Colt Brennan, Ray Hisatake waived

Tough break for Colt Brennan, who was released by the Oakland Raiders today.

The 24-hour waiver period, we believe, is in effect. But it appears unlikely that, at this late stage, he will be picked up before next week’s opening of the NFL season.

Terry Brennan said his son will return to Southern California for a few days, then head to Arizona, where he will resume training. It’s a long NFL season. You never know what might happen.

The Carolina Panthers waived former UH offensive lineman Ray Hisatake.

* * * * *

No rest for the Warriors.

Yesterday, the Warriors had an extensive video sessions to go over the game plan for next week’s game against Army.

This morning, the Warriors  practiced for about an hour.

* * * * *

USC coaches kept mentioning they were tipped off to the Warriors’ plan of going in the Pistol formation by watching a local newscast Wednesday night.

After reviewing those telecasts, one station had a one-second shot of Alex Green aligned directly behind Bryant Moniz during the practice at Aloha Stadium a week earlier. One second. It was a tight shot — no other players are in the frame — and there was no mention of the scheme. It was just background footage. How USC was able to decipher anything from a seemingly nondescript one-second shot is amazing. And probably why the USC coaches are so good.

Only one USC coach noticed UH’s formation…but Monte Kiffin is a Super Bowl-winning defensive coordinator for a reason.

  4. Last Call September 4, 2010 7:21 am

If they were tipped off then why did they have such a tough time defending it ? I think they are full of kaka.

  5. whitey September 4, 2010 7:21 am

or it could be that someone in the media leaked info to usc. this is common practice among the media today, so leaking info is all too common and ethics is lelft behind. if i was the head coach, would i tell anyone that i got the info from an insider, hell no, i going look for a fall guy and it just so happens to be the tv crew.

  6. Stephen Tsai September 4, 2010 7:23 am

The idea behind UH using it was to disguise the backfield blocking. Instead, UH used to get the running game going.

  7. whitey September 4, 2010 7:24 am

so if it is going to be a closed practice, no cameras or tv is allowed. only the old fashioned reporting with pen and paper.

    42-24 UH — greenthumb 🙂

  9. Pomai September 4, 2010 7:28 am

As much as I like to go to practice I could handle closed practices. I still think they need to hold practice at the stadium during the season, an close it to everyone.

  10. whitey September 4, 2010 7:28 am

at least we know that uh is doing the right things on the offense. in actuality, usc won the game on paper, but lost it if the refs knew how to officiate and make the correct calls. am very proud of the warriors performance for the first game and look forward to a FUN season.

  11. Garret September 4, 2010 7:30 am

Of course, if anyone read other UH forums before UH closed practices, several UH fans gave practice reports where they detailed how UH was running the pistol formation in practice. There are several threads about UH doing this in practice that date back several weeks ago.

the warrior coaching staff should make it a policy that if practice is closed, absolutely no cameras or recorders allowed. only one reporter from each media outlet. Some may say that this is “paranoiya”, but what is the purpose of having closed practice??? It is the very thing of keeping your opponent guessing and it sure doesn’t help when you have a “mole” with access.

Garret, do you think that UH will consider Texas in the future??? 2 away and 1 home for UH. Since we are courting two Texas schools to join the WAC, this seems out of reach, but I personally think that it would be a very good arrangement for UH, especially the national exposure, Texas recruiting, and not to mention the money.

    whitey,

UH has turned down all $1 million offers to play road games without teams playing in Aloha Stadium.

UH has turned down all offers for 2-for-1 deals, JD has been clear on that. BYU signed 2-for-1 deals with Texas and Notre Dame–in 2-for-1 deals (like what Utah State signed with BYU), the team that only gets 1 home game gets money for each road game. It is kind of like taking money for 2 road games and getting a home game in return.

Texas does not recruit in Hawaii and has no need to. UH got Texas to play a game at Aloha Stadium while refusing to play in Austin. Since UH refuses to take 2-for-1 deals that schools like BYU and Wyoming will take, and Texas makes $7+ million in *ticket sales* for each home game (plus the stadium is on campus and they make a crazy amount of money in parking and concessions), I doubt that UH can schedule Texas.

USC recruits in Hawaii, they will sign 1-for-1 deals…until the Pac-12 network starts and their TV revenue goes from $1 million or less per home game to $4 million per home game. Oregon State has also offered home-and-home deals with UH that UH should take, as BYU signed home-and-home with Oregon State and they won’t have many more openings.

Big 10 and SEC teams make millions per home and and nothing for road games…they won’t come to Hawaii anymore without 2-for-1 deals unless UH gets extremely lucky.

The only way UH could get a significant amount of TV money for a home is if they were independent and had an ESPN deal. The average WAC school gets about $400k per year from ESPN…BYU is getting $1 million per game from ESPN as an independent.

    Good morning all!

As Wafan correctly pointed out, when USC played their Alma Mater, the stadium started to play loud, racous music over the sound system and drowned them out. It was nice to see the UH band and cheerleaders standing respectfully despite the “Auwe moment” by the stadium.

Wafan…great to see you at the T-gate! Your sense of humor is so positive! Safe trip back to Washington.

Warrior debut attended by 41,776 UH and USC fans.

Any idea how many tickets issued?

  26. Michigan Warrior September 4, 2010 8:17 am

If it was a quick one-second shot, the only way they could’ve known is probably a visiting spy noticed it in practice and tipped them off. Of course, this person had to be pretty high up in the pecking order for the Kiffin’s to actually listen to their report.

Another reason why an indoor practice facility becomes more and more a need than a want. If our season came down to this one game, we could’ve lost it due to those spy reports.

As evident from the game, it didn’t quite matter. Our Gordy Shaw-coached O-line was on a roll. I hope we keep that formation from here on out.

  27. BG September 4, 2010 8:18 am

    Garret #11

I don’t recall seeing anything like that on the WB so I’m assuming that it was on another site. Then again, I don’t have the time to read everything everyday. ST did post names to certain formation once that had me squirming a bit. Would have made it easier for a DC to quickly identify what defense was going to be in place by watching replacement groupings and counter with a signal to the QB.

UH should be proactive and send guidelines each year to blog moderators as to what is kosher and verboten. They do that with the media (I believe) but many blogs are outside the certified news media. After 6 months, it’s easy to forget…can’t believe I forgot my cooler to the T-gate! Like forgetting to bring your rifle to the war.

  30. papajoe2 September 4, 2010 8:27 am

Didn’t Kiffin say that one of his coaches noticed it during the newscast the night before the game? Then they had to scramble to adjust to it but didn’t have enough time.

  31. whitey September 4, 2010 8:30 am

Thanks Garret. I don’t think JD should be absolute in the 2 for 1 cause the amount of money we are looking at for one game is more than the WAC pays to UH for the season. Like they profess in the WAC, PLAY UP!!!! Well, you have the opportunity, so why avoid it. PLAY EM, BEAT EM, then UH can talk and negotiate for better deals.

Concerning the ads around the stadium…

Here we are, all talking about hoping the corporate sponsors would do more and give more… and fail to realize that for all the giving they’ve been doing, their payback is us seeing all those ads and billboards scattered around the stadium and on the field in the form of those soft, cushy barriers. Can’t ask corporate players for big money and support, and then tell them they can’t advertise during our games.

Same with that brand new Jumbotron… wasn’t it paid for and installed by someone else, other than the stadium or UH? For sure, they will get their ads up for all to see too.

  35. cocobean September 4, 2010 8:38 am

Use go to Call the Coach the first four years JJ was here. Asked about why he didn’t use ball fakes or play action (told him every time the QB showed handoff, he did). JJ said he didn’t use it because it may throw off the QB/Receivers timing. Also asked if the QB could change the play (call audible). His answer – no. I forget his explanation.

This leads me to ask Rolo or anyone in the know. Does the QB in this offense have the ability to change the play if he sees a reason to do so It seemed there were times when UH would have been better off calling a straight run, draw or bubble. Then again UH ran a draw when USC called one of their few blitz’s. Seemed that might have been a play change or more likely something Rolo antiscipated.

  36. whitey September 4, 2010 8:38 am

In fact, we can make more from one of those away games than playing the Aloha Bowl. The Aloha Bowl is only $750,000 and this will be split among WAC members too. I not a very good economic person, but have some common sense when it comes to money, so why does anyone refuse to negotiate when the other party is willing to pay you $1 mil for one game????? And you no need to split the money with any WAC member. Plus you get national exposure and get recruits who will watch you play. It is not JD’s job to play the game as he is not the coach, but his priority is to make money for UH athletic dept. As far as football and a coach saying he doesn’t want to play a ranking team, then it is time to seriously look at getting another coach. I don’t think Coach Mc is like that and I firmly believe that he and his staff thrive on highly competitive games.

  37. Slugger September 4, 2010 8:39 am

    Good morning!!!

It’s a good thing I don’t know much about football, since I go to a lot of practices. I’ve always thought it was a faux pas to write about what the team was scheming at practices. But it sounds like other people are doing that. Might hurt the team.

What about having the TV media use file footage for action shots with current interviews? Nah, you have the still photographers taking pictures and using them in the pepah. Teams are going to scout any way they can. Monte Kiffin could look at the newspaper and possibly notice something.

Spotted players at the WVB game last night. Kelly Majam was there with Jori Jasper and her Mom, Theresa. FB players boogeying out with the rest of the students. Right on!

I think it was uncalled for when the stadium started blasting music as USC started playing their alma mater. They should have shown aloha & class, plus you don’t need that ‘noise’ when the game’s over.

#31… Whitey… I agree. Take what we can and improve our game before we demand top dollar on top deals. Those $1Mil per game payoffs would be huge… and just one game would generate more than what we got paid by the WAC for last year’s performances. Can’t be too greedy and picky when we need the funding.

  44. Slugger September 4, 2010 8:47 am

    Michigan Warrior,

I don’t like the idea of an indoor practice facility. The players need to be used to playing in the environment that they are in for the game. We have an advantage over mainland teams from cooler climates if our team is out in the Hawaiian sun, are used to the humidity & know how to hydrate. If we had an indoor stadium, then it would make sense to practice in it.

  45. gigi-hawaii September 4, 2010 8:47 am

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t Kanoa on the Leahey show hold up Aranda’s defense play book for ST to see? The book was really thick.

Don’t you think that Aranda should simplify it so the players won’t be so confused next time?

  46. Michigan Warrior September 4, 2010 8:48 am

#37.. Slugger… got that right! It is common practice at the games I’ve attended on the mainland that both schools will pay respects when each take turns doing their alma mater. We gotta get with the program back home.

  51. Michigan Warrior September 4, 2010 8:54 am

#44… Slugger… that has always been on my mind… prepping our players to play in the heat and humidity of our home turf. Problem with that argument is that most of our games start when it’s cooling down, and it’s usually comfortable by the time the final gun sounds. I could see if we made visiting teams play us in the heat and humidity of a noon-3pm start time, but we never do. And yet, start time for the UH-Army game is noon, East coast time. Good thing it’s early in the season, or we could be playing them when it’s freezing up here… and they wouldn’t care any less if that was the case.

Thing is, teams we play usually schedule us at their convenience, and yet we don’t do that to them when they come to Aloha Stadium.

As far as having closed practices… even holding practices at Aloha Stadium would provide a more secure atmosphere from prying eyes, but then we’d probably have to pay rent just for practices too. Not a good choice at the moment.

  52. Slugger September 4, 2010 8:56 am

One more thing…I have a donation for softball shirts (3) from someone with the last name of Perry, Jr., I think. If you could send me an email with your name & address, I will update our list so you can get a receipt from the UH-Foundation. Or, if anyone on the blog knows, please inform. Sorry, couldn’t read the writing.

    meiling at nawahine dot com

    Thanks!

  53. Slugger September 4, 2010 9:01 am

    Michigan Warrior,

The problem with holding practices at the Stadium is that it is far from campus. The players need to make classes. The travel time on H1 is a waste of time to go back & forth from campus to the stadium during the week. You could practice in the stadium if it was on campus, but not in this setup.

Conditioning will help when we play on the mainland at altitude. You can wear extra layers for the cold. But when we play at home, part of our home field advantage is being comfortable in the heat & humidity. Even when it starts cooling down here, mainland players are used to colder temps. and lower humidity so it’s still a slight advantage for us to practice outside.

    K, gotta boogey…

  54. Kazz September 4, 2010 9:04 am

    Michigan Warrior,

That is a MIS CONCEPTION. In the past we HAVE been accomodating of other bands and their alma mater.

Gwen Nakamura of the UH Rainbow Warrior Marching and Pep Bands is a class act and would NEVER allow such disrespect.

Most recently when other football teams have been able to bring their bands down here we’ve backed off when needed. Like when New Mexico State played their alma mater after the game and our band stood in silence and even applauded their band and most recently and the MOST CHICKEN-SKIN MOMENT was when Navy had their band and the tradition continued of mutual respect.

USC’s freakin band has a NATIONAL reputation of being arrogant, probably stems from their band director if anything, and a lot of bands across the country HATE it when they do classless things like play over the home team’s alma mater LIKE THEY DID TO US IN THE PAST!!!

If anything I think we are TOO flimsy in terms of standing up for ourselves when visiting teams do crappy things like practicing punting or kicking field goals when our marching band is trying to perform their halftime show while at the same time footballs are being pounced into the laps of the fans during all this.

This is still the ALOHA STATE, but we don’t have to let people in OUR HOUSE and take a dump right on our coffee table at the same time.

  56. Michigan Warrior September 4, 2010 9:06 am

Speaking of heat and humidity… I played most sports growing up and basketball, baseball, and football my first couple of years in high school…

Most of us had fairly short (ar at least under-control) hair. I wonder how hot some of these guys get with the wigs they wear these days?! Even after getting out of the Army in ’94, I still keep a military haircut. When it starts growing and starts to touch my ears, I seem to get hot a lot faster. I can’t imagine how hot it must be on the field with a full head of hair, plus all that extra stuff restricting air flow between helmet and jersey.

    Gigi,

In the past we’ve allowed disrespect. In the end some people will take it lying down and bear it with a smile while there are those that just won’t take it anymore.

A human being of sound mind can only take so much disrespect.

Bottom line is it’s done, and I can GUARANTEE you that this will never be an issue again, like I said before, we have always shown a lot of ALOHA to other teams and certain teams *cough cough* USC *cough* have taken advantage of it.

The Aloha will continue from our end.

  61. Michigan Warrior September 4, 2010 9:10 am

Point taken, Kazz! I’ve been away from home far too long to know what happens once the game ends. Even radio announcers will just go straight to post-game interviews and/or take fan calls. Good to hear that we do practice the mutual-respect thing during each school’s rendering of their respective alma mater.

There was a pretty good competition going on between the bands/dancers (btw, Kazz, I agree wicchu…the SC “dancers”, well, they no can!) but the UH side was handicapped because it seems like they were restrained from doing anything while the promos and announcements were going on. The SC side wasn’t even paying attention to that!

    Kazz,

What was funny was the SC dancers must be told to “ignore” the opposing squads but no doubt, the message didn’t reach the SC band members….lotsa “eyes left” in that group! 😆

    D1,

Yeah because their band wasn’t used to seeing…um… DANCING!!!!

But you know, you can’t fault SC’s song girls for barely moving. It’s well understood that after breast enhancement surgery you have to limit your movement.

  85. Michigan Warrior September 4, 2010 9:30 am

#65… Kazz… yeah, those are definite chicken-skin moments. An old Army buddy of mine is the Commander of the West Point Band. Wish I could make it to the game. Would be a good reason for a reunion, but kids will be back in school. Just too much going on at the moment.

Man, let me hit this lottery and take a vacation!!!

  86. Kazz September 4, 2010 9:32 am

I think we take the Rainbow Dancers for granted. They completely embarrassed those SC gals.

I mean I always enjoyed the AWESOME routines of the our cheerleaders and how they can pull off all those leaps and flips, but in comparison to some other dance squads or cheerleaders that have come to Aloha Stadium, I mean, it’s not even close!!!!!!!!!!

  91. 808ike September 4, 2010 9:36 am

    BHF2,

    Glad to have you back.

  92. Michigan Warrior September 4, 2010 9:39 am

Grew up with a girl who eventually became a Rainbow Dancer. She used to take Jazzercise classes when she was little, and eventually joined the team right out of high school. Never got to see her perform live, since I was stationed in Korea back then. We still write back and forth once in a while on facebook. She said they recently had a reunion of Rainbow Dancers… I think it was in Vegas over the summer. Pretty cool that they all still keep in touch, like a sorority.

Segue into that discussion about the Letterwinners Club…

Maybe some sort of reunion of all former student athletes, to include the cheerleaders and dancers, might be a good way to get people reintroduced to UH.

  93. bb September 4, 2010 9:39 am

    WOW….

Props to Monte Kiffin for being eagle eye on it.

I looked it up and it is clearly in the C/C compilation 11:12 of the 1st 9/1 video. I’m thinking that I cannot see USC bringing down DVR players. Mr. Cut, you should ask Coach Kiffin for Reggie Bush’s Heisman Trophy that they don’t want any more. I can’t see any other way they could catch that without it being on video.

    Regardless, don’t stop the vids.

it didn’t matter, we went up and down the field. we scored enough to win inspite of the zebras trying to keep us out of the endzone.

it was just those 5-6 plays that kept us from a victory. moral victory some will say, i did it too, but, i am hoping that this will set the tone for this team for the rest of the season. no team can ill afford to have mental breakdowns and expect to win.

in the three phases of the game, as pride. would say, we didn’t win two out of the three.

offense = we whupped butt and went beyond all expectations

defense = we couldn’t stop the trojan horse from running roughshod. we gave up too many homeruns.

special teams = we kicked off short allowing good field position all night long, we blew it on the sky punt return, they kept us inside the twenty on kickoffs except once i believe.

  119. Pauoa Boy September 4, 2010 10:10 am

Howzit gang just was able to watch the UH vs. USC game fully. I have to say the boys surprised and honestly could have won that game. I don’t mean to sound redundant from what has already been said but ainokea I going give my 2 cents…

QB’s: Moniz looked awesome although he needed to just settle down little bit in the beginning, I thought he played very well. It actually looked like two Heisman hopefuls going at it between he and Barkley. Rausch had some nice throws too but still looks hesitant at times…to me I think he needs to have more game experience to rid of the jitters. Austin looked very poised although against USC’s 2nd string, no matter though he is definitely ready to step in if needed. Hope Moniz is okay, cause he’s going to have a great season!

RB’s: Alex Green was beastin and I wish Coach Rolo would implement the run a little more to get Alex more touches. This guy reminded me of Steven Jackson and almost exact clone. I thought he should have been given the ball in the redzone to pound it in. Regardless Coach needs to bring that shovel pass back and let Green get busy! He has some deceptive speed too. Chizzy did decent too and I think he and Alex could put up some nice rushing stats this year.

WR’s: Can we say best in the nation or is it too soon? Besides the few drops I thought the whole unit did great. Bradley hopefully is okay as I see him regaining his form from last year before the injury. Salas was Salas, clutch all the time and proving he is an All-American candidate. Kealoha got back his early drop in the game and burned USC’s secondary with ease thereafter. Pollard seemed to be targeted alot and felt he did a great job as some of the balls not caught weren’t his fault although he had a drop as well. All in all, this season defensive coordinators are going to shi-shi pants playing us.

OLine: Very, very impressive and threw my skepticism out the door. Great job Coach Gordy. Tiwanak did awesome even though he had one missed snap, he looked great. Hansen, Bulla, Pepa, LaCount, and the others held it down and allowed the QB’s to shine. Our offense is going to dominate this year.

DLine: Hmm…to me it just seems like when we go up against a huge OLine our boys can’t seem to get a push. I saw alot of our boys getting cleanly taken out of the play too many times to count. If they don’t get it together and shore up the run blocking, Army is going to trample us like a Humvee!

LB’s: Same as Dline, too many times I seen them get taken out of the play. I dunno if it was just the defensive alignment as a whole at times out of position or if they just overran plays??? Also, tackling as a whole was ridiculous. Hate the up and up tackling, shoot for the legs and wrap them up. Coaches need to focus on that big time.

DB’s/S’s: Hmm…Lametrius got posterized on that one touchdown…and Barkley looked like he could throw the ball just about anywhere to complete a pass. Spencer Smith made some nice tackles as did Mana but they shouldn’t be making the majority of the tackles. Dunno what needs to be done as there were too many mistakes to pin point what exactly was going on.

Special Teams: Coverage team got exposed but that can be corrected. Scooter looked good kicking the ball and hope he continues to do well during the season. Dunnachie can boom and I’m glad to see his confidence in rocketing the football downfield. Allen Sampson has that burst and I’m sure he’s going to take a few to the house this year, just wait and see.

Anyway, as a whole I thought the team played well enough to get the win. Defense needs to tighten up and learn to tackle. Offense just needs a few tweaks but they looked to be in midseason form already. Coach Rolo called a great game except for the redzone area where I felt Green should’ve been given the ball and pound it in. Oh well, lots of positives to build upon and I’m thinking a 12-1 season isn’t too far fetched. GO WARRIORS!!!

Too bad for Colt. Always positive, he’ll find something, somewhere. Kinda glad it’s not the Raiders, though… their receivers suck… don’t know how to release from the defense to break open.

So far, everywhere Colt’s gone, he hasn’t really been given a decent chance to show his stuff. He hadn’t even done a full quarter’s worth of preseason yet. Maybe the Raider’s HC will be the next to go.

  132. Capitol -ist/WassupDoc September 4, 2010 10:37 am

Returning to yesterday’s posts about the big screen:

First of all, the screen is owned and managed by Aloha Sports Properties, a subsidiary of Collegiate Sports Propertioes owned by CBS. Aloha Stadium receives a portion of the revenues – will try to find out if it is a set amount or a percentage. However, it looks to me like the advertisers are the people are also ones who donate BIG TIME to UH athletics programs so letting them have screen space at some sort of discount is probably one of the fringe benefits.

Here’s my suggestion to improve the situation without blowing off the advertisers: Send a (real) letter jointly addressed – not cc’d – to the Aloha Stadium Chair, the head of the Department of Accounting & General Services, the general manager of Aloha Sports Properties, and Jim Donovan expressing your concerns about the screen’s layout and ask them to re-configure it so that there is more game information on the screen.

When you are finished, send a copy of the letter to the marketing department heads of the of the major sponsors.

This private sector situation is no different than the public sector. If you want to make change, you have have to step up and inform decision-makers about your concerns.

It is unrealistic to expect folks to somehow know what’s wrong or what needs to be changed without communicating directly with them.

To give you another example – when key legislators & major business leaders were first contacted earlier this year about the pending conference realigngment discussions and the potential negative impacts on UH athletics programs as well as Aloha Stadium, most of the people here on this blog had assumed that everyone downtown was tracking issues as closely as the Tsai-kos were. Although two legislators out of seventy six all totaled were pretty much up to speed and so were a couple of key business leaders, the overwhelming majority were not – because 1) they were not necessarily passionate sports fans and 2) no one had talked to them directly about what was going on.

This is why written communications skills are so important. If there are issues you need to convey to decision-makers, then take the time to put them in writing. Most of the time, a well-written e-mail will suffice, but with something like this, a (real) letter will be far more effective.

Take the time to educate & inform both private and public sector leaders as to what your concerns are. Perhaps it is time to select a set of formal T-Leaders with these kinds of skills who can represent the group – or to raise enough money to hire a lobbyist.

  133. Kazz September 4, 2010 10:37 am

Glad to hear that our UH students are fluent in “FRENCH”. 😆

Seriously though, good to hear them being as loud as possible. Hopefully that continues to the Stanley where they can possibly flush out the fuddy duddies sucking up space reading their stupid newspaper or knitting while a GAME is taking place!!!!!

  134. Kazz September 4, 2010 10:39 am

Until fans are willing to be more dedicated we cannot “brush off” the advertisers that are helping to keep UH athletics somewhat afloat with their hefty donations.

The advertisements don’t bother me one bit and I love seeing checks payable to UH athletics at ANY time.

By the way, how many regulars here know most of the Tsai-kos “real” names?

I’m curious – what is pan laulau? Main dish? Salad? Starch? Dessert? What are the key ingredients. Unless it’s something sweet or some form of chips & dips, I usually don’t eat much at potlucks.

    W/Doc ~

    Re: #133

I know the drill and the people responsible in the head shed. It was just my humble opinion of the new Jumbotron having seen it for the 1st time.

As you know, I am one who gets involved with the people who move and shake things when I feel a need to. Like you say, if you either write to them or speak to them directly, it does make a difference.

In this case, it’s just my observation of the screen. *I* think it is obscene to have 60% of the screen used for adverstising. If *I* could build the screen myself as a corporate donor, I would be saitisfied in knowing that it was my company that provided the viewers with a great shot of all the action. A simple sign on the top or bottom of the structure acknowledging my company would suffice.

We are bombarded with all these advertisments around the stadium already. It is part of our business regimen, and we know it pays the bills.

The little contest run in between TV time out, and the time out itself is another way of acknowledging those sponsers. I wish we could do away with them, but it is an added incentive. It can be a momentum killer on the field, when the Warriors are on a TD drive. I have a problem with advertising when it takes away from the spirit of the game…but then, that’s just me I guess.

As long as we have to rely on corporate money to pay the bills, we will have to subject ourselves to the audio/video assault on our senses. Not trying to form a lynch mob to change the order of things, simply expressing my opinion.

    Dudley Do-Right, where are you?

For all that said was bad in the secondary, I really liked how Bryant played. I think he broke up the string of consecutive passes that Barkley had. He also was involved in a pass break up that lead to a punt. He had a good game. However, I do agree that Davis did not.

Even with the “tip” USC couldn’t stop the Warrior’s offense. We didn’t lose on offense. We lost on a few missed tackles and poor coverage as well as a couple of controversial calls by the refs that cost us a few points and took some of the wind out of our sails. But you’re not going to win games giving up as many points as we did this past Saturday. Too often I saw defenders overrun the ball or carrier, sit back and just watch the receivers catch, and sometimes just look confused.

Can fix, though … may take a game or two.

  152. USMA BOW FAN September 4, 2010 12:20 pm

The USC game brought back memories of the most exciting game I’ve ever seen in person – the December ’78 game against USC. Aloha Stadium was shaking the entire game and soon-to-be Heisman Trophy winner Charles White taking smelling salts on the bench because he was getting hit so hard.

Anyway, I’d like to give an opposing view of next week’s game (which I’ll attend). In comparing offensive strengths against defensive strengths, I give the nod to Army.

Last year Army ranked 16th in rushing at 308 ypg. Hawaii ranked 107th in rushing defense at 201 ypg. It is likely that Army’s ground game is improved from last year due to greaterf amiliarity with the triple option and some personnel upgrades. Based upon the USC game, one really has to wonder if Hawaii will be worse than last year. If Army’s rushing game clicks and eats up the clock, they win.

Army’s pass defense last year ranked 3rd at 152 ypg (which is a huge improvement from my days as a cadet decades ago). Hawaii’s prolific passing attack was 3rd at 337 ypg.

It looks to me that Army has a greater offensive advantage than Hawaii. Other than the score, the key to the game is whether Army can control the ball and keep Hawaii’s offense off the field.

    My prediction: Army 27 – Hawaii 22

This will be only the second time in my life I will be routing against beloved Bows. (And don’t bother telling me they’re not the Bows; ten years of marketing can’t erase decades of tradition).

    Wafan ~ Aloha my friend!

Your plane will have departed by the time you read this msg. Just want you to know that it was great having the extra time to spend with you this year at our T-gate/ and the big game. Hope that by the time you read this, you will have had a safe and pleasant trip home.

Continued rehab wishes for your mom. I’ll be she’s at home cleaning your room and shaking her head & swearing that you never could keep a clean room! A woman’s work is never done!”

I’m sorry my newspaper and my wife’s knitting offend you. Please forgive us, O Seating God of the SSC. How dare me to spend my money supporting UH athletics. I’ll do you a favor and try to tell the other fuddy duddies to stay away from the SSC. On second thought that be to much to ask, so I suggest you have a special fuddy duddy entrance where reading material and knitting can be confiscated.

Hey man, give us a break — I’m trying to figure out how our newspapers and reading are an intrusion of the game. Is it because those things are more distrcting than the twitter da kines, ipods,mp3s, and cell phones. Maybe we’re to low tech or non-tech. Auwe!

  155. d1島 September 4, 2010 12:29 pm

    USMA BOW FAN,

First and foremost, thank you for your service.

    Secondly, welcome to the blog.

Finally…”Blow it out yer ear!” Nah, j/k! 😆

Numbers don’t lie….but then again, neither do they play the game on the field! Enjoy the game! (but not too much 😉 )

Why can’t NASCAR cars be just plain with a color scheme?

I don’t see it as a problem with the scoreboard banners.

When the green turf starts sporting corporate logos then that might bug me…

There was a time that there was no signage on the sidelines. Now its which signs get the camera angle.

When certain yard lines get designated that might bug me too…

    “The Olde English 40”

    “Kim Chee 2”

    “Kim Chee 3”

    “Kim Chee 4”

    “The Bar 35”

    “The 7up”

    “The OC16”

    “The 7-11 Zone”

“The 28th Day Sponsored by Tampax”

“The F-22 Sponsored by Hickam Air Force Base Credit Union”

USMA Bow Fan ~ I respect your game prediction and the numbers to justify your position.

As an old soldier myself who retired from Army service over 20 plus years ago, my alleigiance to the Corps is tuned to the max for the Army-Navy game every year.

I am not particularly comfortable with the Rainbow tag line for the Men’s teams, but for the Wahine teams, it makes more sense. I prefer using the Warrior name and logo, thank you.

Enjoy your return to West Point sir. I wish I could have made the trip myself. Maybe next time. I would still be cheering for the Warriors while at the game, just like I know Col. A-House and his family will be doing.

Pomai ~ My humble prediction for our Warriors remains the same from week to week at 56 to 13. When the aerial assault unit led by either Austin or Moniz gets in the groove, and our defense plays up to their potential…look out!

  158. Kekoa September 4, 2010 12:48 pm

bb ~ #157 Good one! It may just come to that one day…

  159. WenatcheeWarrior September 4, 2010 1:04 pm

That’s a very deceiving stat. The ONLY reason Army was ranked #3 in pass defense was because their opponents only passed the ball a combined 257 times last year. Hawaii through the ball 569 times in 2009, so clearly Army was not tested through the air. They mainly faced running teams. Next Saturday could get real ugly for the Cadet defense.

  160. Shoko September 4, 2010 1:04 pm

The Ole Miss – Jacksonville game is exciting!

  161. Shoko September 4, 2010 1:06 pm

  165. mctruck September 4, 2010 1:51 pm

Oregon State just scored on TCU…..I hope they kick butt because I think TCU has been walking around with a chip on their shoulders, and the fact that TCU represents the upper tier of the MWC.

  166. Kekoa September 4, 2010 1:57 pm

WenatcheeWarrior ~ Agreed. That’s why I respect USMA Bow Fan’s position, but feel that the lopsided score will make the “Long Gray Line” even longer getting to the exits.

I hope your neighbors at the Yakima Firing Center are behaving themselves and not letting any stray rounds go off course to your ‘Burbs!

  167. the Success Ladder September 4, 2010 1:57 pm

Its gonna be a serious challenge for our Warriors out there next week for sure.

    Old Fuddy Duddy,

Sitting still like a corpse is fine. What I and others find offensive is when such individuals expend their only energy of the evening telling others to be quiet during a sporting event.

Or throwing their wrapped up programs at such fans that express themselves over the tone of a whisper.

These are the real self-proclaimed “seating gods of the SSC”.

“Im so sorry, I didn’t realize the Stan Sheriff Center was your house. I didn’t see any slippers on the ground in front of Gate A.”

    😆

Steve ~ Army is struggling with EMU, but then again should they be with a team that had no wins last season? Last I heard the score was tied at 7. Coach Ellerson has confidence in his team, and I’m sure he will prepare accordingly for UH.

I’m sayin’ Army could put a notch in their belts and be high on a win before we come along and burst their bubble.

    Go Warriors

Word: Utah State lost to Oklahoma by 1 touchdown. They were down 21-0 but came back to make it a game. Only to lose 24-31 an held oklahoma scoreless in the 4th quarter. By the looks of it the Wac might be stronger this year. Lets see the Analyst talk about how UH torched SC for 500+ an Utah state held Oklahoma to 0 points in the 4th quarter.

  196. NYUH September 4, 2010 4:34 pm

TCU vs OS definitely the game of the day. OS taking over down by a TD with 4 minutes to go. Utah State showing it has some pizazz this year giving Oklahoma a scare.

  203. madeinhawaii September 4, 2010 4:47 pm

I’ve been thinking… (rare)… if UH were to play USC again in two weeks, could they win?

  204. gigi-hawaii September 4, 2010 4:48 pm

The last time the TV was on, Notre Dame was leading Purdue 20-12. Did they win?

  205. gigi-hawaii September 4, 2010 4:49 pm

    MIH, perhaps with better tackling?

  206. madeinhawaii September 4, 2010 4:52 pm

Army won over Eastern Michigan… 31-27… Army ran for a lot of yards but needed a timely turnover in the last quarter to take this win. I think Army will score in the first quarter or two against our Warriors but then the Warriors will pour football sized hail stones on them all night long and come out victorious..

48-21 UH wins… Warriors hold up after reaching 48 out of respect for our armed services… All of our non-redshirt receivers and qbs get to play some.

  207. gigi-hawaii September 4, 2010 4:57 pm

I thought it was nice that Shane Austin was able to show off his skills for his parents in the stands — throwing for 2 touchdowns. Awesome and chicken skin.

I would not want to be the Oregon State’s center. Rarely do you see a single mistake so clearly ruin a game.

Did the Star Ad publish the stats of the game? And not having the Stars of the game was strange.

Deja vu – Clay running through a UNLV line. Game on Versus.

Like UL Laf, Samford (and Son?), Tenn Tech, Youngstown, SF Austin, Western Kentucky, Sac. State, Ark. St., etc. Most of these games were romps against Div. Of course, Nevada had some upheaval just prior to the game when 1 or 2 players were suspended. I know 1 was sent home after he was caught shoplifting in Waikiki.

Fresyes (to the MWC) game is on but I wasn’t really paying attention. One of the announcers sounded familiar. OH NO!! Isn’t she the broad that did the Softball World Series? I’m now watching the local news. I would like her to do one of the Warrior games and laugh at her trying to pronounce the Polynesian names. She would be so confused that she would probably pronounce the mainland names wrong too. She can rant on about how the Warriors don’t play “real” football because they only throw the ball. In the mean time we would be racking up 500+ yards and 40+ points.hahaha

Top 3 teams in total offense are Hawaii, Nevada & Idaho. Nearly 600 yards of total offense against USC is impressive no matter how you spin it.

Hawaii has 3 of the top 11 receivers in total yards with Pilares at #2.

Shane Austin would have been the QB with the highest rating if he had more attempts.

Let’s pad those stats next Saturday.

    Go Warriors!!!

“Pistol gate” as it was called on the Sports Animals show yesterday is all a big hoax. I’m glad you were able to check through the news clips and was only able to find that one second blip. Don’t be so quick to assume that theses “great coaches” were able to take that quick glance. Someone else tipped them off. Not the news media. Monte Kiffen is an old dog…and old liar….and old coach. Coaches lie all the time. The Media ohana is pretty small around these parts. You guys all know each other. There’s no way someone would have slipped like that. I think the whole “I saw it on the news thing” is as credible as a musubi-eating alien in a cigar-shaped spacecraft!

    WAC teams:

    UH L

    Utah State L

    SJSU L

    La Tech W (D-IAA)

    Idaho W (D-IAA)

    Nevada W (D-IAA)

    Fresno State W (Cincy)

    NMSU doesn’t play this week

For the teams that will be left in the WAC, 0-3 against D-IA teams, 2-0 against D-IAA teams

    MWC teams:

    UNLV L

    Colorado State L

    New Mexico L

    Air Force W (D-IAA)

    SDSU W (D-IAA)

    Wyoming W (D-IAA)

    TCU W (Oregon State)

    BYU W (U-Dub)

    Utah W (Pitt)

If you don’t count BYU and Utah (they don’t count for them with the BCS), the MWC was 3-0 against D-IAA and 1-3 against D-IA. If Fresno and Nevada join them next season, then Fresno’s win over Cincy and Nevada’s D-IAA win counts for the MWC.

  246. Garret September 4, 2010 7:25 pm

The non-AQ conferences split millions of dollars each year based on how each conference ranks in nonconference records. For that ranking, BSU/Fresno/Nevada count for the WAC and BYU/Utah count for the MWC. I’d still rather BSU, Fresno, and Nevada lose to hurt the MWC’s BCS AQ appeal.

  247. RedZone September 4, 2010 7:28 pm

I saw the team playing Georgia today lined up in the pistol. LSU lined in the pistol today too.

  248. greenthumb September 4, 2010 7:33 pm

#247 Garret, does the MWC still take a hit on BCS AQ appeal if Fresno and Nevada tank this year but BSU runs the table? I confess I would like UH to see some $$ from Boise before it leaves.

As for the Kiffins and the pistol offense, I am still trying to figure out what they accomplished by saying they saw it on TV. Wouldn’t their prestige have been better served by just “being prepared” and not talking about it? Even if I was a USC fan, that whole ESPN fawning over how the dad stayed up so late preparing would have made me gag a little.

  249. curveball September 4, 2010 7:54 pm

    Colt stuff off the WEB…

Colt Brennan ended up being the lone cut among the group. The cut was expected when you consider he came into camp late after the injury to Frye and then the Raiders played him all of one series in the entire preseason. He really had no shot at making the team which is a shame for him. However, because of previous injuries, he has never been on a regular season roster so he is eligible for the practice squad. The question ends up being whether he would accept the offer or decline and opt for playing in the UFL or CFL instead. And of course there is the possibility that another team will swipe him up on the waiver wire. We will find out in the coming days.

  250. Mad Dog September 4, 2010 8:07 pm

Fresno looked awsome against Cincinnati, especially Fresno’s D line. #43 Chris Carter is a load. Cincy was double teaming him and literally tackling him in an attempt to stop him. #93 Chris Lewis was also effective. Cincy’s QB was running for his life on pass plays. I lost count after 6 sacks.

Aloha All…catching up on the WB for today.

OK, I can’t resist…with all due respect to our USMA Bow Fan…being a graduate of our esteemed West Point Academy, you certainly are aware of the consequences of making assumptions. And I, with respects to D1, will assert that numbers can indeed mislead, reference #160, WanatcheeWarrior. Almost invariably, a team with a losing record can be a national leader in rushing/passing defense if their opponents don’t feel a need to run/pass against them.

Getting back to assumptions…just because this is the second year of the option doesn’t automatically mean they will do better (chances are good tho’). What if the opponents are better this year? And, by the way, with UH’s not so good 2009 rushing defense, how in the world did they beat Navy? Actually, the only team to hold Navy scoreless in the second half. Oh, and didn’t Navy beat Army? One other assumption made (implied) was that the USC game meant that Hawaii would have a worse defense than last year. If Army had played USC, I wonder how their defense would have done? Possibly better, possibly not.

Hey…just having fun after studying all day! Good to have another vet on board. I am jealous that I won’t be able to be there next Sat. Kekoa and I would have dearly cherished the opportunity to tour the facilities and soak in the ambiance. Even moreso on an auspicious 9/11 weekend.

#247 Garret, does the MWC still take a hit on BCS AQ appeal if Fresno and Nevada tank this year but BSU runs the table? I confess I would like UH to see some $$ from Boise before it leaves.

    greenthumb,

Yes, if Fresno and Nevada tank then that would balance some of BSU doing well. BSU would keep $3 million their BCS money but the 6 teams left would split the other $3 million…$500k for UH. If the WAC forces Fresno/Nevada to stay another year, then the $3 million would be split 8 ways…$375k for UH.

However, 1 of the big criteria for the MWC is the highest ranked team in the conference. Losing BYU and Utah really kills them in the criteria for the number of ranked teams (though they will still be in the top 6 as required), so they have to really do well in the highest ranked team category in order to qualify for the appeals process for AQ status.

So, if either TCU or BSU runs the table, the MWC will be high enough in the highest ranked team category to go through the AQ appeals process. If both TCU and BSU lose a couple of games this year and next year, then the MWC might *not* qualify for the appeal and their AQ chances would be eliminated.

Losing BYU and Utah does *not* prevent the MWC from becoming an AQ conference…but it got rid of their entire margin for error. So, they need one of their teams to be ranked really high (#6 or better probably) this year and next year. The appeals process will be interesting because a couple of the AQ conferences (I think the Big East and ACC) also have to go through the appeals process because they may only pass 2 of the 3 criteria like the MWC. In that situation, it would be hard for the BCS to keep the MWC out. However, the BCS would be *very* happy if the MWC didn’t qualify for the appeal, so I’m betting they are cheering against TCU and BSU.

Taking Fresno and Nevada actually boosted the MWC’s chances for their appeal because it made the MWC far stronger in computer points than the WAC, boosting their appeal application. The MWC used to be #7 and the WAC #8 and not that far behind in average team rating…but after BSU/Nevada/Fresno goes to the MWC, the MWC will be #7 with the #8 conference (C-USA) far behind them. That gap might make their appeal impossible to deny.

I have to agree, we are still a passing team and moving the RB behind the QB affected us more than them, but I have to take issue with your over the musubi-eating alien in a cigar-shaped spacecraft. I once saw one during the 6:00 sports report.

  260. Garret September 4, 2010 9:24 pm

In addition to Colt and Ray Hisatake, I think that Kynan Forney was also waived. I’m also saddened that Samson is not going to start at center for the Raiders. Oakland is going to be starting a huge dude at center.

Rookie Jared Veldheer, a third-round draft pick out of Division II Hillsdale College in Michigan, was named the starting center. He beat out four-year veteran Samson Satele, whom the Raiders traded for before last season.

Raiders coach Tom Cable settled upon Veldheer after starting him at center in only one exhibition game. He was drafted as an offensive tackle, a position for which his 6-foot-8, 315-pound frame would seem better suited.

  261. papajoe2 September 4, 2010 9:30 pm

Hope to see you guys again in the future but not sure when, but, I am sure that I will be having fun. I regret not using the UH flag to walk through the USC TV interview portion though.hahaha. Hope your wife and grand daughter(?) got over their minor ailment.

  262. Shoko September 4, 2010 9:30 pm

When you look at Pack and the Dawgs BCS rankings the last two seasons, it doesn’t look like they would significantly increase the MWC’s conference ranking. I don’t think gaining Fresno and Nevada compensates for BYU’s exit. However, BSU going to a National Championship would surely put them over the top. Logically, if the MWC really wants BCS status, it would behoove Fresno and Nevada to throw their games against the Broncos and not ruin their chances for a National Championship, yet win all their nonconference games. I doubt that is the mindset of Fresno and Nevada tho.

  263. Garret September 4, 2010 9:36 pm

    Shoko,

You are correct, Fresno and Nevada don’t help the MWC’s average BCS rating much at all. However, the computer rating gap between the WAC and MWC is huge after BSU/Fresno/Nevada leave.

One big criteria that losing Utah and BYU hurt the MWC is the number of ranked teams in the conference. If TCU ends up ranked high this season, then it actually would help the MWC to have Fresno and/or Nevada beat BSU…that would probably get them ranked in the top 25 and be a huge boost to that AQ criteria.

  264. Shoko September 4, 2010 9:58 pm

    Garret,

Thats what I found interesting in your post. I wasn’t aware the gap between conference rankings played a factor in the appeals process. However, it makes sense when you consider the other BCS conferences (Big East and ACC).

Since BSU is ranked higher than TCU, I would think BSU going undefeated rather than TCU, would be a better scenario for the MWC’s ranking.

  265. madeinhawaii September 4, 2010 10:34 pm

Was this the closest game we’ve ever had with USC? 13 points?

I kind of like starting the season with a ranked team. Our players are focuses well before the season starts and even if we lose the first game, there’s still the possibility of ending up 13-1… which would be our best season ever.

  271. Michigan Warrior September 5, 2010 3:22 am

I always thought pooch kicks were usually done for field position. I mean, if you don’t have a FG kicker who can hit FG’s from the 35-yard line or farther (which would be a 52-53 yard FG), you’d try to pin your opponent deep in their own territory, instead of giving them the ball at the 35 or so.

    Eagle,

Even *BYU* has to give 2-for-1 deals now to schedule schools like Notre Dame and Texas. The economics of TV deals and ticket sales at stadiums with luxury boxes really creates a situation that did not exist even 3 years ago. The way that ESPN is treating BYU and UH makes it clear that BYU is a far biggest TV draw than UH, but BYU is setting a precedent for 2-for-1 deals.

Not that many teams recruit in Hawaii–Pac-10, MWC, Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Baylor. Other SEC, Big East, Big 10, and Big 12 schools do *not* recruit in Hawaii without any regularity. Recruiting is a selling point to schools that recruit here, but schools recruit far more in other places. Did you know that Oregon State just played a “home” game against TCU in Cowboys stadium? Oregon State got a nice check for moving their home game there, but you can bet that their heavy recruiting in Texas played a huge role in their playing their “home” game in Texas.

The Hawaii Exemption is *far* less valuable than it was before because the NCAA kept adding games to the season without increasing the number of weeks that games can be played. Schools that want more than 1 bye week do NOT schedule an extra game when they play at Aloha Stadium…this is not uncommon anymore. Also, with almost every conference going to championship games, the end-of-season big nonconference home game for UH may be ending.

In 2013 it appears that the NCAA will allows D-IA teams to play over 15 weeks instead of just 14 weeks. That extra week makes the Hawaii Exemption much more valuable. How much more valuable? UH has home games with USC, BYU, Army and Washington! UH doesn’t have a single nonconference road game scheduled in 2013, since everybody wants to play in Hawaii that year to take advantage of how exemption that year. I (and many other UH fans) have been talking for a long time about how the Hawaii Exemption would be valuable again if the NCAA gave schools an extra week for the season. Since the NCAA let everyone play 12 games in 14 weeks, UH has *never* had as good of a home nonconference schedule in my opinion as USC, BYU, Army and Washington. Do you dispute that?

With no team wanting to fly to Hawaii the week before a conference title game, and with an increasing number of games not being played on Saturdays, bye weeks are valuable to teams right now. If a team plays on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, they pretty much HAVE to use up a bye week. BYU may be playing up to 2 games on Thursday each season as an independent…that pretty much takes up their 2 potential bye weeks.

The other part of the equation is that some teams do not mind 2-for-1 deals because it typically provides a payment for the extra road game. I’ve read that other schools bank $1 million or more for having 1 less home game…you think that UH couldn’t use that money?

  274. Stretch's Friend September 5, 2010 5:07 am

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY STRETCH!!!!!

  275. Michigan Warrior September 5, 2010 5:29 am

It’s all about the money… and we don’t have any. And, if we continue to snub those big schools that might want to schedule us, we’ll be so far in the red, we’ll end up having to cut certain sports programs like many schools are already doing. I’d rather keep what programs we have, and hit the road for some paychecks so that our teams will be able to afford better equips in the future. Despite all of this, our teams are getting better… so we’re hitting the road for a paycheck, gaining more exposure for possible recruits, and possibly picking up more wins in front of a bigger national audience… especially since we have zero games scheduled to be aired the rest of this year.

  276. Michigan Warrior September 5, 2010 5:36 am

Follow up to 276… “especially since we have zero games scheduled *by ESPN* to be aired *nationally* the rest of this year.” Of course, we may gain some added interest if we make the corrections needed from this first game, and tear through the rest of this season. I don’t know how ESPN’s contract is with the WAC, but if we’re on fire, I’d imagine being able to pick up additional nationally televised games. Don’t quote me on this… just guessing as it would seem to make sense if it were the case.

  277. Garret September 5, 2010 5:44 am

    Michigan Warrior,

ESPN’s contract allows them to pick up UH’s games later in the season (for free) if UH is doing well. Trouble is, UH’s last 3 games are against NMSU, SJSU, and UNLV…not exactly attractive teams to ESPN.

  278. Michigan Warrior September 5, 2010 5:49 am

#278… Thanks, Garret. Just wasn’t sure because although this USC game is the only one solidly scheduled, I do recall seeing us in every game at the end of a couple of previous seasons, due to how we were playing up to that point.

  279. Garret September 5, 2010 5:57 am

    Michigan Warrior,

It just shows the importance of winning. If UH wins, ESPN shows UH more. If UH loses, ESPN won’t show UH even though they can show the games for free.

  280. Garret September 5, 2010 6:03 am

It looks like BYU’s TV deal gets $1.2 million for some games and $800k for others–I’m guessing $800k is for games on ESPNU and $1.2 million is for ABC and ESPN games. So, they get:

    3 games minimum on ABC/ESPN @ $1.2 million each = $3.6 million

    1 game minimum on ESPNU @ $800k = $800k

They get local rebroadcast rights (like UH has with Oceanic/K5) that is estimated to be worth $3 million–just slightly more than UH gets.

So, if BYU tanks every season, they should get $4.4 million from ESPN while UH gets $325k to $400k from ESPN as part of the WAC. If they do well and ESPN picks up more games, they get $1.2 million more for each ESPN/ABC game. That is why the suggestion of being a football-only member of the WAC doesn’t make sense to me because the whole reason for being independent is getting TV rights.

With games scheduled with BYU, USC, and others, UH should be able to get significantly more than what it gets from the WAC TV deal right now. BYU is guaranteed 10x more than the WAC teams get now…and the WAC will get less TV money once BSU leaves.

By visiting your webpage, the first impression for me is strong. I can’t imagine when and why you share this great topic but don’t spread it with social bookmarking. This information can be published as reference in online journal, or even in press release site. An early improvement in your site is great, can give us more time in your website. Would you mind if I capture several screenshot as my collection, because I’ve joined several researches? General purpose for me is to tell you about this discussion. My critical question for us is the resource that you have used to manage this site. In order to make great discussion, you are great because you post new topic in several areas. But, I suggest in giving personal opinion, please refer to big or authority sites, I am sure you will be fine in giving past or future experiences. In my environment, I am sure your capability to enrich people can be strong advantage for your future.

Just questioning if eBay enables you to sell concert tickets on the internet? Do you know if you will find any restrictions based on what country you’re in?

My parents have just referred to as me and asked if i could “get rid” of their two tickets to some concert as they wont have the ability to make it because of one more family event.

Apart from asking pals etc, i thought ebay would be a fantastic place to market them.

But whats ebay’s policy on marketing tickets? Ive heard alot about it about the news but ive forgotten what happened.

and if it matters, the concert is inside this coming month

Thanks ahead of time for the advice.

Identifying the target value is difficult, but Peter Schiff & Gerald Celente have already accurately predicted the current $1200 price and the 5,000 price soon. So hold onto your hat! May be all future materials can change color if given some current. Like E-ink. Also if the data needs to flow seamlessly from one device medium to another, we need to buy all microsoft product only including the coffee cup shown. How does iPhone fit into this ecosystem.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

LASIK (stands for Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) is a popular surgical process in Singapore to treat near-sightedness, far-sightedness and astigmatism. It has several advantages over PRK, Epi-LASIK, LASEK and other varieties of refractive surgery – LASIK is painless, there is no corneal haze dilemma and recovery is faster. Lasiksg.com

With the 2009 annual pocket bike report of some major sporting scooter goods companies coming out successively, the ranking list of sporting goods fitness equipment brands in the domestic ATV market seems to have some changes, after a slight glance we can find that a new scooters competition pattern is forming quietly. For example, Li Ning pole has ranked second in the industry with 8.387 billion yuan annual electric bike sales volume, which first exceeds Adidas and squeeze into the electric bike leader ranks. Generally speaking, the profit level of sporting goods electric bikes industry is higher, and it has strong household items premium capacity and attraction. In skyrunner industry the profit allocation pattern of industrial chain in all links results in the double squeeze from brand scooters manufacturers.

Chemical engineers design processes to ensure the very most efficient work. This means that the entire producing chain needs to be planned and controlled for costs. A chemical engineer can either simplify or complicate showcase effects for an economic benefit. Utilizing a higher pressure or temperature makes several reactions simpler; ammonia, for example, is simply produced from the making up elements in a high-pressure reactor. Otherwise, reactions with a low yield can be recycled endlessly, which would be complicated, arduous work if done manually in the laboratory. It is not unusual to build 6-step or even 12-step evaporators to reuse the vaporization energy for an economic advantage. In contrast, laboratory chemists evaporate things in just one step.
