Large turnout at workout
About 80 Warriors participated in today’s 11-on-11 drills at the Ching Athletic Complex field. One of the spectators was former UH defensive end Travis LaBoy, now with the San Francisco 49ers:
* * * * *
Also attending was former graduate assistant coach Mike Smith, now a defensive assistant with the New York Jets. Here’s Smith with safety Spencer Smith:

Here’s llinebacker Pookela Ahmad with the interception return:

Bryant Moniz launches a pass:

The kickers came with a unique drill. With the tee on the end line, they try to strike one of the goal posts.
Here’s freshman Tyler Hadden:
And Scott Enos:

Thanks to Stretch (and thanks to our readers), we have a $25 RainBowTique certificate to give away. To enter, please post: I’m ready for football.
Avis will select a winner tonight.
First, bitches!!!
😉
Great pics, Tsai!
Dang DPK….da language…sheesh….LOL
Wow…top 5…woo hoo
I’m gonna post this everyday until we face USC:
GO WARRIORS!!!
BEAT THE TROJANS!!!
So do they go full contact during these workouts? It sure looks like it!
.. starting to look good – keep working !
top ten?
Good to hear about the 80 Warriors participating in the 11-on-11 drills.
Nice photos–the kicker drill is not something I’ve heard of before but it makes sense.
I love that pic of Travis. Hubby knows his father (?) at work, Cliff LaBoy.
Great to see pics on the blog, ST.
It was fun hanging out at practice. Nice walkabout this morning.
SLUGGER,
Pls email me at
glendahinchey at yahoo.com.
Interesting to read how USC had just *1* compliance person during part of the time when Pete Carroll was their coach. No wonder some things were overlooked and they couldn’t monitor their players!
To put things in perspective, let us compare the number of people in the compliance departments of the Pac-10 schools:
Stanford: 7
Cal: 4
Arizona: 4
Arizona State: 4
Washington: 4
Washington State: 4
UCLA: 4
Oregon: 4
Oregon State: 3
USC: 1 (for part of the time in their past, other times they had 2)
USC: 8 (after they fill the 2 positions they have open now)
Nice pics.. good to hear that 80+ showed up today.. that’s a good turnout…
off topic…
Anybody remember The Candy Shop? Backstore? in McCully?
Check this out.. http://dabackstore.com/
while coaching punters, we would stand on one side line and try to punt it straight down the line, landing on the same side line or as close as possible.
#14 Garret, and UH 1?
papjoe2…
1 if she came back from vacation and isn’t on furlough.
papajoe2,
For much of that time UH had 2 compliance officers (plus 2 student workers), but for the past 2.5 years UH has had just 1 (no student workers). It is amazing to me that for a period of time UH might have had 2 compliance people while USC had just 1.
When you count in the furlough time, UH has had less than 1 full-time person in compliance.
I think the idea of hitting the second goal post is the bend-it-like-Beckham theory. Both kickers were able to hit the far upright.
… changing sport …
hustlin’ Gib Arnold on the road scouting; see article
“Arnold, staff back on road scouting
By Brian McInnis”
Good morning everyone!
ST — do we get a sneak preview of the commercial?
mih:
#16 – Is this the store that used to have Dixie cups of an ice pop that was a combination of syrup water & (I think) sweetened condensed milk? Wailoa & what was the cross street? There was a store near Pumehana that I used to stop at for those ice pops.
Nice turnout!
I’ve seen kickers work that drill trying to kick it between the uprights from the severe angle….not so sure about them making a habit of hitting the uprights!
Warriors Unite!
Warriors will puka da Trojan defense!
Go Warriors!
I’m ready for football.
I’m also almost ready for lunch…..
I’m ready for football.
If I win, please give the prize to Momo.
I’m ready for football! Warrior Football! It’s so good to see a lot participation. Keep up the good work boys!
Go Warriors!
i’m ready for football
I’m ready for football!
Yep, everyone is jones-ing. This time of year is the worst. The anticipation of the football season can be brutal.
Wonder is that Waiola burger mix is a dry or wet mix. Sounds good tho, better than Gigi’s spinich pattie sitting on a plate with a dollop of ketchup. 😉
I’m ready for a nap then, I’m ready for football!
Shoko,
haha.
What have you got against spinach? What did spinach ever do to you???
I’m ready for football!
I’m ready for football.
I’m ready for football!
I’m ready for football
Hi there!
Gigi,
Actually, I got nothing against spinich. 🙂 You have to admit tho, that picture didn’t do it justice. Should have thrown a fresh spinich leaf for show or a nice hibuscus from the garden. As my mom always said, “presentation is everything”.
I’m with d1島.
I’m ready for lunch!
I’m ready for football. Glad to see the large turnout at workouts. Good to see former Warriors checking out practice. Thanks for the pics ST.
Shoko,
poor t’ing. da spinach.
but, hey, I am eating one as we speak. Tastes ono.
Slugger,
I’m sure you meant that in a non-biblical sense! 😯 😆 😉
I’m ready for football.
I’m ready for football
Duffer – I’m ready for Sam Adams Utopias.
Waiola burger? You not talking about “Backstore”? The one with the best .25 hamburgers and suicide? Actually, before they closed it was up to .40 for the single, .25 for the extra burger.
Best deal for a dollar.
Nice pics ST – great shot capturing Pookela’s facial expression.
Helloooo Travis LaBoy! Go 49ers!
I’m ready for football.
d1島,
Dey ate spinach in biblical times? But what to eat fo’ lunch? If I went to Ka Lei eggs, it’s near Hale Vietnam. Hmmmm…
d1島,
At least, I’m not with child! bwahahahahahaha
I’m ready for football
Gee, I dunno about best 25 cents burger at Backstore..
There used to be a lunch wagon in the Halawa Housing tract just past the chain link gate behind Aiea Elementary when I as in the early 60’s. We all used to post watch and scramble out to get our burgers there whenever school lunch was “unacceptable.” Which was every other day… 😉 Was so ono… ah the good memories of the hanabata days, eh?
Then again, 50 cents for real buttered popcorn, a drink, and a movie at Queens Theater in Kaimuki was hard to beat in the 50’s, too. Don’t remember if that included a hotdog… so long ago…
I don’t think I had money in Waianae during the very early 60’s… cause I only remember hiking, hunting, owama fishing, swimming, picking mangoes, papaya, plucking chickens, diving for lobsters, crying after my pup got run over.. not once but quite a few times, throwing net for opelu and omaka, and.. oh yeah.. I remember now… shave ice across Pokai Bay!… So I guess I had a few pennies if I remember the Shave Ice there, eh?
and of course.. yes..
I’m ready for football!!
I’m ready for football
MADEINHAWAII – A group of individuals in Kaimuki have banded together to get the Queen Theatre restored. Read something about their efforts maybe three weeks ago in the SA.
Couldn’t sleep so i got up at 4 am and accomplished a huge amount of work. Stoked on coffee right now, but I’ll probably crash in an hour or so. However, what I was able to do once UH offices opened up was initiate some inquiries about grants & awards to UH and some accounting documents. Will let folks know what I find out.
Back to work.
I’m ready for football
It was quite organized. The offense was in gray, the defense in black.
I’M READY FOR FOOTBALL!
DPK- that is quite possibly the most classic #1 post I have ever seen on this blog.
Mahalo for all the photos ST. Good to see all those boys out there. 80 of them huh? Right on!!
BIK
Re: Laboy
Got to check out Kekaula’s 2-part interview with TLaboy.
While it’s good to see him get a second chance, I hope he no bachi himself by talking all that smack. He readily said that he has it out for a few people and would really like to “hurt” some of them. Trust me, I not even exaggerating on this one — bradduh was talkin’ a bunch of stuff on the news.
We all know that he has struggled with injuries throughout his career. I’m going to pull the Hawaii Style card on this one — Bradduh Travis…keep that stuff to yourself. Let your play do the talking. And most of all, stay healthy. You might never get another chance again.
BIK
Mack was on morning news and I think he said there was 90 players. I can’t remember if it was in summer school or just working out. He also said after 2 weeks into the fall camp we will know who the starting qb will be.
I’m ready for football
On Laboy i was thinking whoever took that picture was far away and used a zoom lens. I would have. or maybe it was “not you again”.
I’M READY FOR FOOTBALL!!
I’m ready for football! Mahalo ST and Stretch!
….will he remember to switch the name?
d1, I say no
I’m ready for football
😆
I’M ALWAYS READY FOR FOOTBALL !!!
ai-eee-soos,
Embellishments will not help your cause….
I’m ready for football!
i’m ready for football!
I’m ready for football
Why is Tyler Hadden’s foot not pointed toward the goal post like Scott’s foot? I am not an expert in field goal kicking, but in soccer you are taught to point your non-kicking foot where you want the ball to go.
Greg Salas was included in this list of the top 10 receivers for the 2010 season.
I’m ready for football!
I’m ready for football!
Wow…80 players in today’s drills. That’s what we want to see from the players. Good things will come from this.
I want to see our offense attack aggressively this year…starting with the Trojans. Make them scared.
It was quite the turnout.
It was Jackie, the student manager, who gave me the figures.

ai-eee-soos,
Embellishments will not help your cause….
… chee, i thot i could sneak that one in.
Our seats at Aloha Stadium are perfect for “conversations” with the opposing team. During last year’s visit by the dang Broncos, I “asked” a few players, including the kicker, what they do in Boise ALL year long. I “said”, its cold, there’s nothing around, and its BOISE. The kicker, being wise, said win. The OL, also “wise”, said work out. As he said this, he made the motion of homey’s workout regimen, the “12 oz curl”. I then replied, if I were you, I’d do the same thing.
for 100% offseason workout participation, I wonder if that means they can’t leave BOISE for 4 whole years. do they tell their recruits that? kiss your family & friends goodbye. no wonder there’s so many people that are hiding in the woods and hills that play with guns.
I’m ready for football!!
Salas should surpass Devone’s career numbers easily. Of course, thats provided he doesn’t get uh….you know, the ‘H-word’. How’s the O-line?
Afternoon DPK and all,
Speaking of Travis Laboy, I worked with Nohea Tano’s father while we were with the dept.
He used to tell me about this guy from utah st that his daughter was seeing and that he was transferring to UH. Look at him know…nfl …kids and all. Damn.
I’m ready for football.
GO WARRIORS.
Chawan,
They don’t Buck Futter up in Boise during the summer? 😆
Is U.H Head Coach and Their Staff all State of Hawaii Employee?
Do they have furlough?
Take a cut in pay?
I’m ready for football.
W-DOC,
WHAT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE HOUSE BILL IN WHICH IT STATES THE SPECIFIC INFORMATION FOR THAT FUNDS WERE TO BE APPROPRIATED TO UH MANOA ATHLETICS?
I’m ready for football.
I.m glad to see the boys are practicing hard.
Garret ur#78,
Sounds like a writer who is trying to discourage future recruits from going the UH route, but come time for the NFL draft, we’ll see how unnoticed worthy players from UH are.
I’m ready for football.
Speaking of Boise, if Kellen Moore has another outstanding season and finishes strong in the Heisman run, I wonder if he would consider leaving school early. Heisman-wise, he looks pretty solid; albeit he plays in the WAC.
Gotta pronounce it like they do down South.
It’s pronounced: “foobaww”
I’m ready for football!
Great to hear the 80 player turnout Stephen; can you report to us everyday how many show up?
Everyone–Nakoa needs our help to pay for the summer school classes; so our players can stay over the summer and practice; just like Boise St. does–they have become a top 5 or 10 team; doing it with just 3-star recruits. It must be because of these offseason workouts!
http://www.nakoa.org/
Shoko,
Yeah. The o-line’s the key. Gotta give the QB time to look around. Even Colt had a hard time when we couldn’t protect him from 4 rushing linemen in the Sugar Bowl. It’s pretty bad when the opponents only rush four and they’re pressuring the QB on almost every play. Can’t have that.
kazz,
you should sit down by us and “converse” with the players. its fun.
i was also “chatting” with UW’s Alvarez at the last game in regards to his head coach’s lack of sportsmanship by running up the score on us late in the 4th.
he agreed.
I’m ready for football.
oh, and AD Alvarez loves coming to hawaii, so he said that they’d try to continue the trips out here. hope he’s in “real” conversations with JD about that.
oh, forgot,
I’m ready for football.
Curt,
Yep, Warriors O-line was overpowered by the Georgia D-line. Marcus Howard had Colt running all over the place.
I’m ready for football.
Chawan,
What did Alvarez think of Wisconsin’s kickers booting footballs into the student section and then crying to HPD about the Manoa Maniacs keeping the balls.
Im so damn sick of other team’s kickers coming out when the marching band is on the field trying to perform and then kicking balls towards them as they leave to go get undressed in the big North end zone tunnel.
I’m waiting for some guy or girl with flute to just run up there and turn an opposing kicker into a human lollipop.
I’m ready for a riot.
According to “The Waterboy’s” mama, it’s called foozbaww.
I’m ready for football
#91 – I think Mack took a voluntary pay cut in response to the State worker furlough (and to show contrition for his Notre Dame comments at last year’s WAC football conf). I remember one of the sports reporters asking Dave Shoji about paycuts and furloughs… Dave answered something like he would consider a voluntary pay cut, but was waiting for info from the UHAD as to the impact to UH. Remember the UH Professional Assembly (Union) went to court over the plan to cut salary (and/or furlough) last year.
homey…yeah…and alligators are ornery because they got all dem teeth and no toothbrush…although everyone knows it’s because of their large “Medully Oblongaaaata”…LMAO
I’m amazed, cc tried comedy.
(J)J – Now I’m amazed at that recollection!
Kazz – You still work out with gigi’s hubby?
I’m ready for football. I’m ready for a season in which the Warriors will shock the nation and all these so called experts!!! Let’s go, Warriors!!!
OTTO,
Didn’t that voluntary paycut go to UH’s LGBA support group to educate about the Gay issues? Only reason I ask is that I remember on the HA comment board, a few people were complaining why it had to go to a specific group and not back into the general fund.
kazz,
i did not know that was happening. or we would’ve “conversed” even more. i remember the notre dame kicker doing that last HB and they didn’t return the balls either. the cops didn’t do anything. it was funny to see the ND kicker and team trainers get all habut with no one helping them.
and you don’t have to tell me about the other team interfering with halftime, we let them know about it.
you should really come by to visit us. Stretch too. even ST has heard me “conversing”.
#77, Rage 777, maybe that’s why Enos was so inconsistent. Nail the basics in your head and if you are in a slump, easy to go back to the basics.
homey,
how’d i do?
I can just see cc conversing with his mean face…on second thought, I can’t picture it.
I can’t wait for the first tailgate.
#77, I don’t know how Enos’ kick went on that one in the picture but it looks like he pulls it because his foot is facing to the right and he is trying to kick down the middle.
cc – You are a riot. You should make a DVD.
homey…
Ah is that what it was? Comedy?
you should see me at basketball games. a lot louder conversing with the refs and other teams there.
Chawan,
Oh you would have seen your BP rise!!!
When Wisconsin’s kicker realized he was in the way of the marching band, he decided to kick sideline to sideline and all the balls were pelting fans, mostly students. DRUNK and angry students… 😈
After several balls weren’t returned, a Wisconsin trainer actually ran and jumped the wall and climbed into the student section attempting to get the balls back, some people shoved him around like a ***** and when he jumped back down he cried to HPD that the balls werent being given back and in a classic moment the three officers there motioned that they shouldn’t be kicking them in that direction in the first place.
Im amazed that trainer wasn’t beaten within and inch of his life. He should consider that a gift of “aloha”.
(Ok NOW, I am really missing football!!!!!!!)
why would I come visit you?? I have my own conversations going on.
Chawan,
Was watching the replay of the Wahine bball game against BSU last season. Man I had some fun at those games last season and looking for more this season!!!!!!
ummmm, the pictures of the kickers are just a moment in time. Different follow-thrus, different angle of approaches to the ball, slight differences in techniques…
Stretch is busy conversing with opposing coaches.
I wonder if they permanently sealed off that portion of the box window yet? 😆
Hi!
“I’m ready for football.”
Kazz – if they did, the coaches would suffocate. There is no AC in the pressbox. I’ve had to tone it down a little so I don’t get anymore “scoldings”. Also, it’s more fun when we are winning the game.
cc – Converse with koakane at the game, he’s a good listener.
But only when the NFA is not around!
Homey #134…Nahhhh…KK is too busy telling me to shoot him…and then run him over like 43 times…..LMFAO
I’m ready for football.
!!!
when he is not passed out
Kazz: HB2200 – it’s huge – well over 200 pages long. You have to input using the FIND function to get to specifc projects because they are cited in different parts of the bill. or you can scroll through them.

Some did and some did not – call the Department of Athletics for the list.
~80 Warriors practicing on their own. That is a good thing to hear!
Stretch #138….Tru dat..
I’m ready for football!
That song, “Are you ready for some football!?!”, is going to be rattling around in my brain all day…
I’m ready for football.
… now that lunch hour is over.
Hi, JaM!
What can you buy at the RainbowTique, and where is it located?
(J)J –
Do you think its wise to talk about shooting someone while homey has all those guns on the blog?
Howzit ballpicker-
You aren’t with the Department anymore?
Koakane’s looking forward to listening to you at the tail gates. They say he’s a good listener.
He’s looking forward to catching up with you.
DPK,
I think they look like 2 anteaters: A Papa-anteater and a Baby-anteater.
Cuuuuute!
Hey Liz –
Where ya been girl?!
gigi –
That’s what he wants you to think…
Liz has been to India and back.
A-House says they are rifles, not guns. Ah, well, who really knows what is in Homey’s mind these days.
Google Rainbowtique.
I sent email to Homey, jm2375, and Chawan. Thanks, SteveM.
Rifles are guns…

Brennan, a fan favorite due to his record-breaking career at Hawaii and for some late heroics during some preseason games as a rookie two years ago, will battle it out with Bartel for the third QB slot. Brennan has said that he is much more comfortable both in the new offensive system and in what the new coaches want out of him. Unlike Zorn, they are not micromanaging his footwork or his throwing motion.
Pride, Slugger, Stephen, etc. Sorry to miss you all during my frantic trip.
i’m ready for footsies err…ohh…ahh…oops, wrong blog. soweee!
bwhahahahahahaha.
reference Scott Enos trying to hit the goal post from the sideline.
azngamer808 learned that at the Ray Guy kicking camp to aim at the goal post
from the endzone line corner, then the goal line & sideline intersection, 5 yard line &
sideline etc… This drill helped Nicholas become automatic from 40 yards.
they asked if we knew Ayat, and we told them we knew he was on UH team.
Camp coaches said he had a powerful leg but not coachable. Didn’t know why
he even bothered to be there.
I’m ready for football.
Peter Kim from Yummys & Liliha Bakery helped Nicholas increase his range another 15 yards by changing his leg swing
Like you said Bulla, to God is the Glory!
chopsueyboy,
sent you email…

I’m ready for football.
Why do people post here that they sent someone an e-mail. My software automatically downloads e-mail sent to me every ten minutes – do most people’s e-mail programs require specific instructions to download?
Re-LeBron James
I say he stays put in Cleveland. The announcement comes tomorrow.
Would a person put his hometown team, fans, playmates and friends in Cleveland through the agony of a televised special tomorrow, only to announce that he’s going elsewhere? I wouldn’t think so.
Personally, I hope LeBron doesn’t use this big production of where he’s going only to break the Clevelander’s hearts. I think he would want to show class. Also it doesn’t make sense to slow roll your homies.
That is why I think he’s staying.
WDoc,
Sometimes, the email address is one they seldom check. I have just one email address, but some people have 2 or more.
i’m ready for football.
stretch, kazz,
you are right. we fight our own battles, i mean conversations. to each his own.
as long as we do our part to distract, i mean keep our visitors occupied and welcome them to OUR HOUSE.
Bravo to all!!!
It is so good to see the Warrior Aloha Spirit kicking and screaming!
Of course it’s great to see eighty players out on the field working out in the mornings. There’s no doubt that the preparation and practices are good or the team. But more importantly than anything else, having eighty guys on the field shows us that there is real leadership on this team. Every season is a new season, and with each season the team takes on a new personality. The success of each individual season depends in large part to the veteran leadership on that team. The success of these summer workouts are indicative of the leadeship and personality of this fall’s team.
I’m ready for football.
I’m ready for football!
I’m ready for football…and especially the tailgating…
Have a good evening everybody.
I’m ready for football.

Top 200? 😀
I’m ready for football.
For those of you who haven’t experienced Stretch and A-joe’s “conversations” at the Warrior vb games, please come join us next season. Stretch has some really great visual aids. 😆
Will the whiteboard be allowed in no-Aloha this season?
Hi SailorBlue! Thanks for reserving the T-gate locations!
I scared everybody away again. *sniffle sniffle*
I’m ready for football.
I am ready for football….Good to see so many at practaicer…Hello to you all…momo
Viva Espana!!
I’m ready for football.
It is too bad that Tennessee doesn’t want a high-profile season opener in 2011. With USC’s loss of vet players to transfers and the recruiting limitations, I would think that Tennessee would want a chance to face USC. Maybe they want USC’s upperclassmen to graduate and face USC after their limited recruiting classes have to be relied on.
jm2375,
did you check your email?
I’m ready for football
How does Avis select the winner? Does she cut the entries and pick a winning piece of paper?
,,,or, maybe Tennessee’s schedule is filled for 2011?
they’re probably still really angry at (both) Mr. Kiffin and don’t want to be the one to accept his offer. they want to be the ones dictating the stipulations. probably that and he’d be on a hit list by more than a few “Volunteers”…
man, i’m on a roll today.
CC,
what a devious way to look at it. Your mind is working over-time. LOL
I tend to look at things at face value. Maybe, that’s why I am considered naive.
wonder what homey (and his guns) will think of that one….
or this one!
I’m ready for football.

Is the University Coaching Staff consider Teacher or Professor. With the amount of money
the Coaches get paid I cannot see why All University and State Legislature don’t go after

ST,
When are you going to start the interview videos again? With Leila gone, do you have someone to take her place?
You know, in all the years you’ve been doing these interview videos, I never bothered to watch. Mainly because it looked too complicated.
I am technologically challenged.
I’m ready for football.
Wonderful news today on multiple fronts!
NYUH,
Hope you had a great time at the East-West celebrations. You’ll have to give us some first-hand updates on the J-E-T-S.
I’m ready for football.
I’m ready for football!
I’m ready for football.
roysan16,
if Lebron leaves it would be a kick in the oloz for Cleveland fans and his hometown. He would definitely become the bastard child. I don’t know why they hype him up so much, Kobe Bryant is still the best player in the NBA hands down! Lebron is gifted but I don’t think he is even second best either. When Kobe retires, watch out for Kevin Durant to rule the league. Anyway, until Lebron starts winning a few NBA championships he should not be considered with the likes of Jordan or Kobe or even Dwayne Wade for that matter. To me some of these NBA players are prima-donnas and only care about money, this is what has made the NBA become more and more crappy. Now its more about trying to stack the crap out of a team to win a championship, sad…
ST and other J-E-T-S fans – Jets are the team that gets the treatment this year on HBO’s “Hard Knocks”. Training camp series. I think last year was the Cowgirls.
http://www.hbo.com/#/hard-knocks
😳 Cowgirls was in 2008. Last year featured the Cincy kittens.
Travis Laboy is still a beast and now that he gets a chance to play with Issak Sopoaga again under Coach Singletary, shute it doesnt get any better than that. We all know our Warrior players are physical and thats the only way Coach Singletary knows how to play, physical smashmouth football!
So the question is, does Bryant Moniz reclaim his spot as the starting quarterback? To me the answer would be yes, only because he has the game time experience already and seems to be more comfortable in the huddle than the other QB’s. I think Rausch should maybe have switched schools for playing time, I’m not too high on Austin although people feel otherwise, Graves seems like the next great QB in the works, Cory should maybe consider switching positions cause I think he’ll get shoved more down on the depth chart with Kevin Spain coming in, Shutter is also a work in progress and could be solid later on. Dunno, I think Moniz gives us the best chance right now to win but I also wouldn’t mind seeing Graves as a 4yr. starter either, I think he got the “It” factor.
PB,
From what I saw of Kevin Spain, he’s another one I’d watch.
I’m ready for football.

In this video Chad Owens and his special teams coach go over his long punt return in last weeks game. (released on the Toronto’s official site 7/6).
The last 6 yards of the run was amazing. Vintage Owens.Determined. Strong willed. All heart. Very reminiscent of what Hawaii fans use to see when he played for the Warriors.
A quote from Owens, “Towards the end of the run I stiff armed the defender, and it was like riding a wave in.”
From the video one can see that Owens looks happy. It great to see that his juices are flowing and his dream of playing football is still alive.
Next up for Owens-
Toronto at Winnipeg
July 9 – 8:00 PM ET
Bruddah Chad should be back in the league no doubt about it…always a big play waiting to happen when he’s got the ball in his hands…
Capitol -ist/WassupDoc:
I’m still not getting it. Were you saying in yesterdays thread that the employees of the athletic department like the secretary’s, coaches and support staff are paid for by our tax dollars? I was under the impression that the revenues from tickets sales, TV, donations etc. were paying for these things.
Typing from my brother’s Sprint EVO which is essentially like the VZW Droid X and this is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gigi:
I have seven different personal, business & professional e-mail addresses – and they all get downloaded autormatically. That’s my original question – what e-mail programs being used today don’t do that.
WDoc,
All I know is that some of my blogger friends use gmail to capture comments on their blog. They almost never check this gmail address.
But, they usually check their other personal email account that attracts email from their family or close friends.
That’s what I meant.
Just looked at the Wahine schedule. The last tournament before WAC play is called “Honolulu Advertiser Volleyball Challenge”. 😀
Very informative blog article.Really thank you! Keep writing.
I’m ready for football and also nite nite
See all tomorrow
Interesting, I am curious what the statistics are on your first point there…
I’m ready for football.
Shoko on # 106,
To say “UH’s O-Line was overpowered” isn’t saying the whole story. Coaches admitted that Colt was hanging on to the ball too long, trying to make the big play. What was revealed much later & not on the front pages of sports media was that the Officiating crew was reprimanded/chastised for failing to make off-sides / encroachment calls against the Georgia team. I’m talking about a “crew” here and not just one referee. They were not allowed to officiate for some small portion of time; a veritable slap on the wrist. Had they made calls on the up-and-up & if Colt had stuck to the game plan, the score may not have been as disparate. They also could’ve brought in Tyler Graunke earlier. When they brought him in, he went right down the field and made it look easy, which made the developments the following year all the more disappointing as I expected Tyler to pick up where Colt left off. I’m not saying those officials were directly paid off to “fix” the game – they may have just been protecting their own; making sure that an SEC team wasn’t embarrassed on national TV in their own backyard. I heard about this weeks, if not months, after the game. Had this been brought out the following DAY, we wouldn’t have had to listen to all that crap about how non-BCS teams can’t compete and will always be out-classed, etc.
papajoe2 – re: Enos
Enos was inconsistent all of Last year; agreed. This year during Spring practice, he was “money” – he did not look like the same player. If he kicked like that last year, we would’ve won at least one and maybe 2 more games. With Hadden (Haddon?) & Niiro to push him, I think our kicking game is in much better shape than last year along with a more experienced Dunnachie.
Great Morning All!
Mahalo to Travis Laboy for his “giving back” at UW’s yesterday. Best of luck to him this upcoming season with the Niners!
ESPN -LeBron James Sports Flash http://espnnn.com
Good Morning Tsaikos! Its a beautiful day here in the inland northwest…finally summer is here. Hope everyone has a good one today.
Gooood morning! Although it’s a Thursday, it sure feels like Friday. Guess it would be if I took the day off tomorrow.
Mahalo Protector.
Can’t disagree with your assessment that “Colt was hanging on to the ball too long”, but when the Georgia secondary is ‘white’ and Bess, Rivers, Hawthorne and Grice-Mullen is the ‘rice’, kind of hard to get the pass off when you have Howard, Curran, Miller and Battle blitzing like they were invading Poland.
As far as officiating, I’ll have to research this article and watch the game again. There isn’t a game I’ve seen that off-side or encroachment fails to be called. Nonetheless, I’ll watch the game again. Gives me something to watch this weekend, while I patiently await the start of the football season. Hmm, maybe I should take the day off tomorrow. 🙂
Haven’t seen a replay of the Sugar Bowl, but what I can say is that if you have two defensive ends who run 4.5 or 4.4 40’s, exploding upfield at the snap of the ball, with no run responsibilties, it may look like they were offsides. Maybe they were. maybe the weren’t offsides. But I can see where the perception that they are offsides can come from. May have been just a perception.

hey, Whats up guys. I ran into this web address for nudism. It is a brand new place to look at many diverse kinds of nude teens, kids, parents that live their lives together in a nudist community. Can anybody advise me if indeed it is a great cite to go to or if it’s just another scam. I thought it was great cause none of the torrent sites own anything like this.
That is some inspirational stuff. Never knew that opinions could be this varied. Thanks for all the enthusiasm to offer such helpful information here.
Do you think blogging just has to be about writing? Reason I ask is I want to start a photography blog, but I feel I am better at expressing myself with photos rather than write. Should I even start it? With your experience could it work, more pictures, less words?
I have been buying all my pet supplies online for years. It’s almost always cheaper as long as you can get free shipping which is always possible with different promotions. you can use this link to get free shppping from Entirely Pets right now which has pretty much everything you could ask for – http://bit.ly/chrYNT
Thank you, enjoyed the reading. Diabete
Thank you for the write-up! I still see these TV shows to date, and I never get tired of them, great shows.
Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!

Some surfers just don’t get it, like my nephew who couldn’t understand the actual meaning of this line on your post “… return:* * * * * *Bryant Moniz launches a pass:* * * * *Other plays:* * * * *The kickers came with a …” it causes me to feel more intelligent after understanding it.

Interesting…and I agree with all of it. Keep up the excellent work…I will certainly be back shortly
Yes, I liked that. So was my mate. He said he definitely intends to check it out tomorrow. We will return before you can say anything.
All very true, but I don’t take that view myself. I will go along with the more traditional view. But I definitely support your right to say it. Interesting anyway.
