Very interesting tidbit on KHON2 sports when she said the team is better without Jane C. Now the Wahine have to go out and prove it

    LET’S GO WAHINE!!!!

Got to watch Leahey & Leahey, and i got the impression that there was some friction on the team when Jane was there.

#2. That impression has been there since Croson’s suspension. The words were always “we’re a better team now”, “there is less drama”, “the chemistry is better”. All hints toward a negative attitude that Jane Croson MAY have brought to the team.

Much success to Jane in the future, but this Wahine team is going to be good without her. We all need to move on (as has Croson) and focus on the 20 or so girls on this years team.

Cindy, forgot about your paddling, in the morning, for reason you do not attend morning practice. At least we will be getting a daily update on how practice is going from you, since the majority of Shoji’s practices are closed. Nothing against Ann, but she tends to write only about 2 articles a week on how things are going at practice, about Wahine players.

Saw the L & L show, Emily looks very impressive, speaks really well. You can tell by her presents that she is the Leader of this year’s team. Seems like team chemistry, went downhill after Croson’s suspension, and there was more drama, also. My question would be, what happened to Croson between her freshman and sophomore year. There was no problems with her and the team, her freshman year. But with the influx of transfers, her sophomore year, something happened. Did players get swayed by the transfers?

There was drama during “her” Freshman year. It was manageable drama though. Things just blew up last year as the drama escalated. Glad the team has been able to move forward and concentrate on the task at hand (playing Wahine volleyball) instead worrying about unnecessary off-court drama.

Croson who? Let’s move on, who cares about the details of Croson’s falling out from the team, transfers or getting swayed. It’s all under the bridge in the deep blue, I’m concentrating on this years 19 or so players who feel privileged and grateful to be playing for the state of Hawaii, the university, coach Shoji, assistant coaches and fans.

Emily is the ultimate example of an ideal student/athlete that a coach wants in their program. 100% effort in her classes and on the court. The Leahey program was well presented, but being time restricted could only cover so much. The one topic that wasn’t talked about was Emily’s status and thoughts about her chances of being a part of the 2016 Olympic team. I know Karch Kiraly (sp?) has her on his radar. Any thoughts on that?

Didn’t get to say welcome back yet so welcome back Cindy!

Just wondering but is the team taking pictures and getting gear today like other teams?

    4. DF, that I’m not going to morning practice has nothing to do with paddling. it has to do with how things are set up and what i’m working on while Ann is there in the morning. I still have the recreation page on Fridays, which starts the 16th, and the DII college page that runs Tuesday, starting the 20th.
There will be blog reports however.
Don’t think there will be a daily story. There never has been, even when I was the beat writer. We both are working on the preview that comes out right before the season and we are planning a special section for when Shoji passes Banachowski in wins.
