Guess UH sand girls lost to USC. playing nebraska now.

the USC stream seems to have died unfortunately, UH is up 2-0 on nebraska.

It’s back just in time and Jane and her partner Bell are really really struggling.

  4. warriorfan March 22, 2013 8:44 am

By the way Kastl looked realy good . I think she has a future in beach volleyball.

  5. vballfreak808 March 22, 2013 8:54 am

I am kind of confused when Jane is about to block but she backs away at the last second. Her opponents always see her doing that so they aim for her and she is never able to get it.

*Edit: The last two times I saw her block she netted so now I see why she isn’t blocking.

Kelsey Robinson/Alexa Strange take Set 1 over Jane Croson/Natasha Bell (21-13)

    Kadie Rolfzen/Morgan Broekhuis defeats Katie Spieler/Ginger Long (21-15, 21-14)

  8. warriorfan March 22, 2013 9:13 am

Long/Spieler lost, they always kept it close early then just ran out of momentum because they are a little short and don’t have the firepower the husker duo did.

  9. warriorfan March 22, 2013 9:15 am

Longo/Riggs just won it for UH.

  10. warriorfan March 22, 2013 9:16 am

Jane looked a little erratic today.

    Hawaii wins 3-2??

  12. warriorfan March 22, 2013 9:26 am

Yup UH wins, Kastl/Olevao and Zalopany/Urban won before.

Just a random thought…and well after the exhibition game, I’ve been busy elsewhere. So I’m not sure if the same sentiments were already posted. I think it was apparent in the exhibition that, although not a fan of, Ginger Long should have been tried at OH before burning/wasting Tai Manu-Olevao’s redshirt season. She definitely showed enough firepower to contribute which would have been enough against the teams Hawaii faced during Jane’s suspension. No sense crying over spilled milk, but that was something that was pretty evident by watching the exhibition match. Manu-Olevao still looks very raw and was a liability in the backrow.

Getting Tai game experience and being ready for the start of next season might be huge actually, I was impressed with her on the beach, her defense and shot selection was pretty good. UH will need her ready against Texas.

By the way I am really impressed by Olivia Urban, she’s a good blocker, is she a walk on for UH sand? Cause if she walks on for UH indoor I think she could help.

Saw Hannah Rooks at the Wahine spring exhibition game with TT and she is all of 6’2″ and maybe taller. On video she shows a nice setting touch and a pretty good arm swing from the left. By next year the sand team will look to be pretty deep.

TW, don’t know if she’s a walk-on. Kind of doubt it. They do have 4 scholarships for sand.
