Nash to Japan pro league
Congrats to Bobby Nash, who signed a pro contract with the Shiga Lakestars of the Basketball Japan League.
Ralph Omoto, our pal and a blog lurker, has captured Bobby Nash’s career in pictures. Omoto also has excellent pictures of most UH sports, including football. View his work at: http://www.pbase.com/rainbows

The Warrior Beat turns 2 next month, which means one thing: A party.
Our planning committee has rented the Ed Wong Hospitality Room in the Stan Sheriff Center. So, the plan is for the party to be held July 10, starting at 6 p.m.
There will be live entertainment, food, refreshments, door prizes, special guests and games.
Everyone is invited.
Additional details will be posted in the next few days.

Blaze Soares, who had endured a pinched nerve in spring training, competed in passing drills during yesterday’s unsupervised workouts. Soares appears to be in good health.
* * *
Soares said he wants “it printed” that he weighs 233, not whatever weight UH uses in the roster. Linebacker Tyson Kafentzis said he weighs 225, not 208.
* * *
The Warriors are certainly deep at linebacker. Exiting spring training, R.J. Kiesel-Kauhane, Brashton Satele and Tyson Kafentzis were the second-team linebackers.
* * *
Here’s wide receiver Kalua Noa, who will be joining the Warriors as a gray shirt in January.
* * *
Running back Daniel Libre is managing to balance school and football. Libre said he does not like to pose for photos, so all shots have to be on the move. I think I’m going to audition for TMZ.
* * *
Kealoha Pilares has adjusted from the move from running back to right slotback. He juked several safeties yesterday. If you look closely, Pilares has a new nose stud. Pilares and Libre recently added nose studs. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to show Libre’s nose stud when he’s on the move.

Good Morning!
Is it Friday yet?
Linebackers.
ST: Will you list all the Linebackers, just as you listed the DE;s, yesterday.
Thanks.
ekolu
UH is going with only three middle LBs this season: Solomon Elimimian, Brashton Satele and Mana Lolotai. Corey Paredes, who has been playing very well in passing drills, moves from the middle to the outside.
Shoots, I’ll be leaving O’ahu on the 7th. Attention, Moku Nui people, we need to have our own cattle call.
I think Paipai Falemalu gets on the field this season.
nynt or tent!
Good Morning Tsaikos!
Nothing like a good party, I can’t wait!
Maybe I am tenth today!
ok, now I’m tenth!
And 11th!
Glad to see da Krusha is healthy. He’s gonna be needed when the Warriors pound some Tepoi in da Swamp. Noa looks like his faddah.
OK, nuff talking to myself, I do that all the time in the real world.
Nose stud? I didn’t know those things actually had a name!
I guess when you run out of skin to tattoo, the next step is body piercing.
One trend I’ve noticed is more players are cutting their hair.
WOW !!! That’s asking a lot from a true Frosh.
Paipai’s the REAL DEAL !!!
From previous blog
you are welcome to join us but Rich like the green kine water bottle. and g-nalo will be coming to night.
Paipai is the real deal.
And it also helps that his first cousin is Manti Te‘o.
ST: love the photos! Figured out the new camera yet?
GO BLAZE!
Which Kafentzis is Tyson’s dad? Scary that I remember when his dad & uncles played for UH. Time flies…
Are the coaches looking at Paipai as an outside linebacker?
Goooood Morning Viet…er…Village of the Tsaiko people!
BLOG BASH!…Whoa…I was just gearing up for da “Ronnie & Rich Golden Oldies Rock ‘N Roll Eggstravagansah” now you tell me we get one moah partay over da horizon!! OMG! somebuddy help me make it thru da night!
Midori..I remember his dad and uncles too….and I’m younger than you…MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA j/k
Stretch – g-nalo coming tonight…oh man, gonna be a long night…BWAHAHAHAHA
Koakane – Still number one…hee hee hee
Oh yeah, Good morning Tsaikos….
The rich get richer.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame is renewing its television contract with NBC.
The university and NBC announced Thursday that they have agreed to a five-year deal that runs through the 2015 season. The current contract was scheduled to expire in 2010.
This contract includes seven homes games per season and for the first time an eighth off-site home game played at neutral stadiums.
NBC has broadcast Irish football since 1991.
ST,
Thank you for all of the updates and photos…especially the news about Blaze being healthy! I was wondering about his health as we hadn’t heard much about him lately. A fully healthy Blaze would be a HUGE boost to the defense this season.
Good to see Pilares is ajusting to slotback…with Heun and Libre in the back field it looks like the offensive weapons may be shaping up…..
Ooooohhh…almost forgot about Leon Jackson too!!
Congratulations to Chad Kapanui! Offensive Rookie of the Year!
Chad Owens mentioned here–I had thought there was a question about exactly what his injury was but this report seems to be sure it was his ACL.
I had forgotten that John Elway is co-owner of the team that Chad plays for.
28th!
Tyson = 225?
Good morning gang
good luck blaze. blaze was on 1500 today. he’s amped for UFla and Fresno!
July 10 at 6 pm? I’m there baby! Can’t wait to get back home ya’ll and finally meet you guys!
Sure hope that Manti Te’o selects UH, joining Paipai Falemalu, Alema Tachibana,
and Art Laurel.
UH will be known as “Linebacker U.” (not Penn St).
Already looking forward to 2009 and beyond, and 2008 hasn’t even started yet !!!
No shoe tying pics today?
Hope everyone has a great time at the bash tonight! Wish I could be there…
Hope Rich and Stretch have a great time golfing today!
ryan #20 – Paipai is more suited for OLB, with his height, length and ability to cover sideline to sideline, if he gets bigger and stronger he may even play some DE, he’s pretty quick for a big guy.
Now the question is, can he get his cousin Manti over here so they can form a killah LB core for the next couple years, pretty please 🙂
BG, Wreck, Koakane, Stretch, A-Team, James, D1, Gigi…check your email and then check with me later!…hehehe 😈
Au’ryte – I like see bruddah Blaze light up some Gaytors, and that one QB, what his name…oh yeah the guy who going get Tebowled, mwahaha I can hear the Katoosh already…
Damn, Libre does look really strong. No wonder he is close to the top in some of the strength categories. He has the Mike Tyson neck, nobody can knock him out.
ST,
I like your picture concept of da-players…makes for better discussions, etc.
Ohhhhh!!!, I can see it now…..Chad Kapanui will be called a “system QB”…bwaaahahaha!! right on Chad.
I hope Daniel and Kealoha no play with those tings in the nose bumby going have one puncture and get bleeding nose…
ST,
If time and space permits, how’s about photo’s of all/most of the players in group photo’s by position??
The long hair is going out of style it looks like. Definitely some new look Warriors this season.
Pauoa Boy,
same thought passed through my mind. good point.
Howzit mctruck. Good to see you again. Where are you hiding these days?
Aloha!
I’m sure the nose studs come off for PT. Good looking buncha guys. Looking forward to watching them play this fall.
Have a great time at Genji’s! Wish I could be home for the blog bash. Next time…
ST: Good shots!
42 and counting
Good to hear about bruddah Kaps, who would have taught he would become AFL Offensive Rookie Of The Year as one QB. He look like one DLineman nowadays. Wonder why UH never let him play more QB since he played dat in high school…
Hey-dare big guy(DPK),
just mostly being ghosting la-dat……will comment though if a thought comes to mind.
Don’t want to overload my tiny brain……bwaaahaha!!
Short hair moa bettah for play with, no need worry about guys taking cheap shots pulling your hair like how someone did to Leonard Peters one time…
Unko ST – I like the pictures, das with your new camera or no? Like Stretch said I hope you not reading the manual, gotta be a man bwahaha
Long hair can get caught in other players gear as well.
can you imagine a LB core of Paipai, Manti and VJ Fehoko. That would be scary.
I gotta take a break…..laters gangZ
ryan – das what we all praying for, can add maybe Chad Lopati, Mana Rosa, and some other local boy Defensive prospects for stay home. Talk about having some killahs for the future.
I met Paipai yesterday, this guy is a beast!!!
Good morning everyone!
Sure can, L10pc! Been wondering where you were…:)
Yeah…everyone figures there is going to be a “post buffet shift“. I called it “second stage”. Starts around the time homey arrives…
I would be very surprised if there wasn’t a third stage…with the songs flowing, a second round of food, nabeyaki udon for Liz, the waitresses dozing at the counter, and Tina tapping her foot and pointing at the clock. 🙂
Yup Paipai big already just wait until that buggah get on the UH lifting program, he going be killahs…
Yep looking forward to watching a “killah LB core”.
As I said in #34, UH will be known as “Linebaker U”.
Good morning, Tsaikos!
Just got off the phone with UH ticket office. 1st time Warrior football season ticket holdah! AwwwwwwwYeeeaahh!! What I couldn’t believe was that all of the sideline seats below Yellow level (even the ones near the end zone) were sold out! Settled for Mauka-Yellow level-Section KK-Row 11.
Just can’t help but wonder if the guy I was talking to on the phone really made an effort to find me the best seats. The guy didn’t even take 5 seconds to suggest the seats I eventually settled on! I felt I couldn’t push him to work harder, so what else could I do, but take the seats. Wish I could pick the seats like we can with the airlines! Hmmmmmmmmmmm, Mr. Donovan?
DPK in da house…
Kekoa…will do
Man…the D just keeps looking better every day. Can’t wait for the Warriors Greatest Hits to begin.
GO WARRIORS!!!
ai-eee-soos – true dat, should be “Killah Linebacker U”, cause all the boys can pound and no scared. Das why we the hardest hitting team in the nation. Like bruddah Blaze say, I just look for kill guys all day! Das what I’m talking about, crush em all!
The linebacker situation looks to be in spectacular shape! Nice visuals ST!
Pilares will be a player to watch the next few years.
Good to see future Warriors partaking in the unsupervised workouts.
HI XLiz!
SteveM – L10pc wants to come so he can sing his Western songs.
Hey DPK! Getting ready for tonight? Cutting your nails? Do you need some NO2 to dull the pain? 😆
Koakane – Nuff napping already!
Eh Bulla, those are some awesome numbers you posted yesterday!!! I can beat that! Bench 50 lbs. x 10…yeah 500 lbs!
Midori7 – You are my age?
‘Morning every someone.
Special Aloha kakahiaka to Rich and Ronnie!!!
nice pix. what i have noticed is that there are a lot of smiling faces.
didn’t seem like that before.
or is this just my imagination running away with me?
Yups Pilares going be nuts, smooth and fluid the way he run, I think it’s good he playing slot instead of RB, can see him juking choke people in the open field…
onarock – at least you have a good view! I think the A-Houses prefer sitting in the yellow too.
breaking news
mad rash of emergency vehicles around oahu answering calls of tsaiko women passing out form pics of blaze stretching and warming up for drills
al – you singing that song tonight?
Pauoa Boy – Pilares is effortless in the way he moves. It is truly a sight to see. You me and al see the same things…since al is older he sees things more blurry though.
I should get some beauty rest before heading over to Genji’s.
homey – aiyah…haha…you shua he not just asian maybe? 🙂
tooooooooo late to do anything about it. Remember as a kid, your parents probably told you not to make funny faces because your face will be stuck like that?? Well, I guess you never listen.
homey – DPK said that you don’t need any beauty rest….mwahahahahahahaha
koakane – we gotta take a picture with Pilares when practices begin…annodah Damien bruddah….
The lil instigator is startin’ early today.
Speaking of NO2, I have some potetentially devastating news. The NO2 from the dentist’s appointment yesterday has made my voice hoarse and I may not be able to sing tonight. I’m just letting everyone know this early so that they will be prepared. 😆
DPK – you shua it’s hoarse and not squeeky 🙂
Pilares and Libre are so similar to each other. Matching running styles and physiques. Same hair dos nearly. Maybe we can call them the “Stud Brothers”.
See everyone later tonight, time for me to go hack away with Rich.
“Stud Brothers” I hope they take those tings out they nose before they play, dang pretty boys dem, hah.
It’s hoarse. homey would be squeaky.
Stretch – What u mean? I’ve seen baby pictures of homey…he always looked like that….
So is it me or is Blaze the onleh local bruddah on the team without a tattoo or I just no see um?
homey – thanks for your encouragement. I’m good with the seats I got, but just can’t help but wonder if the ticket guy I’m talking with is really giving an honest effort to find me the best seats.
Ho, I gotta start training for that trek up to the Yellow level….lessee, 1) drink planny beers, 2) eat until no can eat no mo’ah, and then 3) walk up stairs in a high rise building…….ok, maybe I just concentrate on Steps 1 and 2, and ride the elevatah’ for now!!
To the Warriors –
We’re bringing in the 12th man…………Linebackers, you guys keep bringing in the HURT!!!!! AaaawwwwwwYeeeeaaaahh!!!
Stretch – “see” you 2night.
DPK – Are you blind too? Pilares and Libre definitely have dissimilar running styles and body shapes.
PB – You should hear DPK with his duck voice. Talented buggah. So if DPK doesn’t sing then that frees up at least 20 songs for others to sing.
Good Morning Tsaikos and Tsaikettes!
ST-
Thanks for posting update and the beefy pictures on BLAZE. Love dat guy. Good to hear he’s doing well.
Have a great day in Tsaiko-land. I can see everyone is getting all giddy with the party coming up tonight. See ya all there!
onarock – I figure those were the best seats you got cause when they called me earlier all they had left were the endzone sideline seats (F,Q).
Das okay wish I could be dea for witness the akshon, but no mattahs cuz I cannot sing fo chit anyways. I’m shua duck voice, horse voice, chipmunk voice DPK gettum.
A-Sports – by chance, in the heat of the moment you didn’t scream out “oh Blaze” by mistake did you?
homey – fo reals wassup wit dat, some of deez Tsaiko bruddahs the last couple days been scaring me with the subliminal Broke Back messages, mwahaha
A-Sports – “giddy”? What kind guys attending the RRKC you think me, stretch, koakane, al, and james are?
PB – Broke Back or not, I will accept them. 😆
I see a quick, darting running styles for them, squeaky. I’m sorry I’m not some big time PhD, NFL, big shot, kinesiologist, running style analyst like you are. Twenty songs? They say too many shots of CR will affect your ability to count. How many fingers do I have up, lil instigator? If you said one, you’re correct.
I accept too, but I taught wen bruddah IZ sang about men who ride mountains I taught that meant waves not da kine…..nevamine 🙂
haha lmao you guys too much
You think competition at the LB corps is hot? The same goes for the DB’s. Get plannee talent back dea toooo!
But no matter how talented the D is they all gotta be on the same page play after play. Cannot have breakdowns, missed assignments, and give up the monster big gain play. Stay focused!
Know who else was out there yesterday? Billy Stutzmann.
Boom Shaka-lacka-lacka!..testing…testing…is this mic working? Now that you got his voice, DPK sing us that love song Kermit sings to Miss Piggy!
Just think if our linebackers had the mean streak Miss Pig has, Whoa! look out BCS teams!
Welcome Jay Metzger. He can do a shaka!
Homey making trouble so early in the morning? Uh…no “oh Blaze” did not come up in un-conversation.
Giddy…yeah, sorry. I was only horsing around. See ya at the corral.
onarock — LizKauai, Peaches, JaM, Brie, and I +1 are in JJ yellow row 7 & 8. We requested yellow sideline. You have good seats…looks like you are on the 40 yard line.
Before the season starts, maybe I’ll compile a list of where everyone is sitting and maybe post a stadium map showing Tsai-kos by section. email or post your section, color and row numbers if you wish.
It’s about time we get depth at DB…I wonder who going start?
ST…any relation to that Craig guy??? MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA
Whoops. I messed up on the photo of the second-team linebackers. That’s what happens when you use the same label for two different pictures. The correction picture is above.
Falemalu is the real deal, only upside with him. hard worker, good family, and good work ethic. he WILL be on the field this season, in some form or manner.
nice photos ST, you are getting to be quite the photo buff……
PB – Let’s see, I say Mouton starts.
Whoa, awesome news that Billy Stutzmann was there. That’s a good sign.
ST, any sightings of Geordan Hanohano?
Or Laupepa Letuli?
Wouldn’t mind seeing Paipai on the field, but maybe he should red-shirt, learn, drink Muscle Milk, lift, get biggah, fastah, and then smashmouth for 4 years…I’m hoping. I no tink with Adam, Sol, and Blaze then R.J., Brashton, and Tyson he going get much PT. Get spesho teams but I rather see him during downs drilling people to the ground!
Garrans I know Mouton starting, that guy is unreal NFL material, pray he or none of the boys get hurt! Would like to see Roberts, Dowling, and Davis on the field at the same time in maybe one dime package. Get speed, and height, and they can all jump too.
Pauoa boy Gotta agree with you on that assessment. I also think he should be saved for a year…but if he can make an immediate impact, than maybe he should be played.
*DPK thinks “Kekoa wants me to sing him a bestiality related love song? Awkward… Very awkward… Aaaaaah what the hell.”
Okay Kekoa, you got it. Just buy me plenny shots first and it might happen.
So lets see if Mouton starts, Mike Washington starts, Malcom Lane starts, I wonder which of them three going be returning kicks and punts. Each of them get Chad Owens take it to the house ability, hmmm… or maybe someone else get Road Runner shoes on the team?
Countdown: 6 hours 45 minutes…

Al is the banker/cashier. He will collect the $25 for the buffet dinner and $5 from all others. Please try to bring exact change.
Unko James – he probably would make an impact after watching him play, he’s definitely capable. Still though rather him have 4 solid years to possibly start at one of the LB positions, and then maybe get his cousin Te’o over here too, I’m praying!
PB- Aren’t you down for the ‘hood? Don’t forget your homeboy Kaeao back there. He saw some time last year before getting hurt.
Is everybody forgetting about Mana Lolotai in the LB mix? He may be more so an up and comer, but he might be running with Paipai in the future.
Unko SteveM – who get those Tsai-ko black shirts, I need couple for represent while I’m in SoCal San Diego with Aunty Ronnie and Unko Garret dem…
The great thing about Hawaii’s success is now they can start to build up depth. Unlike years past, Hawaii counted on 1st string players for most of the season. Now Hawaii is starting to get quality players coming to Hawaii and the players and coaches have made an atmosphere of hard work and full time football. This alone will breed better prepared players for the season. At the rate UH is going, eventually you not going even tell when 1st or 2nd string stay in the game. Look at the log jam already at certain positions like QB and Linebackers. Hawaii already made a name for themselves last year, now they will work on their destiny for decades to come.
Warriors ………………. come out to playyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Speaking of Lolotai, is he at the work outs, Tsai?
DPK – I was talking DB’s cause Ao Boy play more safety with Desmond. I know he can play DB too but I’m sure Coach Mack going make Ao Boy call the defensive formations again and line errybody up correctly from the safety position.
Speaking of Mana Lolotai, wassup with Po’okela Ahmad too?
Trashouts – Couldn’t have said it better myself…the talent of this Warrior team is unreal, garrans we going be top 25 material every year…I BELEIVE!!!
Does Falemalu have the speed to play a corner / db? that would be unreal if he could, i think he’s fast enough, ST, what do you think?
Welcome Trashouts- Nice post. Where ya posting from? Hope to see more from you.
Pauoa Boy. Orders for shirts are handled by (Jesse) James….hmmmm. But see the following page for order info and view of the shirt…
http://home.hawaii.rr.com/smurashi/tsai-kos/tsaikoware.html
btw,
metzger is an AWESOME photographer, look at his site metzphotagraphy.com did a lot of High School sports….he should be a great addition to UH.
Unko Bulla – Paipai is huge he more LB/DE type den DB, but he pretty fast, I think he run 4.6-4.7 in the 40 if I remembah
bulla,
If I’m not mistaken, wasn’t Jay Metzger’s dad one of our P.E. teachers at KS in the day?

burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp opps sorry

Linebackers.
Pauoa Boy: I was thinking Paipai should redshirt too.
But if ST said he’s good enough to get PT this year, then it will be good because he will have game experience going into 2009.
In 2009, can you imagine what it’s going to be like, with Blaze on one side, and PaiPai on the other.
Holy Chit !!!
University of Hawaii = Linebacker U.
PB ~ Go to SteveM site he listed above in post #121 and get all the ordering info. Remember, the proceeds go into the UH Foundation fund. Tsaikos maintain control and like in the past, direct those funds to the most needed area of concern.
The Blog Bash will also be a fundraiser of sorts, more about that later.
i’m in for the 3XL tshirts. just gotta know when the next batch is. sweet!
those of you who attended the ‘bash for the beast’, during the slide show portion of football photos, many of those photos came from jay metzger. it amazes me how these guys take such detail oriented photos.
from one proud papa, those photos are immortalized in our home, thanks jay for a GREAT JOB!!!
ok, now i gotta grab the box of kleenex again…..i am thuch the blubbering papa, haha
dpk post 124 naaaaaaaaa das don’s kid. the one went acad of pacific down da street.

going back and take closer look
Thanks Tsaiko nation. Yesterday got my Redskin’s Colt #5 repilca jersey.
If it wasn’t for this great blog…never would think that a team would market
a 6th rounder. OK…back to lurking.
koakane,
I remeber him as a little kid at Kalama dining hall eating dinner with his dad.
Hey, Bulla.
So, no, it’s not your imagination that something that was posted is longer there. Apparently, somebody was offered a job today, but the guy hasn’t told his current employers yet.
But they said we don’t have to delete the comments.
It’s a good thing nobody reads this little ol’ blog.
ST — Enjoying your pictures! That group shot of the backup linebackers is a great one. RJ and Tyson really got their game faces on, while Brashton looks like he’s easy going, belying the way we’ve seen him hit on special teams!
Is it August yet?? I’m really jonesin’ for some Warrior football action!! They’re going to be fun to watch!!
SteveM,
See you guys in “Yellow Heaven”, like Koakane refers to it. Thanks for being one of the gatekeepers of this blog. Obviously, Yellow Heaven is a 50-50 deal – irregardless, we’re going be part of the 12th man on the field for our Warriors – EVERY home game! Go Warriors! Bring on the HURT!!!
bulla stop it or name change from barney to big babe
so tonight you singer only fast songs so bulla no relaps bwhaaaaaaaaaaaa
dpk moa of dis kind stuff show up before you know it we going be bubbering with bulla
eh come to think of it is this a ksbe thing bhwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
oh e kala me
beI really love the LBs that we have. In addition to our starting three, I think Brashton and R.J. are awesome, and that Mana has the potential to be great.
And Bobby Nash in his dad’s jersey, that was awesome. Congrats to him on his new contract.
So, I’m bringing my camera tonight. I’ve got enough memory sticks now that I can record full songs, not just 10-second clips. 😉
ST
was looking at the pick of BN and said wow your new camera clea and you must have read the instructions. no could believe you got so good den when scroll down and saw the copyright.
ahhhhhhhhhhh no wonda
ST
got you, man, thought i was hallucinating again, first that, then the kahuku game state championship last year, then the leilehua game with the beast sacking the leilehua qb, then the disapperaing posting of ST.
it is a full moon, if that adds any merit to the case, haha
man, you are quick…..
very nice pics of Bobby Nash. Congrats to him on his new contract.
re: #72
Nice one Stretch.
homey – I can’t believe that you are awake!
Good Morning Tsaikos! Looking forward to this evening.
howzit gigi no mu’u mu’u tonight?
koakane, I am going to wear a black muumuu tonight. Does anybody know if the UA muumuu is being sold now?
ST,
Tell your web guys that the RSS feed to your blog is not working today.
Water break…
Metzger got smood.
Jason – you have a Sony camera?
I see the buffet dinner has been moved to a later time. Does that mean gigi and mate will have to stay later?
Can’t wait to meet AWH and AWH Cousin tonight! They actually communicated with SteveM.
gigi yea but think UA calls dem portable tents 😀
ok, this probably isn’t the smartest thing to do (but after the bull pic, what is??), and my friends have warned me about doing this, but i’ll post one last picture from Guam to show that the Tsaikos are omnipresent. that or just the coincidence of it all is too much..
the new link above is to go along with this pic i posted earlier.,
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a387/chawan_cut/DSC00251.jpg
i was at the Micronesian Mall (after eating their version of the loco moco) and ran across this store above.
i don’t want to embarrass or offend THE Princess or Mrs Wai in any way (and if I do, I’m truly sorry), but i just had to share it. what’s the chances of 1) having a store named this, IN Guam, and 2) me being IN Guam to see it. i couldn’t believe it.
i know i’ll get a rash of jokes and comments, but i can handle. i don’t mean any harm. its all in fun. again, what a coincidence?!? (i’ll just go into hiding after this and maybe come out when football season starts).
and that was the closest i got to the store. so no jokes there. just be respectful of THE Princess & Mrs. Wai. you can joke about me all you want, but remember to be courteous to them.
ok, off to hide now. cya later.
Go Warriors!
Go Wahine!
Go Rainbows!
Homey, hubby has so much work to do at the office because of our trip that he wants us to leave at 5 pm instead of 4:30 for Gengi’s. So we should get there by 5:20 or so.
When I asked him if we were going to stay til 8 pm, he said that might be too late. We’ll see how it goes.
Metzger got smood
homey so now no can chit about him den
hahaha chawan! Those 2 pics are so cute!!!
Leila’s Lingerie

Rob25 – U tink Stretch steh faunny? Only because he has a “Jokes for Dummies” book.
I’m gonna rest a little bit more…then color my hair to give me a salt and peppa look.
gigi – a UA muu muu will enhance those slightly bulges. I think you’ll look terrific wearing one.
homey, if it is a tent like Koakane says, then AWRIGHT!!!
chawan – it’s destiny…
gigi, homey is going to be so disappointed
gigi – tell hubby that koakane said that he is being an Alice.
gigi – trust me, UA would not make tent fitting clothing. It’s all about the body.
d1
i hear the wind is blowing very strong at kalaepohaku, call me so i can share what the birds are singing….
homey: I meant SD cards — I have a Samsung.
After a few minutes, I still don’t know what to say about those pics, chawan_cut. I think you’re Photoshopping them. That is not the way into a woman’s heart, young man.
koakane –
The sudden disappointment of a hope leaves a scar which the ultimate fulfillment of that hope never entirely removes.
Thomas Hardy
Ones best success comes after their greatest disappointments.
Henry Ward Beecher
Jason – Yeah, I remember you having the Korean brand camera…
What time you coming out of hiding and joining us homey?
Hi Gigi, it will be nice to finally meet you in person.
DPK/Bulla: I remember Mr. Metzger…slightly. At least I remember his name, Don Metzger…not much more. He had blonde hair…right?
SteveM: I’m in Section TT Brown Row 4 Seats 1-3 and Ronnie is some section and row but her seats are 6-8. Tough luck for the two older guys between us!
Jason – Now if Chawan went to the store and actually bought an omiyage for the Princess then I think he would be on the right path to her heart. 😆
Rob25 – As mentioned yesterday, I plan to be there around 5 after gigi.
homey – I’m bringing a Sony…can you show me how to take a photo of you in shadow?
Maybe I can catch you and gigi in one shot.
Robbeeee Baybeeeee,
Yup, das da guy!
[…] Blog party, Blaze is healthy […]
Congratulations to Bobby Nash! Best of luck to Bobby as he begins his pro career.
homey
huh
koakane
It is great that Mrs. McMackin is doing her clinic for UH’s women fans. I think that Michigan goes even beyond this and would love to see UH do this in the future. I know that some of the women would enjoy going through these drills!
The head coach gives a seminar after lunch and the women have a scrimmage at the end of their day!
garett – think is a great idea also but my concern is cost and does it include medical liability in case some one is injured?
Remember folks…some things just can’t happen. Such as …
1. Photo of homey’s face on the internet without the Times sack
2. Da Punchbowl Kid finds Al’s home kitchen
3. SteveM meets brew808
… and a few other things discretion prevents me from saying… 🙄
Maybe we can get a new video of Funky Cold Medina sans homey. 😀
Garret ~ We would have to make them half day drills for mornings only. If we beak for lunch, pau arready…who goin’ return.
koakane,
Good point about liability. Michigan has been doing this for 9 years, so that issue must have been addressed.
Kekoa,
LOL! I guess the Michigan women return after lunch…they must not serve a Tsaiko-sized portion for lunch. I couldn’t imagine anyone listening to the head coach talk and then scrimmaging after a cattle call!
Back to work…I’ll check back around midnight here and see if anyone has reported on the bash tonight.
ok,
so last night mrs bulla wanted to go out some place that was nice and really expensive, i got kind of squrmish and asked, ‘honey, really expensive?’ and she said ‘very expensive’.
so i took her to the Chevron gas station on keeamoku and beretania
I’d play after lunch…easier to hit people when they experiencing food coma.
I always buy Chevron because of the techron additive. Today regular was $4.299.
homey….#69
nah, i was just talking in song.
anyway i signed up only for the cattle call portion of the party.
i guess it doesn’t really matter anyhow, now.
gg
if you order the xxxl tshirt it would come down to your calves i believe.
Al, that’s not long enough! gotta touch my ankles at least.
hubby and I are looking forward to the spencer steak that is on the buffet menu. Hope they grill it just right — not over-done.
Napping like a dog…still tired.
Rob25 – I’m not responsible for broken cameras.
al – okay, gotcha…by golly wow. (yeah, that was chawan lame)
gigi – Did you know that Aloha Petroleum has a top tier rating…same as Chevron. Did you also know that Aloha Petroleum supplies gas to Costco. Did you know that today regular gas at Costco is $4.199 per gallon.
Hey al, when was the last time a women told you that?
On the way back home, our cab driver told us she swears by Chevron and Shell gas because all the others make her car shake. Take it from the expert!
Her car was a Lincoln Town Car, I believe.
woman = women
Don’t want it to seem like al is a haremness.
2-hundred?
nope
Since when are cab drivers experts? If they were experts they would be chemists working for Dow or Dupont.
WARRIORS looking good! braddah Blaze, ready?
exciting!!!!
MANEO !!!
Hey Tsaikos. Have fun tonight.
That lady in the blue above Nash’s head looks scary! 😯
#135 – Unko Kekoa – Fo shua anything to support my Warriors.
Bulla – I no kid you. If I was to let my ride go bone dry it would take over $100 to fill er up! Pretty soon gotta start looking for an all electric car. Hopefully prideperiod can hook me up with his connections.
Sheesh – lucky you live Hawaii – you tink $4.29 is bad, over here I like cry frikkin gas is $4.69 cents and das the regular el cheapo kine, me I onleh put da best but I get puka in my pocket aftah I pay $4.89 a gallon for premium…Owweee!
Maybe I should get one of those Toyota Prius cars dat get like 50 mpg or sumtin laddat, only ting is I not to shua I going fit inside em…gunfunnit!
PB – That’s some expensive chit you guys pay for! Pretty soon I gotta ride one bicycle to work!

I would ride bike too but when you get one opu throw off the balance lil bit
Sheesh, where did everyone go? Getting their beauty rest too? Or maybe getting their nails done at some Vietnamese place? Or their hair done at Fantastic Sam’s? Or hanging out at Genji’s parking lot?
down to the ankles!? don’t you own a shorty muu?
i see homey is in fine form today.
homey,
bio…..we are all down here at genji’s already. sorry we’ll update the list just for you.
I’m waiting for Ronnie.
homey – you went to all those places and no Tsaikos were there, huh? I bet you’ll be real pretty tonight and still you’re going to be in the back room by the time the rest of us leave.
homey – speaking of getting the nails done check out this video, crack me up…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsWrY77o77o
I think the Tsaikettes can relate to dat video
al – no problemo. I’ll look forward to the 2nd shift. I better down 3 Red Bulls before I get there.
🙁
PB–for shirt info, click on my name above….
gigi – gas in Hawaii is only manufactured by two companies so all gas in Hawaii either comes from Tesoro or Chevron. The difference is in the additives that are added depending on who sells the gas (i.e. Techron for Chevron;VPower for Shell)
UA makes a muumuu….where can I get one???
Unko James I went send you email already, mahalos.
Rob25 – hahahaha, that reminds me of back in the day when oftentimes we were singled out to have fun in the back room with a bottle of champagne and a female, non-US-citizen.
PB – That one is a classic already!!! TOO funny, reminds me of some of my co-workers.
Loa – No worry, you get the retro look.
Remind me of having to sit wit my mom and watch her get the nails done LMAO at the ladies talking chit
PB – lmffao, sounds like some kapiolani establishments
Loa – You get your nails done on Kapiolani?
Loa – Every place laddat, even ova here Cali when my wife go, I laugh same ting all ova
Ronnie just finished Iolani Palace and will be headed to my office shortly.
Does anyone know if there is an unsupervised workout going on right now?
We’ll see everyone later tonight!
I don’t know…I’m scared of you guys.
Nothing like a man that has had a mani/pedi.
We got all kinds on this blog!
Aunteh Rob25 – Just like I was saying earlier get some subliminal kine broke back messages I tell you…scary 🙂
PB – One time my daughter got her nails done at one of those places and they talked her into getting “extras” but she didn’t know it would cost more. Instead of the initial $25 cost they told her it would be $40. My daughter called me and I went down there and said to either take the $25 or we walk out because of unsatisfactory service. They took the $25 and said something in Vietnamese as I left smiling. My daughter was smiling too because she said her nails look so pretty…she’s going to be high maintenance for some lucky guy.
homey – no the other establishments, or so i heard, try ask jesse, koa, stretch or g-nalo tonite 🙂
Rob25 – Don’t get me started on highlights and lowlights.
hoo wee… my brain no stay working too good. But I made it to LIH and am awaiting the Go! chariot to whisk me away to HNL!
jeje is the person to ask. He and jojo knows about everything that happens on Kapiolani and Keeaumoku.
homey – aiyah diva ah, glad I get 2 boys no need worry about dat kine. If I had daughter I would have to teach her how for play football and hit boys instead of liking dem
James knows everything that goes down on Hotel and Smith St’s.
HIYA XLiz!
Rob25: Koakane just called me and says D line is out there right now with blocking pads working on arm technique. BG is there too. I’ll be missing practice today–think I’m coming down with a cough but will rest up for tonight– sjmacro
Pauoa Boy- go try da Prius. My son-in-law is like 6’4″ and can fit insai. He cannot fit in my daughter’s Mazda tho.
If you can fit insai, you can learn how to drive em good- pulse and glide style- and get 54 mpg like us… 😆
By the time Rob and Ronnie get out there practice is done. Mo bettah dey hit one bar and have a couple of martini’s or margarita’s.
or get their nails done
Holy chit, 54mpg, maybe I should get dat buggah my car onleh get like 17mpg city/26mpg highway…
But den again I like powah car, so maybe I get one motorcycle instead
Woooohooo!!! I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified now.
So, should John Hee stop by the blog bash, for sure there will be someone there to administer first aid should Midori faint. 😆
da plane, da plane!
cu soon!
have a safe flight Aunteh Liz
Liz, make sure your pilots stay awake and don’t take you to see bhf2!! Looking forward to seeing you again.
Kazz – If DPK faints then you have first dibs on the mouth-to-mouth. 😯
Phil Steele’s addition of college fb is now available at Border’s Pearlridge
Kazz . . .
There are two types of chest compressions. The first type helps with CPR. The second type gets you in trouble.
OK homey,
DAT one got me outta lurker mode!
YECH!
If DPK faints, then I think it should be best left to the professionals — that is, James.
wafan – Actually it depends on how you cup your hands.
Homey . . .
You will have to demonstrate later this summer. I am sure you can find a volunteer Tsaikette to help you.
Or maybe not.
Here hoping everyone has a great time tonight. Wish I could be there.
wafan – Or we can use one of James’ mannequins.
Homey . . .
‘
Or we can ask Kazz to demonstrate on one of James’ mannequins. Hmmmmm, what name would the mannequin have?
Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
homey- Still fantasizing about me, huh? Now it’s another man and mouth to mouth? Yikes! That’s CREEPY!
C-R-E-E-P-Y!
YOU AINT GOT NO ALIBI!!!
YOU CREEPY!!!
UH HUH, UH HUH,
CREEPY!!!
Get help lil buddy, soon!
wafan – I have no idea what name…give me a hint. 😉
Hey DPK! See you soon!
Homey . . .
HA! I know I look stupid and funny but I am not THAT stoopid. Definitely that funny looking, though.
Trying to get me in trouble with the Tsai-kettes. And worse with the Tsai-kos. HA! I am sure Kazz will be able to come up with his own name(s). I just hope he will not shout out any names while in the throes of the CPR chest “compressions”.
As A-Sports already alluded in an earlier post. That would be untoward behavior for any Tsai-ko.
SteveM reminded me to wear my Tsaiko shirt, so I have to go dig it out now.
See everyone tonight. I know it’s gonna be crazy.
Jason…if DPK faints, I’ll be off duty…but if a Tsaikette should faint….well…..
MWAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!
homey – I only know establishments around the keeaumoku, kapiolani, kona street areas….not hotel and smith….unless you talking about amy’s place or smith’s union…or bar35 or 39hotel….mwahahahahaha and Stretch stay borrowing dose mannequins…..BWAHAAHAHAHAHAHA
James,
Well it’s good to know you can help out in case one of our recent travelling Tsaikettes should need help. 😉
I guess everyone is already headed down to the event. I should be there shortly….see everyone there…..
ST just got home. It’s time to party tonight. bye bye
d1…
I am still chivalrous….I’m always willing to help the Tsaikettes out…. 😉
The Lion is waking up!!!!!!!!!
Wena…put it back to sleep!!! Put it back to sleep!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I can’t hold the lion back. He looks like he is out for the night.
James,
Something to get you and “the Gang” in the mood.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=axmUsmLwPko&feature=related
Congrats to Bobby Nash!
Enjoy the night at Genji!
will there be a CFK sighting? Wait and see…
East chelvin from kona konna show up?
wow, i didn’t get as much flak as i thought i would.
In my weekly visit to B&N I looked at the Sporting News review of the Warriors. They pick them 5th in the WAC after La Tech. They picked LWJ as the underachiever of the year in the WAC. Ouch.
Here is the pre-season ranking that scout.com gave the Warriors. 80th in the Nation:
80. Hawaii 2007 Record: 12-1
This might not be pretty. Hawaii will still wing the ball around with veteran backup Tyler Graunke ready to step in for Colt Brennan, but losing all four starting receivers and head coach June Jones will mean a major freefall from the success of the last two years. The defense has to replace seven starters.
Sporting News had UH at #5 in the WAC? They put UH lower than pretty much everyone else, and I already thought UH was being underrated by the other publications!
Lindy has UH #4 in the WAC
Athlon has UH #4 in the WAC
Phil Steele has UH #3 in the WAC (tied with Nevada)
Sure Fire Scouting has UH #2 in the WAC
chawan_cut,
I’d never give you flak about that–I thought your photos were pretty cool. Tsai’s Bldg was a really nice shot…and I noticed what types of tenants that building had…
the next few years will be critical to UH. They have taken the right steps to secure most of the top local recruits, such as Coach Mack making home visits. However, my feeling is that the top three local recruits every year will still be difficult “gets” given the lure of the top PAC 10 teams and their state-of-the-art facilities. What about the skill positions? Who will be able to step into the homes of inner city -high school players and get them to come to Hawaii? JC skill players? Much of the success there can be attributed to JR-he’s gone. The lure of a high powered offense to attract skill players from high school and JC? Did that disappear with JJ’s departure?
Ronnie & Rich bash is well into hour #3 and it is Jammin’! Good fun, food, fellowship, and friends on a level way out there beyond the cosmos! St is now doing an encore of ” da lion go sleep tonight!”
I hear this alot..so I wanted to set the record straight…Paipai and Manti are NOT related…basically they grew up in the same neighborhood, and they families all know each other and everybody call each other “cousin” but, they are not related.
Sorry but I can’t make it tonight. Hope you all are having a great time! I’m missing ST’s Lion..arrghh 🙁
I thought Adam Leonard was coming back…
Com’n Chawan, make it happen. Go ask, or did u already?
If you get turned down, then go into hiding. j/k
You not lame, no sked, I pray for u, that your dream
will come true. 🙂
On another site, it was written that 5 UH and 5 SMU coaches going to Samoa for a joint venture to coach clinics for the kids there. I guess it’s another one of JJ’s altruistic gesture. Going to Samoa to do clinics is a great idea of course especially for recruiting purposes. However, UH should do their own “venture”. I wouldn’t trust JJ and especially RB when competing for a recruit. Heck, RB was calling some UH recruits to reconsider and join SMU after they verbally committed to UH. Friendship is only skin deep when it comes to competitive sports. Each man for himself and JJ and RB proved that. Just some bitter taste left in my mouth.
have heard that WR stutzman is going to commit somewhere BEFORE his sr. season starts.
ST can you confirm this?
Where IS everyone? 😕
j/k
Back form Genji.
What a fun night. Got there as dinner was wrapping up.
It was so nice to see everyone; too may to name all. Met some people but too tired to remember all. Maybe one – midnight(?). He did the best at singing Mack the Knife.
Too bad I gotta work tomorrow; I’m sure the rest of them are still having a blast.
Oyasumina-tsai.
OK. Pictures of tonight’s blog party at Club Gengi are on my blog now. Click on my name to view them. Enjoy!
Got home about 20 minutes ago. Wow, what a night, it was a lot of fun. Serenading LizKauai and Mrs. Kekoa with Time in a Bottle, addahknowsports with That Old Black Magic (what parts I could remember), and Ronnie and Rich2176 with Three Times a Lady. Hehehehe… 😛
Well, it’s time to go to bed already. Hope everybody got home safe! Enjoy work in the morning… 😀
This is LizKauai from SteveM and Peaches’ house.
The bash was a blast! Besides Jason the crooner, PridePeriod and RK really kicked the singing up several notches. I especially loved the Hawaiian songs, Mrs. Kekoa was in good voice and Wreck and Company’s Kanaka Wai Wai was the show-stopper with a circle of aloha and everything!
Mahalo to Wassup Doc who brought me something great for my ailing footsies.
Calvin made it from Kona and plenty of lurkers and friends made their way to wish Rich a belated Happy Birthday and welcome Ronnie back home.
Midnight, whom we met at the Sugar Bowl, was among the Tsai-kos who wowed us with fine karaoke skills.
I missed Esme tonight – but Mrs. Bulla was letting it rip on the mike and on the dance floor to keep me from being toooooo sad!
There is nothing like being surrounded by a room full of Tsai-kos to make your cares and pains go away!
It is love personified.
Nitey nite and sweet dreams to all!
gigi- (this is Liz again) Thanks for posting the first pix of the party on your blog!
Homey, James and Koakame, I hope all of you made a safe journey home and if you haven’t made it home yet, you’re heading in the wrong direction…
INSIDE SLANT
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/wac/hawaii.htm
The race for one of the most glamorous jobs in college sports — Hawaii quarterback — was a dead heat at the end of spring ball.
i’ve been a rainbow warrior fan for a long time, so i recently attended the June Jones football camp last week and i can tell you that it was fantastic. Coach Jones has put together a first class coaching staff and the excitement in Dallas is growing for SMU football. Every high school coach who attended was very impressed and most commented that it was the first football camp they attended where they actually learned something they could use. I guess I’ll be rooting for the SMU Mustangs as well as te Hawaii Rainbow Warriors for now on! Maybe a BCS bowl berth for both teams, that would be a dream!
SPRING MOVERS:
QB Inoke Funaki — The junior made a charge during spring ball, proving that he is a serious contender for the starting job. His mobility could give the Warriors offense an added dimension.
RB Jake Heun — The 6-foot-1, 255-pound junior impressed coaches with his power. He is a transfer from City College of San Francisco and he fits the profile of a Hawaii running back — thick and tough.
WR Joe Avery — The 6-foot-5 freshman stood out with his size and athleticism, two traits that pay dividends as an outside receiver in the run-and-shoot. He had trouble with drops, though, and might be a year away from making a big impact.
QUOTE TO NOTE: “We had some talented, veteran guys, and they were allowed to ad-lib a little more. We’re going to tighten things up a little bit.” — Hawaii coach Greg McMackin, telling the Star-Bulletin how this year’s offense will differ from last year.
haYntexan:
That is great news. JJ did great things for Hawaii and Hawaii fans are forever grateful.
folks here are looking for big things to happen, that hasn’t happened in a long time. i’m excited
we all stayed up late last year to watch the rainbow warriors, i think they became everyone’s unofficial favorite. my hawaii relatives directed me to this blog.
Good morning everyone!
haYntexan . . .
Welcome to the blog! Are you located in Dallas? Born and raised here or there?
Okay off to the doctor’s office.
La Tech has a new logo.
This Washington State safety really is having problems. Ticketed on his way home from jail is pretty bad…
I don’t understand why, with ratings declining and the team struggling, that NBC extended their TV deal with Notre Dame by 5 years.
Duke was able to get out of paying a penalty clause for breaking their contract with Louisville because they argued they had so bad of a team that any team could replace them. It saved them some money but sure didn’t show pride in their school!
haYntexan:
The name is Warriors now, not Rainbow Warriors. Although many of us still refer affectionally to the “Bows”
This is not great for Jason Rivers–another unknown WR is getting a lot of praise by the Titans. I do like the example they gave about how Bennett was an undrafted free agent WR (like Bess, RGM, Rivers, and Hawthorne) and ended up earning a $30 mil contract.
Article about the WR the Titans drafted.
NBC is run by Catholics I guess.
Good morning everyone!
TIME TO WAKE UP AND GET TO WORK!!! Stretch, can you hear me? 😆 I wonder if Al got any sleep… 😯
Glad to hear a good time was had by all last night.
Off to work. Busy day (as usual). 🙁
Have a great day.
Great Morning All.
trying to be vewwy vewwy quiet around here this morning…
Tsaiko-tic adventures seem to have carried well into the wee hours.
Welcome haYntexan. Great info about the former coach’s camp.
Garret,
Hopefully things will turn around quickly for JRiv.
Well, gotta hiho.
SOMEBODY GOTTA GET THINGS DONE TODAY!
😳
oops, sorry for raising the voice. hope i didin’t wake anyone.
heheheh
morning gang!
Garret – thanks for the JR news, you must be tsaikic cause i was just wondering the other day how he was doing in tennessee
howzit d1
everyone have a safe and happy aloha friday!
especially the wounded from last nights festivities
Aloha Kakahiaka!
Mahalo to SteveM and Peaches for everything including getting me to the airport this AM!
Hiho
and mahalo to all for the great Tsai-ko Therapy last night!
Back from the doctor and my 60,000 mile check up.
Aside of an oil change and some wear and tear things seem to be holding up okay.
Looks like a lot of people are still trying to recover from last night. I wonder if a few are still trying to figure out where they are and how they got there. HA! You guys better call in quick — and remember the fake coughs! Or maybe the pitiful sounding moans will be sufficiently convincing.
HA!
Good morning everyone!
Just got back from dropping LizKauai off at the airport and catching up.
We might be getting a little too old for this late night – off to work routine. 😐
There was Tina and 21 Tsai-kos forming the circle for Kanaka Wai Wai with Robert Kekaula singing in the center. This was after midnight.
Leaving a little early (1:30 AM) so Genji’s could close, was Addahknowjoe, Addahknowsports, prideperiod, RK, Ralph, JaM, Jason, James, Koakane, homey, WreckinEyez, HiFlyer, LizKauai, Peaches and me. It was 7-8 hours for most of us. Gotta do these kinds of things on a night when most of us don’t work the next day. 😕
But it was fun and great meeting Rich2176 and Ronnie!
Getting sleepy…
hey, Liz and Jason, I noticed you posted comments on my blog after 2:00 this morning! Wow! How can you function today? Liz, are you going to work?
Looks like I missed RK’s singing. If I’d known he was going to be there, I would have insisted to hubby that we stay. What time did Kekaula show up?
sorry i couldn’t make it last night. i was recovering from that 15+ hour trip back from guam yesterday.
Somebody wanted the LBs?
WLB- Po’okela Ahmad, Adam Leonard, R.J. Kiesel-Kauhane
MLB- Solomon Elimimian, Mana Lolotai, Brashton Satele
SLB- Tyson Kafentzis, Erik Pedersen, Blaze Soares
chawan, I brought red salt from Kauai to give to you last night!!! Let me know when you attend the next function so I can give it to you then.
LizK . . .
Whatever you do, remember not to fall asleep on your keyboard.
The other week I asked one of my boys if he had a nice nap in class. He denied it. I had to laugh because the keyboard left key indentions on the right side of his face. It was hilarious! His next teacher asked him if he enjoyed his nap.
Good Morning Tsaikos!!
What a looooooong day yesterday. golf and drinking, then drinking and eating, then at the end it was just drinking. Sad part is that I have to do it over again today. I will be sleeping well this weekend!!
Thanks to everyone who showed up. It was a great night of 50+ Tsaikos!! Nice to meet the new people who came out and some of the Tsaikos-In-Training. I hope to see some new people posting today.
Where is everybody?? I hope everyone got home safely last night.
Zzzzzzzzzzz
Good morning Senor Stretch and all others here! What a great night last night. It’s hard to accurately describe the wonderful atmosphere and energy there. More than 50 folks, and nothin’ but good vibes and happy moments all the way around. Stretch have good day and be sure to use a high SPF out there.
hey, Stretch, thanks for the free dinnah! I guess this teaches you and everybody else to not doubt the great Celtics. They will win again next year.
#312, yes, I read that JR was 11th out of 12 receivers in camp. I wonder if he still has the nagging injuries.
#301, thanks NYUH. This AM, Coach Mack mentioned Rausch as “another Colt Brennan” or words to that effect.
Aloha Tsakos, Tsaikettes & Lurkers….
What a day. Stretch, Sleeze & I hacked away on the golf course knowing the hi-lite would be a well-planned blog bash. We picked up A-Joe on the way, and were greeted by WassupDoc on our arrival. (W-Doc – thank you so much for the gift and card!)
Got inside the club to meet around 50 of the warmest, funniest, talented people to share good laughs, good food, and great entertainment.
There are too many people to thank for all of the well-wishes, but a special shout-out to Al, SteveM, and Kathy (who arranged the cake through Margo), and everyone else that made the night memorable.
Pride, Liz, Jason, RK, James, Midnight, UHFan808(what was that provactive Tone Loc song you sang?), and of course ST w/ The Lion sleeps tonight, kept us entertained. Some emotional moments also with the Hawaiian songs, but Jason topped off the evening by singing Three Times a Lady to Ronnie, and then coming over to me and singing the last verse….hmmmmm…..
Head is still hurting a bit, and I apologize to everyone I’ve left out. Homey, homey, homey….
I can’t wait to come back and meet all of you great folks again.
It is pretty unbelievable how ND’s popularity transcends wins/losses. Part of the appeal could be explained by church/religion influences over the casual fan. After all, what is there not to like about Notre Dame the institution.
Everybody must still be sleeping. Must be very quiet. NOT!!
WAKE UP!!! IT’S TIME TO GET GOING!! 😯 Almost lunch time. Some of us have been at work for hours.
Guess we gotta get Beau and Al’s puppies and all da roosters and peacocks to make plenny noise.
Anybody wanna a peacock? Get plenny by my house. Would appreciate the quiet if they weren’t around.
bonar,
Interesting, I hope that doesn’t mean another 5-7 year. This is not a rebuilding year. But as he has three years coming up…
Fresno State baseball in ESPN in an hour. vs. LSU or North Carolina.
What’s dis rumor of Billy Ray committing to another school?
We want him at UH playing for his Bro’ – Craig, the man.
One thing we always admired about Craig was his immediate commitment to UH after graduating from St Louis even tho’ the win/loss record was horrible. He, then, set the STANDARD for every slotback wearing a Warrior uniform. It was Craig who laid the cornerstone and others have added to that foundation and the torch will now be passed on to the next generation of UH slotbacks.
I personally like the “low” rankings and the sweetness of success when the Wariors win games.
