Penn State sweeps Stanford. Cardinal really needed Ijanaku but she is out this season. Lutz hit negative. Burgess hit negative. Penn State can pass.

PSU’s middles ( the one tara hittle coached in particular) are deadly on the slide.
I was hoping their setting would struggle without micha hancock but not to be.

    Some comments on today’s results:
    1. Oregon was up 2-0 on Nebraska and proceeded to lose the next three. A big missed opportunity for the Ducks.
    2. Kentucky loses twice today (both 3-0 sweeps) and will play Illinois and Wichita State next weekend. Likely overrated.
    3. North Carolina has now lost to USC, BYU, Wisconsin and Minnesota. A good slate of opponents but you have to actually beat the good teams to be considered a good team. I don’t think UNC should be ranked on Monday, but the pollsters love Power 5 teams.
    4. Big West is currently 26-24 with four matches to play tonight. At least the conference has a positive winning record.

    3. feeling was that UNC overrated after the first weekend. but they weren’t going to drop them from 7 to out of the poll. at 1-4 think they’re out next week.

    Iowa leading UCLA first set.

  6. Cindy Luis September 5, 2015 4:55 pm

UCLA wins 25-20. was 24-17. Iowa had a number of unforced errors, even let UCLA libero free ball it over for a kill.

  7. Kazu September 5, 2015 5:08 pm

6 Thanks. Stats on UH website kinda messed up.

  8. Cindy Luis September 5, 2015 5:19 pm

    Bruins win 25-16

    6. yes they are.

  9. wildcard September 5, 2015 5:21 pm

mostly iowa injuring self. not really a lot of kills for ucla.

  10. jmy September 5, 2015 5:22 pm

I feel that Texas is overrated…easy opening weekend, split two tough matches this weekend, probably won’t be challenged too much in conference play…we’ll see, though…

  11. wildcard September 5, 2015 5:47 pm

    as expected ucla dominates iowa

  12. wildcard September 5, 2015 5:48 pm

no cackalacky is a weakling when it comes to vb. thats no surprise.

  13. islandman September 5, 2015 5:59 pm

Looks like UCLA is going to give Wahine a tough time.

  14. kimo browner September 5, 2015 6:04 pm

    Bruins are under rated.

  15. Warriorfan September 5, 2015 6:07 pm

As suspected Iowa isn’t very good and UH just made way too many errors and played bad to keep it close.

  16. Warriorfan September 5, 2015 6:30 pm

Watching LMU the team that swept UCLA down 1-2 to Northern Arizona and they do not look good.

  17. kimo browner September 5, 2015 6:32 pm

    bruins hit .305. UCLA dominated.

  18. wildcard September 5, 2015 6:33 pm

so wahine need to sweep out american tonight to show some parry with ucla tomorrow.

  19. Cindy Luis September 5, 2015 6:34 pm

UCLA wins 25-13. Two really bad calls swung Game 3 early. Iowa hit off the UCLA block it bounced out of bounds. linesman called no touch when it clearly went in the other directors. Keala called for a net violation when she was close to the 3-meter line. It wouldn’t have changed the outcome but it might have kept Set 3 closer earlier.
Pretty ugly match all the way around. Set 1 Iowa hit 026, UCLA 103.

  20. islandman September 5, 2015 6:38 pm

Wichita St not that good either, apparently, looking at results posted by someone earlier.
