Was hoping for the big upset but Penn State prevailed over Minnesota in five sets. Too bad.
PSU lost its first sets of the year.
Long Beach St. vs. UC Irvine currently showing on ESPN3. They are tied at one set apiece and the score is 18-16 LBSU in the close third set. Honestly, neither team looks particularly impressive.
This is good news. Penn St shows it is vulnerable, especially since the Gophers were visiting the Nittany Lions on their home court.

5. You’re right. It’s 6:40 PM and still no pre-game show. Here I was so eagerly looking forward to watch my alma mater play Hawaii and no showing. Something must have gone wrong with the broadcast booth. I’ll hate to also miss the match altogether as no one would be able to upload it to YouTube. OC Sports owes us a free online broadcast whenever. Better late than never.
And I’m a little disappointed because I’m actually a subscriber – I’m just not at home during the games!

I’m so glad the live streaming came back on to watch the sisterhood segment. It was so gratifying to see the identical twins, Lisa and Kelly speak. I remembered seeing Kelly play when I was a Cal Poly student. Too bad I’m so far away on the Big Island, couldn’t come to the match itself. I would have loved to say hello to both sisters.
