Just read the posts on yesterday’s thread about Sophia Howling. So that’s who that girl was at yesterday’s and today’s matches and that must have been her father with Shoji.

The guys did a nice job of taking control of the match. UCLA on the road is going to be tough but they’ve beaten them once already so they can do it again.

I’m going to miss Siki and Kolby next year. I’m going to miss watching them play just like his I miss watching Taylor Averill now.

  23. warriorfan April 9, 2016 10:12 pm

Team played way better tonight, I still prefer Jennings settings because he just makes other teams outside hitters jobs harder with his block.

I think I saw Sophia Howling in the stands tonight with some of the wahine players.

  24. warriorfan April 9, 2016 10:13 pm

By the way Sophia looks taller than 6′ 1 to me.
I’m going to miss Siki a lot I hope he joins the coaching staff.
Siki needs to have a huge match against the bruins.

Safe to say the last scholarship will likely go to a setter. Unless Shoji doesn’t mind having Iosia and the back up so close. Then again, that’s been the normal since Carey and Vakasausau. Hawaii hasn’t been able to get that two-year gap like most schools do with their setters.

  26. rayson April 9, 2016 10:43 pm

    23) Yeah, Kalei Greeley must have host duty for this visit because it looks like she was showing Sophia around.

Also Sophia looked to be almost the same height as Kalei.

  27. warriorfan April 9, 2016 10:49 pm

Why would they recruit another setter?? They will have Iosia and Koelsch for 2017.
It would not surprise me if they save the scholarship for a transfer, they will need a replacement for Nikki.

  28. rabbit ears April 10, 2016 9:42 am

    Is Kendra Koelsch on scholarship?

  29. Ki April 10, 2016 11:51 am

    Kendra is on scholarship.

  30. Cindy Luis April 11, 2016 10:40 am

Howling is listed at 6-2 but was told she is closer to 6-3
Don’t see the scholarship going to a setter, they have other needs.

    new thread up for Monday
