Those losses by Long Beach are embarrassing( the air force one especially)
The wahine again, won’t be helped by it’s league opponents in rpi, ugh.

Regardless of the result with USC, I think USD deserves a top 10 ranking. Impressive road wins.

  4. Maverick September 7, 2013 2:55 pm

    2. Agreed. Big West not looking strong.

  5. Warriorfan September 7, 2013 2:59 pm

    3. Definitely, I hope they keep taking care of business because they have a history( like the wahine) of getting duped by the NCAA committee.

At least the San Diego loss is not a bad loss unlike the loss to Cal last year.
It’s still very disappointing though, they should have won that match. If they didn’t blow that big lead in set 2, I think they win 3-0 or 3-1

    6. Agreed that losing set 2 changed the match. If UH won, we would be talking more seriously about a top 5 ranking. What’s done is done so we can only focus on remaining matches. And while I am happy that Shoji has his record, I am much happier that the distraction of the record has passed.

    6. at the time no one knew how bad Cal would be but agree it ended up being a bad loss
and do believe is Hawaii had just taken care of business in Set 2, it probably would have only gone 3.

  9. Warriorfan September 7, 2013 3:31 pm

Set two against USD I felt the team was just going through the motions. Winning set 1 so easily probably hurt them.

  10. Cindy Luis September 7, 2013 3:41 pm

    9. Also thought USD started to make some good adjustments. that said, UH had the momentum, a lead, a let it get away.

  11. jmy September 7, 2013 3:53 pm

Had the momentum in the 4th as well, but let SD get too close…

  12. Warriorfan September 7, 2013 4:00 pm

Yea this loss still stings a week later , but I’d rather they beat Texas and Lose to USD , then beat USD and lose to texas.
At least they got that giant rpi boost of a win over Texas who beat PSU.

By the way future opponent Creightton is down to Cal 2-0, hope they can come back and win that one.

Re: 3 Nebraska (4-1) or less likely San Diego (4-1) will crack the Top 10 in Monday’s Poll — at the expense of the loser of tonight’s Hawai’i vs UCLA

  14. Warriorfan September 7, 2013 4:12 pm

Nebraska has no business being in the top 10.

  15. Warriorfan September 7, 2013 4:32 pm

Creighton got destroyed by Cal, I guess either Creighton is over rated or Cal under rated.

  16. jmy September 7, 2013 5:22 pm

Beach lost to Miami in five…

  17. Cindy Luis September 7, 2013 5:43 pm
