McMackin: "I know his name now"

hero1

MOSCOW, Idaho β€” A few days ago, head coach Greg McMackin inadvertently botched kicker Kenton Chun’s name on the coach’s radio show.

After Chun kicked the winning 35-yard field goal today, McMackin said: “Kenton Chun. I know his name now.”

    The RV life is Awesome.

But reality kicks in back here in the islands.

Driving in a circle with a mobile home gets old and boring.

Back on mainland, driving lateral or on a north/south venture is all about the ride and stop overs.

Route 66 is still a treasure

  4. CoolEthan October 29, 2011 6:45 am

btw, Warriors- give those Vandals a harsh memory today.

  5. Matt October 29, 2011 6:46 am

  17. Hank October 29, 2011 7:13 am

Idaho will be focused and come out strong. They’ve been waiting for two-weeks to give UH a MTW goodbye.

…Will we have a repeat of UDUB, UNLV, San Jose?…or will the Warriors answer the call and come out ready to play!

  18. Slugger October 29, 2011 7:16 am

Steve Axman, Idaho’s offensive coordinator, was the HC at NAU for several years. I thought he did a good job. Gordy Shaw was also a coach when I first started working at NAU, but I didn’t go to FB games then.

    K, off to the market…

  19. Slugger October 29, 2011 7:17 am

    sorry wafan.

  25. Shoko October 29, 2011 7:22 am

I think Mo will pass for 400 plus yards against the Vandals. Brian Reader kind of throws alot of interceptions.

  26. Shoko October 29, 2011 7:24 am

Arkansas might just lose to Vanderbuilt (bottom feeder of the SEC) if they don’t get their act together.

  27. Shoko October 29, 2011 7:25 am

  33. CoolEthan October 29, 2011 7:35 am

The only problem with playing in a dome, No flyovers.

So Moniz gotta make his own flyovers with the air attacks.

Iosefa gotta be the boots on the ground, along with Moniz.

Throw the mix at those idaho guys, and they’ll be spinning in their tube sox.

  34. CoolEthan October 29, 2011 7:36 am

Why does Stephene write that Idaho the last stop on the WAC Farewell Tour? Where is the Nevada game being played in two weeks?

Looking forward to a UH ton of wins today.

  48. whitey October 29, 2011 8:19 am

i think it is because this is the last wac team we will play. fresno and nevada will be moving to the mwc along with hawaii, so we still play them in the future, but they are not wac teams.

  49. whitey October 29, 2011 8:20 am

Wrassle ‘um down from the opening whistle, put a foot on their neck, and don’t let up until they are ‘mashed’ completely!

O K; let’s use this to our advantage.

    Just Win, Road Warriors !!!

  54. NYUH October 29, 2011 8:33 am

    Shoko and Kekoa,

No, there to buy it back. We were at the canal when Obama signed the new trade agreement. New improvements to the canal will allow ships with 12,000 containers as opposed to the max of 5,000 today.

But the only canals I’m interested in today are those that are opened for our RBs to blast through.

  55. LizKauai (macbook) October 29, 2011 8:35 am

    Ah, Route 66!

Used to watch the TV program with Broderick as the salty old cop – never ever imagined that I would drive Route 66 when I left Ft Knox in ’68.

Caught 66 outside of Springfield, MO all the way to Cali – what the heck was the song about cities along Route 66? Recall Tucumcarie. – real catchy tune. Not “leaving on a jet plane”.

I was so surprised when we crossed the mighty Mississippi River on the Missouri/Kentucky border – it was a mere stream or very small river at that point.

We overnighted in Las Vegas, but never ever thought to visit a casino – had no idea what a casino was in 1968 – had a lot of cash – darn where did it all go? oh yea, I blew about $1,500 in a month going to Korean bars – then, reality set in and had to look for a job.

    punt coming up

  126. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:14 am

    Vandals ball on the 15.

  127. BowsForever October 29, 2011 11:14 am

Why does it always seem like Moniz is sometimes much LESS accurate than his 63% completion percentage implies?

    Frustrating!

  128. Hank October 29, 2011 11:14 am

our D will have to keep us in the game until our offense wakes up…

  129. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 11:15 am

Blacked out? I’m watching it live here in Georgia.

  130. BowsForever October 29, 2011 11:15 am

Well, it is a road game.

  131. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 11:15 am

    @127

    I completely agree…

  132. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:15 am

wNY I agree, they should slow down on offense, till they get their timing. They look like they are rushing themselves.

  133. Matt October 29, 2011 11:15 am

I think she means it’s blacked out in Hawaii.

  134. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 11:16 am

    BTW,

For those who have Directv, the game is on channel 681 in HD…. Just thought I should pass that along…

  135. Hank October 29, 2011 11:16 am

BowsForever…i think it’s because his percentage beyond 20 yards is much less….

  136. BowsForever October 29, 2011 11:16 am

    Senior Slump effect?

(Not quite the same for Brennan though, because he played pretty hurt the entire season.)

  137. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:17 am

    2nd and 8 vandals at the 17

  138. Matt October 29, 2011 11:17 am

    Come on defense. Stop em.

  139. BowsForever October 29, 2011 11:17 am

Hank, that sounds about right. Moniz has the arm, but when I have seen the highlights/replays the spiral isn’t the best on longer throws.

  140. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:18 am

    Vandals to punt

  141. Jun Tao October 29, 2011 11:18 am

My gripe with Moniz is Rolo should call short routes so that the offense could get in sync and in rhythm. Far too many times Moniz is looking for the deep passes to the outside. Establish a connection inside and short…. which would then open up the outside.

but i’m just a fan. Have a great day.

  142. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:19 am

    2 and 8 ball on the 40

  143. Hank October 29, 2011 11:20 am

    …i agree Jun…

  144. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:20 am

    Iospa 1st down

  145. Matt October 29, 2011 11:20 am

Nice run by Iosefa for a 1st down.

  146. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 11:21 am

@132… looks like they are taking your advice..

  147. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:21 am

    Iosepa again for 5

  148. Matt October 29, 2011 11:22 am

    Moniz fumbles and Idaho recovers.

  149. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:22 am

Moniz sack and fumble at the 45

  150. Hank October 29, 2011 11:22 am

when Moniz fumbles in the 1st quarter…it is not good.

  151. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 11:22 am

    Another turnover…

    WTF????

  152. NYUH October 29, 2011 11:22 am

You gotta bench Moniz here. Let him settle down.

  153. Matt October 29, 2011 11:22 am

Terrible start for the Warriors on offense.

  154. Matt October 29, 2011 11:23 am

Come on defense. Hold em again.

  155. Matt October 29, 2011 11:25 am

    INT Paredes

  156. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:25 am

  157. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 11:25 am

UH is fortunate McBride couldn’t catch QB.

  158. Garret October 29, 2011 11:26 am

  165. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:31 am

  174. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 11:34 am

  175. duffer October 29, 2011 11:34 am

    Stutz!!$$$

    Yea xtra pt.

  188. Garret October 29, 2011 11:42 am

Brand new game now. UH needs to get a lead on Idaho, as Idaho’s confidence isn’t good right now and the quicker UH can get them down the quicker UH can put this game away.

Teams that have lost all 6 games they have played against D-IA teams won’t have a lot of confidence…but if UH lets them stick around in the game they could be dangerous.

  189. Buffoman October 29, 2011 11:43 am

    Really…why is Hopkins in there?

  190. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:43 am

4th and 9 vand to punt

  191. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:43 am

shutdown hawaii now 1st and 10

  195. Matt October 29, 2011 11:45 am

Alright offense. Your turn to bring it.

  196. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 11:45 am

    @188,

You are absolutely correct… Let’s get a score here and start the avalanche…

  197. Hank October 29, 2011 11:46 am

…our defense as usual….has stepped up so far…

  198. Matt October 29, 2011 11:48 am

Need to hold on to the ball dang it.

  199. Hank October 29, 2011 11:49 am

why we go long so often?…..i don’t know….

  200. Matt October 29, 2011 11:50 am

    Roughing penalty keeps drive alive.

  201. Matt October 29, 2011 11:51 am

Two personal foul penalties in a row for Idaho.

  202. Matt October 29, 2011 11:51 am

    Nice run by Sterling Jackson

  203. kawika49 October 29, 2011 11:51 am

    Jackson to the 8

  204. Buffoman October 29, 2011 11:54 am

    Here comes the fun part…kick!

  205. Hank October 29, 2011 11:54 am

    fg attempt…okay…here we go…

  206. Matt October 29, 2011 11:54 am

    FG is good!

  207. Hank October 29, 2011 11:54 am

    OMG!

  208. 808bowler October 29, 2011 11:55 am

    Horrible play calling. Jus horrible!!!!!

  209. Buffoman October 29, 2011 11:55 am

    Yeah! Not blocked!

  210. BowsForever October 29, 2011 11:55 am

The kicking game is too damn exciting.

  211. BowsForever October 29, 2011 11:55 am

10-7, could be worse considering the road game/sputtering offense.

  212. Buffoman October 29, 2011 11:56 am

I agree, terrible, predictable play calling.

  213. BowsForever October 29, 2011 11:57 am

Veneri a good proxy for many Hawaii fans’ thoughts about kicking…

  214. A-joe October 29, 2011 11:58 am

    Containment!

  215. 808bowler October 29, 2011 11:58 am

    Cmon defense lets go

  216. Buffoman October 29, 2011 11:58 am

#23 bit on the fake and lost contain. Got to worry about special teams.

  217. 808bowler October 29, 2011 11:58 am

    Dbs too far off

  218. BowsForever October 29, 2011 11:59 am

We gave ’em the 42? Eh…

  219. Buffoman October 29, 2011 11:59 am

Tackling is still terrible. Doesn’t anyone demand fundamentals?

  220. A-joe October 29, 2011 12:00 pm

    Come on D!

  221. MattyBoy October 29, 2011 12:01 pm

    Rolo is so predictable!!!

  222. Matt October 29, 2011 12:01 pm

    Nice stop Big D!

  223. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:02 pm

Ya rolo is too predictable this year……..cmon

  224. Moniz sucks October 29, 2011 12:02 pm

Moniz is the worst player ever. Mckmiffin will get fired soon.

  225. MattyBoy October 29, 2011 12:03 pm

An he’s still having Moniz throw the long ball when he can’t. He’s so inaccurate!

  226. Moniz sucks October 29, 2011 12:03 pm

Kahuku should give uh a run for their money

  227. Moniz sucks October 29, 2011 12:04 pm

    Valdals win. 68-14

  228. Moniz sucks October 29, 2011 12:05 pm

Defense is to fat a slow. Parades needs to cut down 80 pounds

  229. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:05 pm

    Should be off setting

  230. Matt October 29, 2011 12:05 pm

That’s a B.S. call. What the hell is that? If anything, it should be offsetting penalties.

  231. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:06 pm

    Blah we got this……

  232. Moniz sucks October 29, 2011 12:07 pm

MOniz needs to concentrate on watching defensive tapes instead of breading his hair.

  233. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:07 pm

    It should be offsetting

  234. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:08 pm

Don’t think idaho going score fda rest of fda game. Their qb no gud.

  235. Chad Owens October 29, 2011 12:08 pm

    Let’s go rainbow wahine football

  236. Buffoman October 29, 2011 12:09 pm

The announcers are stupid. If the offensive player touches the facemask, the defensive guy can grab the opposing guys facemask with no penalty? Never heard of that rule.

  237. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:09 pm

Moniz don’t have timing with da deep ball.

  238. duffer October 29, 2011 12:09 pm

Run da ball with Jackson and Iosefa

  239. djmitcho October 29, 2011 12:09 pm

They just played it’s tricky in the kibble dome, wondering if ST started to boogie in the press box

  240. Matt October 29, 2011 12:10 pm

    Nice catch by Pollard.

  241. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 12:10 pm

    I gotta say, Pollard is a Monster…

  242. MattyBoy October 29, 2011 12:11 pm

This “Moniz Sucks” guy is a total looooooser!!

  243. BowsForever October 29, 2011 12:11 pm

When he isn’t going off-sides the previous play, he’s not too shabby!

  244. Chad Owens October 29, 2011 12:12 pm

Come on, Mack sucks. Moniz reminds me of a pop Warner quarterback and rolo needs to quit

  245. BowsForever October 29, 2011 12:12 pm

Midfield’s a nice change from the 16! Go Ostrowski!

  246. BowsForever October 29, 2011 12:13 pm

Moniz is starting to get it?

  247. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 12:13 pm

    @242

    MattyBoy…

Completely agree… why the f is this guy evein posting on ST’s blog…

  248. Chad Owens October 29, 2011 12:13 pm

Moniz is going first round this year over luck

  249. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:14 pm

Pollard da man. Cmon offense find da timing boys.

  250. BowsForever October 29, 2011 12:14 pm

I don’t think this comments section is equipped with moderation tools, or at least, ST doesn’t have the time for stuff like that.

  251. kawika49 October 29, 2011 12:14 pm

monizsucks=chad owens who is this turd?

  252. Chad Owens October 29, 2011 12:14 pm

Bulk up receivers. WarriorNY. You are a wahine supporter. Go valdals

  253. Waikelewarrior October 29, 2011 12:15 pm

Come on we need this TD

  254. Chad Owens October 29, 2011 12:15 pm

Kawika you should be quarterback. Probably throw better then Moniz the gf stealer

  255. Chad Owens October 29, 2011 12:16 pm

    Holding. Woooooo

  256. Buffoman October 29, 2011 12:16 pm

Are we predictable? That is so lame play calling.

  257. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:16 pm

    Nice play by their defense.

  258. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 12:16 pm

We don’t throw any inside slants anymore…

  259. Matt October 29, 2011 12:17 pm

FG is good from 46 by Hadden!!!

  260. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:17 pm

    Yaaa 46 yard goooooooooooooooodddddddddddd

  261. Buffoman October 29, 2011 12:18 pm

Are these guys moving in slow motion?

  262. Timmy chang October 29, 2011 12:18 pm

    Let’s go warriors

  263. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:18 pm

That kick took so long they could have put ads on it.

  264. Waikelewarrior October 29, 2011 12:18 pm

    fumble

  265. BowsForever October 29, 2011 12:19 pm

Whoa. Well, the kicking team DOES need some confidence.

46 yarder is tough anyway. Nice work!

  266. Matt October 29, 2011 12:19 pm

sack of potatoes. Nice sack defense.

  267. Da Punchbowl Kid October 29, 2011 12:20 pm

    GLORY HALLELUJAH!!!

  268. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:21 pm

    Told ya their qb sucks….

  269. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:21 pm

Uh, why didn’t UH call a timeout?

  270. BowsForever October 29, 2011 12:22 pm

Is this the result of having a defense-minded head coach? I dunno.

  271. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:22 pm

Lol st but hey atleast we got a long fg. Gud to see hadden make it.

  272. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:24 pm

There were about 9 seconds after the McCarty run. Should have forced a punt. You never know.

  273. Buffoman October 29, 2011 12:24 pm

“This is a team that is looking to get to a bowl game, ” say the announcers. We’re playing like it. Just mediocre. This is not a top tiered team. Looking like this against a team that is 1-5 is just unflattering.

  274. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:26 pm

That was a dicey. Until that point, Hadden had more FGs blocked than made.

  275. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:26 pm

Then again, Dan Kelley was a 50-percent kicker his senior year.

  276. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:28 pm

By the way, it was a 47-yard FG

  277. BowsForever October 29, 2011 12:29 pm

Gary Dickman: Moniz not impressing the NFL scouts.

Well…let’s be honest. Moniz is NOT playing on Sundays at this rate, not even close.

  278. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:30 pm

Idaho had 41 yards on first drive, 53 after that.

  279. Buffoman October 29, 2011 12:35 pm

Realistically, we should only look to play in the Hawaii Bowl. Playing a .500 or better team in an away bowl is just in our favor. We are a terrible road team. Yeah, we may come out a just lay it on Idaho in the second half, but good or great teams just have one thing we do not…consistent good play..great fundamentals, like tackling and blocking. If you watch the receivers, aside from Miah and Pollard, the others stop when Moniz is not throwing to them. Polares, Owens, Bess, Grice-Mullen and Salas never stopped making themselves potential targets by moving.

Moniz is off, true, but he’s having to think too much as opposed to knowing. Knowing seems to occur when the parts know what the trigger man is doing and visa versa. Don’t see that this year.

  280. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 12:36 pm

BowsForever 277: Austin will. Mark my word. Saw his workouts this past summer hanging with the best of them. Brees, Rodgers, Daniels, the Oklahoma St…Shane’s arm stands up with the best. Especially the long ball.

  281. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:38 pm

Ya don’t think moniz be playing on sundays too. Think our dt have a shot and maybe aaron brown.

  282. kawika49 October 29, 2011 12:41 pm

The offense just does not seem to have battle pace. By that I mean; a pace that allows all the parts to attack with symmetry. At times, some pieces are in sync; while others are lagging.

  283. funny October 29, 2011 12:43 pm

47 yd FG followed by a kickoff to the 3 yard line. Nice.

  284. kawika49 October 29, 2011 12:43 pm

    monster masch

  285. A-joe October 29, 2011 12:45 pm

    Good job D!

  286. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:46 pm

    Cmon o lets go

  287. Hank October 29, 2011 12:47 pm

    Love the short passing game…

  288. Buffoman October 29, 2011 12:48 pm

    Looking like cr_p again!

  289. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 12:50 pm

    aaron brown definitely on sundays

  290. Buffoman October 29, 2011 12:50 pm

We have a hard time protecting the QB and go into a 5 wide, with long developing routes? Is that smart?

  291. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:51 pm

Boy wen we flat we flat but wen we in timing we roll.

  292. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:52 pm

I think the Warriors are focusing on Saturdays at the moment.

  293. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:53 pm

Every time I hear Michael Scott’s name, the theme to “The Office” starts playing in my head.

  294. kawika49 October 29, 2011 12:55 pm

    out of bounds

  295. Hank October 29, 2011 12:56 pm

looks to me like he bobbled it.

  296. Matt October 29, 2011 12:56 pm

I think it’s a catch. Only needs one foot down in college.

  297. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:57 pm

    Thats a catch

  298. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:57 pm

It all depends on whether they rule it was a bobble.

  299. kawika49 October 29, 2011 12:57 pm

    See?

  300. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:57 pm

    Yep, it was the bobble.

  301. 808bowler October 29, 2011 12:58 pm

    Guess I was wrong.

  302. Matt October 29, 2011 12:58 pm

Okay, I guess I was wrong it was a bobble. Good eyes Hank.

  303. funny October 29, 2011 12:58 pm

    the announcers are awful

  304. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 12:58 pm

Somebody caught the shuttle between Ruston and Moscow.

  305. BowsForever October 29, 2011 12:59 pm

    LaTech, the Sequel.

  306. BowsForever October 29, 2011 1:00 pm

    “Which Down is it Anyway?”

  307. kawika49 October 29, 2011 1:00 pm

the O has to be more deliberate.

  308. Buffoman October 29, 2011 1:01 pm

Hey, throw away the playbook you used the last time you beat them…they know already what you calling. Try soemthing new. Mybe the o could move a little better.

  309. kawika49 October 29, 2011 1:02 pm

    run, run run, pass

  310. papajoe2 October 29, 2011 1:03 pm

I pretty sure that these announcrs are the same ones that did the La Tech game that caused the 22 minute review. Because they are seeing it one way, they are convincing the officials in the booth to review. By the way, on the earlier facemask call by Pollard, I thought the booth cannot review a penalty.

  311. Timmy chang October 29, 2011 1:03 pm

Moniz can kiss my juicy ass.

  312. Hank October 29, 2011 1:04 pm

…somebody has got to wake up our offense and get them mentally into it…

  313. Timmy chang October 29, 2011 1:04 pm

Mack can put my balls on his face and sniff for a touchdown

  314. djmitcho October 29, 2011 1:04 pm

O-line isn’t very disciplined this game. It’s not that loud in the barn.

  315. Timmy chang October 29, 2011 1:05 pm

Parades needs to lose weight on his face and stop thinking he’s going nfl. Hea fat and sloppy and looks like brad pitt

  316. Buffoman October 29, 2011 1:07 pm

That was a very generous spot. ESPN must want UH in the Hawaii Bowl.

  317. duffer October 29, 2011 1:07 pm

    GO WARRIORS!!!!!!

  318. duffer October 29, 2011 1:08 pm

    GO WARRIORS!!!!!

  319. kawika49 October 29, 2011 1:08 pm

    wow nice catch

  320. 99club October 29, 2011 1:09 pm

    Great catch!

  321. A-joe October 29, 2011 1:09 pm

    Snap!! Wata catch Pollard!!!

  322. d1shima October 29, 2011 1:11 pm

    Zoinks!

  323. Hank October 29, 2011 1:11 pm

    sick.

  324. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:11 pm

    oh nooooooo

  325. Matt October 29, 2011 1:11 pm

Not good. Mo fumbles and Idaho returns it for a TD.

  326. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:12 pm

    lol moniz again

  327. Buffoman October 29, 2011 1:12 pm

Held the ball too long, Laurel is just not a very good tackle. He just does not have the feet.

  328. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:13 pm

    block that kick!!!

  329. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:13 pm

    3 to’s

  330. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:14 pm

to’s result in all of Idaho’s points …..

  331. 99club October 29, 2011 1:14 pm

    It was a pass.

  332. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:15 pm

That was the right call. His arm was held down.

  333. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:15 pm

    dang!!!

  334. 99club October 29, 2011 1:15 pm

“The ruling on the field is confirmed. The pass…” Unbelievable.

  335. 99club October 29, 2011 1:16 pm

I thought that he threw it as he was going down.

  336. Garret October 29, 2011 1:17 pm

UH’s offense is moving the ball much better than Idaho’s offense…as long as the turnovers are kept down, UH will win.

Still, it isn’t good to give a team hope when they have been beaten down all season.

  337. Waikelewarrior October 29, 2011 1:17 pm

Come on offense – protect your qb! Go warriors – get those potato heads!

  338. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 1:17 pm

If the defense is hitting his arm down, the ball shouldn’t fly forward, it would go backwards initially. From the view in back of the offense, he was throwing the ball, even though he didn’t have full range of motion. The ball didn’t get jarred out, he threw it.

  339. Buffoman October 29, 2011 1:17 pm

My goodness we sure know how to look bad, or we sure know how to make other terrible teams look terrific.

First UNLV, then SJSU and now 1-5 Idaho. Wow, If UH was a charity I’d give them money for being such caring folks. Giving all these downtrodden programs hope.

  340. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:18 pm

Think Carter go a concussion on the celebration.

  341. papajoe2 October 29, 2011 1:19 pm

ST, this person using Timmy Chang and Chad Owens name should be deleted. I don’t think the real former Warriors would post negative things.

  342. Waikelewarrior October 29, 2011 1:19 pm

Let’s go Warriors all the way down the field for a TD!

  343. Hank October 29, 2011 1:20 pm

…i think offensive tackles should tackle the DE if he gets past him rather than have your QB get blindsided…

  344. Hank October 29, 2011 1:22 pm

    …watch for the trick play…

  345. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 1:23 pm

    Offense not doing anything.

Let’s go, defense. Get it back.

  346. Garret October 29, 2011 1:23 pm

    Buffoman,

Idaho is 1-6, not 1-5. Idaho has lost all 6 games they have played against D-IA schools. If UH gets a lead of more than a TD against them I think they will crumble…but if UH lets them stick around like this they could be dangerous.

  347. whitey October 29, 2011 1:24 pm

    Bench Moniz

  348. Hank October 29, 2011 1:24 pm

…i hate the three man rush…

  349. 808bowler October 29, 2011 1:24 pm

Where is our offense? Offense is in halloween mode. Think they being casper da ghost.

  350. Hank October 29, 2011 1:24 pm

    bad call.

  351. Matt October 29, 2011 1:24 pm

We have a bad habit of letting bad teams stick around. They will just keep getting more confident as the game goes along.

  352. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:25 pm

Yikes, coach mac will not get a new contract if they continue playing like this……

  353. funny October 29, 2011 1:25 pm

    ????? No way

  354. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:26 pm

Moniz, can’t block and call the plays…..

  355. Buffoman October 29, 2011 1:27 pm

Poor tackling again. Have Torres teach these guys hard to tackle.

  356. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:28 pm

nice job by Idaho controlling the line of scrimmage but this crap needs to stop!

  357. Old Diver October 29, 2011 1:28 pm

    Is Shane Austin hurt?

  358. d1shima October 29, 2011 1:29 pm

    GO WARRIORS!

Take it to ’em in the 4th quarter! πŸ‘Ώ

  359. Da Punchbowl Kid October 29, 2011 1:29 pm

    Where is the passion?

  360. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:30 pm

asking too much for a the D to make a big play, but we need one!!

  361. Da Punchbowl Kid October 29, 2011 1:30 pm

GO WARRIORS!!! ONE QUARTER LEFT, YOU CAN DO IT!!!

  362. Waikelewarrior October 29, 2011 1:31 pm

OMG – why??? Get busy guys – always have to work so hard to get ahead! But need to stay ahead! We need to make some plays! PLAYS!!!!

  363. Buffoman October 29, 2011 1:31 pm

I think Moniz is also frustrated. Maybe best to have Austin come in. I cannot believe a team can look as bad as we do.

  364. whitey October 29, 2011 1:31 pm

Garret, stats might work, but we need a WB change.

  365. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:33 pm

    Buffoman:

Austin isn’t the No. 2 quarterback. Graves is.

  366. funny October 29, 2011 1:33 pm

Protection is breaking down. Let Iosefa help w backside pressure? Move pocket, let Moniz roll out?

  367. Matt October 29, 2011 1:34 pm

Great stop on 4th down defense!!!

  368. 99club October 29, 2011 1:34 pm

    Turning point of the game.

  369. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:34 pm

This is the Mo for Moniz….. his bad games are very bad ….think Tulsa, UNLV, SJ ….

  370. funny October 29, 2011 1:34 pm

    Big stop!

  371. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:34 pm

    …ask and you shall receive!

  372. Buffoman October 29, 2011 1:34 pm

WE’re just lucky that Idaho has worse playing.

  373. Matt October 29, 2011 1:34 pm

    ST,

I thought they were “bracketed” at #2.

  374. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:34 pm

i’m not too sure now is the time for Austin to come in. The D is fast and getting faster… Moniz should run

  375. Da Punchbowl Kid October 29, 2011 1:35 pm

DEY YOU GOOOOOOO!!! LET’S GO BIG O!!!!

  376. whitey October 29, 2011 1:35 pm

    WB = QB

  377. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:35 pm

no he is there ready and able

  378. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 1:36 pm

Need some quick release passes. Taking way too long for plays to develop, which is giving defenses all kinds of time to get to our QB.

  379. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:36 pm

Austin is the #2 QB…that graves thing was reversed

  380. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:36 pm

    Time’s a wastin’

  381. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:36 pm

    mo should stay in

  382. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:37 pm

Change up things and put AUSTIN in!!!

  383. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:37 pm

Moniz is sacked because nobody is getting open.

  384. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:38 pm

mo just needs to get his head on straight.

  385. Old Diver October 29, 2011 1:39 pm

I don’t get it. Moniz knows he has to get rid of the ball, yet choses to hold on to it.

  386. Matt October 29, 2011 1:39 pm

Idaho has all of the momentum. We need to stop them again.

  387. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:40 pm

No one was open but mo had enough time to get rid of the ball….

  388. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:40 pm

    This should be interesting.

  389. 99club October 29, 2011 1:40 pm

Rollouts for Moniz…give everyone some time. Let’s go WARRIORS!

  390. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:41 pm

I dont think the other qbs would do much better because our o-line is getting owned……

  391. mctruck October 29, 2011 1:41 pm

Must be the weather affecting their play; roll tide.

  392. Buffoman October 29, 2011 1:41 pm

Can’t they shorten the routes so Moniz can get off a pass?

  393. Old Diver October 29, 2011 1:41 pm

This is not a bowl quality team, and this is from someone who already purchased Hawaii Bowl tickets.

  394. kawika49 October 29, 2011 1:42 pm

    run, run, pass, run

  395. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 1:42 pm

    @379…

    You’re right… We need some kind of change… I can’t believe we’re losing to Idaho…..

  396. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:42 pm

ST: 365 – What u talkin about. didn’t you see the last 2 minute drill when they rested mo’s arm? that certainly wasn’t graves.

  397. kawika49 October 29, 2011 1:42 pm

Boy we are really passing gas here.

  398. Garret October 29, 2011 1:43 pm

UH needs the D to get a turnover and give the offense the ball in FG range.

Idaho could bitterly regret their decision to go for it instead of kicking that short FG on their last drive.

  399. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:43 pm

This is a damn good scrappy game! we need to pull this out!!

  400. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:43 pm

the routes are not the issue. It the receivers not getting opened, it is the o-line not able to protect, it is Moniz not making the best decisions…

  401. Garret October 29, 2011 1:44 pm

Hopefully UH’s offense can move the ball, but I still think that the next turnover will determine the game and I hope that Idaho is the one that gives up that turnover.

  402. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:45 pm

False start on the “entire offensive line?”

  403. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:45 pm

If the o-line cant protect …..

  404. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:46 pm

how come those long throws are consistantly 5 yards long?

  405. 808bowler October 29, 2011 1:47 pm

    Offense sucks

  406. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:47 pm

losing the field position battle ….

  407. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:47 pm

    lol, come on Rainbow basketball!!!!!

  408. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:47 pm

3rd’s and forever is killing us.. take a chance and run! the field position game is gonna win this game.

  409. Old Diver October 29, 2011 1:48 pm

Is Rolo keeping the trick plays for next week?

  410. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:48 pm

not asking for much but can we get another big play on D?

  411. Iwonderwhytheyhateme October 29, 2011 1:48 pm

    This is really sad

  412. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:48 pm

need to shake things up when there is still time to make a positive difference!!!

  413. GORG October 29, 2011 1:48 pm

Sheesh!! Seems the same as what I saw vs. New Mexico state. The WAC teams know our plays and routes well. Hell, I recognize our plays and routes and I just sit in the stands.

  414. kawika49 October 29, 2011 1:48 pm

    The D gotta score

  415. rasu begasu October 29, 2011 1:49 pm

how good are the Vandal DBs?

Mo is stuck in the backfield with no open receivers

how can the Vandals cover our wideouts AND blitz?

    are we being outcoached?

  416. 808bowler October 29, 2011 1:49 pm

Feel bad for our defense. They playing gud and offense suckingg

  417. Buffoman October 29, 2011 1:49 pm

This team is on the verge of a meltdown. If they loose today, I just don’t know if they can get a winning mentality back.

  418. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 1:49 pm

I have been a Mack supporter all year… But if we lose to to Idaho in addition to San Jose St. and UNLV… It makes me just sigh..

  419. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:50 pm

every team knows the other team routes and plays, that is what game planning and film is for. It is execution that makes the difference……

  420. 808bowler October 29, 2011 1:51 pm

Auwe waste of Money ordering this game. Had a gud feeling too. We lose think mack is done.

  421. MattyBoy October 29, 2011 1:51 pm

How many times do I have to say this…..Mckmackin is just not a head coach..this coaching staff is too predictable. I can’t believe this is happening

  422. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:51 pm

I will still be a supporter, the weaknesses of this team were known … o-line

  423. 808bowler October 29, 2011 1:52 pm

    Ya me too 418.

  424. mctruck October 29, 2011 1:52 pm

    com’on..another 100yd. interceprion return for a td!!!

  425. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:52 pm

It’s one stop or pau hana.

  426. whitey October 29, 2011 1:52 pm

Somehow don’t think the coaches can change their mentality.

  427. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:53 pm

no it is not “predictable” that is doing this. The other team is executing better ….

  428. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:53 pm

Ryan Bass is in for the first time.

  429. F00 Ling Yu October 29, 2011 1:53 pm

    Sigh…

If Idaho is able to punch it in for a TD, that is probably the game since UH offense is MIA.

  430. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:53 pm

    int!!!!!!!

  431. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:53 pm

We do NOT have to lose these games! We ave the personnel to win games!!! Nice catch!!!

  432. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:53 pm

    ask you shall receive!!!

  433. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:53 pm

No matter how this ends, it’s not Aaron Brown’s fault.

  434. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

    Finally!

  435. Matt October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

    INT!!!! Aaron Brown.

  436. 808bowler October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

Weakness is the whole offense this year. Offense suppose to get better as fda season goes along but we getting worse.

  437. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

up to the o to execute!!!

  438. Old Diver October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

    Now what?

  439. F00 Ling Yu October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

Timely INT! Make or break time for the O.

  440. mctruck October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

    Well,…almost a 100yd. interception return!?

  441. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

is it too much to ask for the Clapp now?

  442. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

Brown got it back for us and stopped that threat of a Vandal score.

C’mon, offense! Let’s get it together and move them chains!

  443. Iwonderwhytheyhateme October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

    O-line is atrocious.

    Get rid of Shaw today.

  444. kawika49 October 29, 2011 1:54 pm

    run run run run

  445. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:55 pm

Aaron Brown also made that tackle on fourth-and-1.

By the way, his parents are here.

  446. Old Diver October 29, 2011 1:55 pm

I have a plan, short quick passes.

  447. 808bowler October 29, 2011 1:55 pm

We shouldn’t abandon da run. Brown our mvp this season.

  448. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:55 pm

“Personnel” not playing as a team do not win…..

  449. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 1:55 pm

That play was ridiculous… why would they do that? Let’s Go Warriors!!!!!

  450. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:55 pm

    438 Diver – thats funny!

  451. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 1:55 pm

Be weird if it came down to a field-goal attempt.

  452. Garret October 29, 2011 1:56 pm

Idaho’s defense before this game (120 schools in D-IA football):

#107 in pass defense (worst in the WAC)

#92 in pass efficiency defense (worst in the WAC)

#105 in sacks (2nd from the bottom in the WAC)

  453. Shoko October 29, 2011 1:56 pm

Thank God Idaho is bad or the Warriors would be down big time.

  454. Old Diver October 29, 2011 1:56 pm

Forget looking for the fourth option. Just pass it quick.

  455. mctruck October 29, 2011 1:56 pm

awrite!!…Moniz, run up the gut wit your fancy feet!!

  456. postmanke October 29, 2011 1:56 pm

we might need a trick play the way these guys are playing us..

  457. 808bowler October 29, 2011 1:56 pm

We need our offense to step up RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

  458. Buffoman October 29, 2011 1:57 pm

Wouldn’t it be ironic if the game for UH is won by a field goal?

  459. Garret October 29, 2011 1:57 pm

I’ve been asking for a turnover for awhile now…but I was hoping the D returned it into FG range. Still, the turnover is great and the O needs to do the job now.

  460. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:58 pm

    nice job royce!!!

  461. funny October 29, 2011 1:58 pm

    move the pocket

  462. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 1:58 pm

it happened at army last year!

  463. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 1:59 pm

    o needs to make a play …

  464. A-joe October 29, 2011 1:59 pm

Receiving Corp need to step up! Who wants it!!

The Volt is used on the Nike soccer cleats Tiempo Legend IV – Summit White/Gold/Volt in some certainly interesting ways, lining the inside of the New nike soccer shoes, crowning the studs and highlighting the branding on the tongue.

You’ll notice on the Nike mercurial soccer cleats Elite model that it also appears on the heel tabs that boost visibility, and on small signature Nike Mercurial Superfly tick on the all-gold tongue. In a similar manner to the Orange of the launch colourway, the Mercurial Vapor Superfly Elite version of the Nike Tiempo Legend IV – Summit White/Gold/Volt matches Mercurial Vapors it’s contrasting tongue with some gold-coloured Nike Football Cleats laces that really finish off a classy overall look. The more we look at the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly latest Tiempo football boots from Nike, the more we like Mercurial Vapor Superfly 3 them!

  466. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 2:00 pm

If o executes, they will score …

  467. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 2:00 pm

If Miah ran out of bounds, why was the clock running?

  468. GORG October 29, 2011 2:01 pm

of course game films will let people know tactics…so why do we do the same stuff over and over again? Change it up…I haven’t seen them run the ball yet in the last few possessions.

  469. Garret October 29, 2011 2:01 pm

    Wes’side Warrior,

The NCAA rule change mandates that the clock be restarted even after a player goes out of bounds except for the last 2 minutes of each half.

  470. A-joe October 29, 2011 2:01 pm

Who wants the ball! Who wants to make the plays!

  471. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 2:02 pm

    Costly 5yard penalty

UH actually was in FG range.

  472. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 2:03 pm

    FG FG FG

  477. Matt October 29, 2011 2:04 pm

  478. Stephen Tsai October 29, 2011 2:04 pm

It if comes down to a FG, do you go Chun or Hadden?

  479. Old Diver October 29, 2011 2:04 pm

Makes you wonder why we weren’t playing the short quick passes for the entire game.

  480. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 2:04 pm

Sorry, thought the clock was just under the 2minute mark.

  481. mctruck October 29, 2011 2:04 pm

  504. Matt October 29, 2011 2:08 pm

Why did we use a timeout? If we make the FG, we just left extra time on the clock for Idaho.

  505. duffer October 29, 2011 2:08 pm

    Make that fg

  506. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 2:08 pm

  538. WarriorNY October 29, 2011 2:13 pm

    Garrett,

I hate to say it but no turnovers on Special teams should be a given… The fact that we worry about a FG makes me really nervous…

    What a squeeze

  575. Shoko October 29, 2011 2:18 pm

This has to be the most stresful game I’ve seen this season so far. Not the most impressive win for the Warriors, but a win is a win.

  576. duffer October 29, 2011 2:18 pm

    Woooooohooooo

  577. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 2:18 pm

    …wow, what a game…go Warriors!

  583. Timmy chang October 29, 2011 2:20 pm

UH sucks dick. Moniz needs to quit and start cheer leading that faggat.

  584. Waikelewarrior October 29, 2011 2:20 pm

Now I can give my baby (dog) a bath!

  585. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 2:20 pm

All I know is… we move the ball when we go with a quicker pace. We just gotta do that to start out the game and the second half. We gotta move them chains on a more consistent basis.

Glad that our Warriors fought to the end!

    Yeah, Team!

Our “Little Guy” is the MVP of this game!

  586. rasu begasu October 29, 2011 2:20 pm

realisticly, if we keep playing/coaching like this, we stand no chance against UNR and Fresno

Lets face it we barely beat a WAC bottom Feeder

  587. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 2:20 pm

the play calling the past few weeks in the third quarter has been strange …

I have a feeling that the hawaii coaching staff is trying to shorten the game

  588. Waikelewarrior October 29, 2011 2:20 pm

I don’t like you Timmy chang!

  589. MU October 29, 2011 2:21 pm

#583, You must live the lifestyle yourself, lotsa time on Hotel Street?

  594. GORG October 29, 2011 2:23 pm

Gotta work on the offensive game plan so our opponents can’t anticipate our every move like they have been doing.

  595. Old Diver October 29, 2011 2:23 pm

Oh well, lost a hundred, but the main thing is we won.

    Go Warriors!

  596. 808bowler October 29, 2011 2:23 pm

Aaron Brown won da game for us.

  597. MattyBoy October 29, 2011 2:23 pm

We are in for a long season.

  598. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 2:23 pm

WarriorNY: RETARDED…haven’t heard that one in a while…LOL

  599. Konaboy October 29, 2011 2:23 pm

A WIN IS A WIN. I thank our defense for keeping us in this game. O-line took a couple steps backwards today. That being said when Mo has time the Passing game is largely still out of sync which is surprising at this point of the season, being on the road seems to magnify the problems. If mo’s long balls were on we would have had alot more points. Last but not least: WAY TO GO SPECIAL TEAMS!!!!!!!

  600. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 2:24 pm

    Hawaii – 21 rushes for 15 yards

  601. GORG October 29, 2011 2:24 pm

Alright Tsai-kos!! Congrats to UH and everyone have a great weekend and safe Halloween. Laterzz

  602. Garret October 29, 2011 2:24 pm

A win is a win. They don’t give extra wins for blowing teams out.

Idaho still hasn’t beaten a D-IA team this season. Those 2 drives where they were well within FG range and got stopped on 4th down on 1 and had an INT on the other will drive their coaches, players, and fans nuts tonight.

  603. 808bowler October 29, 2011 2:24 pm

595 u neva bet da half too? Hawaii covered da half.

  604. Old Diver October 29, 2011 2:25 pm

Gonna have to win it back on the slots. πŸ™‚

  605. cocobean October 29, 2011 2:25 pm

A win is a win. Let the grumblers begin.

  606. Buffoman October 29, 2011 2:26 pm

Okay, it was an ugly win. Just got extremely lucky that Idaho called curious plays and we benefitted. Imagine if they just ran and kicked the chip shot field goal. Don’t know if we could ahve scored as we did not on our last drive.

Cannot count on other offensive coordinator being somewhat too sensational in their play calling.

The special team play was much better. Tackling still needs to improve. Our ability to figure out angles to the runners seem a bit off as we appear to give away more yards than necessary on the corners on kick offs and on wide runs.

O-line is just not that good. I hope we can get through the year in anticipation that we’ll have a better group next year.

We will miss Torres. He is such a fundamentally sound player as in Parades. Hanohano will be the beast next year. He looks good when he’s in there.

Funny, Chun saved two jobs with that kick.

  607. funny October 29, 2011 2:27 pm

In the 2nd half the Idaho D rushed the QB with zero worry about the UH run game. I know they like to keep Iosefa in to pass block but Jackson needs more touches. He adds another dimension to the O. It’s not like they were down 2-3 scores and he should had more than 3 carries for which he gained 21 yds.

  608. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 2:27 pm

Special teams got NINE of the 16 points today!!! and I thought we were a passing team that used to regularly get 30-40-50 point wins!!!

  609. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 2:27 pm

lol they need to work on their execution!!!!! O-line not protecting, receivers not getting opened and in-sync with moniz.

  610. rasu begasu October 29, 2011 2:28 pm

enough with the long ball, Moniz is a good short to mid range QB.

lets throw long passes just enough to keep the defense honest

lets raise the colective football IQ of the O Line

  611. Da Punchbowl Kid October 29, 2011 2:28 pm

    Pomai –

    41 – 21. Warriors to win.

    Thanks.

  612. duffer October 29, 2011 2:29 pm

I find it ironic that a last minute FG won. Redemption in a sense

  613. WarriorFan4Ever October 29, 2011 2:31 pm

like i said, just like Army win last year

  614. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 2:31 pm

I think they have to continue throwing the long ball. That stretches the field and keeps the defense honest….. I wonder how often was the

the long ball option one or even two…..

  615. Da Punchbowl Kid October 29, 2011 2:31 pm

Agree with 610. Breakdowns all over the passing game. The receivers, o-line and QB took turns having bad plays. Looked like the shoot ran way until that last drive. Gotta do better. MUST do better.

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  616. eagle October 29, 2011 2:32 pm

    E.G.,

ANY UGLY WIN Better than ALL Losses

Special Teams WAS A POSITIVE Difference

OFFENSE DID Put Special Teams in Position to Win (Unlike IDAHO’s O)

Defense Kept ’em in Game ALL Game Long AND Started W Drive W/Final INT

    WAC OFFICIALS D-MINUS … [AGAIN]

GOT TO Learn To Play the WHOLE Game ALL the Time …

OR RENO Will KILL Us …

  618. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 2:32 pm

    Good team win!!!!

  619. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 2:33 pm

Threw several bombs tonight… overthrew Pollard a few times; overthrew Davis a couple of times, although one was clearly because Davis stopped running before the whistle blew; also missed Stutz and Miah a couple of times each.

  620. Wes'side Warrior October 29, 2011 2:35 pm

    Anyways, we won! Main ting!

Happy… and looking forward to next week’s game. Big game too! One at a time.

    Heal up, Warriors!!!

Coming down to the home stretch run! Let’s get it done!

  621. Da Punchbowl Kid October 29, 2011 2:35 pm

Anywhooo… can’t really call this an ugly win. Ugly don’t say it right somehow. But gangeez, a win is a win is win. Gratz to the Warriors for pulling this one off. Next!

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  622. RedZone October 29, 2011 2:37 pm

    Whew!!!!! I am drained.

  623. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 2:37 pm

Long or short … Moniz has to make the right decision and throw to the correct option in the offense.

Feels like my first big inspection in the Army. The huge relief after we passed realizing that we passed. It’s probably how Kenton Chun felt after that field goal went through!

  629. postmanke October 29, 2011 2:41 pm

mama said there’d be games like these.. very impressive Idaho D. def didnt play like a 1 – and something team.

Way to hang in there O! I like the run game in the 1st half. that play action on the goal line was money! Sold! abandoned the run in the 2nd half but thats ok! However fugly, love win’s like these + good last drives. Character builder.

Not asking for much but if we can get one more great Defensive output for next that would be great!

  630. papajoe2 October 29, 2011 2:41 pm

Huge improvement need on our receivers’ blocking. Our blocking was terrible, especially on the quick pass to the outside. I don’t know if that play worked at all during the game.

  631. MattyBoy October 29, 2011 2:43 pm

Come to think of it…Hawaii in 2007 almost lost to San Jose and a couple of other teams that year..probably worse situations than this team..and they were a way better team with a sick offense. So I guess, a W is a W. I have a feeling that Nevada game is gonna be for the WAC title.

  632. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 2:43 pm

with a new o-line and receivers, I did not expect the o to be very good but hoped they would improve each game. I think the injuries to the o-line and receivers has been a factor in their improvement.

  633. WarriorMojo October 29, 2011 2:44 pm

Don’t look now, but NMSU down 7-6 to Nevada. They missed a PAT.

  634. Da Punchbowl Kid October 29, 2011 2:44 pm

Interesting contrast between the two heroes of the game.” Lil Magic” Chun and “Big Play” Brown. Nice!

A win’s a win. Just glad we’re not on the other side of that heartbreaker (SJSU).

One of these games we’re going to come out on fire, play up to our potential, and actually crush a WAC team.

  640. d1shima October 29, 2011 2:49 pm

Win two of three phases of the game:

    Offense: No

    Defense: Yes

    Special teams: Yes!

  641. Shoko October 29, 2011 2:50 pm

Hehe, glad Chun didn’t choke like Brotzman (aka wide left and wide right) in last year game against Nevada.

  642. Buffoman October 29, 2011 2:50 pm

If we play Reno at their home, I do not believe we will get a “W”. We just have not exhibited that we are a CONSISTENT enough team in all areas. Today we won because the special team played well, but the offense, for the most part did not. Defense was okay, but they still have problems on the edges and folks are taking advantage of that. I was amazed that they did not pick on Hopkins as other have to make their passing game balance their running game.

That Reno HC detests UH and would like nothing better than to embarrass us, especially if the game is televised. This should be enough to motivate UH to really get the three phases to work overtime to get up not just for that date in Reno, but for the rest of the season.

We have not seen it yet. We won, but we were lucky, not good. We have not yet evolved to create our luck by being fundamentally sound in all phases.

It is great to have a win.

  643. Shoko October 29, 2011 2:51 pm

NMSU is bringing it to Nevada. If they lose, that is good for the Warriors.

  644. d1shima October 29, 2011 2:51 pm

btw, maybe this coming week all the negative comments that going be coming up regarding the Offense going fiyah dem up like the Special Teams? πŸ˜‰

  645. tommui October 29, 2011 2:54 pm

well, even JJ has bad days too!

Wondered if we shouldn’t have run two plays at the end to knock time off the clock – of course we had the uncertainty of whether we could make PATS, let alone FieldGoals.

And to think, Chun was not certain to make the trip until Wednesday!

A win is a win is a win.

  646. funny October 29, 2011 3:01 pm

    A win is a win.

7-6 qualifies UH for another Hawai’i Bowl.

    Mack gets his extension.

    Low expectations continue.

    It remains all good.

  647. papajoe2 October 29, 2011 3:04 pm

Any explanation as to why we called a timeout after 3rd down, right before our game winning field goal? I thought we should have run down the clock, then call a timeout, then kick the field goal, leaving very little time on the clock so that Idaho couldn’t pull off a SJS.

  648. Buffoman October 29, 2011 3:07 pm

Watching that kick that won it. The guy on the end let the rusher in without an attempt at blocking anyone, hope that is corrected as it may come back to hurt us with a team more adept at blocking kicks.

The team is still out of focus. I just don’t know what it’ll take to have the individual members of the team to see that there is a sense of urgency to contribute to that team effort by running out the route, wrapping up and tackling, blocking, concentrating without false starting or jumping offsides. All things when done fundamentally properly in a well thought out game scheme puts a team in a good position to win.

If we get there, much of the negative comments would cease or at least be lessened.

  649. postmanke October 29, 2011 3:08 pm

#646 Yes. Low expectations met, and we should not be harping on our coach that he is not getting us a better ending. We made Hawaii Bowl, got to 7-6 to get there, did not beat a team with a winning record.

    A win is a win.

  654. papajoe2 October 29, 2011 3:13 pm

What about the facemask penalty on Pollard when the other guy clearly pulled him down by the facemask? Maybe the call was the right one or not, but I thought coaches or the booth cannot challenge a penalty. Otherwise the game would never end. The origianl call was a facemask on Idaho.

  655. BleedGreen808 October 29, 2011 3:15 pm

Beginning with Idaho, Utah State and Nevada will have two weeks to prepare for the Warriors.

    Congrats to the Warriors!

  657. postmanke October 29, 2011 3:23 pm

6 sacks tonight – i would credit most to the Idaho pass defense.- everyone looked to be in their spots. but still 6 sacks 3 turnovers? If we require sync in the offense those stats are sync killers. Rolo and company need to put in extra hours to figure out the kinks. the defense can only save your ass so many games..

  662. iwonderwhytheyhateme October 29, 2011 3:31 pm

Hey we won at least….or escaped the grips of a loss. Same either way.

Offense in general stunk it up.

Offensive line CONTINUES to be atrocious. McMackin needs to fire Gordy Shaw at the conclusion of this season and try and hire Robert Anae who is now jobless.

    *ending on a good note*

Defense took care of business and kept us in the game. +

Special teams and Chun did what they needed to do and got the job done. +

  663. cocobean October 29, 2011 3:31 pm

It’s hard to find rhythm and sustain drives when there’s breakdowns in some element of the O. Sometimes the QB is off target for a stretch of throws, sometimes the receivers can’t get open, sometimes the O line gets beat, sometimes the RB misses a read on who to block, sometimes the wrong play is called. It’s not on any one person or group.

The only thing the O can do is stick together – no finger pointing, avoid what’s being said in the media, make no excuses(injuries, lack of experience, etc.). Practice with focus and intensity for the most important game of the season. The next game.

I believe things will get better. It’s only a matter of time before they mesh as a unit.

  664. Buffoman October 29, 2011 3:34 pm

Defense and an Idaho Offensive coordinator who called plays like he was playing a video game. Those 4th down runs into Hawaii’s strength? Wow?!

That pass in their final march, the one that Brown intercepted? Who in their right mind, at that point in the game, would call that? especially when their defense was holding UH and a kick would have put them ahead?

WE need to be better. Defense was good but they got “help”.

  665. wowlaulau October 29, 2011 3:37 pm

Fire Gordy Shaw because hawaii lost all of their o-line and he now has to assemble an o-line with players with little game experience? What about the injuries?

    Really intense game so far.

  680. Garret October 29, 2011 3:54 pm

In addition to the well-deserved praise for Kenton Chun coming through in the clutch, we should also praise Tyler Hadden.

UH won by 2 points and Hadden kicked a 47-yard FG. That is *not* an easy FG at that distance, and if Hadden missed that then UH wouldn’t have been able to just need to set up Chun for the game-winning FG.

It must be tough for Hadden to know that he’s had so much criticism this year and he’s struggled in several games. Hadden is injured, hasn’t had the protection that kickers can normally assume, and he’s been demoted from his job as primary FG kicker. Despite all of that, Hadden came through with an awesome 47-yard FG and was one of the biggest (and most overlooked) plays of the game.

  693. A-House October 29, 2011 4:11 pm

Great job by the special team and defense for this win.

Many words/phrases to describe the “journey” – long pass went 0 for 8 or 9 (Moniz has great difficulty with accuracy with the long ball); offensive play calling became too conservative as the game progressed; “eating” the play clock philosophy I do not understand especially when you are losing; a “faster” pace seem to work much better – does not allow defense to “reset” and reduces “motion” penalties by the O-line; Rolo is not a risk taker; and, Tomey, why call time out when you’re kicking with 36 seconds left on the game clock and the kick went to the 3 yd line with the Idaho return leader out?

me trying to understand the “why”, but I cannot find answers.

I really thought UH was going to blow away Idaho – so much for my feelings!

Thanks to Madeinhawaii for stopping by to chat with us at Windward Mall food court!

  694. A-House October 29, 2011 4:15 pm

Interesting that UH made little or no attempt to protect the QB’s blind side – Idaho creamed Moniz at least 4 or 5 times one of which led to a “fumble” and return for TD – Moniz must be hurting by now!

  695. Top Refrigerators October 29, 2011 4:15 pm

    Hope NMSU beats Reno!

Interesting how the last 4 WAC games for UH their opponent gets a bye week before playing UH and ditto for the BYU game.

Advantage? So far, it did not work for Idaho!

  697. Buffoman October 29, 2011 4:28 pm

I wish I had that kind of supreme confidence in the team. It’s just that I am a history major and what is true about history is that there are very rare instances when history does not repeat itself in situations where time and again decisions and execution have not been altered to a point where real change occurs.

What we’ve been witness to in this year has been a consistent repeat in historic inaction. It’s very hard to change what history has given us. A team that is inconsistent. It’s hard to be as optimistic, when history at some level for this team keeps repeating itself.

  716. papajoe2 October 29, 2011 6:46 pm

Just watched the replay on 3rd down before the game winning field goal. Moniz couldn’t find anybody open so started to run but slides. UH then calls a timeout with about 35 seconds left. Why not wait 30 more seconds then call a timeout. If we make the field goal then time will expire or just 1 or 2 seconds left in the game. Now pooch kick. Ball touched, game over. Instead we call a timeout and give the Vandals a chance for a win. Mental errors by players is bad, but coaches unexcuseable. We have verteran coaches too. Should have been an automatic decision.

Okay, Idaho called a timeout. Announcers got it wrong. I’d say you guys are right. It was too obvious to miss that one by our coaches. E kala mai coaches. The announcers were the same ones that did the La Tec game. They had many, many wrongs today. I remember saying during the LaTec game that the booth referees were listening to the announcers instead of just watching the game on their own and screwing up that 22 minute review. The announcers were wrong on that one about the 5 downs that UH supposedly had. So you must be right. lol. At least I feel a bit better. Thanks Buffo and Matt.

    Okay, please allow my two-cents:

I honestly think it’s absolutely ridiculous that both Bryant Moniz and Nick Rolovich receive such harsh criticism.

Let me explain, Moniz is playing behind a God-awful offensive line, running for his life every play, either that or getting slammed to the turf.

    I’m speechless he’s so criticized.

Even on the long balls, he’s got to throw the long ball to keep the secondary honest. Point of fact, if Hawaii cannot throw it, and / or stretch the field, they cannot run it, period.

As for Rolovich being too conservative, consider the head man is a defensive coach. That pretty much explains it. He’s not allowed to open it up.

    (wowlaulau)

I love your posts tonight. Offensive line is so poor, by scheme, design, talent and philosophy.

Regarding the Warriors final kickoff, a squib-kick, really? The offense finally marches the field and gets a late field goal, then Hawaii decides to pooch it and give the Vandals great field position. Unbelievable!

And that decision was made following a timeout. Unbelievable!

Congrats to Chun, great clutch kick young man. Special Teams play overall this season, gross.

Some of the coaches really need to held accountable!

  727. d1shima October 29, 2011 8:27 pm

Mack said that they called the TO after lining up for the last KO after seeing how Idaho was lined up.

He wanted to eliminate the possibility of a KOR for TD so targeted an up-man (I think he said it was a TE)

How I read into this is that Mack wanted to leave the game in the hands of his strongest (and most favored) unit: the Defense

  728. al October 29, 2011 8:29 pm

    bleed green and white….incredible!

you must have extracted my very thoughts.

oline woes also should be attributed to the position coach.

  731. al October 29, 2011 8:49 pm

pooch kick when a fg is all that was needed???

squandering your only t/o because of indecision??? what if they scored and we needed to move the chains?

  732. al October 29, 2011 8:51 pm

players are to be commended for a valiant effort in this game.

  733. d1shima October 29, 2011 8:53 pm

In the preseason most agreed that the Defense was going to have to carry the Offense due to OLine inexperience, 3 of 4 new Receivers and new RB.

Eight games in it’s apparent that replacing 5 OL with the same 5 guys from the start of camp would have been difficult. Trying to do so while playing musical Center/Guards/Tackles is nearly impossible.

Hawaii didn’t have 3 NFL draft prospects to replace the 3 who moved on from the skills positions. Adding to that, at one point in training camp there were ZERO of the projected starters practicing at Receiver.

I’m glad the team still get chance for be 10-3!

  734. RedZone October 29, 2011 8:57 pm

I really liked that stunt Aranda called which allowed Laurel to get a hand in the qbs face who made a bad throw which was intercepted by Aaron Brown.

I thought that Hanohano and Moses were solid inside along with Meatoga and Tuipulotu. It was also nice to see Siaki getting some pt. I am really worried about our lbs. They look all dinged up and it is still a long way to go.

I think Stuz is really starting to come on.

  735. Derek October 29, 2011 8:58 pm

A win is a win and that’s good. At the same time, we know that Hawaii does not play well on the road. Moniz makes a lot of turnovers on the road. The kicking game came up big time at critical points in the game. The 47 yd. field goal by Hadden was huge as well as the last one with the game on the line. It was too close for comfort. But, it was a day of upsets which is becoming the norm. When teams start playing in the conference anything can happen. Play great one week, get blasted by the next week. Such as Texas Tech. Beating Oklahoma at home last week and today losing at home big to lowly Iowa State. To just come out on top feels very very good.

  736. WarriorMojo October 29, 2011 9:03 pm

If I remember correctly, Coach Shaw was being praised last year and even earlier this year for the fine job he was doing. I guess the kickers did their job this week and Tank wasn’t burned so the new scapegoat is the Oline? Kind of sad. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I really doubt that most of the posters calling out the Oline even know who plays which position.

  737. Ipu Man October 29, 2011 9:08 pm

    Good point by Garret #680:

“UH won by 2 points and Hadden kicked a 47-yard FG. That is *not* an easy FG at that distance, and if Hadden missed that then UH wouldn’t have been able to just need to set up Chun for the game-winning FG.”

I say, Good job by both young men!

  738. Ipu Man October 29, 2011 9:10 pm

Let’s face it, Idaho players and coaches did a good job, too.

  739. Slugger October 29, 2011 9:14 pm

    Yay!

That’s all I have to say.

  740. d1shima October 29, 2011 9:14 pm

Pass pro involves as much unit cohesion as most any other group. 5 OLinemen, RB and QB all gotta be on the same page to handle base rushes and stunts.

Throw in blitz packages and the Receivers better know what’s going on, too!

  741. d1shima October 29, 2011 9:15 pm

    Yep. Nice job Mr. Hadden!

  742. Slugger October 29, 2011 9:15 pm

  743. kev-1 October 29, 2011 9:25 pm

Ugly today, but it counts as a win. It was nice to have special teams win it for us too. That should provide some confidence. Come home and get ready for next week.

For any who watched Penn today . . .

I hope he doesn’t retire. I think he should just go back down to 155 for one last run.

  744. Slugger October 29, 2011 9:25 pm

    gmahoney,

Yup! Yay for St. Francis VB! We were watching the game at my bro’s.

St. Francis softball tomorrow morning at CORP. Hope I’m up early enough to get out there to watch my niece. She’s been playing baseball with the boys during her younger days.

  745. kev-1 October 29, 2011 9:30 pm

Bleedgreenandwhite . . . I agree with most of what you say, except about the long ball. I agree that they need to throw them, but Moniz is consistently overthrowing open receivers on deep balls. He needs to be able to connect on those. Otherwise, I do think he makes the best with what he has regarding pressure, etc. But he needs to improve his mid to long range pass accuracy.

  746. Graham October 29, 2011 9:31 pm

to be honest i never want to hear Moniz name in the same class as Brennan or Chang. He is not good at throwing the deep ball. The offense just is not clicking. I am happy with the win but not satisfied about how we played. Our offense is not getting it done, I hope they can get on the same page, it could be the recievers, quaterback, or the the line but there is defintitly something wrong.

  747. kev-1 October 29, 2011 9:32 pm

papajoe2, you out there? question for you . . . do you think the kickers move to the kick is a little on the slow side? It seems like it takes a little while for them to make their steps before they kick the ball. Just thought I’d ask you because i recall you having experience with coaching kicking.

  748. Iwonderwhytheyhateme October 29, 2011 9:33 pm

    Warriormojo,

You are definetly wrong about me (someone who is criticizing the O-line).

I never thought we had a great o-line since Cav left.

I also know all th O-line names and positions they play.

    Again, Shaw needs to go.

  749. d1shima October 29, 2011 9:34 pm

What is the likelihood that QB1 is sitting on the plane ride home thinkin, “Gol-lee, I throw a nice long ball!”

And that Rolo is watching film saying: Glad we got those long routes down pat!

    πŸ™„

  750. Iwonderwhytheyhateme October 29, 2011 9:36 pm

Okay, you say Shaw needs to go. Why? What is his deficiency?

  755. 808bowler October 29, 2011 10:04 pm

  756. Iwonderwhytheyhateme October 29, 2011 10:16 pm

    Warriormojo,

Guy doesn’t seem to know how to teach pass blocking or develop our tackles. The Kia and Steinhoff bookends were under his Wings too.

At the end of the season, we need to go in a different direction. Anae is jobless and is someone who has been teaching O-line in offenses that throw the ball all day long. He also has deep recruiting ties in Polynesian community and west coast.

I’ll be first to say i don’t know what technical deficiencies he has, but whatever it is or isn’t, it ain’t cutting it.

what ever happened to the quick slants over the middle to get the ball in the hands of slots on the move? we need to concentrate on the short pass to the receivers slashing. get stuz the ball more.

Some of the posts here are so incredibly offensive that I am going to skip over the comment section rather than pollute my eyeballs. Yes, I know all about the First Amendment, but you are attacking young men who are playing their guts out.

As for the coaches, do the righteous thing – address your concerns to the people who have the power to make a difference. Click http://www.hawaii.edu/dir/ to get the contact information for them.

I no longer read comment sections in the news sections either for the same reason unless there is some sort of oversight or requirement to use (real) names.

Congratulations to the Wahine teams this weekend – and for those of you who attacked Breanna Arbuckle last season, she was the glue that held the baskedball team together on both offense & defense tonight. I look forward to the team’s progress throughout the season.

Earlier, we listened to the volleyball match while watching the softball team give us a positive portent of things to come when the 2012 season really starts in February.

Will the Wahine volleyball team move into the NCAA playoffs? We’ll find out by November 23.

  762. papajoe2 October 29, 2011 11:25 pm

kev-747, I really thought the kicking problem was mainly because of lack of blocking. Things seem to snowball if the line cannot block. Criticism doesn’t help. Puts too much pressure on the kickers. Yes almost everybody would like to have the kicks quicker, even the pros, but it may be more complicated than just the kickers. The snap could be quicker and always has to be near perfect. The holder could place the ball quicker and more accurately as far as where and also the angle of the hold. The kicker has to get to the spot of the hold sooner. The ball could be kicked higher. The kickoff needs to be in or out of the endzone. There is a lot to do to make a kick “automatic”. I just wonder how much does the snapper, holder, and kicker practice together? Everyday? I’m sure the holder, being backup QB, needs to practice QBing. How often does he practice holding or placing the ball? Plus, there are multiple kickers so maybe less practice time with all three together. So if they want it to be automatic, then all three has to practice together a lot. I used to sit up high in section AA in Aloha Stadium. During 1 year, the kicking at UH was so bad that HA even said a high school kicker (mine) could kick better. A UH coach asked me what was wrong. I said it most of it was simple. The kicker was lining up wrong. From my seat, I could tell where the kick was going kick after kick, game after game. I was freaking out the people sitting close to me. So there is more to making a kick good than just swinging at the ball.

    six sacks

    ??? number of hurries

one int as a result of.a ball off the hands of the receiver

one fumble after being crushed from the blindside

not sure about the other fumble…but wasn’t it because of broken play.

    new receivers : wrong routes

long passes, at least two Inc because of broken routes.

  765. al October 30, 2011 12:12 am

oline techniques one of a kind amongst most teaching concepts in the sport.

  766. iwonderwhytheyhateme October 30, 2011 12:32 am

Who teaches BLOCKING on FG/PAT kicks?

    A) Special Teams Coach

    B) Offensive Line Coach

    C) Chris Da Pordagee Clown

The answer may/may not be obvious…cross-hairs pointed in the wrong direction perhaps?

This has nothing to do with performance tonight, just had a thought/question.

  767. whitey October 30, 2011 12:42 am

like i said before, the oline is not the scapegoat for moniz, he is responsible for getting the ball to the receivers within 2-3 seconds, but he holds on for too long. he cannot complete long passes. moniz is a very good runner and has to scramble a lot, but on the opposite side why is he scramblig?? easy to blame the oline, but like i said, he is responsible.

  768. whitey October 30, 2011 12:48 am

somehow when watching moniz trying to make the long passes, i ask myself, why is he trying to throw long when his percentage of completion is very low. but, when i look at who is the coach (rolo), i see someone who was a very good long ball passer thinking that his qb should have no problem completing the long ball. just my take on this.

  769. whitey October 30, 2011 12:54 am

i don’t watch the game from a coach’s perspective, but if i did, i would not be a fan of any team. a lot of emotion is expended during the game and this is why i watch any game.

  770. Lopaka43 October 30, 2011 2:48 am

I agree with CWD about the offensive and inappropriate nature of some of the commenters who act as though they never played any competitive sport.

Stuff happens in the turmoil of competition. One snap and clear is still valid.

This team found itself in hostile territory surrounded by the enemy and on the edge of defeat and found a way to win. That takes guts and togetherness. Hindsight is always 20/20 but what is obvious looking back is not obvious in the moment.

And the claim that rolo has become predictable when he has been pulling rabbits out of hats all season is laughable. Teams don’t know which of the many looks he is going to give them. He has developed the run as a viable option, we are starting to see good yards after catch, and he has added wrinkles that we never saw under June Jones.

Don’t you remember some of the ugly wins from the 2007 season? Today’s game very reminiscent of the La Tech game where the defense pulled it out for us.

This team and its team of coaches are busting their butts to be the best that they can. They deserve our support. They have never quit on us, even when they screwed up and made mistakes. Go Warriors!!

  772. funny October 30, 2011 3:51 am

If your OL is having trouble with pass protection you need to mix in a running game to keep the defense honest. Rolo did none of that in the second half. Jackson only had 3 carries total for 21 yards. It wasn’t like UH was down big and needed to gain big chunks fast. So why did they abandon the run? Jackson adds a whole other dimension and unless he was injured he should have gotten more touches.

Also, Moniz was getting swamped in the pocket. Again, if the OL had trouble with their assignments then roll out Moniz more often and shift the pocket. Their player Matowa was killing Mo with the rush from the backside and it seemed as if no adjustment was made to give Laurel any help.

This is a banged up patchwork unit and Shaw can only do so much developing players as a position coach considering the injuries. However, more could have been done “in game” to help the OL out.

Lopaka43 ~ Good to see cooler heads prevail. Your post is in line with what D-1 said @ #733.

WarriorMojo is also a critical fan of the interior linemen. He follows these young men from the time they are recruited, until they have secured a spot on the team. I respect his comments ‘cuz I know it comes from his assesment of the core group of players that are key to the overall success of the team.

D-1 mentions personnel/position changes since our NFL prospects left the fold for Sunday seasons. Finding able bodied replacements is key to building a decent Oline. Recruiting to fill these skill positions remains the challenge. Let’s support the youngsters we have now, and not be so negative in our comments.

Like I always say, “that’s every mother’s son” out there! Respect their effort. They are all trying their best to represent their school and us Tsaikotic fans.

    Great morning, everyone!!!

I find it disturbing that week after week, we hear name after name on the “To be fired” list.

We knew, going into this season, that key elements of our team had to be reworked. Our boyz are scraping and fighting to the end in every game, and win or lose, all they hear when pau is this bitching and complaining from the fan base. How supportive are we, really?

Kia and Steinhoff? Weren’t they brought in and coached by Coach McKnight their first few years? Coach Shaw just inherited them.

The breakdowns on offense that leads to sacks are due to the whole group not working on the same page. Everyone needs to make the right reads and calls. QB and Receivers need to identify who is “hot” on each play. Everything has to add up to click. With so many injuries before and during this season, there has hardly been any time for one unit to run consistently and learn to gel. Our boyz and coaches are fighting and doing all they can to get the job done, and all they hear is this constant whining. Yeah, we can all be critical of certain aspects, as we only want the best for our student-athletes and our school, but c’mon now. There are limits to common decency.

  784. PolyMom October 30, 2011 5:59 am

Doesn’t know his players names? Shame, shame Coach Mac. Better go home with your roster and learn your players names! Terrible hard to watch game.

And for the poster who said Stanford was LUCKY last night. You must be a cry baby USC fan…always making excuses. Monte Kiffin and his defense finally showed up. But Dr. Tibone was on the field four times last night. Lots of injuries today.

If you have never heard the expression…better to be Lucky then Good! Give Stanford their due respect.

As far as UH disaster. We need some new blood in the Coaching office. Sorry but sometimes you got to let go and move on. Warriors played terrible. And you can not blame just Moniz.

  785. d1shima October 30, 2011 6:05 am

    Relax.

I was just playing with Andrew Luck’s name. Like I said, it was a great game.
