struggles by the Big East this season.

    #83… Garret…

I had posted #60 and #64 above, as taken from ESPN’s Conference Rankings. I had asked on a couple of previous ocassions for an update to the conference standings, but no one came forward with any information or link(s).

I stumbled across this while looking over ESPN’s various posted polls.

Is Anderson the only computer rankings used in determining conference rankings?

Here’s the link to the ESPN chart: http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings/conference

The ESPN Stats & Info conference rankings system uses a formula that equally weighs the rankings from the AP poll and the computer ratings used by the BCS.

  86. LizKauai m/ November 4, 2010 2:12 pm

    So. Which is “mo pono”:

Some if not all of those watching the game and thinking about “for entertainment purposes only” activities made a commitment to dedicate a certain % to a certain booster organization?

Some folks do not participate in the “entertainment supplement” to the game and just put the kala into a certain booster organization?

    Just wonderin’…

  87. Garret November 4, 2010 2:13 pm

    Michigan Warrior,

The trouble with ESPN’s rankings is that they have almost NO relation to the actual BCS standings. For example, it seems that ESPN averages all the computer rankings but in the actual BCS computation the highest and lowest computer ranking is thrown out…that makes a BIG difference! Plus, the AP has *nothing* to do with the BCS rankings.

  88. Garret November 4, 2010 2:15 pm

    Michigan Warrior,

I didn’t realize you had asked for information before on conference standings–a combination of extra work and the flu had made me skip most responses to information requests and I figured others could provide the information.

When you consider that BSU’s points all count for the MWC in this evaluation period, the WAC is *far* below the Big East and ACC in the 2008-2011 evaluation period. The WAC was buried significantly below all AQ conferences (and well below the MWC) in 2008 and 2009, and is even just #8 this year when you take BSU’s points away.

I hate to pour cold water on positive rankings from ESPN, but ESPN is really misleading people with their conference rankings.

  89. Garret November 4, 2010 2:19 pm

For those thinking that the Big East has to worry about their AQ status because of one bad year–look at how they were #2 and #4 in 2008 and 2009. Also, the Big East gets a 25% BCS point bonus for having 9 or fewer teams.

  90. Ipu Man November 4, 2010 2:28 pm

    Good reporting up-to-da-minute news ST:

“The drama came with about 30 minutes remaining. The players noticed that a man, hiding behind a fence, was shooting video of the practice. Strength coach Tommy Heffernan was alerted. Heffernan, in full sprint, approached the guy, who began packing his video equipment. Heffernan received rousing applause when he returned to the playing field.”

But how long wuz the spy there. And did Heffernan give him

    nice words of advice?

  91. Ronnie November 4, 2010 2:33 pm

The drama came with about 30 minutes remaining. The players noticed that a man, hiding behind a fence, was shooting video of the practice. Strength coach Tommy Heffernan was alerted. Heffernan, in full sprint, approached the guy, who began packing his video equipment. Heffernan received rousing applause when he returned to the playing field.

hmmm…. Does he work for the Patriots? Or is he a huge Hawai’i fan who just wanted to be close to his favorite team? Or is this how Boise stays ahead of their opponents? hmmm….

  92. Warrior Expat November 4, 2010 2:33 pm

Are there any NCAA rules or regulations about spying on other teams’ practices like that (assuming the spy was a BSU agent)? Is there anything that can be done to prevent the spy’s recordings from getting to BSU HQ?

  93. Ipu Man November 4, 2010 2:34 pm

According to BC, UH doesn’t hide its offense.

It doesn’t matter what UH does, he says, it is

how the defense lines up and reacts as to how

UH will react. You can’t defense against UH,

he says. But how about defense. Maybe that

video guy taped something that will help BSU

    offense…

  94. Michigan Warrior November 4, 2010 2:37 pm

The top 4 ACC teams are 6-2. Three of the four are in the top 25 (#20 VT, #23 NC ST, #24 FLA ST), while #29 Maryland, and #36 Miami (5-3) also received votes.

The ACC’s top team lost to D-IAA James Madison.

Top Big East teams include #27 Syracuse(6-2) and #34 Pitt(5-3).

Top dog Syracuse has blow-out losses against Pitt and Washington.

Seems the East Coast voters are trying desperately to keep these two conferences in the top 25 to save their AQ status.

    Thanks for the info, Garret.

Just looking at those two conferences this year shows me that they are getting votes that they seem to not deserve.

Wondering if that guy videoing the UH practice was positively identified, and his motivation behind the taping.

  99. Michigan Warrior November 4, 2010 2:45 pm

Of course, he’ll deny any involvement with anyone or any team. Did Coach Tommy have a look at what was taped, before letting him leave?

  100. LizKauai m/ November 4, 2010 2:46 pm

MI Warrior… east coast voters are sleeping when the Warriors play. When that list of QB voters came out, I facebooked some and suggested they look at Moniz.

I got one response back. It was positive.

Good example of mainland marketing strategy was demonstrated during the election. No thank you very much.

When the Warriors’ success is old news, some may jump on the bandwagon. I don’t think about them too much. Lots of people feel safer throwing (as in under the bus) than supporting (as in sticking neck out). Let um.

  101. Stephen Tsai November 4, 2010 2:46 pm

  106. A-joe November 4, 2010 2:55 pm

Let them cheat! Whatever it takes to make them feel better. Honestly, we have nothing to hide.

Mac should invite the entire Boise Staff to sit in on practice. Save Boise the embarrassment and drama. JJ did it with Pat Hill all the time. Look at the results- it did Hill little good.

We’re there on a mission. I’m sorry but, it’s bigger than Boise.

  107. Michigan Warrior November 4, 2010 2:58 pm

#100… Liz… I can understand that, since I have gone to sleep very late (or early, as the case may be) after Warriors games.

But, my point is that it seems east coast voters are purposely voting UP those mediocre ACC and Big East teams just to keep them ranked, if for no other reason. I mean, c’mon now… the highest ranked of all ACC and Big East teams is Virginia Tech… the same VT team that lost to D-IAA James Madison! Wow! That just blows me away! We lose to Colorado, and we drop off of the face of the Earth. At least Colorado is a D-IA team… and they beat Georgia the following week.

  108. Michigan Warrior November 4, 2010 2:59 pm

So, they got Benson, the Ref’s, the blue turf, and now a spy! LOL… They must be really worried!!!

  111. SteveM November 4, 2010 3:08 pm

Wow… the Boise videographer spy probably got the secret footage showing that UH has a linebacker that intercepts balls a lot, the tendency for UH to throw a lot, and the secret play where the running back with the dreds actually runs with the ball. 🙁

  112. Ipu Man November 4, 2010 3:12 pm

  113. madeinhawaii November 4, 2010 3:22 pm

  115. A-joe November 4, 2010 3:23 pm

  117. madeinhawaii November 4, 2010 3:35 pm

Whoa.. I wonder if that will knock Auburn out of contention? I mean if they play for the NC… and win.. and are found guilty.. they have to vacate the win, don’t they? Maybe it’s a ploy to shake Cam Newton up… unravel the team for their next game? Maybe one of the other contenders spread some rumors?

Coach Dana’s 4 new recruits are full of fire – quick – tough – excellent free throw shooters – they played well with Kanekoa as the point guard – Shawna starting to play well too – gaining confidence – knee looks good – Mai has not lost a step – still got the speed and defensive skills.

Saw Kekoa and Ralph across the way on the Wahine side – Sailor Blue and Janice got court side seats – look out for the ball and players!!!!!!!!!!

    A-House,

#173 – Kamilah Jackson looks really good around the basket, seems to be a really tough rebounder, both offensively and defensively. Praying Shawna stays healthy this year, they can really use her.

  181. madeinhawaii November 4, 2010 10:46 pm

Just a small mention in USATODAY

    http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/2010-11-04-games-of-the-week_N.htm

Hawaii at No. 3 Boise State

With rock-solid QB Kellen Moore in complete command of the Broncos’ offense, there should be plenty of yards for WRs Titus Young and Austin Pettis as well as TB Doug Martin. But the Warriors have the firepower to keep pace. QB Bryant Moniz has the WAC’s two top WRs, Greg Salas and Kealoha Pilares, in his arsenal as well as change-of-pace TB Alex Green. Neither offense is turnover prone, but look for Hawaii FS Mana Silva or BSU DE Shea McClellin in the vicinity if any occur.

You should really think about working on developing this blog into a major authority in this market. You evidently have a grasp handle of the matters everybody is searching for on this website anyways and you could definitely even make a buck or two off of some promotion. I would explore following recent topics and raising the amount of write ups you put up and I guarantee you’d begin seeing some awesome targeted traffic in the near future. Just a thought, good luck in whatever you do!

I irritates me that the Buffalo Bills (?) have an inferior ‘Colt’ starting and 2 injured veteran QBs, but a team like that doesn’t even consider making room for a our Colt? That’s why the Bills, Raiders & other teams are where they are.

Hidden in the AP’s “Virginia Tech’s streak hits 7” article in today’s Star Advertiser, there’s this:

Utah AG meets with Justice Dept. about BCS

Utah’s attorney general met with Justice Department officials this week to discuss a possible federal investigation into college football’s Bowl Championship Series.

Attorney General Mark Shurtleff is investigating the BCS for possible antitrust violations and is hoping to get the Justice Department to do so as well.

“They are doing their due diligence,” Shurtleff said in a telephone interview yesterday, a day after the meeting. “They had done their homework.”

Shurtleff said department officials did not commit to conducting an investigation.

Justice Department officials did not respond to requests for comment.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

How the Ab Circle Pro Is designed To Work The Ab Circle is advertised to give you an abs workout and a cardio workout at the same time. It does so because of the position you take with your kneeds and hands supporting you and the motion you do from side to side on the machine in a sliding motion. It’s supposed to be better for the knees and back. The Ab Circle comes with a workout Video and a nutritional guide. The suggestion of the infomercial is that you will lose belly fat and inches off your waist by doing very short workouts on this machine. In my experience I would say the ab circle pro is a great machine that has given me amazing results. As long as you follow a reasonable diet.
