Game day: San Jose State; Ingram signs with Saints

Former UH long-snapper Jake Ingram, who was released by the New England Patriots a couple of weeks ago, today signed with the New Orleans Saints, a UH coach said today

* * * * *

The Spartans have played better offensively in recent game, but they’re young (18 freshmen are in the rotation), banged up (best running back, tight end and safety are done for the season), and coming off a game in which they relinquished 520 yards and allowed Utah State to hold the ball for more than 38 minutes.

Even the oddsmakers agree, installing the well-rested Warriors as 29.5-point favorites.

* * * * *

Because of budget cuts, the Warriors stopped attending movies the night before games. They came up with a better plan: they attend games before games. The team watched the Rainbow Warriors beat Central Arkansas in basketball last night.

The Star Advertiser should consider taking down the comment section for their online stories.

    Freedom of speech is abused.

For God’s sake, three people almost died and some feel it’s funny or whatever and they use that forum as their own personal toilet… A young woman battles cancer and they use that forum as their platform to challenge the intellegence of those with religious beliefs…

I hope these classless pieces of human waste encounter an accident of their own.

    THAT’S MY OPINION!

  15. gigi-hawaii November 20, 2010 9:22 am

    Carry over from yesterday’s post:

99club ~ RE: On the travel subsidy topic, some good news is that Air Force flies to Hawaii on military transport and stays on base. Don’t let the MWC add them into the calculations!

That’s not accurate. The service academies don’t fly military aircraft and stay on bases. They fly commercially just like everybody else. Some of the reasons include legal use of the aircraft (combat and combat support missions vice academy sports), aircraft availability (a significant portion of our lift aircraft are tied up overseas) and status of person (i.e. Midshipmen and cadets are military, but most of the staff is NOT government employees, they work for the AThletics Associations which are non-government, non-profit organizations decided to service academy athletics). In 4 years working with a major sport at a service academy, we never flew military air and stayed on base once (and for that the coaches had to get special permission from the Pentagon and the lawyers that it was in the best interest of the Navy).

I know the MWC already knows all this so it will be a non-factor in the negotiations…

See everybody at the tgate. GO WARRIORS!

  29. bb November 20, 2010 9:38 am

    Time for some sarcastic humor.

    Has anybody had phone sex?

Essentially that is what UH got with this “handshake” agreement. Everything was done over the phone. We feel good and we are really happy. BUT still it is just PHONE SEX.

UH still needs to work out the details so we can have the REAL thing.

Until then we are left to wonder, imagine, and hope.

  30. Cindy Cee November 20, 2010 9:41 am

Just wishing CB to get better from the accident. Good morning all. Have a safe/joyfull weekend.

Well, let’s see if the Wolfpack playing at home can put the hurt to the Broncos!!!, it’s getting to the point where BSU are strong on both sides of the ball…..just fast, fast, fast; that’s why they can go with the, “no-huddle” offense.

  33. bb November 20, 2010 10:08 am

so which big island person sold the SUV pics to tmz?

  34. mctruck November 20, 2010 10:11 am

BSU-Strong/athletic/fast, not necessarily huge, size-wise, but with the three previous assets what more do you need???

  35. Bulla & others who think that government spending is a very bad joke:

Check out the link – very tiny print but worthwhile checking out with a magnifying glass – in Ian Lind’s blog. The impact on services to people here in Hawai`i will be ginormous if we lose all that federal money.

FYI – the total amount allocated to earmarks accounts for less than 2% of the federal budget. The biggies in the budget are Social Security, Medicare & the military which account for approximately 87% of the federal budget. Which do you want to cut back to save some tax money.

I think AP writer Herbert Sample has the right of it–crimping the flow of Congressional earmarks will hit Hawaii harder than most other states.

Here’s a list of earmarks http://ilind.net/misc%20/2010/pork2010.pdf that benefited Hawaii in 2010, including everything from crime prevention to agricultural research, and everything in between. It’s drawn from the database compiled by Citizens Against Government Waste, which includes past years as well and is searchable by state or by individual member of Congress.

    Howzit mctruck!

Big ups to Freitas, Greenwood Donovan and all the other top brass at UH for handling the MWC so well! I like what I read about Ms. Greenwood as a listener and a doer. She and others in administration are a complete reversal from the previous regime!

  40. mctruck November 20, 2010 10:21 am

Well, well, well….Mark May seems to be changing his view of an undefeated TCU or BSU being kept out of BCS bowl game and allowing an AQ team with 3-4 loses to climb past the previous two non-AQ teams would be wrong. Discussion on espn pregame show this morning.

  41. Mrs. A-House November 20, 2010 10:23 am

    Reactive Benson:

    He never learns, does he!

UH told him that they were looking at all options that in the best interest of UH. that being said, Benson does NOTHING, NOTHING!

Did he approach the WAC Bd of Directors and ask for a football only proposal for UH 4 months ago? If the Board said no, then it’s the Bd of Directors ( Presidents of conference schools) that are truly the “reactive ones” and cannot or will not see how important a first class athletic program is to the school and community.

I belived that Greenwood did not care much for athletics, but as this morning’s paper stated she was convinced, by more than one individual, how important UH athletics is to the school and state of Hawaii.

My hats off to Mr Freitas for his major role in getting the MWC to seriously consider adding UH to its conference.

No one has mentioned the “downtown” connection. Did they also play a major role?

  46. Van November 20, 2010 10:33 am

That’s a funny joke, but it seems like the past 30 years Republican presidents are the ones who run up the deficit by expanding government while reducing taxes. Then the Democratic presidents then have to deal with the consequences and clean up the mess, but they somehow get blamed for it all. Have to respect the Republicans for skillfully steering this narrative.

  47. al November 20, 2010 10:33 am

    i was just thinking…

if this were back in the day, rockne freitas would be a great candidate for king of the hawaiian islands. what with his physical stature (6’7″/275lb) and his high intelligence quotient?

  48. al November 20, 2010 10:33 am

…and pride. could stand at his side as his first ali’i.

  49. djmitcho November 20, 2010 10:35 am

One of these days…..I will be able to attend a t-gate. Hope everyone has a safe and good time today. Let’s go Warriors!!

  50. al November 20, 2010 10:36 am

i was worried that we’d come out flat as a pancake after the bsu debacle and the long bye week…but, i believe the news of the mwc inclusion might well be enough impetus going into the always tough sjsu game.

  51. al November 20, 2010 10:40 am

this basketball team is making strides each game.

what was most enlightening was how this team is responding to the task master that is the gibber. early in the first half he yanked all five on the court for what seemed to be a slight lack of effort by most of those guys and inserted a whole new five.

no one sulked, instead they cheered their teammates with as much emotion and passion that the gibber is displaying.

  52. mctruck November 20, 2010 10:40 am

Well, atleast now,(fingers-crossed), our Warriors can keep working on getting even with BSU…not getting even, but really bashing them in time.

  53. Da Punchbowl Kid November 20, 2010 10:41 am

    al –

I’d follow those two guys into battle anywhere!

#50 not to mention they will have Colt on their minds too.

  54. CoachTiff November 20, 2010 10:42 am

Mainland family member here! Coming to my first UH game today…. where do you go to pick up the UH Football player family tickets? Any other useful information would be greatly appreciated :0) GO WARRIORS… so excited!

  55. al November 20, 2010 10:42 am

…and last night every available body got some meaningful play time including dominick brumfield and one-time redshirt jordan coleman. both responded well for their debut on the d1 level.

this team is deep and will get deeper when salter, brumfield, and coleman get their “sealegs” after coming off injury and possible redshirting.

  56. Da Punchbowl Kid November 20, 2010 10:42 am

Yep, Coach Gib is a young master of the game.

  57. mctruck November 20, 2010 10:43 am

This young UH bb team has got to work on giving up way too many turnovers…time and maturity will only help. did I say, I love this young guys???, good job guys!!

  58. mctruck November 20, 2010 10:44 am

    this=these

  59. al November 20, 2010 10:44 am

i am wondering if thompson’s getting hurt had something to do with coleman’s insertion.

and you got to like the zane “drain” johnson and bo “burn” barnes’ collective firepower from the 2 guard position. something that had been missing for the past two years.

  60. al November 20, 2010 10:45 am

i hope for pilares’ recovery today.

if not will it be sampson or ostrowski or blount that we will see?

  61. al November 20, 2010 10:46 am

i am hoping that the sidelines will be filled with prospective warriors. its a great time to ride the wave in to the mwc.

  62. Old Diver November 20, 2010 10:53 am

I hope so also, which is why for the future of the program we need to fill the seats and be a loud as possible.

I also like the numbers 5s on the mens and womens teams. Tho they may not be the tallest they give us a couple of very athletic bangers in the paint. Thomas and Jackson 5 will be around for a very long time. I see good things happening for both programs.

  80. 99club November 20, 2010 11:53 am

    sailorblue, re: #28,

I’m assured by AF Academy grads that I work with, as recently as yesterday afternoon, that they do indeed take mil air whenever available. As you noted, it is not always available. Normally they find an aircrew that needs to log a cross country navigation flight, as all aircrews are periodically required to do, and then kill two birds with one stone. As for staying on base, I watched the AF team practice on Hickam and then ate with them at the chow hall the last time they were in Hawaii. While it can’t be ruled out, I doubt they would have driven all the way from Waikiki.

Considering that I can not afford a lot of those high end items on the market. However I take pleasure in dreaming about it and whenever possible I quite like the little pleasures of life. Once you belong to men and women who can readily afford to pay pricy goods and services merely go for it. I guess life is about having a good time, what else?

I have watched via oceanic on an iPhone. It worked very well over 3G. You start by downloading the oceanic app. You have to order the game via the oceanic website– the watch mobile link– once you do that it should show up automatically in the oceanic app. You have to create an account which can be done within the app.

    http://www.sidearmstats.com/hawaii/wbball/index.htm

In case you’re stuck in the office or at home.

    Go Wahine Bows! Go WARRIORS!

  110. labrat November 20, 2010 3:05 pm

    Wahine on radio ESPN 1500.

  111. madeinhawaii November 20, 2010 3:15 pm

labrat… ESPN 1500… what dat ? Only way I can get that in Kaneohe is to sit in my car. LOL

  112. labrat November 20, 2010 3:26 pm

1500 AM. Yeah I wish they would broadcast FM.

  113. Stephen Tsai November 20, 2010 3:43 pm

I hope it’s because the gates are not open yet, but the stands are completely empty.

  114. gigi-hawaii November 20, 2010 3:55 pm

    ST,

Maybe that’s why Oceanic PPV is showing just the 3 flags waving in the breeze at the stadium: UH, Hawaii, USA flags.

They usually show people talking and eating in the stands, or people walking around.

  115. madeinhawaii November 20, 2010 4:06 pm

Wahine BB not doing too well… 51-33 E. Michigan just too fast. 17 minutes to play…

  116. Pcwarrior November 20, 2010 4:15 pm

Getting my pre game meal at kozos. And then. Off to the game!!! Let’s go WARRIORS!!!

  117. Haleakala November 20, 2010 4:16 pm

Kazz: I really do agree with you about doing away with the comments to the Star Advertiser articles. There are classless and inciteful comments made by people who probably don’t have many friends because of their lack of decency or personality. The paper should give people a choice to turn off the comments so it cannot even be seen unless the reader really want to.

  118. gigi-hawaii November 20, 2010 4:41 pm

Good news about Colt, who is alert and stable at Queen’s. Yay!

  119. seattlezz November 20, 2010 4:44 pm

The KOMO-TV (ABC affiliate, channel 4 in Seattle) website does just that for their articles–you can turn the comments on or off. If they can do it, then S-A should be able to. http://www.komonews.com/

  120. Stephen Tsai November 20, 2010 4:53 pm

    Koakane moved my car.

It has the DUI aroma to it.

  121. Stephen Tsai November 20, 2010 4:58 pm

OK, reporters are spoiled. The pre-game meal is turkey, stuffing, ham, kal bi and cookies. And, in case Wena is reading, fruits and salad.

  122. Stephen Tsai November 20, 2010 4:59 pm

Though the Spartans were doing the haka. My bad. It was just a yell.

But they’re happy. They earned their first basketball road victory against a Pac-10 team since 1986. Or so we’re told, by their media relations director.

  123. Stephen Tsai November 20, 2010 5:25 pm

Via video, Shane Victorino introduces the Warriors.

  124. jm2375 (Backflip) November 20, 2010 5:30 pm

Dang ST, did you save us some?

  125. Matt November 20, 2010 5:37 pm

    Good stop Defense.

  126. Lopaka43 November 20, 2010 5:37 pm

We are on the Big Island tonight, and discovered the local sports bar does not show the UH game “because it is PPV”…I guess Kailua-Kona is really part of San Diego not Hawaii..Anybody know if the game is streaming anywhere?? I’ve got 1420 on the radio, but would like to watch what is happening.

  127. Steve November 20, 2010 5:40 pm

    Lopaka43,

    Try uhstreaming.oceanic.com

  128. Matt November 20, 2010 5:40 pm

  129. Konaboy November 20, 2010 5:40 pm

Ok time to shake the cobwebs off on the o side, hopefully third time out on the field is the charm.

  130. Matt November 20, 2010 5:45 pm

Yup that’s it Mo. Just get the ball to the money man Greg Salas.

  131. Matt November 20, 2010 5:47 pm

TD Pollard. About time the offense woke up.

  132. Matt November 20, 2010 5:48 pm

Where are all of the mainlanders tonight? Did they forget about the “Fall back” time change?

  133. CoolEthan November 20, 2010 5:49 pm

    Tanks Matt!

  134. Matt November 20, 2010 5:51 pm

    You’re welcome CoolEthan.

  135. jm2375 (Backflip) November 20, 2010 5:51 pm

Uhhh, the guy next next to me is napping.

  136. Matt November 20, 2010 5:55 pm

    jm2375,

Kick his seat or screech really loud in his ear.

  137. Matt November 20, 2010 5:55 pm

Come on offense. Score another one.

  138. Ronnie November 20, 2010 5:56 pm

    jm2375 – napping or passed out? 😉

  139. Matt November 20, 2010 5:58 pm

SJSU is actually doing a decent job of stopping the run so far.

  140. Ronnie November 20, 2010 6:00 pm

I thought the game was going to be on ESPN 360, which meant I could watch it with Xbox Live but it’s not… bummer! It would have been great to see it on the big tv.

  141. Matt November 20, 2010 6:00 pm

    FG Enos. 10-0 UH.

  142. Matt November 20, 2010 6:01 pm

    Ronnie,

It’s on ESPN3. Can you hook a computer up to your big TV?

  143. jm2375 (Backflip) November 20, 2010 6:04 pm

Ronnie – napping. I’m not sitting next to KK. 🙄

  144. jojo ® November 20, 2010 6:05 pm

    Yeah!

  145. Ronnie November 20, 2010 6:07 pm

    Matt,

I don’t think I have the right cables. When I saw the Xbox live shows ESPN 360 now, I thought it would show all of the options that the internet had, but I could only choose from 2 games and highlights.

  146. Shoko November 20, 2010 6:10 pm

Look liked a catch to me, unfortunately.

  147. wafan November 20, 2010 6:12 pm

    Hi!

    Go Warriors!!!

  148. Matt November 20, 2010 6:12 pm

    Pick 6!!!!!!

  149. Matt November 20, 2010 6:12 pm

    Alright Aaron Brown!

  150. Ronnie November 20, 2010 6:13 pm

Wow! Way to go Aaron Brown!

  151. wafan November 20, 2010 6:13 pm

    INT/TD!!!

  152. wafan November 20, 2010 6:14 pm

Just got back from a Korean dinner. *burp*

  153. wafan November 20, 2010 6:14 pm

Just got back from a Korean dinner. *burp*

  154. kawika49 November 20, 2010 6:14 pm

#146 whistle blew ..before sjs player recovered.

  155. wafan November 20, 2010 6:14 pm

    Ummm, that was two burps.

    Sorry.

  156. wafan November 20, 2010 6:16 pm

    Awesome.

    K5!!!

  157. wafan November 20, 2010 6:18 pm

    Dang.

I think Davis is the only one without an INT?

  158. camping gear November 20, 2010 6:18 pm

Hi – very good web site you have established. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to issue a comment to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically pleasing. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor in chief for a marketing firm. I have always enjoyed playing with information processing systems and am attempting to learn code in my spare time (which there is never enough of lol).

  159. Matt November 20, 2010 6:19 pm

    Come on Defense

  160. Matt November 20, 2010 6:20 pm

Good to see Spencer Smith in the game.

  161. wafan November 20, 2010 6:21 pm

Hey! Spartsans are running Hawai’i 5-0!!!

  162. Matt November 20, 2010 6:22 pm

TD Spartans. Boo. Offense better answer back.

  163. wafan November 20, 2010 6:23 pm

    Dang.

  164. Shoko November 20, 2010 6:23 pm

Okay, SJSU got their TD. Nuff already…kill em, Warriors!

  165. wafan November 20, 2010 6:24 pm

Time for the O to run the clock.

  166. wafan November 20, 2010 6:24 pm

Time for the O to run the clock.

  167. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:25 pm

I hope that TD pissed off the D enuf to shut them out the rest of the game.

  168. Matt November 20, 2010 6:25 pm

Warriors don’t seem to be playing with much emotion. The starters need to build up a huge lead so we can get the backups some game experience.

  169. wafan November 20, 2010 6:26 pm

Anybody know how many at the stadium?

    Dang.

  170. Matt November 20, 2010 6:27 pm

Pilares fumble. Not good. SJSU threatening again. SJSU is running a lot of different formations on offense. Almost like a mini Boise without anywhere near the same level of execution.

  171. wafan November 20, 2010 6:28 pm

    Come on D!!!

  172. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:29 pm

    D looks pissed 😉

  173. wafan November 20, 2010 6:30 pm

    Ball on the 2?

  174. Ronnie November 20, 2010 6:30 pm

    hmmm…. getting a little… spirited out there.

  175. Matt November 20, 2010 6:32 pm

Now we have some emotion on defense. The offense has to match it and score another TD.

  176. wafan November 20, 2010 6:32 pm

Nice catch by Pilares. Too bad he could not put it away. Good thing the D came ready to play! Would hate to be on the receiving end of an upset DLman.

  177. wafan November 20, 2010 6:35 pm

After commercial breaks why does ESPN3 return a play or two late?

    Kind of irritating.

  178. Shoko November 20, 2010 6:37 pm

    Ho! Nice pass and catch!

  179. Okole Maluna November 20, 2010 6:37 pm

    TD Hawaii

  180. Matt November 20, 2010 6:37 pm

    TD!!!! Alex Green.

  181. SarahG November 20, 2010 6:39 pm

I just love photography. Love everything about real estate. I love to talk about it. I love to dream about it. I see the beautful inspiring ocean shots online and wish I can be the one taking it. yeah, that’s my fantasy. RealEstateGal

  182. Shoko November 20, 2010 6:39 pm

Warriors O-line is providing Moniz with good protection.

  183. Matt November 20, 2010 6:43 pm

Come on D!!!! Shut em down.

  184. Matt November 20, 2010 6:43 pm

    Good stop again Defense.

  185. Matt November 20, 2010 6:44 pm

Ooh. They were going for a fake, but false start. Ha ha.

  186. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:45 pm

OK O, time to make a statement into the half!!

  187. Matt November 20, 2010 6:45 pm

Okay, the MVP so far for SJSU is their punter.

  188. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:46 pm

Hawaii receivers are in a different league than these SJSU db’s. Nice catch!

  189. Shoko November 20, 2010 6:46 pm

    Dang!

  190. Matt November 20, 2010 6:46 pm

Bad throw by Mo gets intercepted.

  191. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:47 pm

man really bad pass there, too bad we just lost all that momentum….

  192. Matt November 20, 2010 6:47 pm

Come on defense. Get it back.

  193. Matt November 20, 2010 6:47 pm

    I wanna see another sack.

  194. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:49 pm

I’m glad that hawaii is trying to get the ball back.

  195. Matt November 20, 2010 6:49 pm

Playing the Spartans=Good for the sack stats.

  196. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:49 pm

that db going for the ball costed hawaii a first down

  197. Matt November 20, 2010 6:50 pm

    INT!!!! Aaron Brown again!!!

  198. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:50 pm

    D-E-F-E-N-S-E!!!!

  199. Shoko November 20, 2010 6:50 pm

Plenty time to turn that INT into a TD.

  200. Okole Maluna November 20, 2010 6:50 pm

    A Brown Again!!

  201. Ronnie November 20, 2010 6:50 pm

    Yee Haw!!! INT!!!

  202. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:50 pm

    OK Mo, TD this time!!!!

  203. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:51 pm

Luv to see their hurry up O

  204. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:52 pm

    Gulp!

  205. Okole Maluna November 20, 2010 6:52 pm

    WOW No Huddle Offense

  206. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:53 pm

    I smell a bubble screen….

  207. Matt November 20, 2010 6:53 pm

Come on Rolo. I wanna see some points.

  208. Shoko November 20, 2010 6:54 pm

    Oh no! Pilares hurt

  209. Matt November 20, 2010 6:54 pm

    Pilares is hurt. Not good.

  210. Okole Maluna November 20, 2010 6:54 pm

No Sack for 1st Half OL is doing a Great Job

  211. Shoko November 20, 2010 6:54 pm

    Looks like a hamstring.

  212. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:54 pm

Too bad for Kealoha, I saw him hobbling earlier, hammy pulls suck

  213. LizKauai (iPad) November 20, 2010 6:55 pm

Hope the fight fans head for the stadium now! Congrats BJ Penn!

    Yike, Pilares!

    GO Warriors!

  214. Okole Maluna November 20, 2010 6:55 pm

Smart play by Bradley stepping out of bounds

  215. Matt November 20, 2010 6:55 pm

Good play Rodney Bradley. Need a quick shot into the end zone or throw it away.

  216. LizKauai (iPad) November 20, 2010 6:57 pm

I am enjoying the game with Jett Jasper’s grandpa at his JJ’s Broiler in Kalapaki.

    So awesome!

  217. Matt November 20, 2010 6:58 pm

FG Enos. 20 point Warrior lead. Not bad.

  218. Konaboy November 20, 2010 6:58 pm

  222. Shoko November 20, 2010 7:13 pm

Seems like the Aztecs migh be a force to reckon with in the near future. Coach Hoke has made excellent progress.

  223. madeinhawaii November 20, 2010 7:13 pm

    Hopefully they have a future.

  224. Konaboy November 20, 2010 7:15 pm

glad to hear KP only had a charlie horse!

  225. BleedGreen808 November 20, 2010 7:16 pm

Coach Mack said Pilares had a charlie horse rather than re-injuring his hamstring. Good to know.

  226. madeinhawaii November 20, 2010 7:19 pm

How about we pull a Coach Gib here and replace everyone to start the 2nd half?

  227. wafan November 20, 2010 7:21 pm

    The 5-0, again!

  228. Shoko November 20, 2010 7:23 pm

    Good grief! D-line is pawning SJSU’s O-line.

  230. Konaboy November 20, 2010 7:24 pm

  231. Shoko November 20, 2010 7:27 pm

Looks like the Spartans are going to get a heavy dose of Green this half.

  235. Ronnie November 20, 2010 7:28 pm

    “The entire line moved”

  236. Konaboy November 20, 2010 7:28 pm

    sjsu should be offended, LoL

  237. Shoko November 20, 2010 7:29 pm

Salas is a beast, future pro right there.

  251. Shoko November 20, 2010 7:42 pm

The elbow is just and extension of his hands. Don’t they know that.

  252. Matt November 20, 2010 7:43 pm

    the whole line moved again

  261. Chee! November 20, 2010 7:48 pm

WT….Warriors need to step it up!

  262. Matt November 20, 2010 7:49 pm

If the whole line moved, I think Tiwanak is on the wrong snap count.

  263. Dennis Halloran November 20, 2010 7:49 pm

Utes up by four after two 3rd quarter scores

  264. Matt November 20, 2010 7:50 pm

Almost time for the backups to come in.

  279. d1shima (Aria'd) November 20, 2010 8:03 pm

It’s a shame that this must be the poorest student turnout of the year. Koakane and (J)James look lonely.

  280. Dennis Halloran November 20, 2010 8:04 pm

Aztec Qb threw a int with 121 left in 4 th utes up by 4

  281. d1shima (Aria'd) November 20, 2010 8:05 pm

Check that. They just left. 😆

According to SI game stats- Moniz had 560 yards > 559 yards Brennan vs. ASU- UH single game record. BTW, NCAA record Klingler at 716 yards in 1990 vs. E.Washington.

  310. Cheyah! November 20, 2010 9:55 pm

Kinda wished they left Brennan’s record intact. Not to take away from Moniz accomplishment but this game was a scrimmage. When they mentioned the record was from the bowl game against ASU, I said damn, i remember that game! What a memorable game on National tv and against a bcs team. Now when you compare it to today’s game, it pales in comparison. Just saying…

    Still good job Warriors!

  317. Not an Expert November 20, 2010 10:25 pm

Coach Mack had a tougher act to follow. Hawaii having a winning year going to the Sugar bowl. Expectations moving higher. That was a pinnacle year for UH football. To maintain that higher level and continue was quite difficult and many times when one is at the top only place to go is usually down. How far down is the question.

JJ came in after the football program was at its lowest ebb. No place to go but up. After mediocre and losing seasons people expectations were not very good. JJ coming brought enthusiasm and hope. Winning the first year brought back the fire. The second year not that great but the fans accepted it and believe with recruiting and JJ at the reins UH was headed on the right track.

Ditto for JJ going to SMU. Smart guy his agent and him. If at the end of 5 years and mediocrity sets in at SMU, things will not be the same for JJ. They are expecting more. As they say when you expect certain things in life and not having it come out the way one thinks usually brings greater disappointment.

Both coaches did a good job in the situations they were in. Only time will tell how we will view both as they continue to coach at the college level.

I really believe that Coach Mack should be in the running for WAC Coach of the Year. Of the top three teams, he had the least amount of returning starters and the Warriors have greatly outperformed conference expectations.

But then.. now that we are leaving the WAC, too….

    Great morning, gang!

Play I loved: Fake to Green coming out of the backfield… then throw to him at the 3 yard line… but, oh no, he dropped it! He was so wide open, he didn’t know what to do! Still a great play to have installed. Good to see we’re constantly working on new stuff, even though it’s an age-old play.

Still looking for our “Elephant” package.

Despite the huge numbers for Moniz last night, many of his passes were short. Good thing our receivers had enough time to make quick adjustments to the ball. But, many would’ve been easy TD’s, had he led our receivers instead of forcing them to slow down and/or come back.

Was good to see Rausch in there for a short time, since he’s a senior. But, his passes seemed to float. They just didn’t have much zip on them. Would like to see us develop our younger guys with the last couple of games.

D-Line was on fire. And all the talk of SJSU not giving up sacks… wow! Eight sacks = $4k for the UHAD! I love the aggressive nature of our defense now. Sure, we gave up a couple of big plays, but we made some great take-aways too. Way to go, boyz!

Continued healing prayers to all those in need!

    Go, Warriors!!!

I pictured a 12-team MWC a few years ago, with Western & Mountain divisions. However, pictured it at the time with BYU & Utah. Other than that, I did include Boise, Fresno, and Nevada in the MWC with Hawaii. WAC disbands with LA Tech-C-USA, USU,NMSU,&Idaho-back to Sun Belt, SJS-down to I-AA. Here is how I picture a 2-division MWC:

Western Division- Hawaii, Fresno State, San Diego State, Nevada, UNLV, Boise State

Mountain Division- Air Force, Colorado State, Wyoming, New Mexico, TCU, (Houston or UTEP)

  343. Garret November 21, 2010 5:34 am

The Sagarin ratings are out (note to MIH: only the Sagarin-ELO column counts for BCS AQ points) and UH *dropped 3 spots by beating SJSU*. The same thing happened to BSU and Nevada this season–you actually DROP in the computer rankings when you beat bottom feeders…that would make it impossible for UH to rack up the computer points and make a BCS bowl if UH had stuck with the WAC6+D-IAA schools.

Remember, UH went up several spots during the bye week and was #27 last week. UH needs to get into the top 25 in the BCS standings to boost AQ criteria, so it will need the voters to boost them because the computers will hurt UH over these final 3 weeks against bad teams.

  344. Garret November 21, 2010 5:35 am

Benson is trying to preserve the WAC’s NCAA basketball autobid (and the $3 million per year that the WAC gets from its basketball credits), but the new rule that he is counting on may not be passed.

Per the NCAA’s “continuity-of-membership” clause each basketball conference needs a minimum of six Division I members who have been together at least six years. Beginning in 2012, the year Hawaii reportedly will leave for the Mountain West, the WAC will have only five such members.

However, Benson said pending NCAA legislation will allow the WAC to keep its automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

“We’re anticipating the new NCAA legislation that is expected to be adopted in January that eliminates the continuity-of-membership issue,” Benson said Friday morning.

Told of Benson’s comments, one Division I-A official said, “I can’t imagine that that [legislation] would get through.”

    http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/6270202/25926271

  345. Garret November 21, 2010 5:37 am

Benson says that the WAC could keep on getting the money the BCS gives every non-AQ conference even if they have just 7 schools after UH leaves. The WAC would no longer be a D-IA conference, though.

The BCS does not require a minimum number of conference members, according to Benson. Benson said the NCAA requires a minimum of eight conference members but that is only for NCAA governance purposes. The WAC could still compete in football with the seven members. The league would not be listed as Division I-A.

“It [number of members] doesn’t matter for this contract,” said one person familiar with the BCS process. “It remains to be seen what happens in the next contract.”

    http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/6270202/25926271

  346. Garret November 21, 2010 5:41 am

Benson told the San Antonio newspaper that the WAC will be fine, assuming that the NCAA passing the new rule for conference continuity. Benson also talks again about the WAC having just 7 football teams and seems to be trying to convince people that will be okay…which indicates that Benson doesn’t think they can add any other D-IA football school.

Current NCAA rules require a core membership of six teams that have played together for at least five years in order to retain the berth. The WAC would no longer meet that stipulation should Hawaii, as numerous reports indicate, finalize an apparent agreement to join the Mountain West Conference.

“On July 1, 2012, we will have eight members,” he said. “We’ve been told by the NCAA that satisfies membership, assuming the new legislation is adopted. And we expect it will.”

“Could this be a seven-team (FBS) league in football? The answer is yes,” he said.

    http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/Legislation_could_save_WAC_berth_109600044.html

  347. Garret November 21, 2010 5:42 am

I guess we have finally found a difference between D-IA and FBS…Benson says that a 7-team WAC would be FBS even though it is not a D-IA conference.

  348. Garret November 21, 2010 5:43 am

Note that all of Benson’s hopes for the WAC rely on the NCAA passing new legislation. There is no backup plan if the legislation is not passed soon.

  349. Garret November 21, 2010 5:54 am

    Pomai,

You posted on Friday that I was quiet, but I spent 15 straight hours (5 hours driving, 10 hours in meetings) on Friday without a computer due to work reasons. I posted Friday morning right before I hit the road. I had 30 minutes during that entire time to respond to some e-mails with my phone, but I had no time to do anything else.

On Saturday I had a conference, and just when I thought I would have some free time I found out that my 7-year-old’s best friend (one of the twins that she has been inseparable with for more than a year) has a *large* tumor in his brain. We have been trying to do what we can for the family (take care of their other kids so the parents can spend more time in the hospital, bring food, bring things for their 3 young kids to do at the hospital, etc.) and that is a higher priority than the blog right now for me.

My parents arrive today so I’ll basically be off the blog for a week. When we aren’t helping out that family (such good parents and kids, such a sad situation) I’ll be doing stuff like taking my parents to Disneyland or visiting with Uncles/Aunts with them.

  350. Garret November 21, 2010 6:07 am

It appears that TCU’s Board of Trustees has a Conference Call scheduled for Tuesday…they are expected to have their Board approve the move to the Big East then.

  351. Garret November 21, 2010 6:11 am

The mtn TV contract really upset BYU because Comcast did not live up to the promises they had made about the mtn channel. It is sad that UH will be under that contract for 4 years if things don’t change. This indicates that there will NOT be replays of UH games.

The man who helped negotiate the MWC’s TV contract, Real Salt Lake owner David Checketts, said the current owners of The Mtn., Comcast and CBS, “didn’t live up to any of the promises they made to BYU. … In my view, they couldn’t have messed this up any worse.”

If you’re looking for when things went wrong, look no further than the second week of September 2006. BYU Broadcasting was planning to replay the football team’s 49-24 win over Tulsa when word came that Comcast — the operating partner of The Mtn. — was threatening legal action if that happened.

“Basically, we had the understanding that we’d be having what we have (beginning in 2011) with ESPN,” said BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe. Games not telecast by The Mtn. would be available for BYUTV. And BYU would be able to rebroadcast games.

Checketts said Comcast did, indeed, promise BYU those rights.

Behind the scenes, BYU officials have been trying to get what they were promised since The Mtn. launched. Later in 2006, Checketts arranged a meeting in New York between CBS and Comcast executives and BYU’s top athletic adminstration, including university President Cecil O. Samuelson.

“President Samuelson made just an impassioned plea [for them] to live up to the promises they’d made to BYU once upon a time. And he was assured that they were going to do it,” Checketts said. “They apologized to him.”

But a few months later, CBS C’s Tony Petitti left to run The Baseball Network. “And the Comcast guy just didn’t live up to one thing that he said he’d do,” Checketts said.

    Garret,

Very interesting about the pending NCAA legislation. It doesn’t surprise me that Benson has no backup plan. I would still be very worried if I were a WAC member in 2012. It seems to me the seven team league doesn’t matter to the BCS (at least right now), but does to the NCAA. I would think if the NCAA doesn’t accept the WAC as a D-IA conference, the BCS will quickly amend their rules to reflect that. How often do they meet to revise those rules? Benson is hedging his bets on a technicality and making a lot of assumptions. He can use all of the smoke and mirrors he wants, but in the end, things don’t look good for the remaining WAC teams.

We should be at Disneyland on Monday. My parents don’t arrive until tonight.

  361. Garret November 21, 2010 6:43 am

The Big West seems happy about adding UH and there is speculation that SJSU could join the Big West.

The Big West is perfect for Hawaii, with contained travel costs for all sports and synergy with basketball, baseball and volleyball. It is good for the Big West, because Hawaii would lift the RPI in key sports and, most importantly, enable the conference to sponsor men’s volleyball.

Five Big West schools play men’s volleyball, and six are needed to be a conference that can seek an automatic bid for its champion.

Right now, all of the schools in the west play in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, undoubtedly the toughest conference in any NCAA sport.

Having a second conference in the west would also force the NCAA’s hand to expand its tournament from four teams to eight, which is good for the sport in general. Also notable: There isn’t another available D-I school in the west that sponsors men’s volleyball.

If San Jose State sought membership in the Big West while playing football elsewhere, schools would likely welcome them based on past relations, its CSU ties and its market (‘Frisco-adjacent), even if the Spartans add just a little in the way of power ratings in other sports.

    http://www.presstelegram.com/sports/ci_16665203

  362. wafan November 21, 2010 6:47 am

So odd to hear how a conference is welcoming UH because it would raise their ranking.

Hoping it will be the case for every major UH sport — very soon!

  363. wafan November 21, 2010 6:49 am

Garret… as always, we gotta take care of priorities. Hope things work out for that boy and his family.

As for us, Disneyland is okay, but we really loved going to LegoLand. The last time we went to Disneyland, my oldest son was terrorized by the Mad Hatter. Whomever was in that costume back then was really rude, as my son was only 7 at the time. But the drive up down to Carlsbad wasn’t bad, and there were so many things I could actually do with him on the various rides and displays. Plus, he really loved driving those go-karts through the Driving School.

Anyways, always good to see family. Hope you all have a great time!

Garret, sounds like a WINNER at the Magic Kingdom for Monday. I may have

an obligation on that day pending on time as early morning may keep me away

from entering into the park until afternoon.

Can you give me a time frame when you see your self there with love ones ?

  366. RainbowCliff November 21, 2010 7:19 am

Michigan Warrior, sorry to hear the bad experience of your son with the Mad Hatter. Personal has changed quite a bit at the Magic Kingdom and NEW attractions has been added on. Disneyland has put ALL their employees into customer service workshops as I can personally attest that bright and smiling faces will greet you every where around the park.

Legoland is WONDERFUL in it’s own right as I had the experience with Garret and his family

enjoying the sites and sounds of minature wonderland that Legoland truly is !

Carlsbad is a nice drive with cozy shopping and food areas. Hope one day you will return !

  367. RainbowCliff November 21, 2010 7:23 am

Well good folks I am off on this rainy day in Los Angeles. Will see you later after my laundry and grocery shopping duties are done as Mrs. Rainbow Cliff has given me my ORDERS !

    Pleasant morning to all !

  368. Pomai November 21, 2010 7:30 am

Garret if you have the time. It would be nice to see the pros of us going to the MWC $$$wise. Also the MWC TV deal is about up isn’t it, if so will there be a bidding war for it between ESPN and MTN? Also I found out last night that the WAC is part owner of the Hawaii bowl, so how will they be able to move the bowl tie-in from the WAC to the MWC if they are even thinking of that? Sure there will be more questions than answers until the deal is signed sealed and delivered.

  369. Garret November 21, 2010 7:38 am

    Michigan Warrior,

My family has lifetime passes to Legoland. In fact, we can bring people for free from now until Christmas, but the family we were supposed to take today will instead be at the hospital while their 7-year-old son has brain surgery. If you ever make it out here and your kids want to go to Legoland, let me know!

  370. Garret November 21, 2010 7:39 am

    RainbowCliff,

I’ll call your cell phone tomorrow.

  371. Committed Road Warrior November 21, 2010 7:40 am

Is the MTN. even available on Oceanic digital cable? Not sure, just asking…

If UH football will be subjected to the current Mountain West TV deal for the first year or two once they jump over, I guess we’ll be at the mercy of the MTN/CBS-CS/Versus in regards to our kickoff times for home games. Hopefully one of those networks likes the idea of an 11:15pm Eastern time night-cap, because if not, I sense plenty of 4pm (or earlier) kickoff times in September, October, and November prior to the rest of the country rolling their clocks back.

  372. Garret November 21, 2010 7:41 am

    Pomai,

The Hawaii Bowl will be a WAC bowl through this bowl cycle, but it will be a free agent again in 2014 or so. I don’t know if the WAC will have enough teams to send a bowl-eligible team to the Hawaii Bowl after UH leaves…remember, UTSA and TXST will not be eligible and wins over them will only count as D-IAA wins but losses will count fully.

  373. bighilofan2 November 21, 2010 7:42 am

    Good morning Tsaikos everywhere.

great game. great Tgate. great friends.

and most importantly, great info from Rep. Takai.

    and insight from Koakane.

but bruddaz, we going Mountain West already. dunno if going pay for south endzone or upper deck 40 yard line. but we going, no ifs anz or buttz.

  374. bighilofan2 November 21, 2010 7:48 am

okay, now fo cruisin in kawa’afiberglass wit MP and kakailiili.

    have a nice day Tsaikos.

    essme wooooshhhh….

  375. Garret November 21, 2010 7:51 am

    Pomai,

Regarding the TV deal, it appears that the current contracts for the MWC run through 2015-2016. The amount it pays is currently under negotiation–Comcast used the mtn to force Utah customers to stay with their cable system instead of switch to satellite, but later DirecTV paid enough to be able to offer the mtn also. From what I read, 70% of the commercials on the mtn were geared to Utah residents, since they were the primary viewers of the channel. That will obviously change.

    As of today:

MWC schools get $1.3 million in TV money

UH gets $2.9 million in TV money (WAC TV deal + Oceanic/K5/PPV)

UH is going to get less TV money in the MWC. However, the WAC TV deal was going to be *way* less after BSU left and then even less after Nevada/Fresno left. PPV would also go way down if UH stayed in the WAC.

MWC schools get more basketball money than the WAC or Big West, but UH won’t see a single penny of that.

The MWC has much better football bowl games than the WAC, which gives more money to their conference distribution.

So, expect UH to get less TV money when it joins the MWC for the 2012 season. But UH would have gotten less anyway and UH will have much higher attendance for MWC schools than they would have gotten for the WAC6 and D-IAA schools.

If UH loses the Hawaii Bowl, the Las Vegas Bowl has already said that they are interested in inviting UH…and the Vegas Bowl pays a lot more ($1.1 million vs. $750k) than the Hawaii Bowl. We *know* UH fans could pack the Vegas Bowl.

  376. PowderPuff November 21, 2010 7:55 am

Good morning, Tsaikos! Duffer, it was great to see you…thank you for the delicious goodies from Maui. Ah, Legoland…need to visit there one day – hopefully in conjunction with a future road game. And maybe a round at Torry Pines! 🙂

  377. Garret November 21, 2010 7:58 am

See everyone in a week or so…I’ll post if I have time.

  378. Garret November 21, 2010 8:00 am

UH is #28 in the coaches poll. Nevada dropped a spot after blowing out NMSU. I hope that UH doesn’t go backwards in the rankings after playing NMSU on Saturday.

    http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/usatpoll.htm

  379. Garret November 21, 2010 8:03 am

Looks like Central Florida might join the Big East instead of TCU. That would be *great* for the MWC, and they would then add 1 more team to get to 12. If La Tech could take the open C-USA spot they would save their program and further kill the WAC.

Tim: Anything new on the expansion front? Seeing a lot of rumors about TCU and UCF.

Paul Zeise: TCU is tricky because the Big East was hoping that perhaps they’d be able to get them as a football-only member and TCU made it clear they have no interest in that. It is either all-in or nothing. Central Florida, from what I have been told by a number of good sources close to this thing, is the one school who almost certainly will be a part of it. The wild card in it will be Villanova – if the Wildcats decide to bump up to Division I-A, oops, sorry FBS, then it solves some problems but that hasn’t been decided yet.

    http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10322/1104377-142.stm#ixzz15fNBEPuS

  380. Garret November 21, 2010 8:04 am

I still think that TCU will decide on Tuesday to leave. But it would be good for UH and the MWC if they stayed…

  381. PowderPuff November 21, 2010 8:05 am

Torrey! This is why I do not like typing on the BlackBerry. Slugger – YES! We may’ve talked to the same group of Aussies. How neat!

  382. d1島 November 21, 2010 8:11 am

    Great Morning All!

    Garret,

Best wishes for that child. Hoping things turn out for the best.

  383. Pomai November 21, 2010 8:12 am

The one thing I would hope that UH does with the move to MWC/BWC is to get the local Hawaiian transplants to come to more of the games in football and all the other sports, I have seen numbers in the 100,000’s of local people that live in and around the entire West Coast. There has to be a good market there someplace.

  384. d1島 November 21, 2010 8:16 am

    Pomai,

    You get ’em, right?

    Mahalo! 😉

  385. wafan November 21, 2010 8:18 am

With the Hawai’i bowl saying they will go where the Warriors go will they be Warriorless for a few years or will they figure out a way to still have the home team at home?

The loss of PPV revenue should be made up at the stadium gate if folks come out and support the Warriors in person!

The LV Bowl? A possible bidding war? Or a possible solution.

  386. d1島 November 21, 2010 8:18 am

    30,011?

Like I said to someone last night, I saw the eleven, not sure about the 30 thousand!?!? 😕

  387. d1島 November 21, 2010 8:21 am

Hard to imagine that many students “went home” already for Thanksgiving!

    To where? Kaneohe? Makakilo? Palolo?

  388. wafan November 21, 2010 8:22 am

If TCU is not invited to join the Big East and their BOR votes to move will they go independent or is there another conference interested in expanding.

If TCU remains in the MWC UH will be in quite an awesome conference!

  389. wafan November 21, 2010 8:24 am

Any chance mbb gets invited to the MWC after a few successful years in the Big West? Would it even make financial sense to go or to remain?

  390. d1島 November 21, 2010 8:28 am

    On the bright side:

great to see the defense pinning the ears back and getting after it last night. 🙂

nice to see Pilares back on the field.

and obviously, a nice night for QB1.

  391. d1島 November 21, 2010 8:30 am

    wafan,

I don’t think it will take too long for MBB and all the other sports to get used to the favorable travel situation of the BW. Same for the folks in the Accounting Office.

  392. d1島 November 21, 2010 8:32 am

…and if they are “successful” in the BW, the team ends up in the same post-season tourney anyway.

  393. Pomai November 21, 2010 8:38 am

I guess it’s a foregone conclusion that by going to the MWC we will be paying subsistence for the teams traveling here, I can see maybe the airfare, but not the hotel, meals and any other expenses that they in cure coming here because they would have those expenses traveling to any away game.

  394. d1島 November 21, 2010 8:39 am

Hope the Hawaii Bowl can upgrade once Hawaii moves the participation from WAC to MWC? It seems like a matching step up on the other end from C-USA might be a really good (and feasible) thing to do if Hawaii is going to woo’d by the LV Bowl folks.

Fans here used to turn out in pretty good numbers to watch ACC, Big10, Pac10,SEC teams.

  395. Kekoa November 21, 2010 8:53 am

    Cabana B.

    After midnite.

Police officer: “What are you folks doing here?”

Kekoa: “Cleaning up the Cabana officer.”

    Police officer: “Get leffovahs?”

Kekoa: “That’s what we’re cleaning up sir!”

  396. Shoko November 21, 2010 9:13 am

Man, its sad to hear about Colt’s condition. Prayers for his recovery. Thanks, ST, for keeping us posted on his situation and strength to his family, as I’m sure they are going through alot.

  397. Not an Expert November 21, 2010 9:27 am

A suggestion on the subsidy for schools of the MWC coming to Hawaii.

UH to pay a travel subsidy based on the highest air travel cost a school will have playing at another member school. I am pretty sure not one school in the MWC travels by bus to all their member’s city. That air travel cost to be minus from the air travel cost to Hawaii. UH to pay the difference of that cost. All other cost to be the responsibility of that school because they would have that cost no matter what.

Now the schools who uses Hawaii also as a recruiting tool should not make the commando raids flying in and flying out. How can that make any young man wanting to play for a school who says you will be going to Hawaii. When it is literally fly in, get to the hotel, practice, play the game and fly out right after. One gets to see more of Oahu on Hawaii Five-O. You are allowed a 13 game coming to Hawaii. Use that extra money that is made to help your team to stay in the islands and experience Hawaii at least a day or two. I’m sure it does not help recruiting players when they find out that a trip to Hawaii is a commando raid. Winning or losing in Hawaii is like winning or losing at any other road game. Why not make the best of tripping to Hawaii.

  398. Michigan Warrior November 21, 2010 10:04 am

Cliff… I’m sure the employees in those costumes had to go through some sort of training. I recall, shortly after our visit, that a woman was fondled by the person in the Tigger costume. That may have been the start of their renewed efforts to act accordingly with the public by way of training classes.

Garret… Thanks for the offer. Just don’t know when we’d get a chance to visit with any of the kids. The biggest difference between those two places, in my opinion, is although Legoland is geared towards the kids, the rides and displays are so adult-friendly. Can’t say that about that Sky Cruiser, though. If I’m not mistaken, that’sthe one where we sat in a roller-coaster type cart, and used our hands to pedal our way around the course. Man, by the end of the day, I was tired! And, the use of those simple little blocks in every single display will almost shock anyone.

As far as the Hawaii Bowl goes… I hadn’t realized it was partly owned by the WAC. I know it has ties to the WAC as far as that conference providing a team, if Hawaii is not bowl eligible. But, it had been my understanding that Hawaii would be invited to play in it as long as it is bowl eligible, and has not qualified/invited to a BCS bowl. If that’s the case, then it shouldn’t matter if we’re in the WAC or not during the last couple of years of that contract, as long as we’re bowl eligible and not BCS-bound. I couldn’t find any contractual info on any language regarding the Hawaii Bowl. All I could find is that the Bowl is owned by ESPN Regional Television… with no mention about the WAC as a co-owner.

  399. Michigan Warrior November 21, 2010 10:06 am

    #395… Kekoa… hahaha! Good one!

  400. momona November 21, 2010 10:17 am

There’s no way that students going home for Thanksgiving is the reason for the low student turnout especially when there is school this week. The real reason is we played San Jose St. and we came off a bad loss to Boise St. which cooled off many people’s excitement. And that’s unfortunate.

  401. Greatwert November 21, 2010 1:36 pm

  423. FX Broker Review November 24, 2010 8:22 pm

No single strategy can work all the time. Its good to follow a trend but there are times when we need to analyze if the current price level is peak or bottom and at those time we need to go against the recet trend or a reversal. Similarly technical works for short-term trading but we can’t avoid fundamentals. Even the combination of fundamental and technical can fail and we have to also understand the market or mass psychology and market perception. Above all the trading decipline can win the game. This is the reason that we kepy one section on Psychology on ForexAbode.com.

Windows DVD maker only support some special formats, like wmv, mpg, etc, more video formats are incompatible fromats for windows DVD maker, such as mp4, mkv, mov, etc, so I am using another better program RZ DVD Creator, it can directly convert any movies(all formats, include mp4 etc) to video DVD and burn to any DVD disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), and the burned video DVD can be played well on DVD player, better quality and more function than wdm. You can yahoo or google search and download RZ DVD Creator, work well, easy to use, hope it can help you.

The United Nations Security Council voted to condemn the sinking of the warship, although it did not name North Korea as the culprit because of resistance from China, the North’s neighbor and most important ally.

  511. britax marathon car seat covers December 17, 2010 6:27 pm

Honestly, I’d skip another Marathon and opt for the Regent. It holds him in a 5 pt harness to 80 lbs. It’ll last you much longer. Lots of kids hit the height limit before the weight limit on the Marathon. If your child is already FF then go with the Regent. You won’t be sorry. It’s a fantastic seat. I have one in my car for my nephew who is in kindergarten this year. He is between the 2nd and 3rd slot for height and is at about 55 lbs. He’ll be in it for years to come!
