Any first thoughts on the Men’s returning team and new players?

They’ve lost some key players, but I think they’ll still be very good…probable contenders for the championship again…just my two cents…

    3. Agreed.

You’ve got to believe that they’re going to be one of the top teams next year. They return arguably the best opposite, libero and middle in the country. Cowell has development as an outside hitter is simply amazing and to fill in the remaining positions they have a bunch of impressively talented players waiting in the wings (Thelle, Voss, Mouchlias, Humler, etc.).

The Warriors have reloaded and everyone’s back from last year. I think that’s the first time that’s happened.

I think they’ll be one of the top teams. Will be interesting to see who will be the starters for the 3 positions up for grabs.

Again, the A side will lose sets in practice, but not in games. 😀

Warrior Volleyball Booster Club membership is now open for next season. Come join us and support the team. Members can attend pre-match Chalk Talks, post-game potlucks (usually monthly) and help out with various committees.

    1. Sad to hear about Hebert. A really good guy
Contemporary of Shoji at UCSB and fraternity IM rivals.
    2. not really. They may be ranked preseason No. 1.
they lost a lot but have a lot back. much will depend on the setting but returners are used to the two returning setters.
think the two new foreign players will help immediately
They have Beach and Irvine in the SSC but always tough on the road at UCSB and CSUN.
    5. Thanks for the booster info.
