McKnight vision
Norm Chow had just stepped off the bus in El Paso when he was told there was somebody waiting to meet with him.
Unexpected visitors had become habit since Chow had been named UH’s head coach a week earlier. (He was allowed to finish his duties as Utah’s offensive coordinator by coaching in the Sun Bowl in El Paso.) But Chow had been told there was something unique about this visit: The guy had driven a truck 725 miles from San Diego to drop off an application for a UH coaching job.
“That was different,” Chow recalled.
And that was when Chow met Dennis McKnight, who had two stints (1999-2001 and 2006-2007) as a UH assistant coach.
Chow did not hire McKnight, but came away impressed with the effort.
McKnight coaches the offensive line for Lamar, which plays UH this Saturday at Aloha Stadium. The Cardinals arrive on Thursday, which is McKnight’s 53rd birthday.

LizKauai can’t make the UH-Lamar game so she’s giving away her ticket. If you want to enter the drawing for the ticket, post: Aloha, Liz.
Liz will pick a winner.

Happy birthday to bighilofan2.
WTF
What’s Today’s Fish?
I don’t understand why McKnight is no longer coaching with June Jones. What happened?
Top 5!
So Chow faces 2 coaches who were somehow associated with JJ: McKnight and Rolovich.
Should be interesting to watch.
Lamar also has a 5-star Abilene high school recruit, running back sophomore Herschel Sims.
He rushed for 83 yards on 13 carries for over a six yard average. They also got another
running back named, GARRET, who carried 16 times for 79 yards, both done in their last game.
Lamar totaled 432 yards and their qb Mossakowski passed 21-30…
Photos of the Kickoff Party and Tailgate party prior to the USC game are now up. A number of former Rainbows and Warriors were in attendence including Gary Allen, David Toloumu, Nick Clark, Dwayne Jett and Tim Grasso.

Granted they played a small school but Texas is Texas…
Top 10!
Whoa.
Burger King pop-up ad just popped up out of nowhere.
Way to go sales staff.

Good morning all, top twenty.
Happy Birthday to BHF2.
Happy birthday to the big guy bighilofan2…
GOOD MORNING HAWAII!
Happy birthday BHF2!
Birthday wishes to; BigHiloFan2…yeeeeha!!, enjoy your day.
Be wary of any teams from Texas. There’re so many talented football players there. Not all of them can play for Big-12 or SEC schools. Not that bad of a journey for Lamar – 90 min bus ride to Houston, then hop on a direct 7.5 hour flight to HNL.
Good Morning Gangeez!
McKnight is truly an original. Best of luck to him where ever he Coaches. (Except for this Saturday of course. )
I saw McKnight at San Souci Beach earlier this summer. Da buggah looked like he can still strap it on and go!
Happy Birthday to Da Beeg Wheelo from Heelo!
dpk…you went beach?
Aloha Liz!!!!! Aloha Liz!!! Aloha Liz!!!!
Three times a charm!!
I knew you was lurkin’ al, just like a shark in da water at San Souci…
As Wafan noted on Saturday’s post, 99club hit it on the mark when he said:
“Don’t let them score a point, especially early. We don’t want to deal with a heady Lamar”…
in reference to the old Hollywood gossip columnist.
That was so funny.
Aloha, Liz
dpk…one thing good about you going beach. all the mako leave the area immediately.
Oh wait, Hedy Lamar was Joan of Arc…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedy_Lamarr
It’s quite obvious from both McKnight’s efforts to be on staff and his comments in the article that he loves Hawaii for more than just its football.
Welcome back Coach McKnight. Hopefully you will fulfill your wish and make Hawaii your permanent home. If not Side Street, how about Da Kitchen?
Shame on me for missing Liz this weekend. But that’s what happens when you’re not the driver. Sorry Liz. Good luck with the drawing everyone!
morning warrior and wahine nation
congrats to coach bud and soccer wahines keep it up. to the vball ladies keep battling good things are ahead still.
Stephan be aware of small print on BK coupons over cyber space. clearly states not in Hawaii. we got got on that Saturday.
btw is it saturday yet?
Good morning!
Happy birthday to da guy who wakes up da roostas in Keaau, bhf2!!!
IS IT SATURDAY YET??!!
Hate watching Pizza Hut, and Dominos brag how cheap their pizzas are but
you can’t buy them at those prices in Hawaii. Subway, too. At least Jack
In The Box is honest. Some lawyer ought to sue…
Thank you all for da wishes!
Aloha Liz
#20 OldSchoolDave said: “Be wary of any teams from Texas.”
I remember Texas A&I years ago. We were prohibitive favorites to win! We didn’t.
So let’s not take Lamar lightly.
Hedley Lamarr was the character in Blazing Saddles! Great movie!
And Texas A&I didn’t just win, they creamed Hawaii. But Lamar s no Texas A&I.
Hiya!
Happy Birthday, bhf2!!!!
Good Luck! Will pick the ticket winner around midnight. ST will deliver!
Happy Aloha Monday!
GO WARRIORS!
Aloha Liz
Liz – ST will deliver? Uhhh, hmmmmm, ok. 🙄

Good morning everyone!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIGHILOFAN2 !!!
BigHiloFan2 ~
Happy Birthday to the proudest member of the Warrior Beat Tsaiko’s. I hear the coaching staff is putting together a spesho punishment exercises they will name in your honor. From now on, if you are late to practice you must do 25 sets of the Big Hilo Hurt. It is said to be so hurtful, it’s classified TOP SECRET.
We can be sure a coach Dennis McKnight team is going to be very motivated.
ST & Tsaiko Blog Dogs:
@#39 & #40, Texas A&I opened the season for UH at the “new” Aloha Stadium in 1975, 37 years ago. My time flies…is it Saturday yet?
Go Warriors!
nah 37 years ago seemed like last Tuesday bwhaaaa
looking forward to seeing the “f ing” tsaiko’s this new warrior season. just luv these peeps …. no pun intended if your an original and know da code.
happy bday to bhf2
#39- Tommui: I remember Texas A & I coming to Aloha Stadium in 1975. They had a guy returning kicks who was 6.2 220 lbs and ran a 9.7 100 yd (not meters) dash. He ran back 1 or 2 kickoffs for a score. I also remember a fan asking Larry Price on his radio show why UH didn’t have such players. Price replied: In Hawaii we’d probably have a guy with that speed, but he’d be something like 5.7 155 lbs.”
Aloha, Liz!
Wow, awesome that Coach McKnight drove the distance! Wish him the most Happiest Birthday on Thursday! He was always fun to watch in UH sidelines! I’ll be looking forward to his dynamic personality on Lamar’s sidelines this Saturday!
A BIG Happy Birthday Aloha to BigHiloFan2!!!
I was at that UH – Texas A&I game. Gee, was it that long ago?
There were a lot of ceremony speakers on that occasion, and I noted only one of them even mentioned the Texas A&I team for being there. Then the game started and they dismantled us. Weren’t we supposed to win by 3 touchdowns?
Aloha, Liz.
I think Army HC Rich Ellerson’s claim to UH football immortality is that he made the first ever tackle at brand new Aloha Stadium against Texas A & I (of course it was at the tail end of a long run, if memory serves me correctly).
@#8 Nice to see David Toloumu’s name mentioned – all-time favorite. I played some pick up basketball with him once upon a time when my bones didn’t creak. Still remember him as being cat quick – my eyes popped out when he saved the ball from going out of bounds when I thought it was humanly impossible to do so on that occasion.
yup, had plenty practices ah da BigHiloHurt.
The Lamar game should be a demonstration of the Chow offense. Expect to see a lot of running plays and ball control. Expect to see the Warriors play a complete game. Expect to see a conventional punter and strong special teams play. Warriors should control the trenches on both sides. If they don’t achieve superiority, then the system and coaching should be questioned.
Harding is the punter so expect somebody not to get a perfect score on his predictions.
I enjoyed Coach McKnight while he was here. But I have full trust in Coach Chow that the candidate he chose is better. Good luck in all your future endeavors Coach McKnight. .
Happy Birthday, BHF2!
You live in Keaau? My sister lives there. Her husband is from there.
8 Div 1AA teams took down schools from Div 1….2 of them from our own MWC.
Let that be a reminder to our players this weekend. Take nothing for granted. Go out and be ready to take the kill shot.
Braddah BHF2, One huge happy birthday to you!!!!!!
I don’t know the last time i went to a pep rally.

reminder to all Tsaiko and their family and friends:
With your football renewal tickets, attached is a coupon for a free men’s or women’s basketball game.
If you will not use this coupon, please bring to the Lamar tailgate or my seat, Sec TT,next to the “right side” of the jumbo tron looking to the south end zone.
Again, a BIG SHOUT of “mahalo” to UKU from LA for sending his 2 coupons – received in the mail today!!
BTW, we watch your grand daughter giving the weather report every night on KITV – doing a great job!!!
Hope to see you soon!!
A-House,
What do you do with those comped tickets?
Give them away as Prizes.
I don’t remember seeing them.
The Lamar game is a BIGGER game than against USC…If we don’t “show-up” and beat this team, we may as well fold the tent for the rest of the season.
#73,
Oh ok.
Wisconsin and Houston fired coaches after their embarrassing losses. Tough deal, but that’s the way it goes.
Wisconsin fired offensive line coach Mike Markuson after their dismal loss to Oregon State.
Houston fired offensive coordinator Mike Nesbitt after losing to newcomer Texas State and La Tech.

Old Futtness is a state of mind.
Happy Birfday BHF2!
BIK
In the 60’s, 70’s, and early 80’s, you still had Top shelf athletes going to schools like Texas A and I, Prairie Vies A&M, Grambling, etc. Not any more. Nowadays, they all go to the SEC, USC, and Oregon.
BIK
LA – Monroe got a big time qb. I am surprised no big schools picked him up.
I did not know that Peyton Manning had scoot. It was fun watching him run for a first down.
I forget how simple football can be.
I got a long-distance call today. I said: “Excuse me, who is this?”
He said: “Ray.”
Me: “Ray?”
Ray: “Lamar’s head football coach.”
Aloha, Liz
afternoon gang!
happy birthday BigHiloFan2
Hawaii might win.
Hawaii might lose.
What is known is there are only six home games this year. And after the Nevada game, four of the next five are on the road.
In other words, appreciate every tailgate opportunity.
#77,
Better than
ST: Who is this?

Hello, Neat post. There is an issue with your site in internet explorer, may test this? IE still is the market leader and a good component of people will pass over your great writing due to this problem.
Good afternoon all!

Before the week over takes me–and It’s Saturday… What’s the password to Access Tsaiko Tailgate? Some of you already have my email or are FB friends. Could someone message me? Thanks in advance!

TChahng,
Thanks for the reminder!
duffer,
Yes! Empty, turned inside out to prove there is no “contraband” but otherwise, allowed! 👿
duffer,
Actually, I believe they allow backpacks but not any outside food or drinks.
OK thanks
OK, I was away for a week and missed a lot of Hawaii news. Just heard on the news yesterday, but I wasn’t really paying attention. Did Greg Salas really get traded? If so, to what team?

Patriots.
I remember as a high school aged young person going to UH football games at the old stadium. There was this team who I remember coming to play UH from Texas. They wore black uniforms and as they came out of the tunnel, I thought, “uh, oh” they don’t look like the Redlands and other schools we’ve been playing.
Those guys just kicked our behind. I think they ran a version of the veer.
Pomai, 52 UH – 21 Lamar
14 points lst quarter by UH,
l4 points 2nd quarter by UH,
10 UH points 3rd quarter,
& 14 UH points by subs, 4th quarter…
Oh…I forgot points by the defense.
Well, I hope they add to the score.

Aloha, Liz!

warriors betta watchout and don’t take lamar lightly cause Mcknight will have his boys hyped up for a upset.
SI.com is running a Super Fan Photo contest.
Submit photo to win tickets to game of your choice.
Saw on their sports page.
It did not say if it included round trip airfare…
or how many tickets.
But I would guess many Tsaikos would be Super Fan photo contenders…
Vili should enter…
Thanks jm2375!

#53 OldSchoolDave:
On the other hand …
Walter Nazoe is about 5’6″, maybe 170 when soaking wet. He played against some 6’2″ 200+ pounds guard or tackle at Nebraska when we were some 50 points underdog but we beat them and he held his own.
But you are right, height often makes a difference – the Wahine played tough at times but the UCLA players …
Like Larry Price said “physical superiority cancels out all theories”
Aloha All,
I am heartened to see the end of the costly ‘big party’ at the end of the season. A family event where fans, players, and families may attend is truly a community gathering to honor the players for their season.
From experience I can tell you the cost of the banquet was out of hand: $65k the last year when I was involved. And that cost was in addition to the 6 season tickets purchased for the a/v guy who then tuned in an invoice for $2k to do the a/v for the banquet and the highlight dvd (clips already selected and sent to him from the Football AV tech on staff), as well as the non bid contract for the awards that topped $3k. $1k for balloons?? $5k in-kind for printed programs? In the words of Aretha Franklin “who’s zooming who”.
One of the principals of the Waterhouse Foundation pointedly told me to delete a coach request for more $$ for the banquet; Waterhouse trustees did not think that more funding was needed for ‘partying’.
The Alec Waterhouse Trust provides $25k for the end of the season banquet and does so year after year. The remaining costs are borne by Na Koa. Simple math tells us that this banquet change will see more Na Koa $$ going to high priority needs within the Football program (recruiting, training table, and more). I applaud Coach Chow’s decision!!
See you all in San Diego.
Stop by Filippis in Little Italy to say hello if you have the time. We’ll be there in the outside patio (covered) from noon to 2:30 or so.
A little help please…
Am I watching the AFC West or the Big West?
It’s tough to tell because evidently neither one is playing football this season!
😈
Especially since this isn’t Facebook where you can delete and block people that trash up the newsfeed with that stuff.
physical superiority cancels out all theories …
Unless there is a flaw-less drug-testing program in place.
UH 27 Lamar 17 our offense will have a breakout in the next game
gigi,
Thanks, i know My wife misses the
Kids alot! Tell Julia aunty and uncle misses her and the other kids
We-ah: Thanks for sharing…Some habits are hard to break. I’m glad to hear that Coach decided to make the end of year celebration more affordable & a “people’s” celebration. Change is hard, but sometimes u have to do it to make things better!
Thanks for your grateful university blogs informations.
Gotta ask ST. He might be on the Patriots active roster. Not sure if that’s true or not. Just heard.
eh not easy being a contraband role model, takes a lot of hard work.
All in!
Aloha Liz!
papajoe2 and kifi,
Yes, Salas is now a Patriot. He was dressed and on the sideline, but didn’t see any playing time. He has only been there for a week, so it was unlikely he would have seen any time. He is familiar with Josh McDaniels (the OC, his former HC at the Rams).
I don’t care for the Patriots, but it is really a great fit for him. I see him learning a lot from Welker.
UH 38 Lamar 10
Don Weir,
Mahalo for the back info re: the year-end banquet. The football program can surely use more of the Alec Waterhouse Trust funds than spending it on a banquet where only a select few can afford to attend. If you want to increase support, I think Coach Chow’s idea will do it. Here’s hoping that this idea will flower.
Aloha, Liz! 😉
I appreciate McKnight’s drive (literally) to see coach Chow like that, but didn’t he leave Hawaii twice before? I think Chow was correct to find someone else. And yeah, why isn’t he still with JJ?
A-House:
I don’t see anything in the football ticket envelope for a basketball coupon – must have thrown it away when the tickets arrived a couple of weeks ago.
Perhaps I can get some replacement coupons from the ticket office.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Won’t be at the T-gate until about 3:30 pm which is about when folks will be cleaning up from the lunch. We’ll bring something for the Post-Gate.
With respect to the BYU away game on September 28, is there someone with a decent-sized house who can record the game which starts at 2 pm and the host a Tsai-ko Potluck Party starting at 5:30 or 6 pm? We do not have PPV plus both of us will be working that afternoon so we will not be able to stop by one of the sports bars.
Seeing Don Weir’s post (#139) reminded me of a comment made during Sunday’s (I think) broadcast of the Wahine match. It was something like “Come on down to the Stan Sheriff Center for the Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Alumnae Dinner. Tickets are only $95.” The value might be good, but “only $95” per ticket just doesn’t sound right.
I remember the 1980 opener against Abilene Christian at Aloha Stadium. I think there were some 40,000 plus in attendance to see that game.
DON WEIR
Thanks for the info (#!39).
Coach Chow’s idea of the luau is brilliant. To build up support means aiming for the masses, not just the rich and famous.
To Bufoman (106)
That team that kicked UH’s A__ was Texas A&I.
Bummer, go on Hawaii Athletics “sports gallery” and you find only 8 pictures of UH vs USC. 8 pictures? really! If you go on sportshawaii.com “photo gallery” you find NO pictures of the UH vs USC or anything else since early August.
Do the Warriors play this week? Lack of media push, support or excitement if I have to go search for any updates, stories or pictures that have anything to do with Warrior Football. C’mon show some love.
duffer — check your cell phone.
If you have changed number, please call me.
duffer…you bringing some maui wowee is why you need your back pack?
WDoc: the BYU game will be shown on ESPN, not PPV, so you can record the game on your TV.
i think tom might want some of that stuff.
are you offering your big house with the big screen tv and central ac?
Al: we have no desire to see the game twice, as WDoc suggested. Good luck.
hey, is it raining where you live? It’s been pouring Aloha Stadium area.
no you were supposed to record the game and not watch it till later that evening.
ack. is the game on Friday? Wonder if hubby can get 1/2 day off.
there you go…recording the game for later viewing would be perfect.
get this. Hubby wants to buy the 80 inch Sharp at Costco. He’s nuts. I told him it would block the art work on the wall. Ongoing argument between us.
let him have it. his eyes are going bad, give him some kind of relief.
soon you will enjoy the size too.
gigi — you remember your 46″ vs 52″ Bravia debate? Something to do with a wall in the way… 🙂
You have other walls for artwork…but only one spot for the 80 incher, right?
…and the wall’s not an issue anymore. 🙄
Go hubby!!!
say, if you get that 80 incher, may i have your old 52?
Al — if you get gigi’s 52″, can I have your 46″ 😛
he is also debating whether to get a 3-D TV.
but you guys are right. he spends a lot of time watching sports, reality shows, and netflix. He works so hard at the office. He deserves a treat.
and here’s the kicker: it’s his money!
Just to clarify, the coupons that came with the football season tickets are for Wahine basketball OR Warrior volleyball, not basketball.
isn’t there a rule as to size of TV vs distance from the sofa?
SteveM, you’ve sat on our love seat. It is closer to the TV than the sofa is.
Do you think 80 incher is too big for the love seat viewing?
Hello……..
Aloha, Liz.
gigi — I think the sofa is further away, depending on which end you sit.
The loveseat is not too close… in fact, I thought the 52″ was adequate, but smallish. 🙄
knowing him, he will probably buy it.
i really don’t like 3-D, though. hate wearing those glasses.
I’ll peek in later. Gotta continue “packing”.
15 day trip with cruise.
Sheesh…1 night for updating OTC meds pack and handcarry
1 night for assembling various vitamins and prescription meds/supplies
1 night refilling/replacing toilet kit items
1 night ironing — hey, happens biannually…
whatever happened to “throw all my stuff in a suitcase” 3 hours before the flight…?
Have a great time, SteveM.
I believe that the end of the year luau is a great place for an end of the year cattle call.
stevem…no 46″ at our home.
size may not matter, but that doesn’t mean I’m not envious of the guy who has an 80″ TV
yah donny boy…a tsaiko table would be cool.
we could collect some kala from all known and unknown tsaiko’s for our own tsaiko of the year award. that would be cool.
donate a koa bowl or something like that, maybe a mini koa surfboard trophy like keepsake.
the award could go not to the most psycho of warriors but something that is missing from our awards category. i’d give it to the warrior who performed the most hours of community service along with a grant or scholarship type of gift to be used post grad.
we have tsai appoint a tsaiko panel to receive nominations and finally to come up with three finalists.
third place: ten rainbow drive inn mixed plate gravy all overs with a koa take out box.
second place: ten rainbow mix plates, four luau tickets, and their own koa poi bowl and chopsticks.
first place; $1000 post grad scholarship and a koa tsaiko engraved surfboard with the likeness of tommy kaulukukui riding the board with a heisman pose.
we can do this!!!
…nuff said.
kev-1…tell you what i’ll give you the 52″ bravia that i get passed down from gg.
well, the 80 inch Sharp is on special for $3899 — reg price is $4499.
Costco.
clarity: excellent screen.
you should buy it, Al. You’re rich.
Aloha Liz
I like the helpful information you supply for your articles. I will bookmark your blog and check again right here frequently. I am moderately certain I’ll be told a lot of new stuff proper here! Best of luck for the next!
my name is al
rich lives in orange county or was it hollywood?
gg…i may be rich but not materialistically.
wow, awesome blog post.Really looking forward to read more. Fantastic.
i wonder how many “huh?” there are on this blog.
i heard as many as 4-5 of those identities live on this blog.
stevem…has fallen asleep on his keyboard once again either that or he is speechless.
speechless…
so stevem…i’ve run into yet three more classmates who were unaware of the recent class reunion. perhaps they were on the dead list like me.
hmmm
200
gigi,
I think for that price you can 3 – 46″ or 2 – 52″ flat screens, then you can have 3 walls covered for hubby, you, and Julia.
OK, I have a “after 2100 Ask the Blog” question…
I use Old Spice (shhhhh, homey!)
The small plastic travel bottles in my kit is very old.
Does anyone know where I can buy a new travel set (2.5 oz bottles)?
…in the next 2 days,
I used to see them as Christmas present sets, but not recently.
or you could get the top of line samsung 65 incher w/3d for a few hundred less.
then again samsung also has the 75 inch $9k w/3d with all of the bells and whistles with the highest rated natural colors.
these two are the ones all the service techs hate because it may reduce them to part time status.
#163 AL – what stuff?
If it was about TV, I wouldn’t mind getting a 23″ set to replace our 21″ set in the out bedroom but Lois says something about bad fung tsui.
The living room can’t take 48″, let along AL’s 46″, so I guess it can go to SteveM if GIGI gives AL the 52″!
do they still sell old spice?
Sean #201 – or they could watch three football games at the same time!
stevem…go to those fragrance shops at waikele. they may have and sometimes ross’ carries those older fragrances.
or you could go to macy’s and get an upgrade?
tommui…i’ve noticed how you spelled feng shui. but, i won’t dispute it since you are the pake’.
And the winner is:
RS Awakuni.
Please contact Stephen Tsai to arrange to get your ticket!
Nitey Nite… GO WARRIORS !!
tommui…you aren’t following the bouncing ball.
the maui wowee that was mentioned a couple of post before 163.
btw, i’ve been yearning for a teddy’s pastrami cheeseburger combo with large fries and a thick, a really thick chocolate shake.
SteveM: hubby bought those small plastic bottles at Kmart last year. You can also try Target.
This month’s HECO bill was $424. If we got the 80 incher, would that jack up the bill?
wonder how my 2 yr old grandson would react to bigger cartoons.
so many things are calling for our money:
helicopter ride
horseback riding
skydive lessons
trip to Russia
new 80 inch TV
Can’t have it all.
Who were the three?
OK, here’s why I knew. By some non-coincidence, a 45th reunion sub-committee comprised of ex-yearbook and Daily Pinion editor types were designing the Announcement Flyer. Shiu drew me in since I knew most of them, and I saw the finished draft. I noted the time, date and cost but did not write it down…. actually I wanted something more exciting…like a cruise or neighbor island stay.
I do not recall it being sent the flyer from the usual reunion committee, of which Shiu is a key member. Anyway, I forgot about it and when I checked the draft again, it was a week past. 🙁
…and I only found out last year that the McKinley reunion committee used to hold their Karaoke events at Club Genji, until their numbers outgrew the place. Small world.
i am sure your heco bill will go up some.
the bigger “engine” requires more juice and you will find yourselves watching a lot more often.
you better go call haleakala solar for a free estimate…psst. tell em al sent you (wink, wink).
stevem…you can meet them this sunday if you like. they’ll be there.
gg…didn’t you guys do an rm?
For the RHS 45th reunion last Saturday, only 92 people showed up.
Previous one had over 200.
Cost was $60 plus $5 for the group photo. Maybe the economy prevented more people from attending it at the Hale Koa.
Excellent buffet: prime rib, crab, fish, etc.
yup we did do a reverse mortgage last year.
well that’s one way to enjoy life.
maybe there’s more and more alumni whose pictures were on that poster board.
92 is still high numbers. i hear that way less than that attend ours inspite of having graduated 714 that year.
Tommui — how did you know I have a 32″ Bravia in my computer room? I was going to throw it in the hand-me-down chain if Al still had his 46″… 😐
K-Mart and Target, huh? Mahalo
gigi– your electric bill will probably drop since the newer model is probably more energy efficient! 👿
gigi- You need to make a combo pack:
Skydive out of a helicopter over Russia and ride a horse back to your hotel. Video tape your trip so you can watch it on a brand new 24″ TV when you get back home.
24″?
Yup! 24″!
Here’s where the savings kicks in-
Buy a pair of Coke Bottle glasses for you and hubby they’ll make your new 24″er look like an iMax theater!
Just gotta be creative. You can have it all! =)
…and if you like to go on a safari…you can go on a horse with no name, you know the one famous for traversing the desert.
ajoe…how you bull?
and how’s the bull tamer doing?
…takes a graphic artist to come up with something imaginative.
i tell you no lie stevem…i no more one 46″.
i do have a fairly new condition sony trinitron crt 36 incher in my garage that weighs 246 lbs. i got it at a fire sale for $25 last year. its hd compared to the old one i had.
buggah get stereo built in too.
so… do all you guys plan to keep working until you die or do you plan to retire soon?
hubby likes to work, but the bosses can be stressful.
I value the blog. Keep writing.
Nothing like having gigi-hawaii and hubby deciding on a new TV to INCREASE the comment count here…
…just like old times…one 52″ Bravia TV set age ago… 🙂
Great, thanks for sharing this post.Much thanks again. Much obliged.
we bought the 52 incher in 2007. still in excellent condition.
Congrats RS Awakuni, enjoy the game! Thank you Liz Kauai for the excitement.
GO WARRIORS!!
Dozing at the keyboard again…
Good night everyone!
yeah, me too. G’nite, all.
Gigi – Thanks for the info about the BYU ESPN broadcast.
BTW – why don’t you invest in solar/photovoltaic while the tax credits are still available. Furthermore, you’ll reduce your HECO bill by as much as 75% which will pay off the installation in about 5 years.
You should also check on ways to reduce your power usage – differentiate between need and want such as fans vs air conditioning, line-drying vs. dryer – plus replacing the stove, refrigerator, hot water heater, washing machine etc., with Energy Star products. For more information, click http://www.energystar.gov/
We have absolutely no space in our house for a tv set larger than 25″ which is why we like going to sports bars and great restaurants like Murphy’s, Pinky’s, Giovanni Pastrami.
On a somewhat related note, it seems that Club Genji got into some trouble with the Liquor Commission since it is listed (#16) under the Adoption of Decision & Order section in this week’s agenda. No details in the notice, but I’m sure that the files are open to the public.
heeheehehee, gigi, da bullette is doin fine. She can’t wait for Saturday to see everyone.

Regarding the times and dates of specific flights, air carriers generally cost higher airfares with regard to flights throughout peak intervals such as summer break and week-ends.
It’s the first time when i’ve seen your site. I can gather a lot of hard work has gone in to it. It’s really good.

I am now not sure the place you’re getting your information, however good topic. I needs to spend a while finding out much more or understanding more. Thanks for fantastic info I was searching for this info for my mission.
Gotta agree with earlier posts. With the exception of our venerable host, SA slacking on Warrior coverage leading up to the opener. With monopoly power comes responsibilities.

If it was about TV, I wouldn’t mind getting a 23″ set to replace our 21″ set in the out bedroom but Lois says something about bad fung tsui.
A-House,
You are welcome to my tickets. I don’t tailgate with the group so I will try and get them to you another way.

Morning folks!
Didn’t McKnight leave SMU for some coaching gig in Canada?
For those outside of da islands, the Lamar game can be seen streamed via OC16 website for $12.56. The site also provides a schedule of other games (not just football) that will be streamed. I was dissapointed that the Nevada game is not on the list.

Good morning, gang!
SPAM with my granola this morning… sheesh…
Congrats to da winnah of da ticket!
Yup, those non-F discussions increase the comments here.
gigi, yes, you should contact Haleakala Solar for PV before the solar credits are reduced. 😉 Don’t wait too long. People tend to wait until the end of the year for the tax credit benefit & then it’s too late to get the system installed. Takes a while to get a permit from DPP.
K… gotta hi ho at the business mentioned above…
Never forget.
I do not even know how I stopped up here, but I assumed this put up used to be good. I do not realize who you might be but definitely you are going to a famous blogger in case you are not already. Cheers!
I loved your blog.Much thanks again. Great.
Moment of silence on da blog for remembrance. Never forget…

Happy belated birthday, BeeegHeeelo!!! Hope was good fun!
For us, no need big tv… cost too much, and the whole place has to be rearranged. Mo’ cheap to buy new glasses, instead of making da screen mo’ big.
Hope those solar credits don’t go away anytime soon. Need to be available when we move back home.
Good morning Tsaikos.. wooosh…..a
