Hawaii receives 15 first-place votes, is No. 1 in today’s first AVCA poll of the regular season.

Behind the Warriors are No 2. BYU and 3. UCLA, the Bruins receiving the other first-place vote.

    Thanks, again, for more explanation on the scheduling issue.
    It will really be crap for MVB if this proposal goes through.

    The thing with that schedule is that most of the BW schools do not draw for their volleyball matches so changing the time Wednesday and Sunday wouldn’t make much of a difference.

    But for UH, who have to pay travel subsidies for all members, it is important that we play on day that would allow us to draw.

    I find it hard to believe that the BW will screw UH over like this. Make us pay subsidies and force us to play on days that do not draw well.

    If the BW insist on being so unreasonable and treat UH so unfairly, I think UH should just leave the BW in volleyball and go over to the MSPF.

    Why can the BW not make exceptions for us? We already at a huge disadvantage with our location and our force subsidies.

    I hope the UH adminstration will be able to resolve this horrible set up with the BW and find a middle ground.
