Increased strength
The Warriors have received permission to hire a strength/conditioning coach.
The past three years, Tommy Heffernan, who oversees the strength/conditioning programs for all of the UH teams, has worked with football. UH has two full-time S/C coaches, the fewest among Mountain West schools. Adding another coach would help the Warriors and the overall athletic department.

Former UH long-snapper Luke Ingram has had a solid few days at the NFL Scouting Combine.
He ran the 40-yard dash in 5.05 seconds and bench pressed 225 pounds 24 times.

I’m glad to see that UH is doing something that will benefit all of the programs…Now if they can only improve the weight room, locker rooms, and practice facilities. When is Ching field being completed?
It appears they are doing the outer part of Ching, such as building a structure on the mauka side. It’s hard to tell. There are more detours than workers.
Beeman has an S/C coach on her staff.
He’s part-time, though.
This will be a full-time hire.

We can bring our dog to Hawaii. But lots of hoops and cost to bring her. She’s going to be a service dog. We are training her to sniff cancer in people. This breed has a keen sense of smell. She starts her classes in two more weeks.

The wahine BB team has a huge game today against Cal Poly which sits just below them in the conference standings. If Cal Poly wins they could move up to 2nd dropping us to 3rd. We are currently in a tie with Pacific for 1st. All teams mentioned have 4 conference losses. It is a very tight race with 4-5 games left for the BW teams. We need to capture at the least 2nd place to put us in a favorable positon come tourney time. 3 of the 4 conference losses by the wahine have come on the road. After todays game the wahine will finish out their season with 3 home games.
The wahine BB team will be on Big West TV. They play at 2PM Hawaii time.

He and the Missus are stereotype breakers. They can fit in anywhere because of the super wonderful people they are…like many of the Tsaikos! They compliment each other like “wine and cheese”…a little joke for those that know their proclivities!
Just as impressive to see Mrs SB’s daughter there…a major in her dress uni…thanking her for her service too…service runs deep in that family.
Looking forward to the Wahine bb game. Pick it up on the laptop and then plug it in to the flat screen. Quality isn’t great, but I don’t complain…still can remember when tv was grainy black and white!

Yes, she’s front row. It was a cancer dog smelling that was used when my husband was first diagnosed several years ago and they could not find the cancer. They finally found it in his bladder. Today he’s cancer free. Thank the Lord the dog was brought in. When he had one of his surgeries the big boy carried his weak Uncle in the house. I’ll never forget that day three years ago.
