SandBows drop to No. 2, SC edges Pepperdine
No surprise on this.
1. USC. 2. Hawaii. 3. Pepperdine.

Not a lot of movement. Florida State and The Beach stay at 4-5.
Florida International moves up a spot to 6 and previously unranked Georgia State (12-1) jumps to 7.
SandBows leave today (Tuesday) for northern California. At UOP Thursday, at Santa Cruz Invitational Saturday-Sunday. Hall said it will be a different type of tournament.
You will have duals within bracket play so how the dual match goes will determine if you move up in the winners bracket or drop into losers.
Interesting concept. Also competing are Santa Clara, USF, Cal, Cal Poly and CSU Bakersfield.

Hi Cindy,
I think my question wasn’t clear. It wasn’t about changing partners. It was about changing where the partnerships play. Specifically, does playing Spieler/Urban give Hawaii a better chance at getting the point at #1 (and also the point at #2)?
So really your response of , “if you read the post above yours, it answers your question.” really doesn’t answer my question.
And as for “sandbagging”, isn’t the rule you can’t move more than one position up or down, from one dual to the next? If that is the case, there will be situations where moving the teams around can be beneficial to winning the overall dual.
Per her twitter, Lexi sun has committed to texas
2. Good catch for Texas. Wonder what happened to the Cal schools thought for sure she would end up in Pac 12.
Lexi to Texas should not be a surprise. Texas is a very attractive school located in a booming state. After visiting the UT campus and looking at the future, it could be a smart move. I know cause all my relative have relocated there..LOL
I refuse to go cause of my love for Hawaii, the beaches, the food and the people. California with its high taxes and large influx of immigrant is going to change in a few years and Texas with no state tax could be somewhere many may want to move.
1. thank you for the clarification.
but I think it also applies to who plays where. They aren’t going to move Spieler-Urban up to 1 so that pretty much says that 1-2-3 stay where they currently are.
Yes, the rule is that you can’t move up or down more than one place from one dual to the next which prevents sandbagging. But I believe coaches don’t know what the lineup is for the opponent until after both turn in their lineup sheets.
Pepperdine coach said there was something new this year that makes it harder to move up or down but I haven’t been able to find it.
SC wins at home over Pepperdine 3-2. Clinching match was at No. 3
