tommui, I had a dream last night that I needed to get in touch with you. My daughter is on Maui visiting with her 2 friends from the mainland. One of their boyfriends is renting a mansion there so I know he has money. Since my daughter’s friend (with the wealthy bf) said that when she comes to Oahu she would be taking us our to dinner, here’s the dream part: When we went to dinner found out the the bf is the guy that bought Lanai. I talked with him about a tax write off that he could have by donating to UH Athletics. He was very interested and said it would be like owning his own team and asked how he could do it. I told him I had a friend (you) that could arrange things since he does it all the time. He said OK. I then woke up cuz I had to pee. Oh well, not to be. It was just a dream. LOL

Gang, don’t make too much out of the lopsidedness (is that a word?) of yesterdays game. Simply put, Alabama’s offensive line was a lot better than ND’s defensive line. Does that make Manti any less of a player? just watch where he is drafted. The pro scouts understand what happened yesterday.

From what I seen yesterday, in the trenches is where Bama dominated the Irish. Offensive Line was abusing Notre Dames Defensive Line and getting to the second level. The running back had so much room to work and gain yards. On the other side Jesse Williams and the Bama Defensive Line was man-handling the Irish front and making Golson run for his life. This is where the focus should be for UH too. If our lineman on both sides of the ball can dominate it doesn’t matter who’s behind them cause they make the game that much easier for everyone. The DLine looks healthy if everyone commits and returns healthy but the offensive line scares me with only Griffin and Wa’a saying yes…

She is a graduate of Auburn – or so I read – and am told by my wife that the girl has known the QB for only about a month or so.

Although there where many factors that led to Notre Dame getting blown out by Alabama. I think the trenches was the biggest factor for sure. Another thing was Nick Saban dicsiplinary, hard, yelling, perfectionist style of coaching kept the players sharp. While Brian Kelly has been to a BCS bowl or 2, it was his first time in the big one and the 44 days off and the he didn’t have them as sharp as Nick Saban did. I mean the tackling was no where to be found for Notre Dame. Alabama had 37 days off but the coaching made all the difference, the gameplan was executed flawlessly. I have a feeling that Norm Chow hard nose, style of coaching should help Hawaii get to the top of the MWC. Plus, the Warriors need some Florida players to bring more speed to the team while the local/Poly players bring the toughness/strength to balance out the roster.

I wonder if Brandon Doman has applied for the OC position?

Looks like the coaching changes aren’t finished yet San Diego Chargers have ask permission to talk to Jim Mora Jr at UCLA….
