Action Jackson

Sterling Jackson is admittedly adventurous, saying, “I like the rush.” Which is appropriate for a running back counted on to be the Warriors’ top rusher. Some fun facts:

• Jackson was raised in Stone Mountain, a Georgia suburb in DeKalb County. In July 2009, Stone Mountain’s population was 7,722.

• In high school, he was on the football, track, wrestling and swimming teams. In track, his best time in the 100-meter dash was 10.7 seconds. In swimming, he competed in the freestyle and backstroke events.

• One of his hobbies growing up was fishing. He caught mostly catfish.

• “I’m trying to learn how to surf,” Jackson said. “It’s a little rough. It’s getting better. Some of my neighbors in my dorm are teaching me. We’ll go to Waikiki. I stood up one time. It was cool.”

• His next goal? “I want to try skydiving,” he said.

Under new special teams coach Dick Tomey, the Warriors are turning loose John Hardy-Tuliau to block kicks. During his varsity career at Vista Murrieta High, Hardy-Tuliau blocked 26 kicks.

During Vista Murrieta’s season, he worked on his kick-blocking technique every day. “It’s ingrained in me,” he said. “I like it. It’s a big play.”

The key is to extend his arms and place both hands early in the kick’s flight. Stings? “With adrenaline, I can’t feel it,” he said. “Sometimes it hurts, but if you do it enough, it doesn’t.”

  4. Stephen Tsai April 5, 2011 6:39 am

Not sure if it’s a surprise, but I think Art Laurel and Darryl McBride are doing well rotating as the pass-rushing linebacker.

  5. Pauoa Boy April 5, 2011 6:56 am

I thought Aaron Brown was the pass-rushing linebacker? Either way as long as the put the heat on and smash grills, it’s all good.

Never understood why John Hardy-Tuliau wasn’t let loose last year. I mean it’s a no-brainer when you have a guy who pretty much led the nation in blocked kicks in high school and not use him to frikkin block kicks or let him loose. It’s all timing and it’s obvious JHT has that knack to jump the snap and get in the kickers path. I’m glad more guys are able to play in more places all over the field. I’m pretty sure JHT keeps one side of the DB position locked down this year and then also gets on the special teams. Same with Kamalani Alo, he and Jordan Monico stood out on special teams last year. I’m hoping he gets JHT’s spot as that nickleback cause Alo is big and strong and can pound guys!

    Good Morning Tsaikos!!

Jackson – I guess he has no problem with the 10m platform jump

Hardy-Tuliau – didn’t he block a kick early last season?? After that, it seemed he didn’t go after them

  7. Stephen Tsai April 5, 2011 7:02 am

    PB:

The Warriors have been trying a nickel defense in which the fourth “defensive lineman” is either Laurel or McBride. Mack ran a variation of that scheme in the 1999 Oahu Bowl, with linebacker Jeff Ulbrich aligned as a rush end.

  8. Kekoa April 5, 2011 7:13 am

ST ~ Will you be traveling to Hilo with the team?

The Big Island Chapter of the International Brotherhood of Tsaiko’s has extended an invitation for you to join in to mark this historical visit.

I’m told that they will be serving exotic delicacies from the ocean, as well as specially selected farm animals cooked over an open fire. Adult beverages will be served. (A note from the blog host’s wife is not required).

  9. bigislandkurt April 5, 2011 7:19 am

Specially selected Farm animals is right!

Come visit with the Big Island folks! The landing zone is about 10 minutes away from the stadium, 15 with traffic 🙂

PB ~ Thanks for providing those smash-mouth, shi-shi pants images of the Warriors poised for battle. I’m looking forward to seeing them carry out their assignments as you have predicted.

Last season it seemed like our spesho team sleep walked thru punt defense. I’m anxious as hell to see a more aggressive style of play out there this year.

  35. NCAA April 5, 2011 9:03 am

Missed a lot of action from the earlier blogs.

Action Jackson, surfing at Waikiki is a rush? Must’ve been 6′-8′. 10.7 sec in the 100 meters would make him faster than the local high school boys. I can’t wait to see the RB stable come opening game.

  38. Garret April 5, 2011 9:12 am

Great news that Coach Tomey will set John Hardy-Tuliau free to try to block some kicks! John Hardy-Tuliau is a weapon that UH seemed to decide not to use as the season went on.

If Hardy-Tuilau hadn’t blocked the kick against Army, Army would have been able to run out the clock on their final drive instead of giving UH a chance to score. That single blocked kick might have changed the whole season…if UH had come home from the road trip 0-3, the attendance and team morale might have been hit hard.

    Amazing stat for UConn:

Big East regular season: 9-9, tied for 9th/10th/11th in the Big East.

Against teams not from the Big East: 18-0.

  45. al April 5, 2011 9:46 am

also looking forward to seeing ex-qb turned rb joey iosefa. at a slimmed down 232 lbs he could do damage back there. he’s a natural runner with good vision. he ran a lot of option and wishbone in hs. he could also develop into a wildcat threat with his passing abilities or some kind of gadget play in the future.

  46. Bowwar April 5, 2011 10:04 am

  49. bigislandkurt April 5, 2011 10:27 am

Ask and you shall receive — a brief breakdown on some places to visit when you trek down to the Hilo side. (Big Island folks, please feel free to chime in).

Places for grind: Perhaps some of you have heard of the grindz of legendary proportions like the pork chops at Manago, the Hamburger Steak at Ka’alaiki Cafe in Na’alehu, or the breakfast plates at Hawaiian Style Cafe in Waimea. But for this edition, I’mma keep it in the Hilo/Puna vicinity. Now if you feel like driving to Kona, Waimea, or Ka’u, go for it. Kona and Ka’u for coffee for sure! The island is big and there are many things to see and good stuff to consume beyond the districts of Hilo and Puna.

Hilo places BIK recommends: Ponds — was the old Harringtons on the Ice pond in Hilo. The owners of Kens now run the place and the food is solid. Good tasting, good price. Ono for lunch or dinner. And if you feel like going to the old faithful Hilo landmark instead — Ken’s house of Pancakes and their monsterous menu is always good and consistent. For those who like spend a little more, you might want to check out Hilo Seaside Restaurant. Fresh Moi, aholehole, mullet or steak. Need I say more? Nori’s good too. And last but not least, I gotta give a mention to the town of Pahoa — YES, Pahoa — about 45 minutes from Hilo, but a great collection of places to eat from Mexican to local to Italian. Pahoa is known to be a rather eccentric place so don’t be alarmed if you see one guy riding one unicycle while talking story to one Filipino papaya farmer.

Things to see — Hilo itself. Drive around, pretty interesting place. Downtown Hilo got a real nice collection of shops, places to eat, and of course, the farmers market. We got some good farmers Markets. The ones I like are the Kino’ole street (former supermarket where Kawate seed shop is at), Keaau Village Market, the Hilo Coffee Mill in Mountain View and the Maku’u farmers Market on Sundays. I love these markets. Hilo is not really known for Golf, but there is a municipal course and the 9 at Naniloa. If you feel like driving, the volcano golf course is beautiful. I don’t Golf so I can’t tell you much more. There are some attractions like the Imiloa Astronomy Center, the lyman house, the Hilo Tsunami museum, and the ocean discovery center. Omiyage? Big Island candies, long johns from lankeys, Punalu’u bread or smoke meat and other kine stuff from da bradduhs on the side of the road selling. I’m sure there are many things I’m leaving out. But this is just my short, rushed list! haaaa. Be well gang. Hope to see you guys on Saturday. Remember, we got a BIG island, so hopefully we can catch Coach Mack’s ear and say that the Big Island deserves TWO visits from the Warriors. One in Hilo, and the next one in Kona!

    BIK

    Mr. al,

Natural runner, natural athlete, natural abilities, I picture the complete opposite, those that are uncoordinated, clumsy, stiff, brick hands, lol. Does that mean if you look ordinary doing something athletic you are a natural? Similar to dancing isn’t it?

Thinking more about it. I would say if you make something difficult look easy then you are a natural.

  51. Pomai April 5, 2011 10:29 am

  55. NCAA April 5, 2011 10:37 am

Yes, it is good to read that JHT will be unbridled. It would also be good to read that Tomey will have the punt/kickoff coverage team on the field and ready to go instead of someone sitting on the bench or looking for their helmet.

  56. Michigan Warrior April 5, 2011 10:48 am

  68. bigislandkurt April 5, 2011 11:54 am

Al, yes — Isles drive in by Suisan is still open. I didn’t even divulge into the drive in scene — Vernas, Blanes, Cafe 100 and of course K’s. All steady and consistent. I like those fried peach pineapple turnovers at Cafe and K’s!

Kekoa — The Ponds place I mentioned in my post is right there across the street from the seaside. The cafe you mentioning is the Coconut grill I think.

The last time I went to the Big Island was back in the mid-70’s.

  73. gigi-hawaii April 5, 2011 12:23 pm

Everything in Hilo sounds so informal and cheap. Are there any hotels there that offer fine dining, with table cloth, cloth napkins, and crystal goblets? That’s what I like.

I’m thinking: La Mer at the Halekulani, Bali By The Sea at Hilton Hawaiian Village — all in Wakiki.

    Does Hilo have something similar?

  74. gigi-hawaii April 5, 2011 12:23 pm

  78. gigi-hawaii April 5, 2011 12:34 pm

    D1,

Is Waikoloa the hotel with the gondolas? I think I stayed there — the Hilton Waikoloa — it’s been a long time.

I was last on the Big Island in 1989.

  79. Pauoa Boy April 5, 2011 12:35 pm

ST – True dat, I guess we don’t really have a base defense since we’re always switching it up and actually played more of that nickle package last year no??? Either way, I say release the hounds and let um loose. We got some speed guys for a reason, so let them wreak havoc and create chaos and when they arrive to violence, obliterate anyone in the way!

Frikk just think if we were able to have all our past recruits qualify, that’s a lot of talent wasted…especially at linebacker where we would have had Chad Lopati, T.J. Alofipo, Zach Quines, etc… All former All-State guys plus what we have now, we would be jacking people up all day.

  80. madeinhawaii April 5, 2011 12:35 pm

I’ve been using Kinesio tape since the early 80’s. Expensive stuff.

  81. d1shima April 5, 2011 12:41 pm

KT Tape is like $12.00 a roll at Sports Authority last time I had to buy some.

It does help, I have a pinching pain in between my funny bone and my elbow when I am at the gym. It only hurts when working my left tricep.

I probably should see a doctor about it.

  92. kapakahi April 5, 2011 1:13 pm

    Al…

While Joey is an absolute bull and has surely impressed with during spring practices, JMHO that the quickest and most natural instinctive runner is still John Lister. All 3 top RBs (Jackson, Iosefa, Lister) bring different running styles and complement each other well. The RB position looks to be in good shape for coming season….not even considering incoming true frosh RB Will Gregory (Dominguez High School).

    NCAA…

Among local high school RB prospects, don’t forget about RB Steven Lakalaka (Punahou) who also bears watching this fall season. While not as quick & fast as Wily, Lakalaka is already a strong instinctive runner with excellent hands.

A friend was camping with her family a few years back when a Hawaiian Monk Seal came along and decided to sunbathe right on the beach near their campsite. Some officals arrived shortly and taped off the area and posted a sign saying:

    There are two rules:

Do not go near the Monk Seal.

Do not poke the Monk Seal.

I laughed at this story because wouldn’t the first rule essentially take care of the second rule?

I mean unless some bored person is going to tape a crapload of chopsticks together to fashion a long poking device, I think telling people to stay away is good enough.

@ gigi-hawaii. Everything in Hilo is informal but not so cheap well compared to Oahu anyway.

@ al. And is the Japanese place the Seaside Restaurant? The one in Keaukaha side.

    Howzit Tsaikos!

gigi – there’s more than one hotel at Waikoloa – Hilton, Outrigger, Marriott,… and Kona Airport is closer, although you will have to descend the stairs and walk on the tarmac just like the old days.

One time we flew to Hilo early morning for a funeral that was at 11am. Had breakfast at Kens, then drove up to Tex’s for malasadas, then drove back down for the funeral. Back in HNL by 3pm.

Blogmeister must be back in HNL in time for MVB Senior Night, so no holoholo for him.

  101. Kazz April 5, 2011 1:27 pm

Back in ’02 me and some friends rented out some cabanas out on the westside. Was a nice beachfront property and it was cool because the owner laid out all these houserules considering NONE of us were 21 at the time and the owner conviently did NOT specifiy “no drinking”… anyway…. 😎 there was this mini-lagoon out there right in the backyard and I swear there were green sea turtles everywhere.

It was trippy because I couldn’t remember if they were on the endangered species list.

We ran down there and got in the water with them. One of my friends tried to lift one out of the water until he realized how slippery their shells were and he didn’t want to get bitten.

We took a bunch of photos and I dunno what happened to them.

  102. Unkanesson April 5, 2011 1:29 pm

    Howzit Tsaiko Nation!

Still lurkin’ here on the Big Island…but planning to head over from the wes’ side to the eas’ side Saturday and will be looking for Tsaikos to connect with!

More suggested eateries — if you’re visiting Kona side, Pine Trees Cafe just a couple miles south of the airport, mauka side, excellent plate lunches, ask if get fried rice (‘ono), good burgers too. Fine dining available at all the resorts, especially Kohala Coast (esp. Monette’s at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel), but don’t pass up the local establishments. Merriman’s in Waimea is the tops, but also Red Water Cafe in Waimea, and Bamboo in Hawi (North Kohala) if you have time for the drive. Cafe Pesto in Kawaihae or Hilo is awesome for pasta and pizza. For Japanese fusion-style, Kenichi’s in Keauhou.

Okay, I gotta go eat. Hope to see you many of you folks Saturday!

    Gigi,

Mauna Lani received some inundation from the tsunami, but the only damage was to a halau wa’a on the shoreline, which is being rebuilt, and the boat house by the ramp. Most of the mess has been cleaned up, with no significant impact on the operation of the hotel.

Imiloa Astronomy Center is a cool place managed by UH Hilo with students to pay off work-study loans. It set up for fine dining but the casual look is in. The food is good and buffet (tsaiko criteria) and menu changes daily. recommended

I think Will Gregory is going to be a special running back for us, as long as he puts in the work. Watching his highlight vid and his production at Dominguez just shows a glimpse of this guys ability and potential. I haven’t seen much of Lister but have seen some vids and also hear alot of word of mouth from my Samoan friends that Joey Iosefa is a mean athlete. He was supposedly the best all-around athlete coming out his Senior year as well as another guy we got coming in…Penitito Faalologo at LB…

Jmxxx ~ You’ll just have to cover the mvb game for the blogmeister on Sat. Something tells me Stretch may even change his plans and come to Hilo. Just have screech turn the volume up.

DPK ~ I got your email. The Hilo Tsai-ko’s are responding to the call of the Warriors by networking by email. It’s a beautiful thing!

Note to all the fans attending the scrimmage:

Look for the large white banner with the distinctive Tsai-ko logo on it.

Would be really funny to see 5,000 peeps show up trying to get a seat in a section that can only handle 500!

    GO WARRIORS!

I think the Hilo Japanese restaurant near Suisan you are talking about is the Nihon Restaurant and Cultural Center. My favorite Japanese place in Hilo is Miyo’s. It’s kind of hidden, but the food is good and reasonable. When I lived in Hilo a few years ago, I also liked Pescatore, Cafe Pesto, Kuhio Grille, Hilo Bay Cafe, and Seaside. When in doubt, Ken’s has a menu big enough to please almost everyone in a group. If you’re looking for a sports bar, try Cronies.

Hopefully Jackson is as good as advertised. We lost a big part of our success last year when Alex Green graduated. A blocked kick is as good as a turnover. Expecting really big things from JHT. Looking forward to Greg Salas getting drafted.

  121. al April 5, 2011 7:01 pm

so before coqui’s bar wasn’t it a fancy japanese restaurant???

come on now. one of you hiloans must know otherwise i’ll have to ask the new owner myself.

The “check engine” light came on again today. Second time in a week. Going to take it back to Goodyear tomorrow.

If it’s the same problem, they will fix it at no extra charge.

If it’s something else, we will take it to Kia, where they will honor our 10 year warranty.

My Hyundai Accent is 9 yrs old…

Hubby says to wait til Nissan irons out the kinks.

  127. homey ℞ April 5, 2011 8:13 pm

  128. gigi-hawaii April 5, 2011 8:15 pm

yeah, homes, you could be right. maybe we should cancel our 7 am appt tomorrow.

  129. homey ℞ April 5, 2011 8:15 pm

Could be something as easy as a faulty or loose gas cap. Do you remember what the code was when Goodyear scanned your car?

  130. gigi-hawaii April 5, 2011 8:17 pm

hubby checked the gas cap when he got home. still says check engine.

    Goodyear replaced the temperature sensor.

  131. gigi-hawaii April 5, 2011 8:18 pm

but you are right. why bother with goodyear? kia will honor the warranty.

  153. d1shima April 5, 2011 8:36 pm

besides, he doesn’t have an appt with kia, just with Goodyear.

  161. homey ℞ April 5, 2011 8:55 pm

Hmmmm, I wonder if Goodyear will find another problem not related to the $286 problem.

  162. gigi-hawaii April 5, 2011 8:58 pm

Could this be the problem? —

daughter tried to fill up my car with gas, but it rejected it after $8 worth or 1/2 tank.

  163. al April 5, 2011 9:07 pm

    so let’s have a contest….

where at 7am will homes and gigi be going for their date?

Before Rich Miano became a UH coach, he owned a bar in Waikiki. It was a nice place except for one problem: two well-known guys would go there every night and always hit on the women. Eventually, women stopped going into the bar, and any place without women is, well, just sad.

The point of the story is: Nobody is allowed to hit on Princess Leila, Liane or Esme in this blog.

    Thanks.

I called the ticket office today and single game seats will be available on July 23. I will try to get seats in Section 107 which is behind the Warriors bench – approx 50 yard line with 10 yards on either side. The tickets will be $30 each.

    …..

So far, we’ve exceeded the 30 tickets, so let’s see how many Tsaikos we can get together.

Just listen to you guys – chirping away, cracking jokes, trading old time stories, food favorites and eateries, singing songs and commercial jingles, ….

Life is so sweet – just an off-day for the Warriors, and the Tsaiko’s go – psycho! Maybe the “s” is not that far off w/ MSU? Maybe the AD will get busy w/ the “s” (Cut the deal already!), the new HC for BB, and all the other tasks remaining.

As for the Tsaiko’s, – no worries… not today. Everyone is just bouncing off the walls, non-stop chatter, like kid’s OD’d on sugar! It was right about this time my Mom would say something like, “Enough already! You’re wearing out my ears! Go outside and play!” You guys remember that? Haha! Life is good in Tsai-land, Warrior Nation!!!

With our stable of running backs, too bad there won’t be enough playing time for all of this talented group.

Personally, I’d like to see Rolo periodically throw in a 2-RB offense. I think it would improve the ground game and also spread the field better in the run-n-shoot when the backs run their patterns from the backfield.

    curt…

gonna be interesting as it goes down to the wire.

as of yesterday the coach said everyone will be back.

soon, like tomw. season ending evals will begin.

players will be told where improvement is needed.

anticipated roles for next year if improved or not improved.

some will be happy and some will be unhappy.

    status’ could change quickly.

  191. al April 5, 2011 11:16 pm

a lot of long tall humans will be visiting this weekend.

in a week faxed documents will be coming through the coach’s office.

these docs will determine how our team will do in one or two years from now.

this year’s bb recruits shall make or break the program more than last year’s group.

next year, only one scholie will exist unless creative roster moves occur.

You need to look tough in a Hummer.

If I had money to throw around I’d go for the BMW X6m for cruising and a Jeep Cherokee SRT8 for adding on performance goodies and taking it to the track.

Some things don’t change. Going through the April 5, 2007 blog, I find this…

    Comment from: homey [Visitor]

Hey Al, I did comment to Gigi about saving money.

Gigi – Other ways to save money:

Buy Costco chicken for meals. Only $4.99 for a whole roasted chicken. Stop eating at all those eateries with the hubby.

Switch all lightbulbs in the house to CFL. Look for sales on those bulbs and buy in bulk.

    Take cold showers.

Flush once. In fact, don’t even use the bathroom at home. Hold it until you go to a store.

Never buy napkins. You can get them free at all fast food restaurants.

    Get rid of pets.

Shop at garage sales for clothes.

Get rid of Roadrunner and use dial-up.

    Wash clothes by hand.

Don’t go to the movies or rent DVD’s. Just download them for free. (Warning, may be illegal and takes forever with dial-up)

    04/05/07 @ 13:53

Mark the date. homey has arrived–full-time! 😆

    Comment from: homey [Visitor]

Just back from my self imposed nap.

Al – I’m a closet comedian. If you met me in person you’d think I’m stuck up. I don’t really talk. Something like the Penn and Teller duo. I’m like Teller.

Stephen, you gotta start learning some computer/video skills.

This is NOT SPAM, all I am asking you to do is read this…PLEASE and pass it along. This is a TRUE UPDATE on the Gulf Coast BP Oil Spill!!

Have you ever heard of Whipple Van Ness Jones, III?

Probably not, unless you watch the CBS daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.

    You see, according to Wikipedia….

Whipple Jones III is a fictional character on CBS’s daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful. He had been portrayed by Rick Hearst from February 13, 2002 to August 29, 2002 and was absent for nearly seven years before returning to the show on July 17, 2009….

However, what they don’t tell you is that Whipple Van Ness Jones, III is a real person.

Whip resides in NW Florida with his wife, 3 children, and pets.

The problem is that when the BP oil spill happened Whip and his family lost their family business in Seaside, Florida the name of the store was Molly Caroline’s named after his two daughters Georgia Caroline and Molly Catherine (Whipple Van Ness Jones, IV wasn’t born yet when they opened their store).

Whip loved the idea that The Bold and the Beautiful named a character after him, he thought it was fun because obviously how else would they come up with the EXACT SAME NAME for the show.

Whip contacted the show early on (sent a copy of his birth certificate and drivers license), they didn’t offer any money (and Whip didn’t ask for any), just an autograph from the star portraying him.

The problem is NOT that Whip has a character on a show, the problem is Whip and his family lost their main source of income due to the BP oil spill.

Now when Whip applies for a job, and the employment places run a reference check on him and find a Wikipedia article calling Whip a fictional character on CBS’s daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful, they claim he is using the name of a soap opera character…

What Whip did was start his own dot com…. http://www.whipplejones.com …. and is allowing people to post blogs on his site for free, just to show that he is a real person.

Google does give Whip a TINY amount to have ads on the right hand side of his webpage.

Please pass this along to your friends to show that Whipple Van Ness Jones, III is not only a real person, but a man trying to keep food on his family’s table.

    Thank you!!

PS- Whip and his family did put in a claim with BP, they just haven’t heard anything yet. AS OF MARCH 24, 2011

PPS- Also, some people consider CBS to have BORDERLINE stolen Whip’s identity. Whip doesn’t see it this way, but how would you feel if you couldn’t get a job based on what Wikipedia says about you????

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

  270. jimmy choo shoes April 26, 2011 10:25 pm

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

I already have avast! 4 Home Edition installed, and would like to enhance my laptop’s security. And that’s why I would like to know what ZoneAlarm and Windows Defender will do, what else do they cover? What parts of my laptop do they protect and so on, for instance, internet security or the laptop itself? If you know what I mean. I’d just like to know because avast! is great, they are a very good anti-virus software, I’ve been using them for around a month or two, or more, and they have been brilliant. I’m just wondering because I’ve heard that ZoneAlarm and Windows Defender are two other great softwares that can enhance and improve someone’s laptop (or even computer). I’m very happy with avast! at the moment, they are doing a great job in protecting my laptop. But I wouldn’t mind knowing what else I can do with ZoneAlarm and Windows Defender. If there are other options too, other than ZoneAlarm and Windows Defender, please do let me know, as I would look into them more. So, please, let me know what ZoneAlarm and Windows Defender’s functions are, and what role they play. Thank you.
