BG is the winner of the unused — and unwrapped — DVD of the 100th Anniversary of UH Football.

Following in the tradition of Blaze Soares, Waylon Lolotai will be used as an outside linebacker this spring. Lolotai said he weighs about 240 pounds.

Lolotai, who is from Colorado, spent two years on a church mission before transferring to UH in 2008. He redshirted in 2009, and now has four years to play four seasons.

The Warriors begin their offseason program Tuesday.

    There is a rumor floating around that Amanda Gil has committed to
    U-dub, late evening yesterday. In my personal opinion, this is not true.
    This is the reason:

    She is taking a recruiting trip to U-dub this weekend. How can a
    prospective student athlete commit to the institution at the beginning
    of his/hers visit?

    Therefore, no credibility in the rumor.

    You’re right that Jake may lose some speed, but if I remember correctly, he was pretty quick at 250. At DE he can just pin his ears back & rush the QB. I feel he loses something at MLB because he has more responsibilities. If Brashton returns, he won’t get much PT. If we can have 4 bonafide DEs, they can keep rotating guys. Sione is quick, but I think he only weighs 220. Hope he tips the scale at 240 by gameday.

    This Amanda Gil story is becoming so amusing…and some people can’t resist pulling on people’s legs who are taking this seriously…which I think is what happened last night. I agree with you about UW. She’s scheduled to visit UW and Hawaii. Why blow the trip to Hawaii by deciding now? If she’s already decided on UW and still trips to Hawaii, I wouldn’t want someone with that kind of character playing for the home team anyway. By all accounts, that’s not the kind of person she is.

    Why she’s even considering Pac 10 schools is beyond me. As mentioned previously, she’ll have to sit out one year minimum with no scholarship. UNLESS, she transfers first and her new school can get 8 of 10 school reps to agree to waive the one year penalty. IMO, without some compelling reason, her chances of getting approval are virtually none. If they approve it for her, then the regulation will mean nothing. They will have to approve for everyone who simply wants to transfer. Throughout all the years, you can count on one hand and have fingers left over, for the number of intra-conference transferees. On the other hand, using the one time transfer exemption between 4 yr schools, she can go outside the conference and play/be on scholarship immediately.

    Hawaii is the logical place!

Large crowd, singers, musicians, waiters with sandwich trays, cotton candy, caramel apples, etc. A fitting service for the life of Candace, who was also a nationally certified librarian and teacher.
