SC sweeps CSUN, Warriors still alive
At SC
Trojans top the Matadors 25-23, 25-20, 25-19
stranger things have happened.
CSUN on the road at UC Irvine Wednesday, Long Beach Saturday
If CSUN wins Wednesday, doesn’t matter what Hawaii does in its two matches at UCSD.

UH still alive…USC sweeps…
Hard to say, but I think UH has a better chance of beating UCSD twice than CSUN has of beating UCI & LBSU…but, as you have said, stranger things have happened…
If northridge loses wednesday and I think they will UH BETTER play motivated Friday and beat UCSD. They are being given a chance.
A lot of pressure on both teams for sure…
I know that it would be an EXTREMELY daring/gutsy move (esp. so late into the season, yet..) I’d go with my lineup for ‘starters’:
Pos.1(rb) 6.0, Ramos
Pos.2(rf) 6.7, Averill *for ONLY that 1st rotation; replaced by OH1: 6.4, Siki immediately for passing duties*
Pos.3(mf) 6.8, West
Pos.4(lf) 6.6, Marks
Pos.5(lb) Lib2: 5.8, Kanetake; replaced by 6.7, Olsen
Pos.6(mb) 5.10, Cheape; replaced by 6.9, Holt
The Canadian has been “fading”.
5. No one ever knows what the heck you are saying.
Not that it really matters, but UCLA swept BYU at Pauley…You have to believe that BYU is in the final four no matter what, though…
7. it does matter to the teams fighting for that last top-4 spot to host. UCLA put itself in a good position to do so with the win
*UCLA (h) def. BYU, 25-23, 25-19, 25-20
*UC IRVINE (h) def. Pacific, 25-20, 25-16, 25-18
Stanford def. UC SAN DIEGO (h), 25-20, 27-25, 26-24)
*Long Beach State def. PEPPERDINE (h) 20-25, 21-25, 25-14, 25-22, 15-11)
8. For sure…I just meant that BYU is probably in the final four no matter what…The win does have implications for the other teams…
This is going to be a very interesting finish. The Warriors do have a real possible shot now that they are going against arguably the weakest team in the conference, and CSUN is going against 2 of the (Top 3) strong teams in the MPSF. But it really will be up to them, whether they can man up and mature themselves to sweep a sweepable road trip. They can do it, both on paper and physically, but you never know….
To add, even though stranger things have happened, should Hawaii sweep UCSD, I strongly believe that it will be enough, to make the Tournament. To win at the Pyramid and at UCI will be just too crazy difficult. Possible, but….. going with the odds, unlikely.
That said, Go Warriors! Just focus hard on UCSD!
