Thursday checkin: sand tourney postponed
Sand tournament postponed until Nov. 2
They made that decision after this morning’s practice.
They are still going to Molokai at the moment. Shoji will not. He has left for the mainland for recruiting. Wong had stayed behind after Long Beach match to do the same, he got back Tuesday.
Magill not cleared to play. She was wearing a knee sleeve today. Waiting on doctor’s diagnosis.

Dave out looking for more Liberos ? 🙂
Repeating: Smith is more of a sand recruit. She is not an indoor scholarship player in 2016.
2. And, not on sand scholarship if she is also playing indoor.
I’m finally starting to appreciate LC’s humor. 😉
I would go but the scrimmage is at 6:30 last flight out 7:05 which means an overnight stay on Molokai, that killed my plan for a one day trip.
4. glad someone does. Not amused by the emoticons. 🙂
5. thought you lived on Maui? where’s the super ferry when we need it
Who lives on Maui ?
Juju Cannon says in her bio that she would to come to Hawai`i .
Coo Coo Mufi gonna bring back the Superferry.
Now that Emma Smiths name has surfaced, I was browsing the mizuno long beach club site and noticed former UH volunteer coach Kaleo Baxter will be coaching the 17-1 team this season. Ironically if Emma is to return and play in her age group, she should be on his team. This is a good situation since while at Hawaii didn’t Baxter help with defense and passing?? Cindy, can you confirm this with Dave or perhaps Baxter?
Shoji can’t confirm. I can check with Baxter but since club doesn’t start for a while, that decision might not be made yet. She’s still 2 years out.
thought you did LC.
1. how bout dave looking for more liberos that are dual outsider hitters 😀
Praying Magill injury not too serious..Love her overall demeanor…very even keeled but like when she gets excited after she makes a great play. She is a big block and the most effective on the team due to her leaping and hang time ability… (“Hang time Magill”)Get well Olivia!!!
Hopefully Magill’s mere muscle strain stays warm in the sleeve while playing at Hitter-1 also.
It doesn’t appear serious. She doesn’t seem to be in pain. Think they’re just being cautious and not putting any stress when it’s not needed.
