U.S. tops Japan in 5 in USA VB Cup finale

sorry to be MIA for the past 2 weeks. Had surgery and been recouping.

anyway, Tama Miyashiro (Kalani/UW) was the starting libero Saturday night as Team USA defeated Japan 25-15, 25-19, 21-25, 23-25, 15-10 at Serra High School in San Juan Capistrano.

sadly the gym only held 2,000 and it was a sellout.

Top-ranked Team USA is now 8-0 under Karch Kiraly.

Missed you, but glad you’re back. Take care of yourself. High School Gym for international game, how embarassing. Sold out good, but I think SSC would have been, too, with tv statewide, which could have been beamed to US mainland and Japan, too. Just saying. Team USA!

thanks for the link. Tama played well.
Thought it odd they had the match at a high school gym.
Good news is something is in the works for USA Men to play at the SSC, likely against Japan, as soon as next year.
    Officially back at work today
