It was short, about 4 minutes, but a nice piece. And by Kelly Tennant no less, who says she loves watching Haaii volleyball. Really?
Anyway, they didn’t really get into her history of wanting to come here, her love since her family vacationed her, her posters of Wahine volleyball on her bedroom walls since age 10. And no mention of her Tiki collection, which apparently is quite huge. Nor of her grandfather being here during Pearl Harbor.
but nice to see the program get some recognition.

Been trying to watch the Warriors Men’s Basketball on Prime Ticket, but got nothing but blank screens. Hope they replay the story on Emily Hartong on the Wahine BB match tonight. Anyways, good to see Hartong get some national exposure

It was short, but they also had Longo, and Uiato. I think their going to have more on the fans and coaching staff down the line sometime. Cindy, love this format.

Shoji said he may move Hartong next year?? I am guessing he means to the right IF Nikki Taylor comes in and impresses on the left, or Kastl really improves.

I think I spotted Nikki Taylor at the match and she looked to be taller than 6’3” and very sturdy. She might contribute next year.

I think dave was only joking. He said he might move her to her third or fourth position but hasn’t told her that yet.

WF wants a new setter in for Ramos but Ramos brings more agility, speed, and accuracy to the setting position (esp to the outsides).

Ramos grew up in Hawai’i; he knows what it takes to bring it all to the SSC for the rabid VB fans. His credentials to the table aren’t too shabby either. Blocking lags, yes; digging is more of a forte.

    Cindy,
What positional seat did you paddle when you were a part of your old crew?

Nice focus on Emily’s hardwork, Hawaii volleyball atmosphere, her domination of league, all American recognition and future goal after graduation. Spoke with Emily, Dave, Ali and Mita. Many practice and game clips. No mention of National team aspirations or Olympics. Cuts of Stan Sheriff crowds and some Oahu spots. Yes, Tennant was rather complimentary. Ran at halftime and also between games on Fox Sports. A fitting, if rather unexpected compliment to Wahine standout. Go Wahine!

My wife and I are just glad she’s returning. We intend to savor every minute she’s on (or off) the floor.

Yes, she was here Friday. Her brother Josh is No. 14 on Pepperdine.

When I paddled competitively I mostly stroked (No. 1). Recreationally I steer (No. 6) and when I’m not steering, usually No. 3 or 4.

Nice piece. They interviewed Emily, Dave, Ali & Mita. Bonus to UH men BB beating UCSB.
