UH announced that it received 30 applications for the vacant head coaching job for football.
At 4:30 p.m. today, the search-advisory committee convened for the first time. Through an arrangement between UH and HGEA, the union representing state workers, the committee was permitted to begin reviewing applications.
There is no timeline on hiring the next UH head coach for football.

The next step in the search for McMackin’s successor begins this evening when the search-advisory committee meets for the first time. The six members may begin reviewing the applications after the end of today’s work day, although applications still will be accepted.
