On vacation and traveling
Will be leaving for San Diego today then up to Washington state.
I will have sporadic internet access.
Will be at the National Training Center Thursday in Anaheim to check in with the women’s national team, assistant Reed Sunahara and libero Tama Miyashiro. Very much looking forward to it.

Don’t you have a cell phone with a hotspot? I have one and it works great with my laptop.
I also use my cell phone browser to post on the internet.
She’s on VACATION. Have a good time Cindy and safe travels.
We’ll meet on Sat. 1st at the Port Townsend Farmer’s Market, in the quaint Victorian Seaport Town for starters.
..head to the market for some wine and chesse,
We’ll be finishing the evening off (with family and friends) at the Olympic Music Festival for the 30th season of “Concerts in the Barn”.
We COULD talk some about VB, the way some of the “Luis-ians” (Volley Shots groupies/followers here) would want but I say nah, forget about it.
Too bad peoples hadn’t decided to leave the islands this weekend as Cindy procured.
😉
Bon Voyage and safe travels on the continent! Hope you get good stories from Reed and Tama. Hope Mama is in good spirits and healthy, too. Enjoy your vacation time and hope weather and summer are just right for you! Go Wahine!
South Dakota finally changed their schedule page to show that they will be playing Hawaii on Thursday, the 19th. But now they have the match starting at 7:30, while Hawaii’s schedule page has the match starting at 8:00. *sigh*
1. LC i don’t have a hotspot. but trying to check in when I can.
3. Saturday is the 3rd. but may check out the Fermer’s Market with mom. she is beginning to get out more, having recovered from her broken hip.
Sequim is very quaint and have enjoyed my 3 previous visits.
5. I’m sure they’ll figure out the correct time at some point.
Since you’re ‘out there’, the most spectacular of all–‘R’egardless,–you’ll want to take it up to The Olympic National Park/Hurricane Ridge.
Brother, grandkids, mom, daughter-in-law we’ll each be doing it together.
Did we still want to meet at the Port Angeles Nat’l Park Visitor Center, first, OR do you want to just drive up to the Ridge and plan on meeting up at the top, Cin? 😉
..’L’ove…we ALL need Them!
—
Btw, ‘Turfwar’, there are in fact TWO Luis’ which are employed by our S-Advertiser anymore, eh?!
‘Cause “word games” are fun, yes, but I’m not that into them (to be honest).
Some people do find pleasure in them; they attempt to spank da kitty like that one ‘Purple&Green’ had.
🙂
thanks for the invite. Hadn’t planned on meeting you, though. will be spending time with my mom and other relatives.
Are there two Luises at the S-A? Ferd Lewis spells his name differently but his family changed the spelling from Luis when they came from Portugal. Mine kept it Luis.
If you are referring to my son, he is a sports clerk but his last name is Wells.
South Dakota changed their schedule back to showing them playing Hawaii on Saturday 9/21 at 10. However, Wichita State has now posted their full schedule and they have Hawaii-South Dakota playing on 9/19 at 8pm, following Missouri State-Wichita State, which play at 6.
So is Lea Felton committed to the wahine or HPU?
HPU.
Wichita St, Creighton and UH have the same schedule, don’t know what’s up with South Dakota’s SID. I think you meant Creighton vice Missouri St.
I would say go with what WSU says because it is their tournament. Also the dates and times jive with what UH has. The folks in SD are still using smoke signals to communicate with the rest of the world.
13. I’ll ask Shoji’s wife Mary about the smoke signals, she’s from So Dakota. :>)
I believe she’s from North Dakota.
You’re correct. South Dakota probably relays the smoke signals from North to Kansas.
#10 Lea’s coach told diggin na wahine that she committed to HPU which is what I felt was correct all along because we already had Emily Maglio who is also a 2014 MB as Lea is.
It actually wouldn’t surprise me if we learned that Dave is pau with 2014 recruiting with four already committed to the Wahine.
I believe Shoji is looking for another terminator. We lose 3 to graduation and gain only Greeley for 2014. It never hurts to have another girl who can put the ball down and he has scholarships available. Just my take on the team needs for 2014 season.
Hadn’t T. Crawford, you Cin, and Huh.’A’loha already penciled those dates in your day timers? ..for this 2013 summer, even??
That TRULY kalohe keiki, man, ‘A’loha..he so da kine.
It was my understanding that again, per Huh, Cindy had committed to Poulsbo, WA with them. 😉 ..dat stroll along the waterfront park reminiscing, boy, try look.
Ono you know the Multigrain–Smelt–Ezekiel type bread you can only get in Poulsbo/Whole Foods/Safeway la dat.
*Put apple butter on some toast to ‘broke da mouth’!!
11. thanks for getting to the questions. Felton to HPU. Shoji’s wife Mary from Fargo, ND.
think we’re looking at the new Trader Joe’s in Silverdale. Have you ever had their Cookie Butter? No that is ono. thanks for the tip about Poulsbo. Mom not up for that long of drive but we likely will hit the casino.
“casino”.Cindy is DEFINITELY Hawaiian.Love TJ’s but no to Cookie Butter.
Viejas is a familiar one; twice myself.
If you haven’t seen 2014 recruit Kalei Greeley in action, I stumbled upon this video of the CIF Southern Section Division 2AA Championship Match where she had 29k and 23 digs.

But here’s the thing PO’OKELA–the one who won’t open his blog up for commenting due to VERY personal reasons, people know.
..the same dude who’s completely enamored with all types of Social Media: FB, a couple of twitter accounts, blog’S’ on VB/living experiences the while waking to early mornings sipping European java/espresso, cranking fringe/obscure itunes bands (providing inspiration)..in the “man cave” overlooking the affairs of man.
The article–near end–lists your “I came away with the feeling” as Miller’s “On the right…”
The L2 will end up being the best passer on the team, sans Longo, out of Olevao/Long/whomever else *for this 2013 certainly*.
Of the reserves in Seattle @ UW (Dec. 2012), Olevao had the best ball-handling skills when taking to the floor at any given moment (intermissions or otherwise).
I don’t waste my time on blogs and making fake social media accounts to gather information
Looks like you had a great time at the National Training Center. Nice to read about Reid and Tama.
Gee.
At the very least I’d hope that Cindy did nearby Lake Crescent.

..Trails (wheelchair accessible)/ kayaks/ Marymere Falls
25. I did. wish i could have put more in about the facility. Had a great talk with former Illinois/Minnesota coach Mike Hebert who is helping out as well.
26. thank you for all the tips about things to do. Everything hinged on mom.
we haven’t done much. We did make it out to the Railroad Bridge and surprised mom on her waker up to the bridge to look at the salmon spawning.
And we had a nice surprise birthday party for her Sunday. quite the sugar rush.
It’s going to be a beautiful day in Sequim. reminds me of growing up in the Point Loma area of San Diego where we have the marine layer that slowly burns off in the mornings.
Still a little fog left on the Straits of Juan de Fuca but that should be gone in an hour.
Leaving for Hawaii Tuesday.
Looking forward to the start of Wahine practice Saturday.
I was thinking today about the SA’s annual preview magazine and what the theme might be ?
Hawaii picked first in the Big West
