Mahalo and Aloha for all the hardwork you’ve put in since coming to Hawaii. You so deserve this and any recognition you get for thie teams success. Go Wahine!

She really deserved it. People tend to forget about the libero, setters and defensive specialist.

Just a reminder Call the coach with Dave Shoji at 6pm tonight.

I probably won’t be able to listen in so if anyone would be kind enough to post a recap it would be much appreciated.

No shock to me. I thought that she did an amazing job this past weekend. I am happy to see that she is getting some recognition. It is well deserved. Game ball goes to Mita.

Agree with all. Awesome and well deserved recognition for Mita. She literally runs all over the court at times and is still able to create sets that are not only without spin, but sets that will fool the opponent.

When they announced the All-tournament team and Emily was announced as on the team, immediately thought the MVP would be either Mita or Longo. They were both fantastic. We preaty much agree that Mita is the best setter we have seen this year. I think the same could also be said of Longo. Adolpho also deserved to be all-tournament , she really stepped it up a notch and she remembered Roofer 68s name!

    10. agree. I remember Russ Rose being ‘shocked’ that we have voted Salima Davidson, his setter, the MVP of the HAL when they played at Blasidell. Think he said something like, “he didn’t know we knew that much about vb to vote like that.’ that is when I learned about (I hope) his sense of humor.
I voted her MVP. she did what Kamana’o did last weekend especially … she bettered the ball.

Not da gaffe on “.. … she bettered the ball.”, hah?!
    :p

    12. no idea what you mean about gaffe on. that’s the setting term. ‘bettered the ball” meaning it wasn’t a great pass, could have been sticky. when it came out on the set, it was a clean set. better than when she received it.

  15. roofer68 September 16, 2013 4:15 pm

Oh Ron now you’ve done it, I got to go into hibernation. I told the girls no “Uncles” please, before my name, just my first name. Emily remembered, lol.

Cindy, did you just call Uiato, Kamana’o when referring to last weekend? That is a great compliment and well deserved one. 🙂

  17. Ki September 16, 2013 8:17 pm

HCF…. No. I think Cindy was comparing Mita’s performance to Kanoe’s ability to “better the ball”

  18. Cindy Luis September 16, 2013 10:22 pm

    11. I was using the term ‘bettered the ball’ much as Kamana’o did. thought Uiato did that well this past tournament. which is why I voted her in the top spot. they don’t ask us about MOPs. They ask that we put our top choice on the first line and they add up points, much as the poll does.

Not only a well deserved honor for Mita but couldn’t happen to a more humble and team oriented individual. GO BOWS.
