3prong, Bruddha already laid down one sawbuck for us…. If we win, I already contacted the Cats President, via your very very large gift to your alma mater, and they are changing Maxwell Field to 3 prong stadium, and changing the name of Nichloson Library to ” da place dat 3prong only went to twice while he was here library”.

Princeton needs to go down today!!!!!

  14. ArcumFortis November 15, 2014 9:24 am

Went to the men’s BB game last night. I am not sure how the team will do this year but I will say they played very hard, ran the court like mad and were a lot of fun to watch.

Common Norm, take a lesson from Benji and turn your team loose. Let’s have some excitement and some dynamism. As painful as it is to lose I find it even more painful to lose in a boring fashion. Turn it loose Warriors, play like your hair is on fire! And Norm learn to enjoy it, it will loosen you up and knock some of the barnacles off. Imua!

absolutely great wins by the kane and wahine BB teams yesterday

especially the wahine doing it on the road against the preseason favorite to win the MWC title!!!

    as wafan says, “woo hoo”!!

  17. A-House November 15, 2014 9:31 am

    Arcum #13:

on tv, sure looked like more that the 3,500+ in the SSC – I figured at least 6,000.

Chow will never turn them loose because it would seem like he lost control over the team even if they win – very “stogy”

Mountain West Conference 11/15/2014 game viewing information link below. I had naively thought that UH had arranged with Oceanic to stream the Warrior-Spartan football game, but it is only available outside of Hawaii. πŸ™

Best of luck to the Rainbow Warriors. I would like to watch the game live, but PPV costs way too much for a typical Chow-ball 2014 game. Paying $10 for a streamed game would be fine and UH used to do that. Thank you AM 1420 for being there for Rainbow Warrior fans on a budget!

A-House # 16. Yes it felt like more than the announced attendance. Probably because the fans were into the game and appreciative of the team and their willingness to hang in under adverse circumstances. The team got a standing ovation at the end of the game. It was fun to be there. Not sure how they will do against stronger competition but tonight should be a hint. In any case it is probable the team will improve over time as they are new playing together. They will have a couple more big men available over the next month or so and in the interim may struggle against teams that play big in the paint. The excitement of the Stanely felt so different from the funereal atmosphere lately at Aloha stadium. But a win by the football team today might at least create a little excitement for next week. Lose again it will be grim….just like the HC.

  23. Stephen Tsai November 15, 2014 11:02 am

It appears UH’s starting offense will be:

    Cβ€”Kody Afusia
    RGβ€”Dejon Allen

#16. The student section was packed. The lower bowl was about 65% full the upper was sparse with the most fans in the sections near half court.
Caught the the last 10 minutes and overtime of the Wahine game. It was streamed on the CSU website. The girls played tough defense. Kuehu was the best athlete on the floor and King was the most physical.

  25. Boolakanaka November 15, 2014 11:11 am

  36. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 12:20 pm

they are doing good… just have to play a little better defense now..
    lucky they missed 2 FG’s

  37. Andrew November 15, 2014 12:35 pm

Continues to be disturbing that all of the long completions are under thrown

  40. Rodney November 15, 2014 12:49 pm

Listening to radio and is it just me,
Bobby c is hard to listen too
Keeps listener wondering down and distance .
Poor at leaving a mental picture of events on
    the field .

  41. Rodney November 15, 2014 12:51 pm

    Great time management CHow!!!!!
    Go Bows!!

  42. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 12:59 pm

we taking to long to score… giving their offense to much rest.. he he he

  43. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 1:04 pm

if they are win these last 3 games.. could be right up there in the standings..

  44. papajoe2 November 15, 2014 1:22 pm

2nd half. 2 runs up the middle and qb scramble up the middle. Punt. Conservative again because we are winning?

  45. not Sean November 15, 2014 1:25 pm

Here Rodney, typical bc play by play call:
in the shotgun, there’s the snap and … OH MY! Was that a fumble? Was that a fumble?
Here’s what happened during the “…” as an example only. The QB threw a well timed ten yard out to the wide receiver who caught it just as he turned to look. Pass hit him in the hands chest high and he turned in and took a couple of steps upfield when the CB wrapped him up and knocked the ball loose which was then recovered by another defender.
All that happened during the “…”. Any explanation of the play as it happened would have given the listener an idea of what happened. “…” tells you NOTHING. The play would need a long after the fact explanation that would run into the next play whuch would then need another “… OH MY”.
No Rod it’s not just you. It’s really really sad that our team is doing so poorly. It’s even sadder still when the radio personalities are even worse.

  46. ArcumFortis November 15, 2014 1:32 pm

    39. Rodney…..well at least you don’t have to listen to the OC 16 crew. Robert K. talks incessantly and does’t focus on the game. Miano and Tomey talk endlessly about things that are irrlevant to the game while the plays are going on. It is almost impossible to listen to. I wish they would simply remember that there is a football game going on and that should be their focus not their own need to hear themselves talk about nothing.

  47. Rodney November 15, 2014 1:34 pm

    Bc is so Annouyaning !!

  48. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 1:37 pm

    no hu hu

  49. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 15, 2014 1:40 pm

Run run pass punt. Run run pass punt.

That idiot of a Coach/OC needs another place to take his creativity.

  50. ArcumFortis November 15, 2014 1:45 pm

My cannot believe our play calling. San Jose has their whole defence within 5 yes of the line of scrimmage and we think we can run up the middle. Then on third down when everyone on the planet knows a blitz is coming we have only a long drop back and sack. Can someone please survey the local pop warner coaching community and have one them send in a few plays. Norm! Do you want to lose!

  51. not Sean November 15, 2014 1:45 pm

AF, you can turn down the volume on the TV and just watch the action on the screen. We can turn down the volume and watch the radio. πŸ™‚

  52. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 15, 2014 1:46 pm

Guess the definition of “Offensive Guru” has changed over the years….

    Run Run Pass Punt.

  53. oneseason November 15, 2014 1:47 pm

Congrats to Scott Harding, Tyler Hadden, and Joey Iosefa for working towards a win here today. It would be great as seniors to be able to get a win against the team that just barely defeated them as freshmen in 2011 … Tomey can’t be coaching SJSU special teams now, right? πŸ™‚ http://hawaiiathletics.com/news/2011/10/15/FB_1015114119.aspx?path=football

  54. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 1:47 pm

even when UH is winning, they are absolutely terrible.

  55. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 1:47 pm

papajoe….if they score now… we will be more conservative.. n eventually give the game away…hope not..

  56. hatakeman November 15, 2014 1:48 pm

This is why Chow gets criticized. On a turnover, Hawaii with the ball on a blocked field goal, Chow chooses to run Joey Iosefa up the middle for two plays, gaining only 4 yards. On 3rd and 6, Ikaika gets sacked. Hey Chow, got any better ideas on running plays? Maybe a swing pass. Anything but Joey up the middle when everyone knew you were going to call it. With the lead, Chow is again trying not to lose.

  57. ArcumFortis November 15, 2014 1:48 pm

I think we should send in the same Navy seal ops unit that got Bin Laden to parachute into the stadium, kidnap NC and replace him with Frank DeLima.

  58. ArcumFortis November 15, 2014 1:49 pm

At least Frank would be entertaining.

  59. oneseason November 15, 2014 1:49 pm

Listening to 1420, they also are questioning Chow’s extremely conservative (dare-to-lose?) offensive play calling.

  60. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 1:50 pm

arcum: are you sure this didn’t already happen? because this football team is comical.

  61. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 15, 2014 1:50 pm

Anyone want to bet on our next possession we go Run Run Pass?

  62. Rodney November 15, 2014 1:51 pm

    Arrrrr BC sooooo frustrating !!!
Have no idea or picture of what’s
    happening !!
    Can he be replaced??
Im old school love the radio,
but this is so frustrating !!

  63. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 1:52 pm

    LOL AT YOU THERE….ArcumFortis

YES WE DO NEED ENTERTAINMENT.. U U GAVE US HERE.. MORE THEN IS WHAT GOING ON THERE ON THE FIELD BY uh….

  64. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 1:52 pm

honestly, norm chow should just have the offense take a knee three times and punt.

  65. Rodney November 15, 2014 1:53 pm

Chow show your genius on this drive!!!

  66. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 15, 2014 1:54 pm

    Ohmygeeeeerrrddddd he actually passed.

  67. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 15, 2014 1:55 pm

    Woooooow!

  68. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 1:55 pm

#64: lol “genius.” norm chow hasn’t had a genius level offense since 2004.

  69. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 1:56 pm

SJSU is giving UH every single opportunity to win the game. my god. they’re terrible. UH is terrible. this is like watching a pillow fight.

  70. azwarrior22 November 15, 2014 1:58 pm

Offensive is horrible. Best weapon is the punter. Hawaii should be blowing out San Jose St.

  71. oneseason November 15, 2014 1:59 pm

Every Chow has his day πŸ™‚

  72. hatakeman November 15, 2014 1:59 pm

Again, Hawaii recovered a fumble, and Joey cannot make more than 2 yards. Hawaii punt and San Jose punt returner fumbles. Well, its another 2 yards by Iosefa. Then Ikaika throws TD. Wait, holding by Iosefa. Can we see another running back?

  73. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 1:59 pm

azwarrior: possibly san jose state should be blowing out hawaii, or leading, if not for all the terrible mistakes.

  74. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 15, 2014 2:00 pm

Is Ewaliko the only player that gets punished for making positive plays?

    #DontEffenGetIt

  75. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 2:00 pm

real talk: if norm chow loses this game, he should commit seppuku.

  76. oneseason November 15, 2014 2:01 pm

13-0, 9:55 to go in the 4th quarter. Definitely time to start playing conservative. No more going for it on 3rd down. Play it safe. Run-Run-Punt.

  77. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 2:03 pm

oneseason: play it even more safe. take a knee three time, eating as much clock as possible, then punt.

  78. Rodney November 15, 2014 2:04 pm

    Defense !!!!

  79. ArcumFortis November 15, 2014 2:05 pm

It’s good that the San Jose benevolent society is trying to give us this game. I hope Norm is willing to accept their generosity. He seems a bit bewildered by what is going on. But he has a lot of experience finding ways to lose. I still haven’t given up on him. There is still time to pull out a loss.

  80. azwarrior22 November 15, 2014 2:05 pm

Put in Beau to finish. Current QB does not have the “IT” factor. He’s had all season to get it done and still can’t make this offense run. Hawaii should be blowing out San Jose St.

  81. papajoe2 November 15, 2014 2:05 pm

Does the bottom 10 still have the “Crummy Game of the Week?” San Jose is horrible. UH play alling is……..

  82. Z November 15, 2014 2:08 pm

Our d looks gassed. Offense needs to step it up or it will be another could have.

  83. azwarrior22 November 15, 2014 2:09 pm

#78 – don’t joke about it. There’s still more than enough time to blow it. BUT we still want Hawaii win, but either way HC must go.

  84. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 2:13 pm

    shut them out defense

  85. ArcumFortis November 15, 2014 2:13 pm

    82. I am with you. But sometimes it is either I laugh or I cry. Laughing seems preferable.

  86. azwarrior22 November 15, 2014 2:16 pm

Bring in Beau…this offense is pathetic.

  87. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 2:18 pm

    ewaliko runs 2 times for 9 yards…joey 2 times for 5 yards..ur right..he is being punished for doing good…

  88. Sports Fanatic November 15, 2014 2:18 pm

I think we need a whole lot of cheese in this blog

  89. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 2:19 pm

they better be careful now..or they be eating omelet on monday…he he he

  90. azwarrior22 November 15, 2014 2:21 pm

Here’s the grades for this game:

    Special teams –> A+
    Defense –> B+
    Offense –> D-
    Coaching –> F

  91. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 2:23 pm

    az warrior…

    is incomplete worst then F?

  92. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 2:24 pm

azwarrior: D- on offense? you’re being very generous.

  93. 3-Prong November 15, 2014 2:24 pm

Correction: 17 straight ENDED today! Congratulations Bows!

…….and from the Catdome, Linfield 59 – Pacific 0 Cheeee!

  94. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 2:26 pm

ME FEEL FOR THOSE OF U IN HAWAII.. AT LEAST ur have the choice to go stadium n really watch good football game…pity us poor souls that have to ‘stomach’ a gift of a win….

  95. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 2:29 pm

it’s comforting to know that UH isn’t the absolute worst team in the mountain west. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the bottom of the barrel.

  96. azwarrior22 November 15, 2014 2:29 pm

If you have incomplete, then you can still make it up to get a better grade. But if you have an “F”, it’s permanent on your record.

  97. ArcumFortis November 15, 2014 2:29 pm

I must be getting jaded. We win this game and I feel like drinking gasoline and poking my eyes out. Do I need help or was this game truly torture?

  98. hatakeman November 15, 2014 2:30 pm

I like what Dick Tomey has said – Hawaii’s always had good players. Hawaii wins, but thanks to special teams and the defense. Offensive play calling, an ‘F.’

  99. Wes'side Warrior November 15, 2014 2:31 pm

    Right on, Warriors!

    Gratz on da Road Win!

  100. ArcumFortis November 15, 2014 2:31 pm

Good game Warriors. Didn’t enjoy the game but hey…we win!

  101. azwarrior22 November 15, 2014 2:31 pm

Woo hoo ! But HC still must go.

  102. Marleysdad November 15, 2014 2:31 pm

    Ho Lee Fuk.

  103. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 15, 2014 2:32 pm

Very happy for the players. Enjoy this victory.

    GoBows!

  104. Rodney November 15, 2014 2:32 pm

    Congrats boys!
    Thanks coach chow and staff!
    Wins a win people!!!!!
    Bobby Curran should critique himself
    its sooo bad!!

  105. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 2:32 pm

arcum: not even the most kool-aid drinking “tsaiko” would say that this was a good entertaining game and a great win. this was like watching two teams full of clowns play football. the only thing missing was the circus music.

    my god.

    but hey. hooray for omelets.

  106. Wes'side Warrior November 15, 2014 2:32 pm

..and Gratz on da first shutout since 2005!

  107. DaveLetterMan November 15, 2014 2:34 pm

Way to go, Warriors! Great win AND shut out!!

  108. MattyBoy November 15, 2014 2:34 pm

Noooooooo! Not a win! Now UH gonna have a reason to keep Chow! I can’t take anymore of Chows’ horrible gut-wrenching offense.

  109. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 2:36 pm

wow. statistically, SJSU completely dominated this game. They basically put the win in a christmas box with a bow tie and told norm chow “here. take this. please.”

  110. Z November 15, 2014 2:37 pm

    Way to battle Rainbow Warriors!

  111. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 2:37 pm

we can’t even cash in on the 50% off deal for papa johns, if UH scores 2+ tds.

  112. Rodney November 15, 2014 2:40 pm

At least be happy for the kids
and support staff who work hard.

  113. st. anthony trojan November 15, 2014 2:44 pm

we plated better,, the defense was great…even if their offense was ‘sputtering’ n giving us several ‘breaks’…still the d played hard. n deserve the game ball…

harding especially when it counted…having them to go 98 yards for a score when they really needed it..he drove that nail in their coffin…4 sure…he should have a 2 omelets monday…good to have ST there with sum pics monday at ‘feeding time…???

az warrior.. was with the intention..’incomplete’ then canned..so no can make up…
but in this case..guess he will still be around for a while.. so ‘F’ IT SHOULD BE…

  114. cocobean November 15, 2014 2:44 pm

I’m happy for the players. That’s about it.

  115. papajoe2 November 15, 2014 2:44 pm

What?? San Jose didn’t punt the entire game. Strange.

  116. papajoe2 November 15, 2014 2:47 pm

Did Wyoming have a winning record at the time we played them? If not, when was the last time we beat a Div. 1 team with a winning record? What is the streak for nationaly covered TV games?

  117. Old Diver November 15, 2014 2:47 pm

Good win but it doesn’t change what needs to be done at seasons end.

  118. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 2:47 pm

there’s two different things going on here: 1) be happy for the players (who are actually adults). sure. they do work and play hard. that’s a given, especially if you’re a division I athlete. a win is good for them. i don’t feel any particular special personal connection to them that would make me be willing to overlook how terrible the team is under the norm chow era; however,it’s good they get to eat omelets. in general, winning, even if it’s a pillow fight like this one, feels good.

    2) overall, the product on the field is terrible and the coaching sucks, and currently, it’s not really worth spending any kind of money to watch “run run pass incomplete, punt” and -5 yards of offense in an entire quarter of football on any kind of consistent basis. listening to it on espn.com is probably a lot better than watching it live.

  119. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 2:51 pm

scott harding, though. he needs to go straight to the UH hall of fame/circle of honor/whatever it’s called immediately after the last game of the season (and hopefully he’s one of the (few?) players who will actually graduate and leave UH with a degree and move forward in life). Like i said before, it would be worth it to just watch scott harding punt the ball for an entire game.

definitely much more exciting, by far, than any other aspect of UH football.

Huge win for the FB program, very happy for the young men.

  121. mo808 November 15, 2014 2:57 pm

That was an interesting win. Good to get that road game losing streak broken! Good job Warriors!

  122. ArcumFortis November 15, 2014 2:57 pm

Well our corners were better today and didn’t get beaten deep. Our D-line wasn’t as good as early in the season but better than the previous couple of games. Ikaika managed the game well enough and is becoming more solid each week. I can’t recall our receivers dropping any footballs and Pedroza’s (nullified) TD catch was a big time play. Harding was amazing as always. So some bright spots and a win is a win is a win. Part of the benefit is the team simply expereincing winning enough to expect it to happen.

so UH, mathematically, has a chance to win the western division of the Mountain West and play in the championship game (which shows you how terrible the mountain west this year is). Wouldn’t it be hilarious if UH actually WINS the mountain west but is still ineligible to play in a bowl game?

  125. mytake November 15, 2014 3:13 pm

Great win ‘BUT’, WTF is w the play calling?! Lets not kid ourselves, Chow runs the offense and he is driving it into the ground! Iosefa Iosefa iosefa iosefa iosefa iosefa. WTF! -5 yds in the 3rd qtr!!

  126. 4-Prong November 15, 2014 3:16 pm

26 rushes for 68 yards. or something like that. it’s awful. “here is a wall, joey. keep running straight into it. don’t worry. it’ll help us win.”

  127. oneseason November 15, 2014 3:22 pm

I don’t even want to imagine the 2015 season with the same offensive play calling and no Scott Harding.

  128. Konaboy November 15, 2014 3:23 pm

Just finished watching the game. First I’m glad for the players for the win and breaking the road losing streak. Joey Iosefa is definitely an impact player for this team. The offense however continues to be pretty dismal… only 13 points!? really!?!? There should have been at least 28 points scored. The defense has been pretty respectable this year considering how much time they’ve had to spend on the field, and made some plays today, but SJSU basically gift wrapped that shut out to the Warriors D…..

Yeah, yeah I know… A win is a win…. I guess I am a bit cynical at this point in the season, but it’s my hope that they build on this momentum and can finish the season out with W’s.

  129. kawika49 November 15, 2014 3:32 pm

    I nokea, we won.

  130. Z November 15, 2014 3:37 pm

Chow needs to go and find Scott Harding II.

  131. lawaia November 15, 2014 3:42 pm

Congratulations Coach Chow, Staff, and players on your win today. Coach Clune, great defensive schemes. Imua Na Koa Anuenue.

  132. Whats up November 15, 2014 3:53 pm

Good win for the Hawaii Defense and Special Teams! Sorry the abysmal Offense does not deserve credit for this win on the road.

  133. Shoko November 15, 2014 4:00 pm

Whoever said you can’t win on defense alone is full of chit.

    Woot? πŸ˜‰

  134. Kapahulu November 15, 2014 4:17 pm

    Congratulations Rainbow Warriors!
Was at the game in person. Good weather, small crowd, glad to get a win.
Sat behind Moses Samia family. Was nice to see him block that kick.
Official UH Tailgate was great and crowded. Ben Jay and Norm Chow spoke to the crowd. UH Band played and did a great job. Good prize giveaways.

Happy for the Rainbow Warriors. Should be a nice trip home.

  135. Fei Jai November 15, 2014 4:28 pm

Great win for the boys, especially the seniors!

    Norm still gotta go though.

  136. islandman November 15, 2014 4:32 pm

#130. — seemed like there were more Hawaii fans there than for San Jose. On TV, the cheers were loudest when UH made the good plays.

Ikaika had lots of family and friends there, the TV camera showed him with them after the game.

  137. jeffdman2000 November 15, 2014 4:51 pm

Being a Fan in Hawaii is like a marriage. The men get to work and are happy with a win. The women beach and moan even in a win.

    Losers

I wish I was with Kapahulu today.

  139. tom November 15, 2014 4:58 pm

A win is a win is a win.

    Happy especially for the seniors!

Look at it philosophically – we are 200% better than last season.

would like to pay my debt before the Fresno game 2 Saturdays away

Maple Garden – best to be there before 11:15am

tell me which day is best for both of you.

  144. Inyoface November 15, 2014 6:15 pm

    Hey guys, did we win?

  145. A-House November 15, 2014 6:35 pm

it was a very empty win – great for the players as they deserved it – not so for the coaching staff (especially on offense)

San Jose gave UH the win with all their mistakes in the “red zone” – never imagined an offense more inept than UH

agree with others – despite this win Chow must go!!!!!!!!!!

  146. A-House November 15, 2014 6:41 pm

it must be my imagination, but I still cannot see the enthusiasm by the offensive players – apologize if some are playing their hearts out!

watching other teams – when they go up the middle, the OL keeps pushing the ball carrier – UH OL stands around waiting for the whistle – Naole should do something about this attitude.

  147. Z November 15, 2014 6:52 pm

    Moderated. How come?

  148. Warrior Dave November 15, 2014 6:57 pm

    A-House,

Add me to the list of “Chow Must Go Club!” I was able to listen to the game via espn app. Don’t know what happened after halftime but when I was able to listen in the 4th Q, evendors Bobby and John were questioning the conservative nature of the play calling. Even fans calling Gary after were not to happy. I think we’re stuck for 1 more year unless the boosters buy him out or he retires to care and be with his wife.

  149. d1shima November 15, 2014 7:25 pm

    Auryte!

    Great day!

    WTG Warriors! πŸ™‚

On to the playoffs ‘Cats! πŸ˜€

3-prong, I was actually thinking I’d like a refund on the $12 for the live stream at one point in the 3rd quarter! 😈

  150. d1shima November 15, 2014 7:27 pm

Now for a celebratory glass of awamori…

  151. oneseason November 15, 2014 7:39 pm

The UNLV game attendance should be a good indicator of fan support for the head coach. If fans are forced to imagine the Rainbow Warriors with this offensive leadership and without Scott Harding, it seems that season ticket sales will plummet. The full buyout cost is likely a bargain compared to the season ticket revenue falloff that would result.

  152. btn225 November 15, 2014 8:17 pm

glad we won, but it just dawned on me. Chows offense reminds me of soccer. a few exciting plays, not much scoring and a lot of kicking.

  153. 3-Prong November 15, 2014 8:20 pm

d1: You kno dat! Gooood Day!

A-House — I went the emotional route and said UH will win TWO games. So it’s not over yet– I still got a dawg in this hunt chasing championships!
😳 Egads…did I just say that???? –well, I still got a dawg in the hunt for a buffet lunch, anyway…
    But, Congrats Rainbow Warriors!

  155. 3-Prong November 15, 2014 8:30 pm

d1: or was it because the game was over already? hehehe

  156. Buffoman November 15, 2014 8:37 pm

The field goals could have been TDs. Mistakes made those scores field goals. I wonder if those were TDs if it would have made folks a little happier.

The first, with Joey in the wildcat, which was successfully run on previous plays was a different look. Afusia centered the ball over Joey’ s head. A mistake.

The second, where Ikaika threw a nice pass to a laid out Pedroza was called back because Joey was called for a hold.

UH scored and SJSU could not, inspire of our mistakes. Maybe we were lucky. Maybe we played better inspire of the mistakes and ultra conservative play calling in the third quarter when the wind was really in our face.

To me a win is a win; I don’t care how they do it.

  157. el burro sabio November 15, 2014 10:39 pm

Any win on the road, especially a shutout, is a good win. Continuing to call for the coach’s head, at least for today, seems extremely disrespectful to the players. Apply the 48 hour rule and let it go for the moment.

  158. kruzen November 15, 2014 11:10 pm

Congrats to WBB, MBB and FB. Way to go bows!

  159. beans November 15, 2014 11:54 pm

It was a good day for Hawaii fans at the tailgate and the game. The tailgate was fun with the UH Band doing a great job pumping us up. Coach and AD addressed the crowd with a honest appraisal of the situation but stressed the No give up theme and praised the hard work of our young boys. I liked it!
The game was sloppy at times but very entertaining. We left happy. and we WON!
Harding deserved the game ball. Caught a pass at a critical time besides his normal fantastic kicking. It might have also been one of Ikaika’s best passes of the season.
Fresno in 2 weeks. UNLV next week. Be there! Support.
