Same lineup for UH. Ramos, Zarkovic, Sedore, Timmer (likely briefly) Cheape, Marks, Averill
Yay, they finally call a lift. UH up 5-1. it was so loose last night.
Hawaii up 15-14 at the TTO
UH gives up 2 straight points, serve gives UOP the lead at 16-15 but Marks with a kill ties it at 16
Sedore with a kill, gives UH the 22-20 lead. TO UOP
“joust at the net won by Pacific…joust at the night won by Pacific…” Come on guys, let’s win some of those…
“net” not “night”…
UOP has come back to lead 24-23 on a Tiger ace. UH was up 23-21. TO UH
Wow, Pacific finishes with a 4-0 run. Wins 25-23.
Talk about a choke job, and they gave away a bunch of points on silly mistakes, not sure why Ramos isn’t more assertive, every second ball should be his, he needs to command it.
UH is still very inconsistent…event against the last place team, they cannot hold on to leads…discouraging to say the least…
Olsen in. Ace gives UH the 3-0 lead.
UOP already outblocking UH 5-2
Set 1 Sedore 7-1-11, Averill 0-3-4, Marks 1-0-3, Zarkovic 4-1-10, Holt 1-0-2
UOP hit 139 to UH’s 257. both teams with 11 digs, UOP 5 blocks, UH 2
UH 1 ace, 5 SEs, UOP 3 aces, 2 SEs. That is a huge difference
I’d keep JP in, His hitting isn’t good but same for Olsen and JP’s serve and defense are valuable.
Agree. UOP up 12-11.
UOP leads 15-12 at the TTO. Do we really want to go 5 again?
UH has no energy tonight…
Behind the tough serves of Sedore, and a block, UH takes the 16-15 lead.
Holt with block, but all set up by 2 great digs by Cheape. UH up 21-18.
18. don’t know about the energy It’s just different chemistry with the different lineup. UOP back to within 21-20. TO UH.
Starting to choke…
or a another bad rotation. Give some credit to UOP
Zarkovic with his 10th. UH up 22-21.
Houlihan with the lift, good call IMHO puts UH up 23-21. But UOP with a kill makes it 23-22. Deja vu?
Edwards, whose net serve ended last night’s match. Serves long. UH up 24=22. Timmer Servies long 24-23. TO UH
Hughes into the net with the serve. UH wins 25-23.
Give a lot of credit to UOP…They’re making UH look pretty bad…
Sedore 8-4-15, Averill 3-3-8, Marks 1-0-3, Zarkovic 10-2-23, Olsen 2-1-5, Hot 2-2-6
UH at 206 for the match, HO 129
UH 2 aces, 10 SEs. UOP 3 aces, 5 SEs. Uop 21 digs, Uh 20. UOP 8. 5 blocks, UH 6.
West in at MB. Olsen with another SE. Sedore with a kill, UH trails 3-2
nice to see the connection with Averill starting to work well. UH ties it at 5
Kanetake in at L. UH up 6-5
Really impressed with how Cheape has played, is getting under his hitters well to cover.
looked like the the ball was in on that block. key is to let it go. Warriors do, get the next point, up 9-7.
Warriors up 15-13 at the TTO.
Gotta think that UH would be doing a lot better if they didn’t have 13 SE…
2 straight blocks, UH up 17-13
West with a solo, he’s been in on the last 3 blocks. UH up 18-13. TO UOP
Three blocks in a row…UH now leads in blocks…impressive!
UOP has crept back to within 21-18. TO UH.
I know people aren’t high on Ramos but I think he’s done some nice work on getting his hitters some 1-on-1s. Also impressed with Averill, who seems to have settled in at MB, but has nice hands and is a good choice as the second option at setter. UH up 22-19.
UH wins 25-20
Not to Bachi it like I did last night but I don’t think it goes 5.
UH hitting 247, UOp 125.
Sedore 16-6-31, Averill 6-3-13, Marks 1-0-3, Zarlpvoc 14=5=31. P;sem 4=2=1-. Jp;t 2==26.
Olsen 8 digs, Cheap 6.
Ace by Averill akes it 5-2 in Set 4.
Sedore hits long, Uop up 11-10. UH still taking better swings, better in system. but Sedore hits the antenna UOP up 12-10.
Setting Sedore too much…
Marks needs to come back in…
UOP up 15-12 at the TTO.
Zarkovic with the kill ties it at 16.
Zarkovic with the kill makes it 17-16. TO UOP
Ace by sedore makes it 20-17. TO UOP
UH finishes it out 25-20
