  1. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 7:19 pm

UH has pulled away ago a 14-12 lead in Set 1, the last point on a solo block by Averill on Sander flying out of the back row that came back and hit Sander in the face.
McGown didn’t wait for the media TO. called it early

  3. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 7:26 pm

McGown not happy. almost threw a clipboard. BYU with two overpasses off Zarkovic’s serves that UH have slammed back. UH up 20-17. TO BYU

  4. Don April 5, 2014 7:28 pm

I wonder if Burt would’ve carded him for tossing the clipboard…he didn’t get carded for arguing a line call last night…

  5. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 7:32 pm

I think if he had throw it it would have been warranted.
BYU has rallied to tie at 21, run started by another UH serving error. Zarkovic from the 3-meter it’s 22-21

  6. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 7:32 pm

  11. WhyWhat April 5, 2014 7:39 pm

    Radio is annoying!

  12. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 7:40 pm

Dobbert blocked. Looked like Zarkovic had an ace. it was close. Sander serving at 29-28. Sedore off of Reyes. it’s 29-all

  13. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 7:43 pm

What a great play by Ramos. ball heading to the antenna. he redirects it on 2. UH up 32-21. another service error and it’s 32 all

  14. Brandon April 5, 2014 7:45 pm

    This first set is intense!

  15. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 7:46 pm

Zarkovic hits the antenna although it looked like it was the ball hitting the net that made the antenna move. 34-all. sides outs make it 35 all

  16. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 7:47 pm

West ends the marathon 37-35. Longest Set since rally score capped at 25.

  17. Brandon April 5, 2014 7:48 pm

Hawaii wins the first set 37-35! Amazing first set

To compare last night with tonight … Set 1 tonight lasted almost as long as the first two sets last night.
    McGown calls TO at 6-3.

  21. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 7:59 pm

Middles connecting really well with Ramos tonight. Olsen on the 3-meter. it’s 9-4

  22. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:00 pm

Olsen should have let Ramos take the ball. tried a back set. it was ugly.

  23. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:05 pm

UH up 15-12 at the TTO

  24. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:09 pm

BYU with a block, BYU within 20-15

  28. Brandon April 5, 2014 8:15 pm

That serve was way in. Horrible call.

  29. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:15 pm

Really bad call by linesman. It was definitely an ace by Ramos, BYU with another point and the swing has it 21-17. Should have been 22-15

  30. FormerlyWarriorfan April 5, 2014 8:16 pm

Why wouldnt the up ref over rule that, ridiculous! That should have been an ace!!

  31. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:17 pm

Another great dig by Kanetake. Zarkovic puts it away. it’s 22-18

  32. Brandon April 5, 2014 8:17 pm

Siki is on fire tonight! Having a way better night than last night.

  33. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:18 pm

wow, Zarkovic with a short serve. swear you could hear it bounce but they played on. BYU hits wide. 23-18. BYU with a kill. 23-19

  34. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:19 pm

Zarkovic on the 3-meter. it’s 24-20. Timmer to serve

  35. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:20 pm

Near ace, BYU barely able to play it Dobbert hits into the net. 25-20

  36. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:26 pm

Kind of reminds me of 2010, the tsunami warning year when the match got moved to Monday from Saturday on Maui. BYU looked bad that second day.

  37. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:27 pm

anyway, extended half-time giving plaques to seniors in the ‘Olympic’ sports basically non-revenue
That first Set, BTW, went 41 minutes.

  38. Brandon April 5, 2014 8:30 pm

Ucla beat long beach. So hawaii most likely will have to beat Pepperdine once to make it. Or am I wrong?

  39. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:30 pm

some stats. UH hit .433 in Set 2, BYU .276.
UH with 1 aces, 1 SE. BYU 0 aces, 1 SE
BYU with 3.5-2 edge in blocks. UH with 11-6 edge in digs.
    totals: Ramos 2-0-2, West 7-1-9, Sedore 8-5-19, Averill 4-1-5, Zarkovic 13-5-27Olsen 8-1-16

  40. Brandon April 5, 2014 8:31 pm

And that’s assuming they win today of course. Come on warriors. You guys can do it

  41. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:32 pm

BYU going with Sutton and new opposite Underwood, he played briefly last night 0-1-1

  42. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:32 pm

Major net by BYU. no call.

  43. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:34 pm

    38. all scores on another thread. Averill with the solo stuff. it’s 5-2

  44. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:37 pm

    38. still a lot up in the air. UCLA still has to play BYU next week.
plus USC is done at 14-10. tiebreaker only comes into play if 2 teams are tied. if it’s three, there’s another formula. For sure. UH would have been in better position if UCLA had lost again.
It’s 9-5, gave away 2 points on SEs already

  45. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:40 pm

Looking at the standings: already in: BYU 18-3, Pepperdine 16-6, Stanford 15-7
UCSB 14-8, UCI 14-8, Long Beach 13-9, UCLA 13-9, USC 14-10. UH would be 13-9 with a win tonight.

BTW: West with the slam off the block rebound. it’s 12-7. TO BYU

  46. Tiki808 April 5, 2014 8:40 pm

2-0 UH Warriors up. Like I said last night, a win again. MPSF playoffs automatic. I saw their website too. Sorry!

  47. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:43 pm

    47. don’t know what website you are referring to. UH has not made the playoffs yet. And does not even with a win tonight.

  48. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:44 pm

UH up 15-10 at the TTO.

  49. Tiki808 April 5, 2014 8:46 pm

15-10 overall, 13-9 conference play. good enough for MPSF playoffs. Who is the short player? …?

  50. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:49 pm

overall doesn’t mean anything. look at the standings as posted a few posts earlier
    UH up 19-14

  51. Tiki808 April 5, 2014 8:49 pm

Joke on your comment Cindy. Pay!

  52. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:50 pm

UH with another block, up 20-14. TO BYU

  53. FormerlyWarriorfan April 5, 2014 8:52 pm

Put in johann and aniefre coach!!

  54. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:53 pm

Rivera called for another illegal attack. Cougars have swapped liberos. it’s 22-15. that includes 4 SEs by UH. Sander serving. UH can’t afford to let him go off.

  55. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:53 pm

Ace by Sander makes it 22-17. TO UH

  56. FormerlyWarriorfan April 5, 2014 8:54 pm

And just as i type that byu scores three in a row ugh!

  57. Tiki808 April 5, 2014 8:55 pm

Tell them because I use computer more than a football player does. Too comment? Sorry! UH will win.

  58. Brandon April 5, 2014 8:56 pm

Come on warriors! Close this out! You guys can do this!

  59. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:56 pm

    didn’t say they wouldn’t UH up 24-18

  60. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:57 pm

UH with their third set point. it’s 24-19. Zarkovic has tied his career high with 22.

  61. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 8:57 pm

    Sarkovic from 3-meter 25-19.

  62. FormerlyWarriorfan April 5, 2014 8:59 pm

  63. pudundo April 5, 2014 9:00 pm

Great 2 match sweep for the Warriors!!

  64. FormerlyWarriorfan April 5, 2014 9:06 pm

    Wish Fre got to play.

  65. Brandon April 5, 2014 9:10 pm

Emily, Kaela and ali gave jace leis. And Emily’s arm looks to be out of her sling

  66. jmy April 5, 2014 9:37 pm

Great series for UH…I knew they could sweep at home…BYU looked really tired tonight…

  67. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 9:52 pm

    68. i thought BYU looked tired too, especially Dobbert. Rivera had an off match and think that brought the team down a bit. UH touched enough of Sander’s attempts that he was a bit frustrated too and they didn’t have much success running their middle attack. Averill put up a wall.

  68. Cindy Luis April 5, 2014 9:52 pm

New thread up for the rewind. good night.
