Congrats to Sedore, MPSF player of the week
University of Hawaii sophomore opposite Brook Sedore was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Molten Player of the Week Mondayfollowing his monster weekend in the team’s two-match sweep of UC San Diego.
Sedore (Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada) accumulated 50 kills (5.56 K/S) with a .400 hitting attack (50-16-85), 13 digs (1.44 D/S), nine blocks (1.00 B/S), and two aces through the weekend in propelling the Warriors to a MPSF Tournament berth. He slammed 31 kills (.489) the second night, third most for a match in the conference this year and totaled 58 series points (6.44 P/S).
Sedore is the third Warrior to earn the conference’s weekly award this season after freshman Sinisa “Siki” Zarkovic was a two-time winner. He ranks second on the team with a 2.93 kills per set average and since moving to the opposite position full-time, he has a team-best 3.64 average.
The Warriors will open the MPSF Tournament with a quarterfinal round match-up against top-seeded BYU, Saturday in Provo, Utah.
Very well deserved he had a hell of a week.
Congrats, Brook !!
Congrats to Brook! I was worried the award would go to the Cal Baptist guy (Levi Cabral) cause the same night Brook got 31 kills, he got 34.
Brook carried the team….well deserved!
In one of my previous blogs I said I nominate him MPSF player of the week. I agree with FeedTheMiddles, Brook got the award as he carried the team and made the huge difference.
