Congrats to Gage. Think Rado should’ve gotten the award for opposites.

Sorry to change the subject, but the latest Coaches Poll doesn’t even have UCSD in the rankings. But has Long Beach St. who hasn’t played anyone significant so far. Ridiculous if you ask me.

Anyway, congrats to the Bows for the win and to Worsley for the Weekly national honor!

just out of curiosity, LBSU won the national championship last season, why weren’t they ranked #1? not that I’m complaining about Hawaii being ranked 1rst, but it’s just interesting to see them not even ranked 2nd either

    3

I could be wrong but I believe they had a lot of seniors on last years squad so they lost a lot of their starters

Wow once again the Big West owning the top rankings

  5. Harvey January 20, 2020 1:57 pm

3,4. The ranking is about who they lost more than anything. I’m glad to not see Josh Tuaninga anymore. That dude was an awesome setter IMO and the difference between UH winning the championship and being runner up last year.

  6. Harvey January 20, 2020 1:59 pm

*Tuaniga. Sorry for midmorning mispelling his name. On my phone and typing with thumbs.

Josh T did deep dish sets which is completely awesome if your playing beach volleyball but its indoor so I always got frustrated when he rarely got called for them. If ur hands dip below ur chin, it’s considered a lift for indoors, the guy was serving up deep dish like it was pizza in New York.. just sayin’

    3. because Hawaii had a lot returning from No. 2 team and Long Beach State lost A LOT

  9. Beauston January 20, 2020 3:19 pm

Happy to see Wade rewarding Sheward and Galloway the start against LMU. Now they just got to continue earning it.

I like this LMU webcast. Good production values, the announcer are easy on the ears.

  15. sports for fun January 20, 2020 3:50 pm

14 . agreed. It also seems like they studied how to pronounce the Hawai’i player names.

  16. Auntyz January 20, 2020 4:22 pm

I agree LMU webcast nicely done.

  17. Harvey January 20, 2020 4:29 pm

If anyone from the LMU administration reads this, you guys have a fun team and good broadcast crew. I’m sold. I’ve bookmarked the LMU webcast site so I can follow you and wish you all a successful rest of the season.
